8 - The Position of Manda'lor
Tumblr media
[Text in image is as below]
i) Requirements needed to be a candidate for Manda’lor;
a) Must have a clear bill of Physical and Mental fitness. b) Must be a member of Mandalorian society. c) It is not required to have been born or raised a Mandalorian, only that you have sworn the Resol’nare. d) Must have a majority ruling in the Court of Houses and among the Major and Minor Houses and Clans – separate allocations can be made for Manda’lors that have a majority vote amongst the electoral but not amongst the Houses.
ii) Responsibilities;
a) Rule and governing over Mandalore and its cultural aspects in times of War and Peace b) Governance of the Mandalorian Military and Reserves in times of Peace. c) Control of Military Campaigns in times of War. d) Disaster Management in Emergencies, including the management of the Special Emergency Services, the Manda’yaim Reserve and Home Guard.
iii) Oversight;
a) The House Alors, Sector Governors, System Governors and Ministers of Subject can challenge the Manda’lor on individual and broad decisions when relevant to their field, and when the outcomes of decisions affect them – personally or otherwise. b) The Manda’lor can be made to take a decision to a vote if the Clan and House Alors petition to the High Command.
Tumblr media
[Text un image is as below]
iv) Commanding body;
a) High Command, the military governance of the Star Navy, the Mandalorian Mercenaries, the Hunting Guilds, the Armourer Guilds, the Emergency Services, the Home Guard, the Journeyman Protectors, the Reserve, and the Infantry. They rely on donations and stipends from the Houses, taxation, and the good will of the general populace. b) The House Alors (Major) have forty seats within a court called the Court of Houses, that can be petitioned to overturn legislation decided upon in lower levels of government. c) The House Alors (Minor) have over a few thousand seats, non-structured, and can be called upon for civil disputes that extend past the purview of one Clan Alor, or if a dispute is between more than one Clan.
Tumblr media
[Text in image is as below]
v) Restrictions, Compliance and Declarations of Misconduct
a) Areas that the Manda’lor cannot act as ultimate authority is upon the fields of medicine, the outcome of a financial or court decision (although the Manda’lor can convey displeasure if they believe the outcome is unfair as long as they justify said displeasure) b) A Manda’lor cannot interfere or demand a recount of an election. The only times a recount of an election can be expected is if a large portion – more than five percent of an individual electorate – goes missing.
[I was not inspired by American politics in the least! WHat, how could you suggest-
Anyways, feel free to provide any criticism. I have read two conflicting opinions on this site and on most forums, that the Manda'lor was an absolute ruler, or only a cultural, or campaign symbol, and I can see points for both sides. My point is that Jaster, as a reformer, would try to marry those ideals together to create something more than the sum of its parts. A better Mandalore, if you will.]

Do you have ideas for your cowboy au or is it just aesthetic?
I DO HAVE IDEAS -Cracks knuckles- but they are jumbled just as my thoughts usually are so I apologize. This is what I have so far:
1- the clones were rescued by Jango (at the behest of Boba tbh). I’m not sure precisely how the little details were, but basically this gunslinger saw his clones, how they were being raised and went “This is fucked” And stole them all. The clone war was more of a war of rights and they won. (with the help of, surprisingly, the Jedi and the Mandalorians) They work all over, a lot becoming farmers, some becoming bounty hunters (a group largely run by Boba and Jango), basically they are actual fuckin citizens and that’s how it SHOULD BE.
(1a- so the side result of this is that when the fight to take down the Jedi started, they really didn’t have as much structured support. The ultimate goal of freeing the clones worked, but the Jedi and Mandalorians were reduced significantly in number and now sort of stay low to keep from drawing too much attention.
