@aur0ras required a christmas / nye starter from graham dunne.
Tumblr media
gd. graham dunne was known for singing Christmas songs at his neighbors' doors. it started when he was little. with his brother, billy, they liked to bring a touch of rock and soul when they went caroling during the end of year celebrations at school. even though, he knew it would annoy his mother, his father was a subject he wanted to forget about for the moment, he knew that seeing people with a smile made him happy. that's why he doesn't stop doing it when the end of year holidays approach. with his nephews and nieces now, he could pass on the tradition by adding a touch of cheerfulness to the lives of the people who were on tour with them. with his guitar and hands holding his niece, he couldn't help but whisper in her ear and smile when he heard the new song they had created in half an hour. " you know my niece is good at this now ? do you think billy will go to me and, " he made a sign who means killing him as he looked at his sister-in-law. " kill me if he finds out that i'm passing the Christmas tradition on to his daughter ? are you going to protect me, chrissy ? "

warren and june.
a little image.
Tumblr media
summary : june, billy's and graham's little sister is a part of the band in her own way. she told us in exclusivity how she found the inspiration for all the most successful songs!
Tumblr media
Billy's little sister, Graham's little sister, The Dunne Sister. In the background, discreet, calm, sweet as honey. The secret ingredient that not many people know of regarding Daisy Jones and the Six.
Interviewer : You’ve been secretly writing most of the band songs over time without people knowing about it. Why?
June : (chuckles) well not everybody wants the spotlight.
Interviewer : The most beautiful lyrics, the more remembered, the critics' favorites are songs with a common factor: love. Where does everything start for you?
I agreed to come to the house in LA, of course. Graham was so pushy about it, I think he was afraid that I would get bored without them and that ill wouldn’t write for them anymore. Billy, oh Billy was just happy to be my big brother and protect me. I was the first fan you know, and I will be the last. I remember there wasn’t enough room in the house, but Graham and Camila urge me to accept the nicest room. « To keep her mind fresh,» said Graham before dropping my suitcase on the bed. « I’m coquette too you know » I heard Warren say to Graham after he closed the door.
Warren: I slept in the bathtub for a while.
June: Karen arrived a few days after, finding Graham, Warren, and Eddie fighting in the living room. I was on the couch supervising the points, it was my first encounter with her. She asked « is it always like this » with a raised eyebrow. « Most of the time » I answered. Then I show her her room.
Warren: I wore her hoops back then, I looked fabulous in them.
June: I said to Warren I needed the hoop back. But he did look fabulous in it. To return to the question, my inspiration, well all the nights at the Filthy Mc Nasty, in the back writing while smoking and listening to the band play, alone except for the barman sometimes with more crowd. All the hangover brunch near the beach. The movie nights on a dusty screen. The fighting was because nobody -especially not women- wanted to clean those boys' mess. The adventurous meal cooked with cheap cans. Yeah, that was the inspiration. « June, how is your mind so powerful? » Graham asked me one day reading some of my last work. « can’t recall some of the highest heights / but I’ve memorized you, yeah we need to use this in the future» he added. Lyrics that were used for Midnight, I’m very proud of this song. I remembered I tried to hide blushing, cause every writing was always easy when I was thinking of Warren.
I had found the perfect spot in the Filthy McNasty so I could have an eye on him behind all those men on stage. I knew how he liked his eggs and his beer. His taste in movies. The curve on every one of his hair. I watched him a lot, a writer needed a muse you know? But also what a muse if he didn’t know he was one. Cause I never wanted to meddle with the band whatsoever and wished to keep my feelings very private, except when I wrote the songs of course. Every flirting interaction Warren may had have with me was pure imagination, it must be. Also, Warren was always a flirty guy.
Warren: It was no imagination. We were all clueless, awkward, and well, a little bit high back then. Every time I thought about it, I had to go out and smoke some. The small idea that everything could go to shit because of a tiny crush was frightening. But how could something could go wrong with June, sweet June who makes my eggs, perfect eggs every morning she can. Who went to search for the best curls cream for my hair. Imagine how someone could be this important that no matter the numbers of tits fans show you, you only want one?
June: He said that? How romantic. Where was I?
I remembered one night. We were on the beach, Graham and Billy playing guitars. Eddie Karen, Warren, and I are in the waves. Eddie wanted to fight, he’s such a fighter sometimes. He picked up Karen on his shoulder, Warren did the same with me. I was on top of his shoulder alarmed to move after the sudden physical touch. I was no prude and it was the 70s there was no secret but yeah. Karen took my hesitation for a win and pushed the both of us in the waves, Warren's hands still holding onto me. He asked if I was alright. Yeah. He had brushed my hair away from my face, a big smile on his. I remembered, ok. I need to have this smile in my life forever.
Billy: Are you asking me If I knew my little sister had a crush on Warren? Well, Ringo Starr was always her favorite so take a guess. Graham: I knew of course. Karen: Graham is gonna say he knew but he was clueless. They were pretty damn secret at first. But Warren was taking too many drugs to keep his mouth shut you know? Daisy: June still sends me Christmas cards. She was what glued this band I can tell you that. Eddie: I still can’t believe Warren scored this well.
June: I was scared of Billy’s reaction. Nothing happened at this point but I kept thinking about it. We were at a diner, the band suffered from the lack of notoriety while working their ass off. I wanted to comfort him. At least the band had a shiny new name.
