Four || [John Price x f!reader]
Note: This is short but hopefully you'll like it 😊
Tumblr media
Price knew you were coming. He only saw someone's silhouette out of the corner of his eye, but that was enough to recognize you. After all those years it was way too easy for him. "You made it," he said with a smile when he finally turned around to look at you.
Laswell quickly offered to switch to another chair so you could take her place next to him, and once you sat down, you looked around and said, "Hello, everyone."
"I missed you," Price said quietly before leaning closer to kiss you. You soon heard someone clear their throat in the background and when he looked over there, he saw Soap watching them with raised eyebrows. "Yes, right. Let me introduce you to Y/N, my wife."
"Don't take this the wrong way, but what are you doing here?" Soap asked, flashing a polite smile at you.
This time it was Laswell who answered. "It's a business trip. She works for MI6."
"I was in Langley," you continued kindly, not bothered by someone else answering the first part of the question for you. You had known Laswell for years, it wasn't a problem for you. "We discussed Shepherd's case."
"So you're working with the CIA on this one?" Ghost spoke up.
You shrugged. "We're still discussing the details."
It was Kyle's turn to ask a question. "Do they know where he is?" he asked.
"Nah, we're all in the dark." With that you opened your bag and started looking for something inside. "By the way, I brought you a present," you began as you turned to Price for a second.
When you finally found what you were looking for, you pulled out a cigar and handed it to him. "Oh, I love you," Price said, his eyes fixed on it while the corners of his lips curled into a smile. "I lost a good cigar during this mission."
"You're lucky I'm here then."
"How's Lucas?" he asked once he put the cigar on the bar next to his glass and reached out to take your hand.
You laughed with your head thrown back at this. "You know how spoiled that little rascal is whenever he's with my parents."
Price wanted to say something in their son and your parents' defense but was interrupted by Soap once again. He didn't really mind, part of this trip to the bar was to unwind after the mission. Him bringing his wife along surely came with personal questions.
"Sir, can I ask you a question?" Soap asked cautiously.
"Sure."
"How long have you been married?"
"Why?"
The sergeant hesitated and took his time to figure out how to answer without enraging him. "Asking for a bet," he admitted, choosing to be honest in the end.
"Three years," you replied right away, seemingly amused by the bravery to ask such personal questions.
Price shook his head. "Four, actually," he corrected you.
But you only rolled your eyes at him. "That's two months away," you informed him.
"Still closer to four," Price said with a laugh.
"Damn it." Both of you turned to Soap with a questioning look. "Kyle won," he explained, then turned to Garrick. "Wait, did you know?"
"Maybe," he replied with a bright smile.
"That's cheating!"
Laughing, Garrick put up his hands. "You never asked if I knew."
Nudging his side, you looked over at Price. "Are they always like this?" you asked quietly while the others kept arguing in the background.
"Not always," came the reply, and you didn't miss the warmth in his voice.

If I had a dollar for each time I watched Neil Ellice die in media yesterday, I would have two dollars; which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

listen. og soap's death hit me so hard lmao right. it's been like 10 years and i'm still not over it. it was the first time i've cried over a character's death in a video game and he was also my favorite. it was so unexpected to me personally
and i was hoping that this new soap would survive in this new universe. it was unrealistic, yeah, but i still!
and what do you think i get spoiled by Neil's instagram post lmaooo. i absolutely do not hold it against him i'm just upset it's the end of soap again. call me dramatic but i'm honestly just sad

I’m genuinely actually physically depressed because of how shitty the codmw3 campaign was to the point where I’ve had to pull out Ye Olde antidepressants to make sure my mental health stays level 💀

