I know I post fuck-all on here but I got to see my Roebro get a glow-up today and you are going to Look At Him. Right now, the whole graphics update seems to be a bit controversial (MoonKeepers losing their fangs, Veena losing their big pupils, lips/teeth looking odd on some races, etc) but beyond a bit of over-smoothing, I think they did awesome on the Roebros! I can't speak for everyone else, I just think Bori looks really good. They even reduced the gap between the jaw and the beard! I hated whenever the camera was put at an angle that made it sound out- which is unfortunately often.

its really interesting to me how kaidou says he feels like saiki is protecting/looking out for all of them somehow. like do they all have some kind of innate sense that the Weird Things happening around them are saikis doing? or do you think saiki gives off a strong "if anything happens to my friends im going to become the joker" vibe that he doesnt even notice

Baby Wind shenanigan's at last!

Twilight happily let Wind swing their clasped hands between them while they walked down the main street of the small town. Wind’s delighted gasps and excited questions putting his face in a constant grin. Eventually he managed to lead Wind to the tailors shop where they got Wind clothes that actually fit. The first major problem they encountered was actually in the cobblers.

“I don’t wanna!”

“Link, these boots will keep your feet safe while we walk.”

“They feel icky.”

Twilight sent a helpless look towards the others hoping they might have an idea. Time stepped forward and Twilight felt a tiny fist grab his tunic.

“You know the story of the hero of Time, yes?” Wind’s eyes filled with stars

“He’s the coolest ever! I’m gonna be like him some day.”

“Well, he had to wear boots before he could go fight monsters.” 

Wind squinted in the direction of the boots he’d taken off, his face so cute in its suspicion. Then he turned pleading eyes on Twilight and quietly presented the one pair of boots his size they hadn’t tried on yet.

“Can you tie these for me?”

You know why I don't like AUs where Kusuo isn't a psychic, or just doesn't have a whole slew of powers? Having ESP has shaped most of his personality, and if it weren't for that, he wouldn't be the same person at all.

He'd probably be mad about this fact, but his cynicism and bitterness was born due to him hearing thoughts of people, and who they're really like behind closed doors. If he hadn't seen any of that, and if he just didn't have anything that made him "Psychic Kusuo", he wouldn't truly be...Kusuo, if that makes sense. He'd be a normal boy, likely would become a lot more smiley and positive

If I ever think of an AU, he's always going to be horribly overpowered because that's what his character trope is. And as much as he'd have loved to be normal from the very start, I wonder if he'd wish to restart his life thus far just as average, powerless Kusuo Saiki. The Kusuo who gets surprised at birthday parties, who feels a sense of accomplishment every time he achieves something great, who can't always see through people no matter how obvious it is.

I don't think he'd choose that...At least, I wouldn't want him to. His ESP is so all-encompassing to who he is, he wouldn't even be able to be friends with his current ones if he had no powers from the get-go. Touma wouldn't be his friend, Teruhashi would've seen him like any other guy, etc. Even Kusuke would get bored of having such a plain brother...

tw for suicide mentions + spoilers for TGCF's novels, mainly 6.

thinking about how mu qing and feng xin have NO clue that xie lian tried to kill himself and it had me thinking about what IF they eventually found out. probably after the novels have officially ended and they're all together as friends again.

XL still wears his bandages around his throat even though he doesn't have his cursed shackle anymore and they find it a bit odd. they ask once or twice and he's quick to change the subject so they don't push any further. this goes on for MONTHS until they go out on an adventure / mission together.

the xianle trio were off to solve some sort of mystery and XL gets in a fight. it results in the trio's win, of course, but the bandage around XL's throat comes undone. the white cloth unravels in front of their eyes and what they see immediately is setting alarms off in their head. a dark purple bruise is embedded into his skin and the trio immediately are jumping to conclusion, assuming hua cheng had done something.

XL is quick to deny those accusations while still trying to avoid the subject entirely, but it doesn't work well. eventually, he breaks.

"Ah- it's nothing to worry about, really! After mother and father died I foolishly tried to join them in the afterlife. It's stupid, I know- gods can't die, after all. Haha! It's nothing to worry about, though."

and the thick silence that ensues is SUFFOCATING for XL. he's concerned he'll be judged and perhaps lose his two friends once again. that doesn't happen, however, and instead there's this look of guilt on their expression that cannot be matched by anyone else. it was clear that they were blaming themselves for leaving XL even though it obviously wasn't their fault.

and then they go home and have tea together and cuddle and everything is fine. (it isn't.)