Eddie: About damn time!
Warren: That night, I was ready to join that couch as always. Breaking my back. When June ask me to meet her in her room after everybody was asleep. So I did. At 2 am, I knocked and enter. She was wearing Billy’s old Black Sabbath tee shirt, writing on her stomach. Man oh, man.
June: I was very nervous, but It was time I also lived a little bit. Also whatever occurred it would have been good materials for the band you know (chuckles). He entered and he was wearing his flannel pant. I nearly jumped out of bed and I ran to his side, practically smashing him against the door and I kissed him. I (blushing) I never was nearly as adventurous as Karen, or Camila. It was a bold move for me you have to know that.
Karen: I heard a bang, yeah. Thought it was the ghost of my room. Or a bird.
Warren: Man oh man, I can’t tell you more about that night.
June: You have your answer, but you knew about it don't you?
Warren: You just wanted the sweet story to cover the bad ones don't you?
Interview : (smiles) sunshine after the rain, and by the way congrats on your 10th anniversary.
June: thank you.

Eddie: Y/N Augustine was not who I expected to show up that Christmas Eve, with two trays of the best smelling lasagna I’ve ever smelled in my life, and an apologetic smile.
Why did she look apologetic? I don’t know, maybe it had something to do with the fact that as soon as she walked in, Warren was behind her? They were, like, 3 hours late.
Karen: Y/N is always on time. Whatever it is, doesn’t matter. For someone as fashionable as her, she manages to always arrive on time in the most gorgeous outfits I’ve ever seen.
She was still gorgeous that night, of course, but she was late, and she had a sort of...sleazy smile. Of course everyone assumed the same thing.
But 3 hours late? *she rolled her eyes* I mean, fuckin’. hell.
Camilla: When I first talked to the Y/N Augustine, I remember almost dropping you *she laughs* I was a major fan of her work, and still am. I really wasn’t expecting her on the phone when she called a few months before.
I asked who she was, being so forward on the phone about asking for my vest size when I didn’t order anything. I explained who I was, and introduced myself as Billy Dunne’s wife, and that I didn’t order a vest from this woman.
She was silent on the phone for a while, and came back introducing herself saying her name casually as if she wasn’t an important person. She said that she had no idea who Billy was, and that she was only familiar with a Warren Rojas, who she owed an order.
I found myself wondering how Warren managed to get a fashion designer to owe him a piece of her work...*she shrugs*
After freaking out to myself while I got his vest size, I didn’t bother passing the phone to him. And why would I? I wasn’t going to pass the chance to talk to one of my idols. And she didn’t seem to mind either.
I believe we went from talking about California, to the beaches, the majestic golden hour that shined through our windowsills at the same time, to you, even. She heard you crying through the phone.
And when I finally met her in person that night on Christmas, she was as lovely and funny. She gave every one of us presents, including you, and bothered to make us homemade food. I was so happy for Warren, but there were so many gaps as to how they even met.
•─────⋅(cut back)⋅─────•
“How did it go. Really,” Camilla insisted with a pleading tone. “How did you two meet?”
“Oh boy,” Karen mused, drinking her beer.
Y/N gave her friend beside her a pointed glare. “We met at a yacht party.”
Eddie leaned forward. “S-So is your name really Flora? Were you born ‘Flora?…”
“Flora...?” Camilla commented, lost, looking back and forth between Eddie and Y/N.
•─────⋅(cut to documentary)⋅─────•
Graham: She was so sweet about it, when me and Eddie went back and forth trying to connect the dots, which made it even more embarrassing.
I guess it didn’t really make sense to me at the time. Why and how someone proper and prim like her managed to wind up with Warren, the wild one of the group.
If I really considered the times he came late for practice, or left early, or that whenever he left to “work” at the boats, I think I could’ve gotten to the conclusion that he was smitten for this woman a lot earlier.
•─────⋅(cut back)⋅─────•
“That’s pretty smart right there,” Eddie chuckled at Y/N’s recall of fooling Warren. “I am very impressed.”
Y/N shrugs humbly, obviously as a joke. Warren knew she would forever tell this tale for however long she lived. Meanwhile, he’s just glad to be part of it and getting her at the end of it.
It seems that in their almost month-long relationship, the two have managed a healthy and surprisingly well schedule to meet up. With Y/N’s new projects and the band’s practices, they meet three times a week. Sometimes four, or more, depending on Warren’s libido that Y/N’s compared to a rabbit’s.
Though, it’s not like she can’t complain.
Apart from that though, Warren never misses the chance to get her something. Mostly jewelry boxes, jewelry, and take-out food, and when she needed to run an errand, he’d come to her apartment with her much needed rolls of cloths that he paid for, despite sending him off with her money.
•─────⋅(cut to documentary)⋅─────•
Y/N: When Warren and I first started dating, he was always the one coming to my place, never me visiting him over at Laurel Canyon. It was a little suspicious at first, so when I told him what I thought, y’know what he said?
He said, with the biggest grin on, “I wanna make a show out of it” and went to sleep after saying that. I never knew what he meant until that Christmas.
•─────⋅(cut back)⋅─────•
That night, he did indeed showcase his lover to his friends. Every question asked by Camilla or Billy or Eddie about her career he knew the answers to.
Where were you raised? Here in California up until she was 10, lived in France until she was 22 and moved back here to start Serenity. Sexiest French accent ever, even better when she’s muttering phrases under her breath stressfully.