1b- Vader never existed, And the twins are thriving as both political and Jedi persons. Leia was trained as a Jedi, Luke runs a little school now and both were raised by their parents. Anakin is a disaster. Uncle Obi wan runs a ranch where a lot of the clones chose to work and it makes a great vacation for the twins when Padme and Anakin need a break)
2- The Mandalorians are still a religion/creed with different sects of belief. They are still known as badasses in all forms, tho. The one common thing is the darksaber, and whoever wields it is largely seen as their leader and representative. During the clone wars, their planet (lands? I think its in space but this can all be argued seeing as I messed with it all anyway) was destroyed and stripped of its resources because the imperials saw them as a threat.
3- The Jedi are kind of the same... kinda. More of a code of living. (The force still exists because I said so). Just like the Mandos, their own home was also destroyed and taken over, forcing them into hiding and functioning largely as an underground group. Once the war was won, and all settled, they came out of hiding for the most part, but still made an effort to be strictly peacekeepers and resort to battle as a last resort, as it was supposed to be.
3a- I imagine they all started their own sorts of peace keeping groups too. Like for some examples, I like to think (and I know) Plo koon took care of orphaned children (Clone cadets, Padawans, basically any child that was affected thusly by the war) alongside several other Jedi. Mace probably became some sort of liaison or political leader to represent them as a people. (Maybe? Idk. He seems like he wants a break maybe he runs some sort of general store) For examples.
5- It’s got kind of the same political settings as The Mandalorian I would imagine. Most of the empire is gone but they still exist, and a lot of people deny the signs. Mando (HErE WE GO THE GOOD STUFF) is the provider for his clan, as it is in the show. the difference is he’s not the only named one. -looks at paz- and so it’s more of a joint effort.
6- So Mando gets the same sort of storyline there- definitely large differences tho because of how much I changed shit. He goes to get the bounty, bounty is kid. Well shit gotta adopt. Duh. Mandalorians treasure kids why tf would he turn him over? No. Congrats Din, It’s a bean boy. He worries about how he’s supposed to care for this kid that can MAKE SHIT FLOAT and TOSS PEOPLE AROUND WITH HIS BRAIN and also be making money for the clan, so he asks around and finds out about the Jedi that still run around helping people, and also there is a school teacher who happens to be a Jedi. Gotta find that guy
7- Well once more it becomes the side quest storyline of the century. We have Razor, who is our loveable and dumb steed, she loves food more than anything (guzzler, if you will) except for Din himself, who she would carry into the depths of Hell if he had asked. She also starts off by not liking Grogu, because he’s stealing her best buddy’s attention away from her. Thankfully, they figure it out over time. And it’s adorable and one day Din wakes up to see Grogu sleeping on Razor’s flank, and she has her head near him in a protective way.
8- He meets with Boba when he needs information (Slave is Jango’s baby but he will throw shoes for Boba as well) And they go on a mini adventure to find this sith-damned elusive school teacher who always seems to be on the move for some reason. They meet several clones, Jedi, Mandalorians, and Imps along the way and it’s nuts
9- Accidental Manda’lor Din? Accidental Manda’lor Din. Poor man has no idea what is about to go down but it’s gonna go down and it will be glorious
This got really long and I apologize but these are the basic(?) ideas I have

Why did Bo-Katan take the Darksaber from Sabine but not Din?
[spoilers from basically all shows excluding Bad Batch]
One of the biggest things I see people pointing out as what they claim to be a plot hole is Bo-Katan’s (abbreviating from here on out) refusal to take the Darksaber from Din. The reason is that in Mandalorian culture, the Darksaber can only be won in combat, and the victor subsequently gains the title Manda’lor, or ruler of Mandalore. So why does Bo take it from Sabine in Rebels?
My main point is that Sabine didn’t have a valid claim to the saber, either. Its last valid wielder was Maul, but eventually it found its way back to Dathomir, where Sabine didn’t win it in combat—she found it. Ultimately, the Darksaber had been missing for decades at that point, and the remaining Mandalorians were desperate for a leader who would return things back to what they were before the Empire.
