oookay here’s a w.i.t.c.h. art dump
i'm gonna preface this with the fact that i only read til the ludmoore shenanigans mostly bc i stopped reading at that point as a teen so i have no idea what happens after that here goes some vordvomit i promised on w.i.t.c.h. which includes stuff i would've loved to see and stuff that annoyed me etc
first off i gotta start with how flat the villains are and i do understand that it's your basic disney formula of the villain is evil don't ask further questions not talking about cedric yet but i'll get to him later
i just can't help but imagine the potential of a relatable and emotional story with elyon and phobos if phobos wasn't inexplicably evil since he was born i guess phobos basically loses his entire family (are we ever told what the hell happened to their parents??) and is set to rule meridian on his own so i would've loved a take on his story where meridian goes to shit bc he doesn't know how to properly run a kingdom i know this would make the story very frozen-esque i guess but phobos could still be an interesting character if his reason to be spiteful against elyon was bc elyon got to live a normal childhood with loving parents while he was left completely on his own to rule a kingdom that was never meant to be his if anything take the doodles as a good phobos au or something I JUST WANT PHOBOS TO HAVE MORE DEPTH THAN NONE AT ALL okay now that i got that out of my system i'll move onto cedric
i'll start out by saying i deeply dislike the compulsory heterosexuality that's rampant in these comics that i remember hating as a kid but that might just be bc i could never relate to it being a gay kid myself so that might just be me orube's and cedric's relationship is....cute and i think it’s the only time cedric's character gets any chance to shine?? but it gets trampled pretty quick by cedric being killed off obviously i'm on camp phobos/cedric but oof did i get upset at orube and cedric getting like zero chance to have any kind of relationship at all bc i found it infinitely more interesting than all the random boyfriends the main gang is with
i also wanna talk about nerissa and the potential to have another sympathetic villain who could've been if not redeemed more relatable than just....not at all?? i'm fine with her destroying cassidy in a fit of jealousy but i would've also loved if she acted like a human about it by feeling remorse and her and cassidy having some sort of deeper relationship (mayhaps...a romantic one......) bc nerissa sticks out like a sore thumb among the guardians anyway....like weren't they ever friends?? hello??? why didn't kandrakar do nothing about the situation either?? again i understand the story doesn't really serve well to sympathetic bad guys bc the guardians need someone to kill off every arc but.... the potential......
as a sidenote i do love himerish' backstory but i wish it would've come from a better story where conflict in kandrakar would've been a legit issue rather than oh it's phobos! again!
NEXT UP my giant grudge to what they did with maqi's character who was clearly coded to be an autistic kid that somehow gets his autism exorcised out of him by magic instead of his dad figuring out how to properly take care of an autistic child just. what. hello???
OOF also i may have gotten stuff wrong or skipped over things bc this comic and the lore is a clusterfuck but those are some of my thoughts and i'll shut up for a minute bc i have some aus i wanna draw out still

the first drawing you made that you're still proud of (ever since you were a child?) what influences were there and what inspirations propel you to make certain drawings? also, do you think the next art style you will try to attempt (if that is indeed one of your goals) would it be similar to your current one or something wholly different? colour pencils or charcoal pencils? (sorry this got too specific gjjfdjk)
Don't be sorry i love this question for real. I've been drawing since i was literally like a year old and a couple of pieces i can recall are an oil painting i did of a Norwegian snowy forest but my uncle bought that from me and I don't have pictures :( it ended up having quite an impressionist look (which my teacher adored)—and this life drawing i did for class like a year ago (warning there's boobs)
Tumblr media
I don't really have easy acces right now (its 2 am) to anything i did before 2015 especially not for school but ive been skimming thru my hs scketchbooks and a lot of it holds up surprisingly so (hey maybe ill do a tour someday and embarrass myself)
excuse the quality, its bAD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
these are bts watercolor portraits. i should probably do more of those tbh
and these are either harry potter sketches or ocs so
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Theres also a particular piece worth noting that i cant access right now but it's essentially a watercolor drawing of a balloon i did at like 4 ans my parents love it.
