Let's talk about Gerry's painting, shall we? We don't know what it is supposed to look like yet, but we do know that it's called “Camden Epiphany”. Now Camden is usually the name of a person or place, but not a word in English. So let's look at the origins of this name.

Winding valleys, labyrinths. Familiar. The meaning of the word definitely seems to line up with the episode's statement/entry, and also with the Spiral in general (I know we're not using those classifications anymore, it just helps with explaining my point).

And "epiphany" is, of course, used to refer to a sudden realization or revelation. This reminded me of Gerry's painting in TMA (MAG04).

The calligraphy in particular stands out to me. It seems to be asking for an epiphany, to grant the viewer or the creator a revelation of some sort.

I think that Gerry's recent painting wasn't just a throwaway moment. It's gonna come back later and it's going to be important to the narrative. And of course, I doubt that Gerry and Gertrude are going to be irrelevant to the plot. I don't think this is the last we've seen of them.

My favourite part of TMA is when Jon and Mike Crew interact, exclusively because Jon asks ‘how did you get your scar?’ Except HE ALREADY KNOWS because in Mag04: Page Turner we find out how Michael got his scar, he was struck by lighting - notable from the smell of ozone. Jon didn’t need to ask, he did anyways to be a little shit.

Belated Realisation about Mag04 (Page Turner)

Look Dominic, I know you’re freaking out about the scary murders and ghosts and childhood flashbacks, but... How many people get handed £5k in exchange for a charity shop book and a waste paper basket? Seriously! Do you have any idea how much of a jammy bastard you are?

RIP to you, but I’d happily take care of a spooky book for a couple of days, if at the end of it somebody turned up and took it off me in exchange for three months’ fucking wages.

My partner is beginning to listen to The Magnus Archives and, where I devour content like a maniac, he takes his time and savours. Is hell. I'm trying so hard to respect the rhythm… But yesterday we listened together “Pageturner”, that is just the fourth episode, and was a true trial of love, wits and strength… I forgot that that chapter had it all.

We hear from the frickin Library of Jurgen Leitner with nothing less than the exquisite Ex-Altiora. (near impossible to hold a smirk)...Not only that, Mike Crew is named and a third person POV of his origin story (I had to hold down my eyebrows)... And then… the bottom witch, one great horrible no good mother that is Mary Keay. Diseased, tattooed, bald and downright creepy. (I couldn’t keep myself from doing some excited sounds). 

And when Gerard Keay appeared on the doorstep, in all his scruffy goth glory I broke all the contracts and did a “WOOOO!” and clapped, like when in a sitcom a beloved character makes an entrance. I lost it. I lost it.

The amount of red string possible from minute one in this series is outstanding.

Poor partner let out a long suffering sigh and was “I should keep an eye on those characters then…” And I was “Sorry… but… yes, oh yes… you should keep an EYE on those… yep. An EYE muahahaha”. 

He should ask for a divorce.