Not only that, but Bo was very hesitant to take it at first for this reason. She took it first of all for Satine, whose loss was likely still fresh in her mind especially after losing Mandalore to the Empire, and who was slain upon that blade. But it was also because neither she nor Sabine were aware of the Darksaber’s owner at that time. She took it only because other Mandalorians believed she was its rightful owner.
The reason she wouldn’t take it from Din was because these circumstances were not nearly as murky. Moff Gideon presumably took it from her in combat, as she acknowledges his rightful claim despite her resentment. But then, Din beats him in combat fairly. This wasn’t the same as before, when there was no way of knowing who truly lay claim to the throne. This is why she became so enraged when she realized what had happened. She was honor-bound to refuse it.
(It’s also why Din trying to give it to her, completely unaware of the legend and the fact that he’d just become Manda’lor, is really funny)
“I accept this sword for my sister.”

Day #9: Bonding Time
Fennec didn’t seem to question Boba’s claim when he said he wasn’t Mandalorian to Din. I think Fennec had a crash course in Mando heritage and Fett heritage. Also, I had to look up on Legends for this.
--------------------
Fennec woke up to an enticing smell. She saw the ship had landed in a jungle planet and Crosshair was nowhere to be found. Fennec followed the smell because she saw there was a kitchen, and where there was a kitchen and a good smell, there had to be food.
Fennec was right on following her nose because she saw Crosshair and Korkie eating together at the small kitchen. She didn’t know what Korkie was eating, but she’s not wanting to share the food because it looked deadly. Crosshair’s food on the other hand was more presentable, and possibly edible by her standards. Which was to say, it’s not a ration bar.
“You didn’t wake me up,” Fennec said.
“I learned not to wake people up,” Crosshair told her. “You don’t know if they’re having their first sleep in days, or if they have visions.”
“Alright. Can I have some food?”
“What’s your heat tolerance?” Korkie asked.
“Mostly mild food,” Fennec answered. “I’m going to pass on your meal.”
“Good idea,” Crosshair snorted. “I can handle a ton of heat, but Korkie here loves to add nuclear amounts of heat in his meals.”
“I don’t have a spice sensation in my mouth, okay?”
Crosshair said nothing as Korkie gave Fennec some mild flavor porridge. She looked at it, sat down at the table and tasted a small amount of her food. It was nice, and it didn’t burn. It felt like she was eating an old family recipe and not something that was from the gutter.
“I don’t know what you like,” Korkie apologized. “But I knew from my nanny how to cook food from multiple parts of the Mandalore System. Surprisingly, there were recipes that said to not add spices. Though, considering that some of our planets are ice planets, it does make sense.”
“What’s the main heat level of Mandalore?” Fennec asked.
“Mostly Crosshair’s level. For non-Mandalorians, it burns for half n hour and leaves your fresher experience the worst of all time. Mandalorians, well, we take it like warriors.”
“Guessing since Crosshair is Mandalorian, he can take it.”
“Well, it’s his heritage even if he doesn’t claim to be Mandalorian.”
Fennec steadied her eyes at Korkie as she kept eating. She thought Mandalorians have to be born Mandalorians. Like if someone was born on Coruscant, they were born the child of Coruscant. And even if their family move to another planet, they were still Coruscanti from blood. How does one not be a Mandalorian if they have Mandalorian blood and heritage.
“You’re thinking hard,” Crosshair pointed out. “It’s true what he said, I’m not Mandalorian.”
“But you’re genetic template was Mandalorian.”
“He was,” Korkie agreed. “But let’s just say the whole thing about being a Mandalorian is quite complicated.”
“How?”
“They follow these Mandalorian ritual rules,” Crosshair said. “The Resol’nare? I think?”
“Yes, the Resol’nare,” Korkie nodded. “It’s an old Mandalorian tenet that still holds true to warrior type Mandalorians. The New Mandalorians, the faction which I was born in, drew away from the tradition when we wanted pacifism as our new way of life. We drove out the warrior Mandalorians from Mandalore and placed them in Concordia, our moon. While I am Mandalorian, I have never taken the majority of Resol’nare due to my pacifist upbringing. Crosshair here is technically a more traditional Mandalorian warrior.”