Siblings? Two brothers, one older who hosts a foster home with his wife, one younger who just started a professional boxing career following their father’s footsteps. Three stepsisters who are all younger than her from her step-mom’s side, all of who are just now convinced their sister is famous for dating a rockstar drummer.
Favorite part about putting together designs? She finds satisfaction in piecing them together, and how she gets lost in sketching to the point that she doesn’t realize how long she’s been working.
Favorite song ever?  She’ll say something everyone else says: Dreams by Fleetwood Mac. It is a good song, but it’s not a favorite song ever, because in reality it’s something old, specifically, Stand By Me by Ben E. King. She doesn’t like admitting this to other people for fear of being called a sappy romantic.
She is, in fact, a sappy romantic, and Warren doesn’t miss the chance to taunt her about it. The bedside table full of romance books that he's tried to read, but for the love of everything good he cannot sit still and read.
What he doesn't mind doing, however, is sit still to watch another invest in her books with focused, determined brows, and the occasional squealing after reaching a certain point in the book.
He's got her memorized so well, even Y/N's surprised that the things and habits she's kept to herself, he notices like she leaves it out in the open under the sun.
At the thought, she rests her head on his shoulder with a proud grin. And Warren responds with a peck at the top of her head.
While listening to an ecstatic Eddie share a story, something against Y/N’s lower back began to grow.
She holds in every fiber in her body to refrain them from giggling.
“Shame on you.” She sarcastically spat in his ear.
He frowns down at her. “Huh?”
Y/N widens her eyes and makes a pointed glare down to his erection.
There was a short reaction of shock. “Shame me? Shame on you.” Warren took note of this. It’s happened way too many times now, and he’s lost awareness of what turns him on. “Thanks to you, I don’t have control over my body functions anymore.”
“I didn’t do anything!” She whisper shouted.
“You’re just way too hot and good,” he groaned. “I can't wait to get home."
Y/N sighed into his shoulder helplessly. Home. Their condo, together.
“I love the way you smell,” he whispered, as he always does whenever near her. But no matter how many times he’s sniffed her or said that, he still doesn’t know exactly what she smells like. He figured it was sweet, of course, but it didn’t shoot up his nose too strongly. It wasn’t fruity either, or so he figured she's just her own scent. Natural.
"Thanks." She smiled up at him. "It’s the French brand. It lasts longer on me.”
"No, I think it's just you."
She looks up at him through furrowed eyebrows. "Nobody can just smell nice naturally."
He shrugs. "Well, I dunno what smell it is." He twirls her hair. “It can’t be on a title of a perfume brand.”
She shook his chin playfully. “Pay attention to the conversation, playboy.”
He can’t. How could he?
It’s only been a month, but a month of what Warren already knew was pure and genuine. Y/N could do no wrong to him, and vice versa. They were good for each other.
The soft, buttery gliding up and down on his arm is what Warren can determine with his eyes closed; the softness of Y/N's fingers. The arm wresting on her chest as she leans on his front—it was only natural for Y/N to caress.
And as a response, another peck to her head.
•─────⋅(cut to the documentary)⋅─────•
Daisy: I’ve never been a fashion fanatic, but Y/N’s work spoke to me. She was a true artist, y’know? She knew what she was doing, and she is really fucking good at it. She didn’t just throw it a bunch of cloth and called it a day, the woman directed her creativity to the art every single time. And I recognized that.
Imagine my surprise when I see her at a house party I was also invited to.
•─────⋅(cut back)⋅─────•
Daisy arrives at the Dunnes’ place, already making a fool of herself by absentmindedly dropping the bottle of wine that she technically stole, but still.
Not to mention, she had an audience, their faces were clouded by the smoke she just blew out, and not to mention, it was dark.
“I wouldn’t worry too much about it.” In her voice, Daisy can tell she spoke with a smile. “They have too much fun, they’ll need the fruit. Nutritional values.”
She emerged from the shadows with, indeed, a smile that warms the heart. But a recognizable face that she’s seen on televised interviews and small pictures of beside the designs she eyes enviously on the magazines.
“Holy shit...holy shit!” Her hands went up to the sides of her head. “Holy fucking shit! Hi! Oh my goodness...”
“Daisy Jones you’ve been in radios in everywhere I’ve been today,” she chuckled humbly. “I can ensure you I’m a bigger fan.”
“I’ve seen you in magazines for a lot longer. “ She shook her head in disbelief. “I love you so much.”
But before Y/N escorts her to the rest of the band, she pulls her into a hug.
•─────⋅(cut to the documentary)⋅─────•
Daisy: I’m not much of a hugger. I think, especially considering my relationship with my mother, I couldn’t handle physical touch. Most times I would just be forced into hugging people and I stand there, just like a stiff tree. But something about Y/N, even though I’d never met her before, made me feel so glad that I’m a person she would hug.
I felt really appreciated by this stranger.
While we spent most of the night talking us a group, eventually everyone else started to branch out and talk to others. Warren was clung to her like a lost puppy. God, *shaking her head* never thought a guy like Warren can be sappy.
They just started dating and I could already see the connection between them. They mutually understood each other on such a level that everyone else around them can just do theirselves a favor and leave them alone.
•─────⋅(cut back)⋅─────•
“My family might visit for the summer,” Y/N smiles against her hand. “I can’t wait. Lils and Hana and Ines are gonna try and talk to you. They’re English is so broken, it’s adorable.”