As for influences, i can't really talk about specific pieces cause my memory is shit and i take a lot of inspirations foe just one drawing, but some art that has been central to my art has been Fiona Staples' (you might recognize her from SAGA or the newest Archie Comics), Bill Sienkievicz (who i have the HONOR to say drew half of my face at Madrid's comic con in 2017), Claire Wendling's, Chris Hong's, Ashley Wood's, John William Waterhouse's, Alphonse Mucha's, Al Buell's and more recently Glen Keane's (who recently directed Over the Moon) and John Pomeroi's and generally 90s/2000s (and a bit of 60's too) disney concept art. Honestly i could spend days talking about my artistic influences. But weirdly enough i think one of my biggest influences was Alessandro Barbucci's W.I.T.C.H which i spent so much time reading and drawing as a kid, and what all of these have pushed me to do is telling stories (i wish i had my comics from way back when theyre... an experience) through design and stroytelling (i really should do comics again) and expression i think ans i aspire to do so much more.
I don't particularly intend on trying or pursuing new styles at least for now, i'm pretty happy with the direction my art is taking when it comes to that, stylized yet not too cartoonish.
I actually haven't picked up colored pencils or charcoals in so long, and both of them i normallypic up for quick sketching. I think charcoal is nicer to use overall, it's quick and soft and overall effective although it's true that i don't think i'd use it in my sketchbook.
Sorry this is so long but i really appreciated this question and kind of needed to dive in i guess 💜

When you are still talking about a show you are too old for..
warning: it’s loooong (TL;DR section at the bottom)
Just to be clear I have no intention to look into and review any more Winx Club related content and it’s not just because the current environment is not conducive to this kind of endeavor. After I finished paying off my debts I considered getting back to this but eventually decided against it because some of my thoughts regarding this show have changed a little and I overall no longer see the point. One of the things I wanted to accomplish when I first started was to figure out why this show never appealed to me when it first came out on the FoxBox and well, the answer was very simple if not ridiculously obvious. This show was not made for me.
I was a few months short of 13 when the show premiered in the US and had just enough experience in the genre to have expectations, and this was the problem. When western magical girl series started to show up in the early 2000s, I expected shows that improved upon the standards and cliches left by the likes of Sailor Moon and its genre contemporaries, not just in terms of visuals but writing as well. Winx Club however, seemed more in line with the type of cartoons that (since the 80s) popped up every now and then as promotional material for emerging lines of fashion dolls generally targeting younger girls, with the only difference being that it had a progressive story-line. Even if you argue that Winx Club was not so merchandise-driven in its first seasons, contemporary fashion and aesthetics had always been the selling point. By then, shows that prioritized visual appeal over writing and seemed to exists primarily as toy commercials, were starting to lose my interest. I was also getting tired of certain staples like romantic relationships being bland but senselessly overemphasized and characters (specially protagonists) being archetypes with little to no complexity.
As an adult, I since looked back at shows of similar quality/target audience and I have surprisingly been able to find joy within them leading me to another conclusion. It’s not that I am too old and weary to appreciate animated media aimed at young girls. It’s more likely that Winx Club is a sore spot for me because it is the show that made me realize (if subconsciously) that networks in charge of delivering animated media to mainstream television were no longer invested in appealing to me. As a non-white, lower-middle class girl who was never all that into relationship-melodrama I felt that most cartoons of my day didn’t really catered to my interest and I think I saw the rise of Winx Club as a bitter indication that even the animated genres that I liked or tolerated would eventually become completely inaccessible to me.
I had some trouble finding out what the target audience bracket was for the first season. From what I eventually gathered it is either 4-8 or 5-10, although apparently concept-wise the show was intended for a slightly older age group. I give more credence to the first bracket because honestly I think this show works best as baby’s first magical girl series. The less experience you have in the genre, the less fed-up with tropes and the less expectations you have going in, the better.