“But there is one little problem with that,” Crosshair insisted. “I was raised as a traditional warrior type Mandalorian while training as a clone troopers, but in the eyes of many Mandalorians, I’m a dar'manda. Someone who’s ignorant of there heritage. I’m not ignorant of my heritage, I just don’t follow it, nor am I a part of any faction or clan. Or house in Korkie’s case.”
“So? You have Mandalorian blood,” Fennec objected.
“Blood means little in Mando culture,” Korkie explained. “You can be adopted into a Mandalorian clan even if you’re not the same species. We have a saying---”
“Aliit ori'shya tal'din,” Crosshair said. “Family is more than blood. I learned that as part of my heritage. Fennec, I am one of Jango Fett’s clones, but I never took a code, nor a rite of passage that signifies me as a Mandalorian. Basically I’m just Kaminoan. Which I detest, but I can’t help it because I’m not Mandalorian.”
“But Korkie said you can be adopted to a clan,” Fennec pointed out. “Ask him to make you Mandalorian!”
The two looked at Korkie who started to touch his chin.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea,” Korkie stated while still touching his chin. “If Crosshair became a Kryze because of me, the Death Watch would ultimately hunt him down and kill us both. Also, he’s technically a Fett.”
“What does that mean?” Fennec and Crosshair asked.
“You see, the Fetts are an ancient clan based off in Concord Dawn. A Fett had actually serve one of our mightiest Manda’lors as second-in-command. Crosshair here could go to Concord Dawn and be part of Clan Fett because of his heritage, but I don’t know if there are any Fetts left that are clan members. The Fett linage Crosshair came from were killed by Death Watch years ago. It’s highly impossible for him to be part of a clan now.”
“Wait, why did Death Watch kill Jango Fett’s family?” Crosshair asked.
“Because they helped Jaster Mereel, an enemy of Death Watch’s leader Tor Vizsla. Jaster was one of our former Manda’lors, but Tor hated his rule. Jaster was part of the True Mandalorians, a faction that held up the traditional moral code for Mandalorian society. Tor wanted Jaster killed, Jaster was staying at the Fetts and they had a battle to end Jaster’s life. Jango survived, but his family was ruined. He was then raised as a foundling by Jaster after everything that happened and Jango ultimately ended Tor Vizsla’s life years later. And that was before he was a bounty hunter. So, technically, if I were to bring Crosshair into my clan, we would ultimately become the biggest target for the Death Watch just by historical feuds alone.”
Crosshair smiled from ear to ear. It was true that they were taught a bit of history about Jango by the Kamioans after his untimely death. But to hear it from someone who can see the past and tell him that his genetic template was a badass even before being a bounty hunter was nice.
“So,” Fennec said. “Crosshair here will never be part of Mandalorian society.”
“Maybe not,” Korkie shrugged. “But it’s okay. He’s Mandalorian in my eyes. And I was the former future ruler of Mandalore. Which meant he dodged a bullet, or he’d be my subject.”
Crosshair guffaw. “I will never be your subject. I’m a free man. Also, if you were the ruler of Mandalore, I would pray that no one becomes your spouse because being with you is more troubling than a bunch of terrorist trying to kill you alone.”
“You’re not wrong on the spouse thing. My mother was single and she did her rule alone without a spouse.”
Crosshair bit his spoon and looked at Korkie. “You Kryzes and your horrible love lives. Can you get married?”
“Yes, but I loath marriage. House Kryze’s marriages were always political. I will be different, I will marry for love and I don’t care who I may marry.”
“Does that include Crosshair?” Fennec asked.
Korkie stopped eating his food. He looked at Crosshair and then looked at Fennec with great concern. Crosshair on the other hand was shaking his head back and forth as if he knew a marriage between them was the worst thing that could happen.
