My grade: 8,5/10

My favorite things about this movie:

the INCREDIBLE acting, especially by aelm bhumibhat who's slowly becoming one of the best & most powerful thai actors in my eyes. ud awat & pae arak also ate this up bruh.

the directing & cinematography are so so so good, they remind me of p'nuchie anucha & apichatpong weerasethakul and I mean that in the best way.

this story is so impactful & I know I will remember it for years to come. this movie didn't go AT ALL where I thought it would at first, and I'm grateful because the last 30 minutes made it become a favorite for me.

super niche but this whole cast is crazy & I simply adore who they got to sign on this movie, like... pae arak??? that's insane, like literally insane. ud awat showed his whole ass twice & frankly? slay. the cast is too fucking good but that's just a me point bc you probably don't know them lol.

Dr. Sammon Appreciation Post

I haven't watched Make a Wish because I can't find the entire series with subs and Bite Me doesn't belong in this grouping, but the way Dr. Sammon writes a mystery is my favorite type of chaos.

Manner of Death is one of my favorites, so I'm biased, but Sammon killed a best friend in the first episode, then lead us down dark paths of drug and human trafficking only to end with a proposal at gun point.

Then, she killed the gays every episode of Triage, yet both of them made it out alive and in love.

So while I've been waiting several years for Transplant (RIP), she decided to hit us not with BOC's 4 Minutes but instead with BOC's Dead Friend Forever, a show about teenagers being killed in the woods. I had no intention to watch this show, but once I saw Sammon was a writer, I decided to try it out, and it has not disappointed so far.

Which means I'm even more excited than I already was to see Spare Me Your Mercy because if this is what she is doing with the fresh kids on the block, imagine what she is going to do with JJ and Tor? Wreck me, that's what.

I think I might actually buy a translated Thai novel, y'all. Let me go see which of her books I'm going to buy. Perhaps Manner of Death 2 since I won't get Transplant as a series. If this is what a series based on her work can do, I wonder how good her work is to begin with. Probably 🔥🌶🔪 and I like that.

5.) LISTEN TO ME. I wasn’t expecting Hongseok to give Shion such a PASSIONATE KISS. It took me by surprise. Like… it was so INTENSE. The way they were GRIPPING each other. The emotions I was feeling… You Make Me Dance [2021].

4.) Pat and Pran’s first kiss on the roof. The conversation beforehand, the emotions, the WANT in their eyes… this is one of the greatest first kiss scenes I have seen and it’s definitely always going to be one of my favorites. Bad Buddy [2021].

3.) Vee and Mark’s last rooftop kiss. Listen. This was a full circle moment. The difference of emotions between their first kiss there and this one was just chef’s kiss. Also, the little montage they showed?! It just added so much more to it, I was CHEESING the entire time. Love, Mechanics [2022].

2.) Kinn kissing Porsche for the first time. The way my jaw DROPPED?! Mr. IKissNoOne initiating the most gentle, loving and sweet kiss with his bodyguard he “doesn’t care about”?! Gods this whole scene had me losing my fucking mind. The slight hesitation before he went for it, the breath he took once Porsche kissed him back?! Fuck. KinnPorsche The Series [2022].

1.) This one is gonna shock some people. It isssss. But as of right now my number 1 kiss of 2021 - 2022 isssssssss:

Pluem and Kevin’s first kiss after the three year separation. Now. The emotions. They way they were looking at each other. The slight hesitation. The acceptance. The way they GRIP each other as if saying “Finally!”. I’m a romantic at heart. And as of right now, this kiss takes the cake for me. Their emotions were RADIATING through my screen. I literally held my breath. Love them, love this scene. Ghost Host, Ghost House [2022].

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

Payu and Rain’s “germ spreader” kiss. Now. This one for me was one of the most realistic kisses I’ve seen in any show. I felt like I was interrupting someone’s private moment. The way they portray their desire for each other and just, can’t stop kissing. They know Rain is sick. They know Payu could get sick but after Payu’s confession, they’re too amped up on emotions to care. That’s real af. Love in the Air [2022].

Tan and Bunn’s first time. That kiss was… everything. It was intense and passionate and lustful. It had all of the pent up sexual attractions they felt towards each other and you see that by the way Tan just GRIPS Bunn’s hair. Clinging to him like he never wants to let him go. It was fire meets fire and their energy was just perfect. Manner of Death [2020]. (I know I said 2021-2022 but I’m rewatching this one and it needed to be included.)

Everyone is allowed to not like stuff. The issue comes from putting their dislike into the main tag of a couple which is intended to be a positive experience. Half of the fights that happen is because people go into the main tag looking for positivity and get hit with someone's negative/hypercritical opinion and feel angered by it because they can't get away from it. They can block the person after the fact but if the first person used another tag, no one would ever have to get upset at anyone else because they'd be looking for their specific cup of tea and not getting hit with someone's else's drama.

Half the fandom drama is so easily avoided but people feel entitled to share their opinions to everyone as if their take should be unilaterally seen by all. No. People want to see cute gifs and squee. They'll go looking for the tea if they want it.

Imma keep it a buck with you:

Nobody. And I mean, NOBODY is going to tell me what to do. I have been doing this for a few days and I ALWAYS tag the ship names and the series names that are the topic of the Anon.

I have had people trash a whole show to me, and I tagged it. I have YET to receive a SINGLE message or reply about it. Because SOME people can exercise self control long enough to just scroll past something they disagree with, or they make their own posts about it.