Lets just make a thing clear. There is no such thing as being too old to watch cartoons. An art medium is not inherently tied to an age group. Unfortunately, everything is at the mercy of capitalism, specially art produced for entertainment. There is a lot of stupidity and outdated ideas governing how mainstream shows are made and to whom they are made for. Industries don’t like to take chances and they are reluctant to change in accordance to society unless an increased in profits can be assured to some degree…
Look, look! I swear I was just going to post a simple paragraph-long note to whoever cared, stating I was not going to continue reviewing Winx Club even though I am no longer in debt. But, I made the HUGE mistake of looking at the Wikipedia page, specifically the part where they quoted show creator Iginio Straffi defending the controversial choices made for season 8, and here I am, annoyed and rambling. To paraphrase, he claims kids around 10 years and older just don’t watch cartoons as much as they used to (sure, Jan) and they just had to retooled their show for a younger demographic and that just means it cannot be as complex as it used to be. Yes, complex is a word he ascribed to the earlier Winx Club content (level of complexity to be clear). I rolled my eyes, I died a little inside and overall I also decided, among other things, to never read another Iginio Straffi interview ever again.
In an effort to wash away this BS and exorcise some demons let me throw here some of my still lingering unwarranted Winx Club thoughts in no particular sequence before this platform collapses any further:
Winx Club is one of if not the longest running western magical girl group series and its success is likely attributed to the fact that back when it premiered in the US, it was the only accessible and visually appealing series to come out of the genre since the beginning of the millennium. It practically had a monopoly of its intended audience. In my neck of the woods, it was available without the need of a cable/satellite subscription. In contrast, Dinsey-owned W.I.T.C.H. didn’t have that same accessibility and I don’t think I even need to bring up anime in general. The one other magical girl show from around the same time that I remembered coming across in syndicated broadcast was Trollz, and well you look that up and tell me how much staying power that looked like it had.
If the show has struggled in recent years is of course NOT because older kids don’t watch cartoons nowadays. Rather I think the show runners are not quite grasping how the circumstances surrounding their target audience have changed since the early 2000s. There are a lot more options out there in terms of entertainment even if you narrow things down to only western magical girl cartoons, not to mention that Winx club no longer has an edge on accessibility. I also think we consume media faster and that along with all the new options of entertainment means we have less head space to dedicate to one single show. Putting a new coat of paint to the newer seasons is simply not enough to remain relevant.
Adding to the above, It’s been well over ten years since the show first premiered. I don’t have data to prove this, but I am willing to bet that a sizable chunk of viewers were there from the beginning or joined at the start of the Nickelodeon era. It makes little sense for changes in writing to include hacking its continuity, rewriting established lore and deleting whatever meager character development they ever had. Maybe it’s not a good idea to turn your show with progressive storytelling including aging characters, into a cash cow you intend to milk for as long as you can and beyond. Maybe they should have given the early seasons a proper conclusion and laid the groundwork for new groups of characters to lead fresh series within the same universe...or you know, a full reboot.
I am not saying that the show should suddenly conform to my tastes (though that would be nice) after all it was not made for me. I just think that people that stuck with it deserve more than what they have been getting. I saw some positive feedback with regards to World of Winx but from what little I saw I don’t think it was good enough to be the series for older fans. Tone might be slightly different but writing-wise it feels more or less the same as the current series. The attempts at humor are still not landing for me at least. Also, how old does Straffi thinks the older fans are? 10? Who knows, maybe season 8 did its job in drawing-in the next gen, and maybe the planned live action series will be all that the older fans have been asking for. I do wish them the best.
Regarding things that I changed my mind about (though only a little bit)...In more than one occasion I referred to Bloom as a mary sue and this has been digging at me. Either the term has become toxic and too often unfairly assigned to any female character in a leading position, or it was always an improper way to discuss mediocre writing. There are main characters that are created in part to serve as vehicles of indulgence for its intended audience. I don’t think these these type of characters need to be complex to be successful or serviceable but I do think relatability and/or likability are indicators of whether or not a specific indulgent protagonist is effective. I didn’t find Bloom to be effective but she seems to be popular enough with the younger range of fans and that’s what matters. All I am saying is that Bloom could have easily been better and all it would have taken was for the writers to slightly lower the pedestal they put her on. Otherwise, they should have just stuck with the Magical Bloom title so no one would have delusions that the show would ever focus on anyone else.
