BREAKING NEWS: New Trailer of 'Helluva Boss' unveils final 5 new episodes in Season 2 at the 'LVLUP Expo 2024' in Las Vegas [#OneNETnewsEXCLUSIVE]
Tumblr media
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- Fans of 'Helluva Boss' at 'LVLUP Expo 2024' given in a sneak peek into the last 5 episodes of Season 2 in a thrilling and bloody twist of events. The public online release of a new trailer on Saturday afternoon (April 27th, 2024 -- Maryland local time) showcased it as an emotional rollercoaster that sets up for what is promised to be an action-packed final stretch.
Season 2 began to stream in the late-July 2022 with its premiere episode titled "The Circus", setting the stage for a wild and unpredictable journey for the crew of Immediate Murder Professionals (IMP). These next 5 months in chronological dating order that will keep them on the edge of their seats at home, or travelling on the go, wherever you are watching them from!
For those didn't know about, 'LVLUP Expo' is a 3-day dynamic event filled with gaming tournaments, cosplay contests, collectible vendors and artists from all over the world coming together under one roof! This year's convention held at the 'Las Vegas Convention Center' (LVCC) in 'West Hall, Paradise Road, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America (U.S.A.)', was a hub of creativity, passion and competitive spirit. With more than 50 special guests and influencers, such as voice actors from the universes of 'Hazbin Hotel' and 'Helluva Boss', along with YouTubers and Twitch streamer stars. It provided fans with a wide range of opportunities to meet their online idols.
During the 'Helluva Boss' panel this past weekend, an attendee who had paid for access to the event streamed snippets of upcoming episodes on YouTube LIVE (owned by Google's Alphabet). These clips and experts of voice actors and actresses gave viewers a taste of what they can expect from this dramatic and thrilling season. The panel included behind-the-scenes stories and exclusive content from the creators and voices behind the show, exciting local and global participants even further.
In an industry-shattering move made via the 'X Network' (formerly known as Twitter) and a YouTube trailer… Ms. Vivienne Maree Medrano, who is a show creator and indie animated production company of 'SpindleHorse Toons', shared the titles for the last 5 new monthly 'Helluva Boss' episodes. Starting with Episode #8 until #12 – 'The Full Moon', then 'Apology Tour', 'Ghostfuckers', 'Mastermind' up until Sinsmas; which is expected to be gripping Season 2 finale later in December 2024. This roster guarantees to push the boundaries of the Immediate Murder Professionals (IMP) squad in a way that has more being unprecedented, creating a perfect package and a setup for a remarkable finale to the season.
Looking ahead of it, regarding the 3rd Season of 'Helluva Boss', talks are already happening as independent sources told local Maryland media reporters. The news comes from a virtual panel that took place on 'Streamily' last year in the late-March, and the autograph signing event that could span across the U.S.A. These aforementioned panels and events were held to celebrate the end of Season 2 of the televised web series.
The show captures viewers with its funny, action-packed episodes that fills with a heart, so it's no surprise that fans can't wait for more. And while we don’t know what Season 3 will bring, this only means there are endless possibilities in store for us.
The final 5 new episodes of Helluva Boss releases next month! They will premiere monthly starting in May. Streaming exclusively free-of-charge, only on YouTube!

Are Conventions Still Relevant?
Tumblr media
Show of hands, who has Twitter? Instagram? Discord or Tumblr? Seemingly everyone on earth nowadays has some form of social media, and does a significant amount of their socializing on it.
The group most prolific for this are known to the world as nerds, geeks, dorks, or sometimes just weirdos. They’ve been there since the beginning of conventions, the internet, and most other things you’d associate with traditional media.
The image you think of when you hear the word nerd is not what it always looked like. The invention of the internet kickstarted it into what we perceive now, but before it looked more like social clubs, political groups, and of course cults.
The precursor to modern conventions were purely political ones, where majorly older white men gathered to discuss the world and politics. These date back to the 1800’s and continue to this day.
Tumblr media
Now we have conventions for anything and everything. My personal favorites are for vacuums, clowning, mermaiding, and oddity selling.
But the first notable nerd convention is San Diego Comic Con. Though not the first nerd convention, it is the one that would become most famous and successful.
Started in the 70’s by a devoted group of comic book, film, and science fiction fans, it is our starting point for what would become nerd culture as we know it today. For the first time, a group that had otherwise always felt othered and ostracized, as evident by their depictions in pop culture at the time like the film Revenge of the Nerds, had a place to embrace themselves and their communities.
Nerd gatherings, and thus, their culture, began to explode. More conventions started, communities expanded, fandoms were created, and lifelong friendships were made.
By the 80’s, the nerd was practically a subset of human beings with their own codes, cultures, languages, and more. Many now remember this as the golden age of nerds, with the commercialization of their culture coming soon after.
Because there is no longer anyone on the planet who hasn’t seen a Marvel movie, which in fact used to be a comic company if you didn’t know, and Twitter arguments over who’s stan is more valid are commonplace, we tend to forget our roots and what it’s all about.
So what is it all about? Conventions were the birthplace of the nerd, but with the invention of the internet, Discord servers, and Amazon merch what’s the point anymore?
Tumblr media
An image of convention goers at LVL UP Expo, from Eventbrite.com
To answer this question I took myself to LVL UP Expo, a local Vegas convention for gaming, anime, and everything dorky to ask some dorks myself. The hustle and bustle of these conventions and of course my own nerdy shyness made it difficult to get some answers, but to those brave souls who spoke to me, this is what they said.
“I just wanted to buy real bladed swords and to get autographs,” said Gaby Benities, 19.
“I only want to cosplay,” said another nerd.
“To me it just feels more real or legitimate when you’re in a physical place surrounded by people who share your interests; it’s easier to have spontaneous moments of ‘oh hey I recognize your outfit!’ or ‘you’re in line to meet this actor too?’ that you just can’t get anywhere else” said Jake Palmas, 25.
For my part, it’s the only place I feel like I can be my real self and be seen. Just knowing everyone there is there for the same reasons, they’re all like me, makes me feel at home like no other place could. It’s also the best place I know to easily get your hands on cute, creative and interesting art from all kinds of people I otherwise would have never heard of.
Conventions matter. They are an incredible way to support local art, engage and meet people for those that struggle with that, expand communities, and feel like yourself.
Every one of the things I listed, and those given by guests and LVL UP Expo can be done on the internet, but from what I’ve heard and my own personal experience, it’s just not the same. Nothing could ever truly replicate the feeling someone can get from being surrounded by people who understand you.
I’m sure that’s something everyone has struggled with and can relate to. So instead of asking why, ask why not? Why not support something that has only benefited people? (Except that one furry convention from the 90’s, I’m looking at you). Support the artists, the communities, the companies and creators who want to engage with you!
So if you’ve never  been to a convention, not just the nerdy ones, go. I promise there’s something for you. But if you don’t like large crowds and can’t stand body odor, maybe just stick to Facebook.

To anyone saying that Viv’s work is declining in popularity:
At the LVLUP expo, the Helluva Boss panel on Saturday was so popular that the main event room filled to capacity within ten minutes of letting people in and several hundred more weren’t able to even get into the panel because it was so crowded
Also the line to see Viv and get her autograph was several hours long.
Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are more popular than ever and will continue to grow, DEAL WITH IT.

Saturday Thoughts
The con was fun yesterday. May have spend my budget in one day so may only go back Sunday to look for some deals. I may have also bought some wigs I can use for a future cosplay idea. I will need to get some bobby pins and hairclips. I will have to get a zip up bag to keep everything in for my con bag. Which will make things a lot easier and can serve as a mini first aide bag as well.