Warren smiles at her, even as he’s drunkly chugging at his drink. “You ever think about kids? I dunno, someday?” He panicked.
“Yeah. I think about kids.” Y/N vaguely answered to tease him.
He nods slowly. “Ye-Yeah. Me too.”
Y/N smiles innocently, scratching his headful of curls. “Want my kids?”
Warren gave her the deepest kiss as an answer.

Tumblr media
"No, it's okay Warren, you go to bed." Warren scooped you up in his arms, placing you down in the spot next to Graham who had already opened up his blanket for you, then pressed a kiss to your cheek. "I'll leave the door open for you."
You'd spent the last 20 minutes convincing Warren to go to bed while you stayed up in hushed tones, not wanting to alert any of the others to your agreement, but not wanting him feel alone. It was never fun trying to sleep in the new environment that was the LA house, but you and Warren were doing your best to make it through a bad situation, whatever the means. Besides, it was nice to have someone to cuddle up with on the colder nights, even if it was someone else in the house you'd rather be cuddled up with.
You let your head fall to Graham's shoulder as Warren placed you down, who pulled his arm out from between the two of you and wrapped it over the back of the sofa. He allowed you to tangle your legs up in his pyjama covered ones, making sure you were comfortable before he turned his attention back to the tv screen. Maybe he'd one day be brave enough to press a quick, but loving, kiss to your cheeks the way Warren just had.
"You and Warren are sleeping together?" Karen had been the one brave enough to ask, the conversation between the two of you not unnoticed by the rest of the group - it being the only thing to break the silence in the past 40 minutes.
All heads turned to you, attention suddenly on something that had the potential to be more interesting then the rerun of Scooby-doo that had just started. "Not like that." You answered softly, eyes still focused on the cartoon dog and his gang on friends, not noticing how everyone else was now looking at you. "We both just like the company of it. I don't think either of us realised how lonely it would be coming out to LA."
Relief swept through Graham's body, him letting out a breathe he didn't realise he'd been holding in as he waited to hear your answer. Sure, you were much more casual with affection then anyone else he knew was, but with Warren it always seemed like more - he was glad to know it wasn't.
"Cute." Camilla mused, a warm smile curling on her lips as she took in that even in your sleep you were reaching out for the touch and warmth of someone else.
"You're always welcome in my bed, sweet-pea." Karen added, a smile curling on her own lips as she managed to take your attention away from the tv. "I swear you run cold. Would be nice in the LA heat."
"You can't steal my blanket buddy." Graham gasped, pulling you tighter against him and furiously tucking the blanket around the two of you. Your head fell from his shoulder and now pressed against his chest at the movement, the beat of his heart a soft call to sleep beneath you. "She's the perfect amount of cold. The windows open, with the blanket, with y/n is the perfect temperature for me."
A smile curled on your face at the possessiveness behind Graham's words, liking how he sounded when he was referring to you as his and perfect. It was something you could easily get used to hearing more often.
"I'm going to have to pass on that one Karen, unless you want to come down to my room." You countered her offer with a soft smile, attention moving back to the tv once more. "Warren says your room is haunted."
Laughter spread through out the room as you sided with Warren even in his absence; he was so sweet to you, and that's what friends do, so how could you not?
"What?" You asked, laughing yourself. "We left it empty until your arrival for a reason." That caused another round of laughter to break out in the room, everyone enjoying the way the two of you were slowly but surely morphing into one person with the more time you spent confined in the LA rental.
A particularly loud shout of "scoob!" from the TV had everyone's attention turned back to the cartoon, letting the nature of your relationship with Warren lie for at least the time being.
By the end of the third episode, only you, Graham and Eddie remained in the room. Graham and you were fast asleep, his head leaning atop yours, the two of you wrapped in what looked like a tight hug, although the blanket hid your entangled legs, and Eddie was sat in the armchair against the wall, legs curled into the seat and a bottle of warm beer in his hands that he'd been nursing for the last half an hour.
As the intro to the next rerun of Scooby-doo blasted from the TV, Graham startled awake, literally jumping out of his seat and pulling the blanket with him. He grumbled some attempt at what you thought was a goodnight, and went to stumble sleepily out of the room, the warmth of him and the blanket leaving you alone on the couch.
Reaching out for him at the last second, you slipped your fingers through his, intertwining your hands. Shuffling through the room to meet him, you murmured a command of 'sleep' dropping your head against his chest once more.
Graham pulled his arm up to rest over your shoulders, his hand in your hair and scratching at your scalp, lulling you back to sleep exactly where you stood.
"One second." You pleaded, removing yourself from his hold and making your way over to Eddie who opened his arms out to you as you waddled into his side. "Goodnight Ed's." You murmured dreamily, pressing a sweet kiss to his jaw as your couldn't quite reach his cheek now he was stood up.
"Goodnight birdie." He replied, guiding you back into Graham's arms as he left the room, making his own way to bed. Graham wrapped his arms around your shoulder, keeping you as tucked under the blanket as he could give the situation, and began to lead the two of you back to his room.
"This okay?" Graham asked as he guided you into his bed, pulling the duvet back and getting you settled before he tried to do so for himself. "Want to stay nice 'n warm 'n cuddled up with you."