Pillow Talk || [Phillip Graves x f!reader]
Note: You guys asked when I brought this up, so here you go! I hope you like it. What do you think? Contains a spoiler.
Tumblr media
There were times when the two of you sneaked off to a hotel to be alone just for a couple of hours. Graves knew he had responsibilities as the leader of Shadow Company, but being with you was a priority as well. You took his mind off of the usual matters, he could temporarily be an average guy having some fun with his girlfriend.
The pair of you were good in bed, the spark, the chemistry was there from the beginning. Every day felt like you were in your honeymoon phase, dying to touch the other whenever you were close to each other. When you were together far from the rest of the team, he could barely keep his hands to himself.
And every time he looked at you in the safety of a soft bed behind closed doors, he was grateful to be lucky enough to have something like this. Now as he watched you sleeping next to him, your chest rising and falling as you breathed, he couldn't help but reach out to run his fingers down your cheek. To him, you were perfect in every way, and no previous lovers could be compared to you. Yes, he was smitten with you, you became a weakness of his, but he didn't mind.
"Are you watching me sleep, you creep?" you asked jokingly without opening your eyes.
He laughed then leaned over to kiss you, taking his time this time around. It wasn't a hungry, needy kiss like the one around the time you had entered the room not long ago, but a soft, gentle kiss that showed his appreciation for you being there by his side no matter what.
"I love you," Graves whispered before he kissed the tip of your nose then moved on to kiss you again. When he was done--or rather decided to step back and give you some time to recover before suggesting one last round--he propped on his elbow and watched you again. "Why don't we go somewhere after this mission? Let's go far away from everything, just the two of us."
You let out a long, humming sound as you considered his suggestion. You had never gone anywhere together before, only met in hotel rooms for a day or two and that was it. This is why the idea of escaping your everyday life for a short while, traveling somewhere as a normal couple sounded like a big step.
Graves wanted--no, he needed this to function properly. He was tired of stolen hours during or right after missions. He wanted something real this time, something only you could give him.
"Are you sure about this?" you asked, breaking the silence. He nodded without hesitation as he reached out and intertwined his fingers with yours. "That would be nice," you replied with a sweet smile.
"Where would you like to go? Let's pick somewhere nice."
You turned on your back and looked at the ceiling as you thought about it. "I can't remember the last time I was on a vacation. I'm not even sure I could come up with a nice place."
"I know where we should go," Graves told you while he moved to be on top of you, finally getting back the chance to look you in the eye. "Do you want me to tell you, or should it be a surprise?" he asked with a boyish smile.
Instead of answering, you raised your head a bit to kiss him, even putting a hand on the back of his neck to pull him closer. He didn't object, only went with the flow and let himself get lost in you again, revisiting every inch of your body as if he could ever forget what you looked like.
•••••••
"All right, everyone, good job as usual," Graves told the team with a satisfied smirk on his lips a few days after the last time you had had the chance to be alone. Then he waited until no one was paying attention to him and once the situation was ideal, he walked over to you, discreetly took your hand, and began to pull you towards a separate room at your current base. "We need to talk in private," he said on the way there.
When the door closed behind you, you flashed a seductive smile at him, expecting something he wasn't in the mood to give you. Shaking his head, he pushed your body against the door and put one hand on your cheek and rested the other on the door next to your head. He licked his bottom lip then gulped while he thought about how to tell you about his latest conversation with General Shepherd.
In the end he simply kissed you, resting his forehead against yours when he was done. "It's just you and me. You know that, right?" he said in an unusually serious tone.
"What's going on?" you asked worriedly, looking into his bright blue eyes. "I've never seen you act like this."
"Whatever happens, I need you to remember that it's you and me against everyone else. Promise me you'll keep this in mind."
You nodded as you put your hands on his sides. "I promise, but I don't understand any of this," you said quietly.
Long seconds passed without Graves saying anything. Then he pushed himself away from the wall and walked a few steps away from you with his hand buried in his blond hair. "Shepherd gave me an order," he began when he finally looked back at you. "If I follow through, innocent people, civilians will probably die. I don't want you to hate me for what's about to come. I want you to know that I love you and this is all that matters."
Tilting your head to the side, you asked, "What does he want from you?"
"We'll take control of this operation from now on. The 141 and Los Vaqueros won't be needed anymore," he explained.
"You have to get rid of them?" He hesitated at first, but eventually nodded. There was a strange glint in your eyes, one he hadn't seen before. Hurt? Betrayal? Whatever it was, it made him uneasy. "Fuck," you whispered them leaned your head against the door to look up at the ceiling.
"It's just a job."
"But--"
"It's okay."
"It's not okay!" you snapped, raising your voice this time. "Since when are you okay with killing civilians and turning on our own? Is Shepherd blackmailing you with something?" He took a deep breath then exhaled slowly. Apparently, this was more than enough to give away the truth. "He does," you noted with a disappointed look.
"Yes, but don't worry about it."
He tried to stay calm, but he was nervous and it exponentially got worse as the seconds passed. You hated him for letting himself be blackmailed, but there was nothing he could do about it. Shepherd had connections. Even though he had been the one giving out questionable orders in the past, he could still say that Graves went against orders and acted on his own when they committed war crimes.
By agreeing to do as Shepherd said, he was doing all he could to protect you. Because there was something else he wasn't about to tell you–Shepherd knew about your relationship. Graves didn't know how, but he knew and he was willing to use it against him.
"Listen, I know it looks bad, okay? But I'm doing as Shepherd says to protect ourselves," he explained. "Once it's done, everything goes back to normal. We will go on that trip and forget about all of this. I promise."
Your eyes softened when you heard this. It was a good sign, he could work with a hint of doubt. Because right now this is exactly what he saw on your face. Doubt. But were you doubting what he said or the possibility of getting rid of Shepherd? Either way, he had to make sure you understood that things would soon be okay. He would make sure it would be okay eventually.
