Myths of the Realm Part 2
After my guess on the first 4 of the twelve was pretty much correct I wanted to make a part two, now that the new trailer is out. so here we go again...
So first we see the woman in the middle and than it switches to a view with all five we get to see in the trailer (two of them we can see only the hand and a spear for now). I want to start with the guy on the right.
This is Althyk, the Keeper, the surveyor of change and god of space and time. He commands the element of earth and his symbol is the hourglass which we can see on his shoulder cape pyramid things. He is depicted as an emperor wielding a greataxe. He is the father of Azeyma and Menphina, and elder brother to Nymeia. Who comes next.
This is Nymeia the spinner, the watcher of celestial bodies and goddess of fate. She commands the element of water and is depicted as a weaver wearing a white silken veil. Her symbol is the spinning wheel. She is the younger sister of Althyk, and the master of Rhalgr.
Here on the left side of the picture we have Nymeia and Althyk (on a horse) together. It seems we fight them together.
Sadly we don’t get a good look at the next one who is Nophica, the matron, tender of soils and harvests and goddess of abundance. She also commands the element of earth. She is depicted as a farmer holding a scythe, and her symbol is the spring leaf. Nophica is the Daughter of Azeyma, younger sister of Llymlaen, and the rival of Halone. Nophica is also the patron of Gridania.
Next we have this little cute bean and I could not be happier with her design. I love her so much and I can’t wait to see her together with Oschon. My true otp among the twelve.
She is my favorit among the twelve. This is Menphina, the Lover, keeper of the moon (formerly two moons) and the goddess of love. She commands the element of ice. She is depicted as a maid carrying a round skillet. Her symbol is the full greater moon. Menphina is the younger sister of Azeyma, and the divine lover of Oschon.
Next we have (and might I add she looks stunning, kinda reminds me of Melania with her helmet) Halone the Fury, mover of glaciers and goddess of war. She commands the element of ice and is depicted as a relentless warrior holding a bronze greatshield, and her symbol is three spears. Halone is the patron of the Holy See of Ishgard, and is bitter rivals with Nophica.
For the last Part of Myths of the Realm we still have Thaliak, Llylaen and Oschon left to meet. (can’t wait to meet Oschon maybe he realy is somhow linked to Deryk)

Thaliak really said, "I see you like math bosses. I shall give you... advanced math" and then he hits you with triginometry and phytagoras.

With the Twelve, I’m making two predictions. We find the 13th god (yeah it’s the Watcher lmao) and
A) They want to convince him to return to Etheirys with them, live like a god and be praised and loved by humanity. As pleased as he’d be to see his dear old friends again, even if they do look a lil kooky at the moment thanks to being warped by mankind’s prayers, he’d feel too obligated to his post to go, but at the very least, something within him is awakened, and he has more memories of who he once was and tells us who everyone in the pantheon once was.
B) It’s a setup. Not to ambush us, but to help their souls move on. Unless I’m misremembering something, it’s p much confirmed that the Twelve are composed of people who were followers of Venat when they were concocting Hydaelyn. These were the people she trusted to act as stewards of the star. What I’m guessing is that when Hydaelyn died, that was their cue to have the WoL put them down permanently, adding to our god-killing resume. They’ve carried on for so long and have been so warped by humankind that now that they can confirm that they aren’t needed anymore thanks to WoL’s shenanigans, they would like to return to the lifestream and let life carry on without them, just as Hydaelyn hoped they would do.

I was watching Jesse Cox's stream last night and someone said before the Oschon fight "All the monks use the opo-opo form to make him feel bad", and I've been thinking about that all day.

i don't normally make posts about things myself but i keep thinking about how the whole point of EW was that the strength you needed didn't come from a god, or a supreme being, or a primal or anything: it all comes from you
your love for this world and your friends and everything that you allow purpose and meaning- that is what gives you the strength to climb to your feet, even when you feel utterly alone at the end of the universe
In Shb we had Ardbert who gave us the strength to take that next step, but in EW we are alone (save for Zenos i guess but this ain't about him). That's why even though I agree that "it was the ancients" is becoming an extremely stale take, I still forgive MotR and the Twelve because it's hammering in EW's theme of being enough to handle what life throws at you without needing to rely on something much larger than yourself
EW's plot- and even the Omicron quests -point to the fact that dynamis alone does nothing. It has to be moved to action by feelings/emotions for it to work. As N-7000 says, "all [dynamis] requires is for us to ask "what if?""
Zodiark did not save the Ancients. Hydaelyn cannot save Her Children. The Twelve do not answer your cries. Primals are bound to the prayers of those that summon them.
The Warrior of Light is an imperfect being. More talented than most, but imperfect yet. EW does not make you a god. It shows that change can be wrought by anyone, at any time. You need not do it alone: there are others willing to come to your aid. But when you are alone, at the end of your rope, facing insurmountable odds: the strength you need can only come from within.

At journey's end
The whole alliance raid gotta be my favorite raid out of everything.
Anyway, it seems that most people didn't connect that the 12 Gods (including the watcher) are Venat's trusted friends from back then. The one you see in Anamnesis Anyder cutscene :/
Seeing comments saying they are useless is sad tbh. They are not Gods to begin with. They're there to support Venat T^T

Myths of the Realm Part 3
Finally the last part and the last three are or should be revealed??
First one we see in the trailer is our strong fisherwoman Llymlaen
Well.. not as "strong" as i imagined her..
Llymlaen the watcher of the sea and goddess of navigation. She is depicted as a strong fisherwoman holding a long-bladed harpoon. And her symbol is the wave. She is the guardian patron of Limsa Lominsa. She is the Sister of Nophica and child of Azeyma and Thaliak.
Next we have my love, always, Oschon who we can see two? times on the screen and who is swinging like tarzan
sadly we don't get a good look of his face *sad cry*
Oschon, the wanderer, ruler of the mountains and god of vagrants. He is depicted as a carefree ranger wielding a bow. His symbol is the walking stick. Brother of Nald'thal, and close companion of Halone. Oschon is the divine lover of Menphina.
And I am still convinced that Deryk is linked to Oschon.. just me? No?
The last one we get to see? And I think that this will be his domain:
Thaliak, the scholar, ruler of rivers and wisdom and god of knowledge. He is depicted as a reserved scholar holding an ashen staff, and his symbol is the scroll. He is the husband of Azeyma and father of Nophica and Llymlaen. He is also the teacher of Byregot and patron of Sharlayan.
And with that we got all of the twelve
