1. What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don't care anymore?

I wouldn't say I don't care anymore, I just haven't been inspired by them in a while, but definitely Inu/Kag. They were not my first ship, but they were the first ship I wrote for.

2. Which ship would you consider your first one?

Serena/Darien from the Sailor Moon US dub.

3. Your first fanfic belonged to which couple?

Inu/Kag. And no...you can't read it.

Inu/Kag. it was drawn by my friend

5. Did you ever get into ship discourse?

Ha! I am the discourse....yes. I do.

6. Did you used to have a NOTP or have it currently?

Kataang and Sess/Rin. The full body cringe I get when I think of either of them...

7. Who were the couple in the last fanfic you read?

Zutara

8. Currently, do you have any OTPs?

Zutara, forever and ever. Usa/Mamo (now that I've seen the original Japanese version), Inu/Kag

9. Is there any couple, to this day, you are extremely mad about not getting together?

Zutara. They are my only OTP that isn't canon, but they should have been. Hayley and Andy from Modern Family is next. I'm honestly not happy at how they handled Hayley's arc in general. The writers were so cruel to her! I'm still not over it, and I'm mulling over a fix-it fic for her (one-shot probably). Ichabbie (Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills) are in third place, but a very distant third. I lost all respect for Sleepy Hollow after how they treated both Abbie the character and Nichole Beharie the actress.

10. Is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting?

...no. Not really. I mean, I guess you could count CaptainSwan from OUAT, but that's less I didn't like the ship and more I wanted to get rid of Emma so EYE could have Hook.

11. Do you have any ship that, in the past, was considered normal but now would be canceled over?

I mean...probably? I can't think of any right now. I only have a handful of ships that I care enough about to talk about, and most of them don't appear on my blog, so...🤷🏾‍♀️

12. What was your favorite crack ship?

Mai/Aang (or Flying Dagger as I call them). I don't even really consider this a crack ship. Don't get me wrong, I see them being a disaster together, but not in a cracky sort of way. More of a reality show couple way.

13. Who is the couple you read more fanfics of?

Zutara these days. It used to be more of an even split between my top 3 ships, but the fact that I get around to reading anything these days feels like an accomplishment.

14. What do most of your ships usually have in common?

Powerful women and the powerful men who would die protecting them. Also, powerful women and the powerful men who are their biggest cheerleaders

15. What do you absolutely hate in a ship?

I mean...pick a trait from Kataang, and that's pretty much it. Hero gets the girl because he's the hero; the woman becomes the supportive background partner no matter how powerful and ambitious she was before she got with him; Man can't control his violent outburst without his partner's help. Kataang is the embodiment of everything I hate in a ship.

A part of me is torn between wishing the Shitennou were brought back and stayed consistently relevant characters while being love interests for the inner senshi, and not wanting anything to come between Rei and Minako.

Because honestly? I genuinely think they did end up together at the end. Like- I don't know why but I would swear that Minako and Rei are already a couple in Stars.

So what if, hypothetically, the shitennou did come back. And they were there to support Mamo just as they're meant to. They chill and Mamo has his brothers with him through the rest of high school. And then they get to pursue their own aspirations whatever they may be. But also, not all of them dates one of the inner senshi, ie. Rei x Mina sails.

Also its probably just me, but Mercury x Zoisite doesn't seem... how to put it, believable? Compatible? Idk they are the one couple that I don't think clicks as much in that group of 8 characters. I still like them, but they need more. So maaaayyybe Zoisite x Kunzite sails too??

I do really like Nephrite x Jupiter

Also as for Jadeite x Mars, they look very appealing together. Plus they are the first SenshixShitennou pair that was implied in both manga and crystal. Y'know in act 3 where he's stroking her face before Rei uh killed him LOL

And as for Kunzite x Venus. I mean yes they definitely fit and they had the most implication between them of the four pairs.

That said, I do prefer ReixMina.

I think SenshixShitennou should stay in the past, I think too much happened while they were apart that would effect their dynamics with each other in a way it never effected Mamo and Usa.

Plus, if I were to combine both 90s and manga/crystal cannon, the pairings I'm most supportive of for the inner senshi are:

Ami x Ryo

Rei x Minako

Makoto x Asanuma

And as for the Shitennou, I think Kunzite x Zoisite was a good move on 90s part. And I've already made a post joking about how they might have been cannon in the manga lol.

I saw someone comparing Seiya (sailor moon 90s anime) to Aang and I personally disagree with the comparison, I think Seiya respected Usagi as a friend and didn't make advances once it was out in the open that Mamoru was killed off, but what do you think?

I think saying that Seiya respected Usagi is a stretch. Usagi made it clear several times that she wasn't interested, and did so in a way that, to me, didn't make Seiya's continued pursuit of her cute. Seiya didn't immediately back off, and iirc, badmouthed Mamoru several times before it was revealed that Mamoru was killed. I think that was Seiya showing more respect for Mamoru's death than for Usagi's feelings, and I am not a fan. I did not like Seiya. I think I hate Aang more only because he was a main protagonist and actually got Katara in the end, but catch me on the right day, and I could muster just as much salt for Seiya as I do for Aang. Also, I maintain that had Seiya fully identified as a man, there would be less support for her- or them? Has it been established canonically how Seiya identifies? Regardless, I hate the way Seiya treated Usagi, and I was so glad when Mamoru came back.

I might need some help from romance writers and the manga UsaxMamo shippers out there

no real reason I just suck at writing romance and I just wanna write usagi and mamrou's relationshio a bit better than Crystal/The Manga

i wanna avoid using the 90s anime version of this arc as a ref cus it feels more like "we date cus destiny says so" when Mamoru was so nasty to Usagi up until the princess reveal episode and even then only Mamoru warmed up to Usagi AFTER that episode fr. Not to mention the god awful age gap in it.

Feels forced in the 90s, feels a bit rushed in the manga is my issue i think with the ship. I'll reread Kanzenban again though to have their budding chemistry fresh in my mind and I'll look at Shinsoban and Miss Dream's translation just to see interpretations as inspiration. Maybe might start PGSM cus of this writing refs stuff
