And in even more casting news today the "Outlander" prequel "Blood of my Blood" has casted 4 more roles. First is Brian McCardie as Issac Grant. Then Jhon Lumsden as his son Malcolm Grant, who is also a suitor of Jamie's mom Ellen's. Then Sara Vickers, who I loved on "Endeavour", has been cast as Brian's mother and Jamie's paternal grandmother Davina Porter, who is named after the "Outlander" book series' actual narrator. Finally, Peter Mullan from many shows/movies is Red Jacob MacKenzie, Jamie's maternal grandfather and the head of Clan MacKenzie.

The Dark vault gets a solid 4/5 ⭐️from me because I truly and thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to end but tbf its a pretty slow start for me. But after the first 6 chapters I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. My thoughts was filled only with Mac and Owen and Wes and figuring WHOS THE TRAITOR.

The i start the second book half of the dark vault novel and i immediately thought “damn she CANNOT catch a break” like the girl has been through so much and she’s only 16. I know she needs to prove she can do her job and all but at least let her BREATHE. Poor Cash man like i so loved him but then again Im also Team Wesley from the moment he was introduced in the Coronado hallway. But most of all poor all the guys that was sucked into the void like they were innocent and ERIC OMG HE WAS SO NICE TOO UGHHH. Also Agatha is determined to alter Mac i mean i get why I guess (but im still biased cause i love mac) she did defy her outright. Must’ve really hurt her little pride but Patrick man what a snitch i DO NOT like him i do however like Dallas shes a real one i love her.

Plot wise I thought it was pretty good (both books) it was all well established. I enjoyed that too but hopefully in the third book there’s no more Owen because we gotta move on. Mackenzie’s character development was so good too i love how she says she doesn’t care but from the start despite her Da’s advices, she cant help it. We see it in the way she’s curious about the histories of things and people. In the way she wants to find out about the missing time; in the way she sympathies with Owen; in the way she lied to or kept from Wes; in the way she interacts with her parents and the way she clings to ben’s belongings. Later in the 2nd book she cares even more (which is how those guys was sucked in the void) entertaining Owen’s ideas of a new Archive where she wouldn’t need to lie and worry her parents every day. But her hugging her mother, saying to Wes “You’re worth it” at the dance was her accepting that caring isn’t so bad and it’s worth it.

If nothing else i want to read more of them two really.

american vandal season 1 episode 8 clean up is truly thee 40 minutes of television ever.

dylan’s finally proven innocent yet at the expense of mackenzie, the show so deftly imitates real true crime documentaries and then dedicates this episode to the fallout of peter’s and everyone’s actions during the doc. sara’s confrontation and peter’s acceptance of her anger, gabi and sam’s quiet reconciliation only shown to us through overlayed audio and a blurry, zoomed in shot of them; the brief vindication dylan experiences only to then be shot down by ms shapiro with his viewing of the documentary cementing the perception of him as a burnout without a future. the cyclical repetition in the end but this time there’s no saving dylan. the revelation of christa as the vandal yet the show refuses to give a clean resolution to reinforce the themes made clear in mackenzie’s monologue - that you can make anyone look guilty with circumstantial evidence. peter’s final monologue…the emmys this show deserved
