i think i would recommend starting with the album the black parade. its one of the Iconic ones, its got welcome to the black parade on it, its v good. i feel like, idk what the word is but like the music style is similar to both their earlier stuff and their later stuff like its right in the middle

from thereee id say the album three cheers for sweet revenge. another classic, a lot of their most popular songs r on that album. you know what they do to guys like us in prison is on that album and thats one of their best songs /biased /correct

from there there’s i brought you my bullets, you brought me your love (their first album and criminally underrated by everyone but tumblr girlies), danger days: the true lives of the fabulous killjoys (my favourite album <3) and conventional weapons (i am currently in my conwep era and it is awesome god bless). there’s also the b-sides to the black parade, and the mad gear and missle kid ep, which is part of the danger days universe.

AND theres hit new single the foundations of decay (2022). which is my most listened song on spotify despite it coming out 4 months ago. and there is the album that Isnt Confirmed and i Shouldnt Get My Hopes Up but. gnaws at the bars of my enclosure

my brain isnt working rn so i cant rlly explain them well but each album also has a storyline, those r cool to look into, tbh i didnt know that until a couple years after i got into mcr and was like damn. wdym tbp is abt a hospital patient dying of cancer. why didn’t anyone tell me (they did) (theres a song called cancer on the album) (i’m not that bright). i recommend listening to each album with the songs in order if u want to get rlly into the stories behind them but its not like Necessary its just fun

as for specific songs !! if u havent heard welcome to the black parade, teenagers, famous last words, im not okay, and helena which r some of their most popular songs i recommend starting there. also my current favourites off each album are early sunsets over monroeville, you know what they do to guys like us in prison, famous last words, bulletproof heart, and gun ^_^