I stand by most of my other major criticisms of the series. Though I admit that when I was looking at each episode I would spend an unreasonable amount of time on small things or personal pet peeves.I maintain however that to whom a show is intended for should not be a determinant of quality and there are things worth discussing even if one is not within the age-range of said audience. However, it’s not hard to tell what Winx Club is mostly about; it’s romance-centered. If you are not all that invested on that sort of stuff or you don’t like what the show is offering, then there is little point in sticking around because you are just going to get more and more caught-up on the flaws. The fantasy world elements while ambitious in scope are not well developed and consistency is an issue since the beginning that only gets worse as the series goes on. Unless you can subsist solely on the aesthetics and merch-friendly elements, I wouldn’t bother beyond the first movie.
If Winx Club had been the definitive blue print shaping the future of western magical girls shows, I would probably feel justified in making this much of a fuss. However, pretty much any other show I have seen after the fact has been a deviation and an improvement. I believe that’s because more content creators that grew up with the genre (and understood the many ways it could be improved) are finding opportunities to bring their appreciation for it into the mainstream. It’s pointless for me to still complain about the older stuff. Heck, I can even find good things to say about Angel’s Friends and this is definitely a cartoon that was shaped by the success of the fairy school show.
Winx Club is fine, it has as much right to exist as any other piece of mindless entertainment aimed at any demographic.  And that’s that.
TL;DR
I am not reviewing Winx Club stuff anymore. I just had a lot of thoughts that were brought up by an annoying Iginio Straffi quote I saw on the Wiki page while I was working on that last post. Extended rambling is what I apparently do when I am mildly upset. I barfed all this out in the hopes that I won’t think about this show again anytime soon.
If morbid curiosity gets the better of me, I might give future Winx Club content a watch. I just won’t post about it because it seems I am incapable of finding joy in it.
No, I don’t take criticisms of the bad spelling/grammar of my ramblings. Let this mess be. This is also not a place for debate, the only discourse I welcome here is whether or not relatability is a word. Online dictionaries say it’s fine but my word processor says it is not a thing. Discuss! (JK)
Stay safe,

W.I.T.C.H. Reboot! W.I.T.C.H. Reboot! W.I.T.C.H. Reboot!
hi love! so, with the plethora of reboots kicking around mainstream media these days, its no surprise that the question of a w.i.t.c.h reboot has been broached by its fans. i have so, so, so many thoughts and this, but ill divide them into three categories for the purpose of brevity: firstly, general thoughts on what i would like to see if a w.i.t.c.h reboot is on the cards; secondly, what i would like to see in a live-action w.i.t.c.h reboot; and finally, what a decent animated reboot of w.i.t.c.h might entail. this is not an exhaustive list so please feel free to add onto this if youve any more thoughts! without further ado because jesus, we might be here a while….
general thoughts:
a w.i.t.c.h live action reboot should largely use the comics are source material. while the cartoons are beloved by many including myself, i reckon the good parts of each should be combined to be thematically consistent, fix plot holes etc. but the comics should be the bible here
the target demographic of younger women and girls would need to be established early on by the producers (personally i would love to see a slightly more mature, w.i.t.c.h college AU where the target demographic could be teens/young adult women and girls, but more on that later). this isnt to say that young men and boys would be absolutely excluded as an audience, but misogyny is alive and well in 2019, and our voices as women need to be uplifted. this is exemplified by the fact that caleb was given far, far, far too much screentime in the cartoon so that the show could reach a young, male audience, and his characters was mangled by chauvinistic tendencies. thank u, next.
