I wanna tell yall that I had a LMK-focused dream once where Bai He was in the Celestial Realm during S4 (no explanation), and in the "safe house/palace" away from the Brotherhood she found an old man lying gravelly injured in a bed and went to comfort him

The man was the Jade Emperor. Fatally wounded by Azure Lion but swept away by his dear wife before the final blow.

Bai He is barely the size of the emperor's palm, and she climbs up on the bed and scoots over to him and asks if he's ok.

The Emperor, delirious with pain and fading fast, whispers; "Oh Zhinu... I was wondering where you where."

His eyes close and Bai He assumes he's napping. She crawls next to him and falls asleep to keep him company.

Then a dream sequence occurs where the Jade Emperor is staring down three much larger emperor-figures, holding Bai He in his arms.

White Robed Emperor: "You can't be serious!" Black Robed Emperor: "She's not even legitimate!" Red Robed Emperor: "It will be a great mistake." Jade Emperor, softly: "I don't care. She's perfect." *looks down at Bai He with the sad fondness of a grandfather*

Bai He wakes up in the arms of the Queen Mother. The celestial tigress walking solemnly away from the Emperor's bedroom. The Queen's face is stained with tears.

Bai He: "Is the grandpa man going to be ok?" Queen Mother: "He's in a far better place now child... can you tell me your name?" Bai He: "I'm Bai He." Queen Mother, satisfied nod: "Princess White Lily. A beautiful title for a little girl." Bai He: "???"

and it ended there.

Btw; Bai He had cat ears like my cat demon idea for her. The Queen Mother and JE made a point of petting them in the dream.

So for a few days now, I've been trying to puzzle out what memories Monkey King was seeing in those brief blink-and-you'll-miss-it glimpses we got in the broken memory scroll. Maybe you guys have some input?

Let's start out easy - these two flashes are very straightforward. He sees the Jade Emperor bearing down on him, either in battle or in punishment. Simple enough! (Though the way he's holding his head in pain is breaking my heart a bit.)

The next one is a bit trickier (and my shoddy picture quality isn't helping, so if anyone has any higher-resolution screenshots, I'd appreciate it!) - we can make out Wukong fighting someone, staff in hand. His opponent seems quite large and bulky, and their head-shape might suggest the Demon Bull King - but I don't think we ever see DBK in such long, flowing sleeves in this show. Though maybe this is their encounter during the Journey, and those sleeves belong to the green silk dinner jacket the Bull King was then wearing in the original tale?

Then there's the next one, which just has me utterly nonplussed; it's nearly impossible to make out much of anything in it, since the memory flash is so faint. Those two darker shapes might be a pair of eyes? But if so, they'd be set in a truly massive head, so I'm not sure. Whatever it is, the shape seems to be bound with glowing ropes - so maybe we're looking at our dear Great Sage Equal to Heaven, bound with the diamond snare at his own execution? It's the only thing I can think of, but if you guys have any better ideas, I'm all ears!

And then there's the last memory flash, which is a lot more straightforward again, but very interesting in its own right. 😌 We see someone's bare, muscled torso, and judging by the overall build and those hair tassels, I'm going to assume it's probably Azure Lion, so-

...soooooo, hey Wukong! Any reason in particular why you remember seeing Azure Lion's naked tiddies? 👀 Anything you want to share with the class, o Great Sage?

Let’s be real, who ever those guys that let Azure out of the scroll defiantly knew this would happen

I feel like they’re kinda similar to LBD in their way of plotting

But I do believe that the entire plan was to get that golden ball of the Jade Emperor’s power

I’ve seen theories about them being the 10 Kings of the Underworld

Who Wukong met and they showed him the book that he scratched him name off of

Macaque even specifically mentions this and aside from just showing how far Wukong is willing to go, it also sets up some backstory to the cloaked figures

Cause one thing that’s interesting about how immortality works in JTTW is that it’s not a one and done.

Wukong has done so many things to make him immortal and they just add a few thousand years to his life

But even the almighty Jade Emperor was technically killed (and aging cause he had black hair in flashbacks but white in the present)

But it seems like Wukong can’t be and that probably angers the Kings of the Underworld

But with the Powers of the Jade Emperor, I’m sure that can make it so Wukong can still be affected by their rules

LMK Heaven Needs Work Theories / Season 5 Ideas!

The heavens of the Lmk universe has been in need to fire some guards or update protocols. With the death of the Jade Emperor, they should know it's the time. I made them and us a small map of needed changes and more mistakes they've made. The episode the Revenge of the Spider Queen is the best example of this.

When the crew and Red s\Son sneaked around the palace, Peach orchard, and the alchemy lab is the best example of how low the security of the palace is. How mortals were able to sneak around the place is extraordinary.

They parked a huge ship at the front entrance, demons were running ramped around loudly, the orchard was being trampled, the lab had dangerous viles spilled and dark magics unleashed, and even worse the security that was there the lion guards were activated and running after intruders. None of this was quiet this was a huge amount of noise in a very quiet environment.

But where were the guards, the guys in charge of protecting this place? Why with all this noise was no one reacting to it. Either they got overconfident in their powers and did not see anyone else as being a real threat and did not have their guards out at all times. This is my most thought theory for it because they have shown time and time again to be overconfident and think they are the biggest fish in the pond.

The other theory is there was something going on at another place, either at another building in the realm or in further parts of the palace. A big event might explain it if they were loud enough maybe. It might also explain the lack of just other beings sure we saw some maidens and maybe scholars but other than that no other gods or goddesses were around.

Some might say it's just a show thing but Megaopolis has a lot of background art and characters this could have been a chance to have shown more of their ideas of the heavenly realm. A guard in armor a known figure or two just sneaking around. They did not do that here. Why?

ALSO with the aftermath of this damage, I thought of FIC IDEAS or even POSSIBLE IDEAS for SEASON 5 it's whichever you think it is!

With the Jade Emperor gone the realm need a new emperor but into someone can handle the power a full true leader might not be chosen for a bit. However, they might have a temporary leader until then. My thoughts instantly go to Erlang Shen.

We did not get to see much of him except for a few scenes. But this could be the chance. With how things work in the celestial realm they would most likely have the temporary Emperor aka Erlang Shen be handling issues like the aftermath of the Camel Ridge Trio's invasion, LDB, and most of all the crew's "rampage" through the palace and their "thieving". With their strong sense of what is right or wrong. The crew might be put on trial for all the destruction but with no thought of their good motives and reasons.

Maybe seeing too many parallels like many of Sun Wukong's former opponents have between MK and Wukong, they might feel threatened. Then my mind went to the golden fillet. it's how they handled Sun Wukong before why should it not work again for MK right? (That's their opinion not mine.)

But I also thought of Wukong getting blamed or taking the blame for what the others did while he was tied up. I can see the dragon lords getting mad and blaming Wukong for Mei's actions because he "obviously influenced her." NOT seeing that's just Mei's personality. With a conflict against heaven for the next season I can see more explanations of Wukongs actions during his time there and maybe, even more, incite into what happened during the "betrayal".

I was just like “Imagine season 5 of LMK comes out and the new Jade Emperor is Erlang Shen wouldn’t that be crazy”

Then I realized that’s actually very possible meta wise given how LMK is based on JTTW and Erlang Shen hasn’t shown up yet despite being a pretty important character especially when talking about Sun Wukong. It would also bring up an interesting conflict since I doubt either of them would want an active conflict with Erlang Shen already having a lot to deal with being the new Jade Emperor and Sun Wukong trying to find out who brought back Azure Lion and gave him the scroll. And yet somehow I doubt either would trust the other to not take advantage of the situation to start a fight
