the mods of the new mechanisms discord server (linked here) are named for ship roles as if we were an alternate crew so uh. got an excuse to draw my mechsona, Lillian. in an au where she exists alongside the actual mechanisms, her role would be astronomer!

shes based on my personal Reform Ashkenazi Jewish culture and is inspired by the legend of the Prague golem! shes from a steampunk 1920s type planet with Vaudevillian aesthetics (Vaudeville is very Jewish too btw!).

she was a sailor and rumrunner, and joined the crew after her smuggling boat was shot down by rivals.