i have my own preferences wrt to ships, but i think we can all agree that introducing male characters as mere plot devices for drama/conflict only to put them ‘on a bus’ when theyre no longer useful is just plain bad writing. this is a critique levelled both at the cartoon and comics, but largely the comics (see: Eric)(rip in peace).
i also believe that sticking to the conventions of a particular genre, or hybrid genre, would be preferable if a w.i.t.c.h reboot were to take place. some shows get it right, but I’ve seen a ton of shows go off the rails when they try to be a fantasy/comedy/crime/drama/horror/sci-fi/occult/soap-opera extravaganza all in one. i reckon a YA fantasy drama with comedic moments, something with a similar vibe to Shadowhunters or The Shannara Chronicles, could work really well. if we’re talking animated reboot, something with a similar tonal atmosphere to The Dragon Prince or Into the Spiderverse, would also be great
this shouldnt even need to be said but please, for the love of god, no musical episodes (heres looking at you, Riverdale).
i think i speak on everyones behalf when i say that, irrespective of the age demographic of the show, LGBT rep in w.i.t.c.h would be amazing. irma/cornelia have always been a practically canon fan favourite, but cassidy and nerissa’s relationship is definitely more than strictly platonic, so that could be developed upon too. trans/nonbinary!will is also a popular headcanon that could work. once there are lgbt heroes, and not just lgbt villains, i think we’ll all be happy.
similarly, seeing some neurodivergency in the characters could also be great: elyon dealing with pts after the fallout with phobos; irma struggling with adhd in school or college; hay lin and taranee also exhibit some traits of anxiety in canon. autistic!will would also work, and someone else in the squad is bound to be affected by depression given its pervasive nature these days.
much and all as i adore the guardian outfits, i think there would need to be a few changes made. the midriff-and-leg-baring get-ups, though very cute, become very jarring when you realise the characters are meant to range in age from 12 to 14. i dont have any specific thoughts on how improvements could be made, but lengthening hemlines could be a start. if anyone has any more thoughts, i’d love to hear them!
of course, there needs to be women in the writers room, lgbt people in the writers room, poc in the writers room, people with neurodivergencies in the writers room, etc. we all know what happens when writers rooms lack diversity, and it sure as hell aint pretty.
body diversity was something that was tentatively approached in the comics (irma is curvier than the others, at least in her mundane form), but eschewed almost entirely in the cartoon, with all the girls maintaining similar heights and waifish proportions. it would be worthwhile, not to mention realistic, for the girls to go through some body-image hang ups. maybe will is insecure about her ‘underdeveloped’ body, or maybe taranee longs to have the same curvaceous figures as other dancers her age. i think if they were to go for a message of body positivity, irma, loud and brash with no fucks to give, should love every inch of her fat body and encourage the girls to adopt her 'devil-may-care’ attitude. the patriarchy be damned.
one flaw with the comics AND the cartoons are that they dont really explore the worldbuilding a lot. we do spend some time on meridian in the comics and the cartoon, but largely from the perspective of either elyon, or caleb and the rebels. i wonder what a day on meridian would look like for the average meridianite peasant? what do meridianites do for fun? what language(s) do they speak? what are their religious/spiritual belief(s)? what are the styles of dress dictated by? meridian is based on medieval societies, and a caste system is suggested, but i would have loved to see the social hierarchies expanded on a little more. does the matriarchal nature of meridian rule value women and their labour? what about LGBT people on meridian? people with disabilities and neurodivergencies? is there any discrimination against the different species on meridian? in fact, i dont know if it was ever explicitly outlined to us the different species of peoples on meridian, in the cartoon or the comics. honestly id be happy to see a filler, AtLA Tales of Ba Sing Se-esque episode on meridian to cover all of these bases
