the hill that i will be pitching on in this whole twitter situation is that the reason so many of us are on tumblr is because we don’t feel like being censored by discourse and rules that were established around ten years ago now.
their content has developed, hell the whole of media and society has developed. do you think in 2012 we would have gotten canon destiel (sorry spn people i don’t watch so i probs spelt that wrong) or trans daughter of donna noble?
not just that - but they have developed. they actually came out almost half a decade ago! and since then dnp have been offered the freedom from the constraints they were in during the *unwritten rules* era. they had rules they had to follow and so did we - but those rules no longer apply
they saw how we reacted to their coming out, the unequivocal support we have for the boys means that they can make gay jokes with us and be safe to do so. and dan especially was able to witness this during wad. they were able to see, online and in person, that we support them, we care for them. in witnessing that they now feel comfortable enough to make the kind of content we have had post-hiatus. the amount of times where they say “we’re old and gay now but christ so are all of you”.
we’ve developed individually, as they have too. to govern discourse with the rules and regulations set in place in 2012 is mental and uncalled for, and that’s why (personally) i will spend time on phandom tumblr rather than twitter - because they still censor, they still disregard their relationship, they ignore what dnp are saying to us as an audience

Thoughts on the Madrigal's Love Lives
I'm currently playing around with my head canons for Encanto's future and in trying to solidify what each Madrigal's partner would be like I came to a realization. The Madrigals each have such unique life experiences, that their partners would kind of need to be equally unique in order for them to relate to each other. Like every time I start shaping an OC for one of the Madrigals, I just can't see Mirabel connecting to your average joe, or Luisa ending up with somebody who isn't especially gentle. Even when I try making a bland background sort of character, I just find myself asking "Why the hell would Mirabel be interested in this guy?". It's like how Agustin and Felix are both such great characters, they kinda have to be in order for it to make sense that Julieta and Pepa would love them.

You said I could ramble so here I am are to ramble about your fics. Specifically Unraveling because that was a fun surprise in my inbox when I got out of a thing this morning.
So I already commented but now you get the ramble.
I love that it was Wild, Hyrule and Wind helping Sky remember his courage. Wind where he literally made himself into the hero. And Wild for the amazing BOTW quote “Courage need not be remembered for it is never forgotten” and Roolie, the humble traveler who just picked up a sword and fought evil before he really knew what a hero was.
And then Wisdom. My favorite part is that you could almost believe that the first trio are near-death-experience-projections of his brothers created by him or Weaver or some combination of the two, there’s that moment where they break character and you see hints that somehow, it is actually Time and Legend and Four helping him pass the test of Wisdom. And Time getting to talk to Sky. I always love soft interactions between those two.
Power, omfg, Power. I love that you brought back in the Flames of Din fighting with him and Wars. It’s so freaking cool. And those two make so much sense to be allied to power. Twilight being the physically strongest Link and his whole quest being a journey of discovering his own power. Wars… I love him. His game is a display of power. He may hold courage but he fights with power.
And the other person who really needed needed to talk to Sky taking a moment to apologize. I’m glad Twilight was able to say the words (finally) and if there was any doubt that these visions were projections or actually his brothers, another dose of ‘breaking character’ from Twilight to show It’s actually him.
And the implication that Twilight has met Weaver. Did I catch that right? Maybe it’s Demise but it feels like Weaver?
I love that the last chapter was Sky reclaiming himself.
“I am Link, hero of the Skies, the first holder of the hero’s spirit.” It’s great when any of the heroes use their titles. I love it. Chills down my spine.

This gave me happy clap vibes. Im so glad you are enjoying it! It's great to read how people are reading the story, I've got my little notebook of loose ends and stuff that I'm ticking off as I go and it's nice to see people pick up on them!
The projections have more too them, but we have to go back to what the chain is doing to find out about that. So not yet.
As for Twilight, He is a special case for a reason, which I do plan on elaborating on later, but yes. He has met Weave. And It's for a different reason to say why Wild hasn't met Weave. But we have to go more into The Weaver's story for that and that is not coming up yet.
(Weaver is a character I'll be using again cause dear lord i love him so much)
sky reclaiming who he is, remembering who he is, through the trials that he's been put through. As a whole it's a story of growth and change.
I'm very excited for the next chapter, it's probably going to be my fave to write because it's everything I love in writing. And I'm very excited about it. (but it'll probably be a while cause I need this one to be perfecttttt, there's a feeling I'm trying to get across and I've gotta keep reworking it till i get it right)

Man oh man, the Pau'an inquisitor comic is becoming a bit of a monstrosity.
I mean, I'm enjoying making it, I'm really really enjoying every single panel in a way I haven't enjoyed anything I've drawn in a long time, but it's also simultaneously scaring me a bit. And also I guess it's vaguely potentially embarrassing.
Because 1) I'm definitely not equipped skill-wise for all I'd like to show, and 2) my current estimation for the comic is at around 60 pages, which is a lot, and 3) it's a bit vulnerable to put something out there where it's visibly a creation you care too much about, like a comic is a whole commitment, a marathon, in a way a single illustration can't ever be.
But I guess (I hope!!) that it's better to make something half-baked than to just keep it all my head forever.
My one great big motivation is having read once that the best way to complete a project is to lower your expectations for it, so I'm trying not overthink* or get snagged on attempting great quality, just to do it, however it turns out.
*I say whilst clearly overthinking it.