"Yeah, 'course." You hummed, waiting for Graham to get into the bed with you before you wiggled yourself into his arms, intertwining your legs with him just as you had done on the couch moments ago. You tucked your head under his chin, burrowing yourself into the warmth Graham provided in a much easier way then you had done on the couch.
"Goodnight sunshine." Graham whispered, noticing that you'd already dropped asleep with one of his hands tangled in your hair and the other running up and down the length of your back. He pressed a chaste kiss to the crown of your head, smiling into your skin as he closed him eyes. "Goodnight."
The two of you slept right through the night, tossing and turning though still holding onto each-other, each movement accompanied by the other immediately moving as well to continue the comfortable sleep. Like usual, you were the first awake, you an early riser and Graham waking up as soon as you tried to move out of his hold. Though you'd tried to convince him to go back to sleep, shushing him and running your hands through his hair, he insisted on getting up with you.
And that's how you'd ended up here, your legs tangled with his once more, the little blue blanket covering your lap and two rather large bowls of cereal in hand. The tv had been left on, and now an episode of The Walton's was playing, the early morning tv not being watched but just adding a gentle hum to the room.
Graham had yet to take his eyes off of you since the two of you woke up, his cereal left uneaten in his hand despite you encouraging him to eat it before it got soggy. "You're beautiful, you know that?" He asked, tucking your hair back behind your ear.
"What?" You practically choked on your cereal, moving the bowl to the coffee table and giving Graham your full attention instead.
"You're beautiful." He repeated, cupping your face with one hand while the other reached for your own, intertwining your fingers. "I've just been thinking about it, that's okay."
"Yeah?" You asked, the undivided attention you were giving the brunette having his cheeks flush pink, his eyes moving between your lips and your own.
"Yeah." He answered breathlessly, looking back to your eyes and wetting his lips. "Can I... can I kiss you?"
"Yeah." You answered, not leaving another second for him to make the first move, ducking down and pressing your lips to his in one swift movement. Graham was stunned into stillness, though only for a second, quickly regaining his senses and kissing you back, his lips moving in sync with yours.
Your hands moved up to his hair, tugging and pulling him closer to you as his cupped your jaw, deepening the kiss with every movement of his lips and swipe of his tongue against yours. Graham's other hand moved to the small of your back, pulling you up and guiding you into his lap, you leg swinging over him and settling on either side of his hips comfortably.
At the sound of a door creaking open somewhere down the hall, you pressed your lips against Graham's in one final, long kiss, then another quick softer one, sliding off his lap and cuddling into his side - pulling the blanket over the two of you. As the footsteps got closer to the room, Graham grabbed your cereal for you, picking up his own as well and forcing his attention onto the tv screen a little too hard.
"woah, morning guys." Eddie stumbled through the living room, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he tried to find the kitchen with his eyes half closed. "you're up earlier."
"She always is." Graham answered, eyes unmoving from the episode of The Waltons that was beginning to come to an end. "I'm just tagging along."
"So you weren't making out when I came in here?" Grahams hand was quick to smack against your back as you chocked on your cereal, your coughing going away quickly as he helped you. "And you didn't get into bed together last night?"
"If we say no, will you believe us?" You looked at Eddie over the back of the couch, a glass of water in his hands and his eyes squinted tightly shut in an effort to keep the daylight out.
"No. I have eyes." Eddie sassed, taking a sip of his water and running his hand over his face, his hair immediately flopping back in front of his eyes after he pushed it back. He could do with a headband, you thought, making a mental note to but him one the next time you were out. "But I'm not going to say anything. You do you. Night guys."
As soon as you heard Eddie's bedroom door close again, you were back on Graham's lap, letting your empty bowl of cereal fall to the floor and not caring, knowing you'd clean it up later.
"Really?" Graham asked, reaching around you to place his bowl down carefully, unlike how you'd all but thrown it down.
"Really." You didn't waste another second before pulling him in for another kiss, threading your fingers through the tufts of hair at the nape of his neck, rocking closer to him as the kiss deepened. Pulling back only enough to whisper words against his lips, Graham went in for another kiss, but you stopped him with a gentle push to his chest. "He's definitely gonna tell Warren isn't he."
"Oh, for sure."

bc that part where they’re performing More Fun to Miss and billy’s getting all close to daisy would HURT reader. maybe in this universe it really is all an act and she knows daisy wouldn’t do that to her, but she still gets insecure and gets even more confused about where she stands with him :( that was a line billy never crossed until now bc it was always with other groupies.
Or how eddie and billy have that moment on stage since 90% of their beef is because of how he treats muse reader😭
idk! i’ve been obsessed with ur billy blurbs so i wanted to hear ur #thoughts 🫣
-🦅
literally that song has so much sexual tension, it drives me insane every single time I watch it and here's the thing. this is the point where reader's given billy the tour, she'll be there for him during that and that's it. if he doesn't make his choice by the end then it's over and she'll be done for good.
but regardless, there is so much tension and the cycle has really started again on top of all that, he's mean, eddie is holds you when you cry, it's a rough time and by chicago it's all at the breaking point. so when he's looking at daisy like that, when he's so close, smirking, there's a pit in your stomach of realization, a feeling of he's never gonna change. and you get it because daisy is talented, gorgeous, magnetic, but he could leave you for her in a second and the media would probably love it so much more. and you're basically sick to your stomach
and when you find out that this is the end of eddie, that he's done with the band forever, and you're so distraught. because now billy is promising to go to rehab, to get better, but you're about to lose eddie forever. the chips are down.