“Did you not just hear me in the last minute?” he cried. “If I bring Crosshair to my clan, he’s target practice for my enemies. And yes, that actually includes marriage.”
“Also, we just met,” Crosshair said. “I’m not willing to get married to Korkie. He’s a bit too royal for me.”
“Yes--wait, what now?”
Korkie shot up from the table. “I’m someone many people wanted to marry back when I was in Mandalore.”
“Maybe, but you’re not my type.”
Fennec not regret making her statement about marriage as Korkie and Crosshair soon got to arguing about how bad marrying the other would be and how they might divorce in a day being married to the other. She laughed as Korkie started insulting Crosshair and slapped him.
“Well,” she thought. “I guess my target practicing will be late.”
SMACK!
“Will you stop slapping me?” Crosshair cried. “You slap like a princess!”
“And you are snore like a dying speeder!”
Fennec kept laughing as they got close to each other’s faces. She like to think they were already married by how they insult each other.

im so emo bc Bo has the potential to be the ruler that Satine could not be, but wanted to be. Someone to lead Mandalore away from the violence of the past, and hope for the future. Satine could not be that leader because in wanting to end violence she believed no one could fight at all, and though I will fight hard to always defend that view, that ultimately was not a world that Mandalore was ready for, and may very well never want.
Bo has all the wisdom her sister once held, but she does not have the seem naivete. And although she is not adverse to violence as her sister was, she seems to believe in a better Mandalore. A Mandalore that will be allowed to rebuild which is what Satine truly wanted. I imagine she is going to create a Mandalore that will not shy away from a fight, but will not actively seek one, which is what Mandalore truly needed. She really is going to be one of the best Manda’lor’s they have ever had.
Satine may not entirely agree with her, but I guarantee you, she is looking down from whatever netherworld she is in and smiling proudly at her sister.

Mandalorian Culture Master post part 3
Tumblr media
 Leaders and society
Mandalorian’s are not like the rest of the galaxy they do not have kings queens duchesses elected officials a government per se but Mandalorians have clans tribes sects but the sole leader of the clans is a manda’lor a duty that is earned not given through combat or when a fallen mandalor dies in battle honour through combat is important for them not dying in a bed or of old age but glory in a battle against men and alien or beast.
Dying by machine brings no honour and no remembrance to your name.
The mandalors throughout history are a long one many have earned their title some have not been remembered for their actions or cause of death the first mandalor recorded in history was a taung war chief after being removed from their home world of Coruscant in the core worlds the mandalors ranged from the Taung to humans to other species throughout the centuries.

What would be the ultimate happy endings for your OCs?
Gonna start with this can get really long depending on who I use and which verse. So, in my desperate attempts to keep everything short (it’s probably going to fail) I’m sticking to my Main Verse and about ten of my characters. Rest assured all of them want better lives for the Clones and deeply dislike the Empire. However, how their individual character arcs would have played out changes the prominence of certain things in her mind.
First off, Lumi wants the Jedi Order to still be a thing and for Order 66 to have never happened. Her and Mace would’ve parted on much better terms than the strife of their last few months followed by his death. She so desperately wants closure with him after everything that happened. In the end she’s still the little youngling he helped learn to control such an overwhelming gift. As much strife as the Clone Wars brought, she would not begrudge the Clones their chances to live and thrive. Because they came into the Galaxy as unique lives and deserve ever chance to live and experience life to its fullest. However, when the War was over (with a much better ending) she would still elect to leave. Her calling is somewhere else, with something better. She’d still end up with Fenn because there’s some things the Galaxy wants to happen. Same as she would still train Hera because that’s her little sister now. She’d probably live out her days in the Mandalore Sector with her friends and family, helping teach Force Sensitives (Solus absolutely refused to let the Jedi Order touch) and flying and maintain starfighters.
