Jeez, I’ve been meaning to sit down and do a proper Darkeye illustration for a while now, and finally came up with a sketch I liked. There’s a couple mergers that need fixing, but the sketch is pretty much done. Front to back: Sacha (bush dog), Kutta (dhole), and Mhumhi (African wild dog). And a bonus Sacha painting from a while ago!

A few nights ago I had a dream I was driving on a highway, but my car was “regressing” into something simpler the farther I drove. As I tried to maintain control and keep it driving straight, it morphed into a motorcycle, and then into a bike. Finally I was walking on the side walks of the strip malls. My friends MC and CP showed up and we went into a little shop that sold fandom paraphernalia. There were metal bracelets with the cutouts of Homestuck characters on them and their ancestors. Around the corner of the store was a wall selling tons of pokemon art prints. I’m certain there were also video game figurines and other fandom knickknacks around, but I can’t remember them now.

Yesterday night I had a dream I was in this tower. I don’t know if it was like a business tower or like a hotel. I was with my coworker, and I knew we had to climb to the top to escape. Bad guys of no description were after us. On different floors some would be on the balconies shooting at us, but we dodged the bullets. Near the top I ran into Mhumhi from Koryos’ novel, “Dark Eye”. He spoke to me and I miraculously understood, but what he said I can’t remember. We were nearing the top now, and in the back of my mind I was worried that we wouldn’t be able to get out, (because building layouts follow no rules in dreams) but I think Mhumhi’s secret was the key, because I magically knew exactly which turns and doors to take, and my coworker and I made it to the top of the building and escaped by taking flight off the roof.

Last night I had a small nightmare. My friend Philip had gone missing. His fiance, Jenni, and I started driving around looking for him, but we couldn’t find a trace of him. We feared he had been kidnapped and murdered. Philip’s father decided to call off the search when we couldn’t find him. We met up in a parking lot to admit defeat, and declare Philip dead, but then in that parking lot, Philip drove up! We all cried out of relief and Philip apologized for making us worry, then he drove Jenni and I back to his house were we had a cuddle puddle to reassure each other that everything would be alright.

I finished Darkeye recently and I adored it even though it KILLED ALL THE CHARACTERS I LOVED, NOT THAT I CRIED OR ANYTHING! I think my favorite character was Vimbo though, but I’m a little biased I’ll admit. Anyway, here’s Mhumhi, Vimbo, and Mini... kinda, well her skull anyway.