"eddie, what are you doing?" you're in the doorframe of his hotel room as he packs up.
he looks at you long and hard, "I'm done with the band, I can't do this anymore. everything always goes his way and I can't sit back and watch him treat you the way he does anymore"
"you're leaving me?" your voice cracks ever so slightly, just like the rest of his heart.
"I'm leaving the band."
you're walking further into the room, closer to him, "eddie, I know it's been rough, but it's all gonna get better, yeah? just stay, please, stay."
"no, it's not."
"yeah it is. billy and daisy are both going to rehab, and I'm not sure what's going on with graham and karen, but I'm sure we'll figure it out. we'll all be okay, you just have to stay"
"I can't live in the shadow of billy dunne anymore, I need to leave"
and you understand, you really do, you want him to do what's best for you. but it'll break your heart to let go of him and have to wait to see if billy lives up to his promise. and you can't deal with all that without eddie, he's been your only rock. and you feel selfish for crying.
"it won't be like before and if it is then leave, but not now, don't go yet"
"come with me" and you're looking up at him and so tempted. because you do love him, just not with the same intensity you have for billy, but maybe billy will let you down again, so you should choose the stable option.
"what?"
"come with me, sunshine. I'll figure something else out and we can be happy together." and you're staring so blankly because you really don't know. "you know all this can't last forever, you were always going to have to make a choice. and it hurts me to ask you too, but you can wait for him or come with me. and that's that."
you're crying unabashedly now, "eddie, I can't-"
some part of eddie knew you were always going to pick billy, so he accepts it solemnly, "I know, sunshine, I know."
"I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you"
"yeah, sometimes things just happen, I get it." he's got his bag strapped over his shoulder, "just don't stay with him if he doesn't keep his promises, you deserve so much better."
then you're kissing him one last time, he'll miss your taste, the softness of your lips, the way you hold his face. and when he pull away and looks in your eyes he remembers how young you are, especially when you a mutter out a small, "please, don't be a stranger ed's. can you call me?" how you went from a girl listening to a band to being in a complicated, turbulent relationship with a rockstar so fast and he doesn't know if he's ever pitied you more. in his gut he knows the band is over and you'll have to go back to a normal life after years of this, and he isn't sure if billy ever will be doing better. but eddie can't stay. and if he calls then he may never move on so he kisses your forehead, squeezes your hand, and is gone.
it really does feel like your world has come crashing apart, karen leaves, warren goes to be with lisa, eddie is gone, billy and daisy in rehab, and you're begging graham to just come to california for a while. he agrees for a few weeks and it does help you settle somewhat, having a familiar face, someone to bring you down. but eventually he has to go and you have to reintegrate into the socialite lifestyle of your father, have days where you're desperately looking for something to do because you're used to spending everyday at the studio or on tour. but now everyday is just endless nothing, getting back to your friends, laying on the beach, but you miss billy, you miss eddie, you miss everyone
eventually you do small modeling gigs for magazines to fill your time, people admire your fashion and you're in the media simply for being a young socialite, but parties aren't nearly as fun without the people you'd grown so close too. and I mean your heart literally jumps out of your chest when billy knocks on it one day.
anyways yeah lmao 💋

So as I finished the show, I'm going to be posting my divergencies for Daisy Jones & The Six muses. I'm mostly book based with some show influences, so mostly the things the show changed from the book will be what I focus on here. This post is gonna be a long one, so under a cut it goes. Eddie and Camila have the biggest changes. Everyone else is pretty adaptable either way. There are mentions of cheating, drugs, and alcohol in this post. I'm always willing and happy to do aus and canon divergent threads and such but for like a timeline basis - this is where I am.
Eddie Loving: (Not Roundtree? WTF was that lmao) is the rhythm guitarist. I will always refer to Pete Loving (his brother? Why change that? JFC) as the bassist. This change really annoyed me because it changed Eddie's and Billy's entire dynamic. Eddie was constantly pissed about Billy changing his sections, or taking them over entirely. The scene in the book where Daisy's band leaves her and Eddie goes on stage with her to help her do an acoustic set, and then Billy comes on stage and 'asks' for his guitar to perform Honeycomb acoustic with her (when none of this was planned) and then Billy just LEAVES HIS GUITAR FOR HIM TO PICK UP when the Six come on to start their set? Insanity. Really fucking pushed Eddie over the edge honestly. Eddie (and sometimes Pete and Karen) being annoyed about things being dictated by Billy, with Graham and Warren just rolling with the punches, really shaped how the six worked, and it's a shame a lot of that was cut out of the show. There's no weird romance angle between him and Camila either. Eddie and Billy had a tense, strained relationship from the get-go and adding Camila to that really doesn't change much, except make it about something it really wasn't. Eddie wanted to be a part of a rock and roll band, and he honestly hated that they kept singing songs about Camila all the time (he liked Camila, but not romantically, and a lot of the music wasn't what he wanted to play, but he did it anyway).
Camila Dunne: The biggest change here really is mentioned above - the weird romance / hook up / cheating thing with Eddie is not a part of it. However, there is a part in the book where she spends almost an entire day with a high school boyfriend (who she had considered her first love) after the birth of Julia (and maybe the twins? I'm not 100% on that I'd have to look it up) and it is something that she and Billy never discuss. Billy makes a huge point not to ask questions about it because if she wanted to talk about it, she would have. The conversation between Camila and Daisy also happens the way it does in the book - in the middle of the night, while Billy is a bar, and Julia is asleep in Daisy's bed after they found her trying and failing to get into her room.
