Tin Can Bros tinlightenment streams are such a wild place because where else are you going to badger Gabe Greenspan into digging a hole and then pressure Joey Richter to do a sandwich trick in said hole? Where else are you going to hear James Tolbert explain what poppers are?

Where else are you going to debate how much money it would take to get Brian Rosenthal to do full frontal nudity? Where else could you watch Joey Richter cringe in on himself like an imploding star and then give such an unhinged definition of the term "uhauling" that it almost defies belief?

Literally every time it's a wild ride. Yesterday we got to hear Ali Gordon and Angela Parrish sing a very Dolly Parton-esque song called My Ass in Bio. It changed my life. Truly a zeitgeist moment.

Bryce Charles and Mariah Rose Faith Casillas come so prepared for debate streams that it genuinely feels like a fistfight (but like, the snappy one from West Side Story)

On one of the first streams we learned that Curt Mega (actor) believes that Curt Mega (agent) has 3 or 4 illegitimate children he doesn't know about. Like mmhhmm, yes, when I watch Spies my primary thought is definitely "oh yeah, this character has sex with women."

Where else are you going to hear Mary Kate Wiles speak THE iconic line from The Godfather- "you come to MY wedding?" Or say gaythem when the Sacred Text appears? Or ask Corey Lubowich if a straight man told him to do this?

PLUS we get to see Diane Lopez-Richter in iconic lil outfits. That's worth 200k on its own frankly

not so gentle reminder that mariah rose faith isn’t fat and saying that stephanie is a “plus size icon” is harmful to people with a bigger body than her, and especially people with the same body as her <3

ramble under the break

i’ve seen art of steph and grace together with steph having a bigger body than grace but the thing is… mariah and angela have the same body type…

if you look at any picture of them together you can see they have the same (or at least similar) body type. neither of them are far or plus size. in fact they’re both relatively average

now for a comparison between mariah and angela alone

they’re about the same, yet so much art shows grace being skinny while steph is fat

my partner’s brother (who is actually fat) was shown a picture of mariah and angela together, along with art of grace and steph, and he agrees that mariah isn’t fat at all

i’m about average size too, and i sometimes struggle with my weight. my boyfriend is the same body type as me, and struggles even worse. how do you think we feel seeing someone with the same body type as us be portrayed as “fat”?

tldr; mariah rose faith isn’t plus size and the fandom needs to stop making steph fat

The Baker: Corey Dorris

I've been on the Give Corey Dorris A Lead Role train for a while (even though I'm very new to Tumblr) so this was easy for me. Also, is "A father who's not the best person but is trying his goddamn best" describing The Baker or Bill from TGWDLM?

The Baker's Wife: Bryce Charles

I'm so hyped for her to be the star of Team Starkid's next show, and I need to hear her sing Moments in the Woods.

Cinderella: Lauren Lopez

I don't feel like I need to explain this one? The vibes are just correct.

Jack: James Tolbert

I've only seen him in Black Friday and like 2 seconds of NPMD but he has such a sincere earnestness to his performance, I think he would be a great Jack.

Jack's Mother: Rachel Soglin

She's my favourite exhausted mother in Trail to Oregon, this is the same part but meaner and without an idiot husband falsettoing in a wagon with a floor window.

Cinderella's Stepmother: Mary Kate Wiles

(She's in Working Boys so she counts as Team Starkid) She has a wonderfully dry delivery and while in Spies Are Forever, she uses it for a Jaded Hero character, I want to see her use it for a truly cruel character.

Florinda and Lucinda: Angela Giarratana and Jaime Burns

Both wonderful comedic actresses who would definitely make these relatively small parts very memorable.

Little Red Riding Hood: Mariah Rose Faith Casillas

Is this just an excuse for a (albeit not as direct) third "Corey is Mariah's Father" casting? Yeah, kinda. But also Mariah is amazing in pretty much any part.

The Witch: Jaime Lynn Beatty

This feels so obvious. Her physical acting, character work and amazing belt are MADE to play the Witch. I am always open to constructive criticism except for this one.

Cinderella's Mother: Brittany Coleman

According to the Team Starkid Wiki, she's played this part in the Baltimore Centre Stage production, so she not only would obviously slay this part, she HAS already slayed this part.

Wolf/Cinderella's Prince: Joey Richter

Hmm, who do I get to play two parts, one who's supposed to be creepy and one who's supposed to be irresistibly sexy? I dunno. Anyway, Joey Richter has such amazing range, he plays skeevy villains like Mcdoon (the bandit king) in Trail to Oregon and Wiley in Black Friday , but also is so hot and charming as Ethan in Nightmare time and as Owen in Spies are Forever. Don't know why I bring that up now.

Rapunzel: Kim Whalen

Soprano Queen, actual princess. Also, I want her and Curt to play an actual couple

Rapunzel's Prince: Curt Mega

Not to fall into the Internet Wife Guy Trap but Curt seems so in love with his wife and I think he would be so good as the prince who would do anything to be with her (God please don't pull a Ned Fulmer Curt I swear to God). Also, if you haven't seen him and Joey do Agony for Shitty Broadway, please go watch it, it's amazing.

ok so i'll be super honest and say i'm not nearly as well versed in the mean girls musical like i used to be so i haven't really seen/heard every single actress who's played the role but all that said, mad respect to the og taylor louderman! her voice is so iconic to the production but she was never really a favorite of mine. i saw reneé rapp do it on broadway in 2020 (literally the night before the covid shut down) and she was absolutely incredible. not only is her voice unreal (duh!) but, she has really awesome comedic timing. also, reneé's regina is meann and i love my regina's mean. i also saw mariah rose faith on the first national tour and she was great! i don't really remember too much of her performance but i don't recall hating it. (the janis, mary kate morrissey, was really the standout in that cast) my all time favorite regina is 100% ashley de la rosa, she was a gretchen/regina standby from 2018-2019 and she is phenomenal. i'm sure clips of her performance are floating around and i recommend checking them out if you haven't.