one thing i loved from the comics that didnt translate as well in the cartoon were the girls’ passions and interests. will is obsessed with frogs, she rides her bike to her job at pet store, she swims, stresses over math homework. irma loves music and talking to her pet turtle, leafy; i could totally see her doing a stint at the college radio station or working part time at a record store. cornelia loves ice skating and has received tons of awards and accolades for her achievements on the ice. taranee is an avid photographer and dancer, but i could totally see her spending her spare time at rallies and protests too. hay lin is a proficient artist, making her own clothes and poring over paintings between shifts at the silver dragon. all of these things and more are what make these characters so well-rounded, relatable, likeable. their hobbies need to be weaved into the fabric of the show (not just brought up once for a silly plot device in cornelia’s case, or never brought up at all in taranee’s, as seen in the cartoon) in order for it to work
live action reboot thoughts:
this should go out without saying, but a live action w.i.t.c.h reboot should cast actors of colour to play characters of colour. hay lin, and by extension her family, need to be played by Chinese actors, while taranee needs to be played by a black actor, preferably one of east asian descent, etc. if they add a little more diversity to the cast i would be totally pleased. latina!irma is a popular headcanon that i ascribe to, and will has always been kinda ambiguously brown, so adding less ambiguous representation for poc to the cast would really be excellent
of course, age-appropriate casting is a must. more specifically, there should not be any 25-30 year olds playing characters in their mid-late teens, unless ofc they could actually pass for the age they are trying to play. shows like The OA and The End of the Fucking World really get this right (most other teen/YA dramas, not so much. less of the chiseled abs and rock hard pecs on teens, please)
this one might be tricky to get right, particularly with budget constraints, but i think a really good CGI/visual effects team is necessary for a w.i.t.c.h reboot to work. unless an adequate amount of the budget is spent on making sure the magic looks realistic, almost plausible, it will make everything else look cheap by comparison
also, this is more of a personal preference, but i’d love to see someone with a really beautiful visual aesthetic and scope of cinematography. i’m talking Sense8-esque levels of cinematographic beauty
i’m really rambling now but, similarly, it’d be so cool to see someone who could use lighting/colour theory in very particular ways. in Marvel’s Netflix Originals, each character has their own theme colour; in Jessica Jones, for example, all of the scenes are very blue and almost leeched of warmth, while in Luke Cage there seems to be a warm yellow filter over everything. how cool would it be if all Taranee-centric scenes had a slight gold hue? or if all of cornelia’s scenes were lit with green? maybe all of the colours could combine in the a subtle yet effective way when all of the guardians are together to show their unity and combined strength.
thoughts on an animated reboot:
i know very little about animation so these thoughts will be brief, but an art and animation style something like that of Into the Spiderverse would be really gorgeous. it is fluid, dynamic, beautiful to look at and, most importantly, reflects the comic format in a moving image perfectly. alternatively, the animation studio behind The Legend of Korra could also be wonderful. the visual effects used for magic would look absolutely incredible
one thing i have to praise the Jetix cartoon for is their choice of voice actors, which were, in many cases, spot on. while cornelia’s VA was annoying and shrill, the actors playing characters of colour were themselves people of colour. if an animated reboot was on the cards, i think it could be a great opportunity to once again include some diversity to the cast, namely hiring actors of colour to play characters of colour
please let no one who worked on voltron near a w.i.t.c.h animated reboot with a ten foot pole. no i will not elaborate
tl;dr at the risk of sounding like an entitled millennial, a w.i.t.c.h reboot should be less about creating something entirely new for a brand new audience, and more about building on what the longtime fans of w.i.t.c.h already love and bringing it forward for the older generation. all on all, we grew up with w.i.t.c.h, so it’s time for us to have our reboot. thanks for coming to my TED talk!

Meet Jatta, our next lovely artist!
What are the links to your social media so people can find you! Dinagastuff.tumblr.com Instagram & Twitter @ladydinaga
What first inspired you to draw? I think it was W.I.T.C.H. comic which I loved a lot when I was a child. Akira Toriyama and Arina Tanemura have been one of those biggest inspiration to me start drawing comics myself.
What programs do you use to to draw? My favorite for drawing is Paint tool sai and I edit my art with Clipstudio Paint and Photoshop elements 9
What kind of tablet do you use? I had one old  Bamboo Wacom tablet several years but on these days I have Wacom Cintiq 13 Hd (which I call "Cindy" I love this screen tablet very much.)