Karen Sirko: I like the idea of her being a nomadic keyboardist post the Six, going about from band to band and touring constantly and living her life the way she always wanted, rather than her having a semi-successful band of her own. It showed that she could make it many times over, be successful, be happy the way she wanted. I'm keeping that.
Warren Rojas: I'm keeping the name change. Everything else? I'm good with. He was probably the best depicted from book to show. The illest, chillest vibe. Just wanted to do drugs, play drums, and live life. I stan that man.
Billy Dunne: I prefer the book version here in the way he relapsed. I think it's more fitting to who he was throughout the entire journey, even show wise. His continued temptation, almost taking a drink and being interrupted by Camila or someone else, and then finally bending. His relationship with alcohol, how he describes what it is to him, the smell that gets him, how overwhelmed he is being around it, is so much more descriptive in the book, and considering the book is narrator based and in an interview format, it's a really well done journey for him. But he never chose Daisy. He always chose Camila. I know the show is going to take liberties for dramatic and storytelling purposes, but I found the strength in his struggle so much more empowering in the book.
Daisy Jones: Pretty similar to Warren and Billy. The show did them a pretty good service. The biggest beef I have with how they portrayed her was her relationship with Nicky. He seemed way more of a standup guy UNTIL the night she overdosed, but he compared to the book, he was like a perfect husband. I liked that she threw him out of her room rather than leaving him quietly like she did in the book though. That can stay.

CHRISTINE NOELLE DUNNE , VOGUE OF FEBURARY 1981.
on the fame and life of chrissy dunne , wife of billy dunne , former front person for the six ( a band that will live in infamy for the end of a tour that still remains a mystery ). chrissy opens up about her own fame , family , and everything in between.
Q : define yourself in three words. A. caring , happy , and free.
Q : were you the inspiration behind aurora , what was the story? A. i get asked this a lot in a billion different ways. if i was the muse for billy's talent , why the song was written. it isn't my song , it isn't my meaning to tell. aurora was the beginning for the six , for the foundation that made our lives. he's the only one that can tell you about his music. Q : you and billy married young , right? A. i was nineteen , going on twenty. billy was four years older then me. i've known him since i moved to pittsburgh , graham ( guitarst for the six and younger brother of billy ) and i became best friends in elementary school. it's silly , but i had always had a crush on him. i think for a long time , i was just another one of graham's friends to him. god , all of this sounds like i'm making it up. but billy took me to my senior prom , my date decided not to show up. it happened after that. i moved to california with them , no questions asked. i always believed that he was going somewhere. billy and i had marlee ( the oldest of four children ), and we got married right after. it was never out of any obligation , a lot of people thought that.
Q : you're a mother of four , how do you balance motherhood and your career? A. hollywood was never anything i imagined for myself. but one day at a photoshoot for the six , the photographer was convinced i had a place on the screen. i took his card and it stayed on our kitchen counter for a long time. we had just had the twins ( lacey and caroline dunne ) , and being a mother that would have been enough for me. but billy knew i wanted something more , that i deserved something for myself for once. he was always encouraging and supporting of me. one of the biggest things i do before taking on a film is i make sure everyone knows family is my top priority , if that isn't understood i'm not going to take the role. Q : can you talk about aurora , about the six? what happened to them? A. that isn't my story to tell. i was their biggest supporter , but like a lot of us , i was an outsider. if the six ever want to tell their story , i'll leave it for them to do themselves.
Q : did you ever envision yourself as a mother? or was there any other dream? A. when i was little , i had a billion dreams. i wanted to be a doctor, a princess , a teacher. i think all of us were like that. there were a billion things i wanted to do. but i wasn't sure that i ever wanted to be a mother. i didn't exactly have the best example of one. but now that i am? i think it's the most fulfilling thing in my life. i've worried so long about being defined as only a mother and a wife in the eyes of everyone. it's why i've worked so hard on my career. Q : what is your biggest achievement? A. there are a billion ways i could answer this. but i think it's just making it. for a long time i thought i was going to have a life that wasn't mine. when i was younger a lot of choices got made for me. i feel like i've really come into my own. i've learned to find my own voice , learned to say no.
Q : if you had any piece of advice for younger you, what would it be? A. you don't have to be everything for everyone. i think that's important for a lot of us to hear. that negative feelings are okay to have , that you're allowed to get angry or cry. don't hold those back. Q : there were a lot of rumors that floated around about billy , his relationship with daisy, his sobriety. A. like any relationship , we're not perfect. people who perform have a persona they share for their fans. but there are a lot of private things that happen off the stage and behind screens. i've made mistakes , billy has made mistakes. but none of that matters because each day is a new one and each day we make the choice to love each other. we don't have to do that. love isn't always simple or easy.
Q : where do you see yourself in twenty years? A. i think somewhere similar to where we are now. i don't know that i want to stay in LA , as much as i love it here. it's been home as long as i can remember. but the idea of settling down somewhere a little more quiet sounds really nice.

Daisy Jones & the Six | S1 E1
I've been excited for Daisy Jones & the Six since it was announced but to now have it available and to see these characters come alive on television feels surreal.
