Sortir pour sortir 3. Direction Saint-Antonin-sur-Bayon et sa majesté Sainte-Victoire ce matin pour une ascension que les régionaux de l’étape connaissent et savent l’exigence de la pente. De très bonnes sensations dès le départ, les jambes répondent : ma séance plus tôt dans la semaine a fait son office. Alors que je quitte Beaurecueil pour cheminer vers mon point culminant, je récupère alors que le compteur affiche 4% dans une zone où la pente est de 8%. Plus loin, il en sera de même mais en mieux (ou en pire) : oui on peut souffler dans des passages à 9% quand le pétard incline à 12%… théorie de la relativité appliquée à la bicyclette ! Satisfaction du jour : un cardio maîtrisé pour une moyenne de 149 bpm sur la sortie et de 165 au pic de l’intensité. C’était là, l‘objectif du jour. Allez à la douche !

Day 9

Did people ever make comments about your weight/body in a negative way?

Yes allthough it was never meant to be hurtful.

My mom mostly always commented on my eating habits which made me scared of being weird in what and how I eat.

My childhood friend once wanted to make his little sister feel a bit better about her body and said "mycanyon is also not very skinny and still can do a front flip." or something like that. This was a long time ago. We are still friends though and I am very happy about that.

One of my best friends in 8th grade decided to tell me that I am getting fat (didn't use those words tho) and that they just wanted to tell me because they dont want me to wake up one day and hate how I look. ... worked great!

Some guy on the street called me a "fat bitch" after I told him no when he asked for my number. Gotta love being a woman!

So it was never really bad and I am sure I phrased some thing wrong but I felt always weird when someone mentions my body.

140123 Cela faisait un moment que j’avais cet objectif dans mon collimateur à pédale (on fonctionne à l’ancienne, tout en traditionnel) : Col de Pas de la Couelle, l’heure de notre rendez-vous est arrivée. Départ vers 10 heures (10h21 soyons précis) pour un petit parcours de 57 km. Passés les 800 premiers mètres, on attaque directement une première ascension de 7 km et ses 8% de moyenne : ça finit de réveiller, ça fait mal et surtout, ça réchauffe son homme !Les kilomètres s’égrènent. Mon gps m’invite à tourner à gauche « chemin de la Michelle »… énième pétard et pas le dernier du tracé ! Arrivé au point de bascule, je stoppe ma progression pour profiter du paysage qui s’offre à moi. Je sors mon téléphone, il faut que je vous partage ce moment ! La bicyclette, c’est certes difficile, mais certaines récompenses se méritent. (photo 6 à 10)Je reprends mon chemin, satisfait de ma trouvaille et me dirige vers le pied de mon ultime ascension. Les pourcentages varient : 4,8, 6, 9, 10… la route est belle, la lumière magnifique... je profite de mon moment. Déjà le panneau annonçant le col apparaît et j‘entame une descente bien méritée et à fond la caisse (des sensations de malade !). Retour sur des routes plus calmes pour refermer ma boucle du jour. Ce fut une bien belle sortie. Allez, à la douche !