What is your favorite thing to draw? I love drawing feelings. So, maybe face is one of the favorite thing to me to draw...
How long have you been drawing for? Hmmm. I was 12 when I said to myself I want to be a comic artist and I started to practice drawing comics and human anatomy back then.....  so, 15 years. (Oh gosh I feel old)
Are there any particular artists that have inspired you over the years? I said few comic artist before and I would love to continue the list: Lettie_bug on instagram. I have followed her 5 years and I just love her Stasis comic. Her artworks are really pretty.
Did you go to school for art or are you self taught? Would you recommend a formal education? I went to one of the Finland's oldest art school named " The Liminka School of Art" I was two years there and those were really good years. We had really much fun there and I got manu friends there. Plus in small country like finland I got a chance meet amazing comic artists.
Do you do Commissions? Are they open? do you have a link to your commission page? I have take some commissions and I would love to take more but right now I am super busy with our webcomic named "Heartblood"
Maybe in close future? We will see.
Do you have a website? (Patreon? Etsy? Webtoons? Youtube? Artstation? BigCartel? Tictail? etc?) Yes, we have patreon for our webcomic, which I am doing with my friend.
And link to our comic
Do you sell merch or prints anywhere? Maybe in the future, I am not yet sure what kind stuff people want to buy from me.
Do you have a webcomic? whats the link to your webcomic? how did you get started? Any tips for future webcomic artists? https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/heartblood/list?title_no=201409
If you want make a comic, just do it!   You get better by doing. If you are not sure about what you want to draw ask a friend or someone to write some story for you. (Like I and my friend Inna are doing with Heartblood)
Do you have recommendations for networking? Yes! It's really important! Talk to people!
I want to get better for speaking to people. (Sadly I am pretty shy.....)
Is there anything we missed that you might want to share with your followers? I love Detroit Become Human game and I am super excited to be part of this zine project!
Do you have any final inspirational words or tips for your followers? I hope you don't stop drawing if you  enjoy it!!❤

Hello to Friday: A Bookend to a Long Week in Fukushima
Morning Jams: Keeper of the Heart, Flow, W.I.T.C.H. Is In the House, and United from Music From and Inspired by W.I.T.C.H.
Let’s start with a cheerful TGIF, at least for us that are on this side of the world. Dawn has broke, and today feels like the calming end to a long week of bits of pain. I had a blood vessel burst in my eye earlier this week, and a bit of exhaustion from the weekend, but I am ever grateful, especially since so many friends listened to my desires this year and got me loads of art supplies. It feels so wonderful t be heard: I felt so beloved.
(Definitely hooked on my new project which is a SHS for Yokai and Monsters. So far, we’ve got a chubby Oni, a Werewolf, and a Ghost Girl. Might pen some more today!)
Also my TEFL is really taking effect.
I’m about 45/100% complete, and while I feel like a lot of that quickness comes from having a year of lived experience under my belt, but I think it’s also from being in the right place to learn. That’s helped me so much, and I’m certain, will help me maintain my forward momentum and growth over these next few years.
Kids are having a change to my upgrade too. It’s the simple things: kneeling instead of bending at the waist to help them, using more English and letting them take the lead on problem-solving, being more receptive to media and culture that they like, learning about it and understanding the 5W’s and 1H, and using that in lessons alongside connecting it to the book.
Amazingly simple in practice, but something I needed to learn how to do. My TEFL is prepping me to do that and more and it feels great
I’m still certain that I’ll be here all five years: I’ll never have this particular set of conditions and chances again in my life and I’m going to seize each chance. After.. well, that’s after and for now -and not until my 4th year’s 3rd term- I’m focusing on living this day and this experience. I’ll maybe ponder tomorrow because it’s Errands DAy, but otherwise... I’m trying to live for my moments.
For now though? Let’s get ready for the day because someone has to air their tires before that train.
Have a great day everyone!