Tumblr media
I wanted to binge watch it but like the story flow in the book, I didn't want to rush it. I wanted a slow burn. So I'm writing my thoughts about one episode a day but who knows, tomorrow is a Saturday and I might end up finishing the remaining two before the remaining . (BTW I'm still outraged at the fact they made this a series & The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo a movie.)
So here goes & mild spoilers if you are yet to see the first episode:
Episode - 1 : Come & Get It
Tumblr media
“I had absolutely no interest in being somebody else's muse. I am not a muse. I am the somebody. End of fucking story.”
This episode we get all the characters sitting down for interviews & we go into their rise. I perfectly loved how we went from their old self sitting down to give interviews & reminiscing their past. The portrayal of the Dunne brothers & Daisy was more fleshed out in the books than here but it was the perfect amount of exposition given in the series. The little bread crumbs left for us to pick! I jumped around whenever there was a little bit of foreshadowing. Cannot wait to see the payoffs.
The Soundtrack was sooo beautiful! I tapped my feet to every song and even the background scores. It was all so catchy and fit perfectly to the theme of the show. the 70s classic Rock n Roll. The characters,
Billy Dunne - Absolutely wonderfully portrayed by Sam Claflin. The light cockiness but the absolute heart-on-the-sleeve persona. The light bread crumbs left*Chef's Kiss* <3
Daisy Jones - The chaotic Miss Jones! I was a little skeptical about Riley Keough as Daisy because I always imagined her to be of average looks & baby face like the kind of personality which is small but persona which is big but I absolutely vibed with Riley. Brilliantly executed. I cried at the end when she sung "Be Myself" at the end sitting all alone. I'm waiting for that Soundtrack to drop! Graham Dunne - I have a crush Will Harrison just for that beautiful, Boy band Charisma he carries. He held the guitar for a reason and it has worked on me.
Eddie Roundtree - Absolutely love his jealousy. Its like a cat fight but very one sided. Also I love it when its between two men. Josh Whitehouse smashed it from his very first dialogue.
Warren, Simone, Teddy & Rodes - I am absolutely glad they didn't side line their characters. I am waiting for them to have more screen time though. Camila Dunne - Camila is my FAVOURITE character in the book! I am in awe and in love with Camila Morrone for doing such an amazing job and I cannot wait to see her as the story progresses. I loved the dialogues & how some were changed into conversations instead of the characters telling it to us. The screenplay was also very good. The shots as if they were taken by Video recorder was an amzing choice! Makes it more personal.
I'll have more thoughts after I watch the next episodes.
Final Thoughts : Get me "Be Myself" fast!!!!!!!!!!!!

MUSE UPDATE: adding daisy jones, billy dunne, karen sirko and graham dunne (also considering camilla?)
i finished the daisy jones and the six book (cannot recommended the audiobook enough! the physical book was hard for me to follow because i have no attention span but the different narrators made it easy!) but I have not watched the show yet. they will likely be book + headcanon based with show influences.

Tumblr media
Daisy Jones & The Six: The Iconic '70s Rock Band's Rise & Fall
Daisy Jones and The Six: The Untold Story of a Legendary Rock Band
In the electrifying era of the 1970s, the music industry was ablaze with the raw energy and unapologetic spirit of rock 'n' roll. Amidst this cultural revolution, a band emerged that would forever etch its name into the annals of music history – Daisy Jones and The Six. This captivating novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid takes readers on a mesmerizing journey through the rise, turmoil, and eventual dissolution of one of the most iconic rock bands of the decade.
The Birth of a Legend
- Daisy Jones, a free-spirited and charismatic singer-songwriter, burst onto the Los Angeles music scene with her raw talent and magnetic stage presence. - The Six, a tight-knit group of musicians led by the brooding and talented Billy Dunne, had already established themselves as a formidable force in the rock world. - When their paths crossed, an explosive fusion of talent and personalities ignited, giving birth to the legendary band that would captivate audiences worldwide.
The Meteoric Rise to Stardom
From the gritty clubs of the Sunset Strip to sold-out arenas, Daisy Jones and The Six quickly ascended to the pinnacle of rock stardom. Their electrifying live performances and chart-topping albums resonated with fans who craved the authenticity and rebellion that defined the era. - Daisy Jones embodied the unapologetic spirit of the 70s, her powerful vocals and magnetic stage presence commanding the attention of audiences everywhere. - Billy Dunne, the band's enigmatic frontman, possessed a brooding charisma that perfectly complemented Daisy's fiery energy, creating an undeniable chemistry on stage. - Their hit songs, infused with raw emotion and unforgettable melodies, became anthems for a generation seeking freedom and self-expression.
Behind the Scenes: Chaos and Controversy
While their music captivated millions, the personal lives of Daisy Jones and The Six were shrouded in chaos and controversy. The novel delves deep into the tumultuous relationships, substance abuse, and creative clashes that threatened to tear the band apart. - Camila Dunne, Billy's wife and the band's muse, struggled to maintain her identity amidst the whirlwind of fame and temptation. - Graham Dunne, the band's bassist and Billy's brother, grappled with his own demons, often finding solace in the bottle. - Daisy Jones, a force of nature on stage, battled her own insecurities and addictions, leading to volatile outbursts and strained relationships within the band.
The Infamous Breakup and Enduring Legacy
Despite their meteoric success, the pressures of fame and personal turmoil ultimately led to the shocking and abrupt breakup of Daisy Jones and The Six.