Solus wants a united Mandalore with a more peaceful transfer of power back to the people who are unashamed of their heritage. No part of her wants to be Manda’lor but she does want to serve next to them (and she knows exactly why she can’t be), as an adviser and sometimes spy. She wants to live on Krownest in her ancestral home, wear her armor, and help her people flourish and thrive again. She’d end up adopting any Clone (or anyone really) who wished become Mandalorian and needed a home. Krownest is difficult planet but her people are tougher. Solus also desperately wants to get married and raise warriors with her spouses. Once she really got to know Ahsoka she knew they were always meant to be. Them and their third form a merry little Triad where everyone feels safe and loved. Her leaving of the Order would’ve been mutually agreed upon thing, and while she does believe Mandalorians have no place among the current Jedi, she does keep contact with her Master Kit. It is also a no-brainer that she wants Lumi and Jazari by her side because they’re a set.
Following her best friends’ lead I believe Jazari would end leaving the Order as well. There’s a lot of reform that needs to happen there and she is not volunteering for the monumental task alone. There would be a lot of free travel between Mandalore (I see her thriving in Keldabe among the ancient and modern, bustling, shifting, thriving city) and her home city of Jedha. She finally opens her happy little sex shop, making her own wares for sell and offering information sessions and donating to charities. She works to limit the various slave rings plaguing the planets bet it funneling money into groups that help or taking more direct action, aided by her teammates, in directly stopping problems.
Two parts domestic fantasy and one part power fantasy Kamelia wants it all. She makes it to the rank of Master within the Order, at an impressive age, and then retires to return to either rural Corellia or a nice mid-rim planet. She opens a clinic but still has time to be wonderful homemaker. Definitely gets married to a man (imagine women’s magazine cover Hugh Jackman meets like a beloved firefighter/EMT who climbs trees to rescue Tooka and thinks she’s the absolutely hottest, most wholesome thing to ever walk) and has two children, spaced really far apart so she doesn’t have to worry about playing favorites, and gets to be the unholy product of Florence Nightingale and Martha Stewart. There’s not task too big or small for her and everyone has wonderful things to say about her. Finally, she gets to claim some kind of victory of Lumi, Solus, and Jazari who were nothing but wash outs in the end. They failed at being Jedi but she got to rise, then surpass, every dream she had.
Erkan stays within the Jedi Order and lives. That’s a very important thing. He also does the shocking thing of helping to reform the Order to the best of his abilities. Throughout the lead up to the war and the after effects he was able to see both the best and worst of the Temple. Despite, lacking the political savvy starting out (which he wants to pick up) he works to return them to their roots of helping people without the Senate holding their strings. He wants to open more Temples across the Galaxy and move them further out again. No longer would the Jedi spend the bulk of their time in the Temples when not on missions but they would be out and about and fully learning about the Galaxy. He wants their range to expand further than Republic allied worlds because the Force is for everyone. He doesn’t like the exclusivity that they have now, this kind of uppity feeling that the Force is only for those lucky enough to be born free. He also wants to see the rules for attachment reevaluated because relationships are the corner stone of civilizations. There’s not reason to forbid them in a sense because some people can’t separate love and compassion from possession. Those people would have that problem anyway and they might even be able to work through it if they felt comfortable in coming forward.  He becomes the regular Qui-Gon Jinn sauntering around the Galaxy and helping he considered he could’ve became moments before dying.
Jai and Harti share a joint dream because their dream is to be together. Their family is reunited, like the people, and they finally get to settle down. For decades they have fought and now it is time to grow old together in a happily married bliss. They’ve got their beloved Solus back, along with the little gaggle of rebels Harti picked up and Solus’ constant companions. Jai not only lived but so did Jango. He’s protecting Jango for Jaster and watching Boba grow next to Solus. Harti complains they’re all trying to eat him out of house and home when his living room plays host to a verifiable horde of hunters. But, he absolutely loves it. Everything feels like a community and a family again. People are happy, Ursa doesn’t look so tense and alone, and frankly watching Solus play with Tristan and Sabine gives him hopes for great-grandchildren. Jai adopts a literal horde of Clones too. They’re his boys because he trained them and Krownest gets a population spike.
Commander Mav, rarely mentioned but important, would live in his best ending. His brothers are free and he finally gets to choose what he does with his life. That being said, he would 100% still end on Krownest with Solus after some soul searching on his own. He still trains because he likes being able to protect people but that’s not his main focus anymore. The Republic wanted him to be a soldier but that’s not who he is. Now he has so much freedom. He studies various things and picks up a knack for writing novels and art appreciating and cooking. He gets to be Solus’ friend and equal in the eyes of everyone, beyond just her and their group. I could see him taking up helping raise a bunch of the small clones and strongly advocating giving them the serum to slow their aging so they get to have proper childhoods.
Bounty hunting, like the Original, ends up calling to Alpha ARC Tranyc when the war is over. He didn’t much like serving the Republic as a soldier but he does like using his training. Bounty Hunting seems like a nice compromise in still getting to use his skills but living on his own terms. He doesn’t settle into Mandalore but does the occasional breeze by to annoy the fuck out of Mav and try and rope Solus into shenanigans. He succeeds a lot. She makes a great get away/pick up pilot or extra gun. But, he does comm Mav a lot because he likes the overly polite bastard despite his assertion that he’s an asshole loner. They probably talk nearly every day. Even in his happiest world he doesn’t admit feels more for Mav and Solus than her really should. They weren’t supposed to get hot but here they are.
Iviin has the same dream of a united Mandalore as the rest of the Mandalorians. He doesn’t want to see Death Watch, Shadow Collective, or anyone else ruling. Jaster’s line needs to continue. He never had to become Manda’lor because they still had Jango. There was no need for him to take on that role in his life and it means he gets to serve under a Fett Manda’lor. He happily works from Concord Dawn, and Keldabe or Krownest on occasion, and has Solus as his partner. She’s the pilot of the duo and his sniper when need be. He’s also happy to have Solus’ little Force Sensitive crew running around with them. Call him crazy but he thinks Jazari and Lumi are fun.

Imdu Be circled her prey, her fists raised to her chest and extended out, ready to move and block any strike that came her way from Sabine. The girl was a crack shot with a blaster, no doubt about that, and she knew that the younger Mandalorian was no slouch with a lightsaber either. The story of her beating the man who had tried to claim the title of Manda’lore had spread quickly, even in Imdu’s usual circles. But this? The art of fighting with your body rather than a weapon was one that the older Mandalorian had forged in the fires of a Hutt’s fighting arena, fighting older and stronger opponents do the death, beating them into bloody pulps with her bare fists.
This was her art, the ring her canvass, ready to be painted with the blood of her enemies--or at least her sprawled body, in this case
Her torso turned, her rear hand reaching out and grabbing Sabine’s extended lead hand before pulling in and turning back, cutting out and down with her arm as her other hand went to the back of Sabine’s head and guided her body with it, ultimately tossing the colorful young woman in a flip through the air as she stepped back and away, her guard still up and waiting for the retaliation. It wasn’t a particularly strong throw, just enough to knock Sabine off guard and make her reconsider closing the distance between them lest she be caught in the same situation again.

Satine and Sabine sit around a campfire and talk about how attracted they are to women while eating space popcorn.
ALSO--Satine and Sabine meet on Yavin 4 during the Rebellion, where it’s not immediately apparently exactly who Satine was, having met Satine’s alias, Reyla. Reyla recognized, though, that she was Mandalorian, but hadn’t been home in decades. When Sabine figured out that Reyla was the previously disappeared Duchess Satine Kryze, there were some.........interesting disputes about what Mandalore meant to each of them and ultimately found a kindred spirit between the two. Anyways, fast forward, Sabine becomes Manda’lor, and Satine swore she didn’t want anything to do with ruling the whole system again, was able to return back underneath Sabine’s rule and became governor of Kalevala.
