Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats - S.O.B. (Official)
My heart was breaking, hands are shaking, bugs are crawling all over me / My heart was breaking, hands are shaking, bugs are crawling all over me / My heart was breaking, hands are shaking, bugs are crawling all over me / My heart was breaking, hands are shaking, bugs are crawling all over me
Son of a bitch / Give me a drink / One more night / This can't be me / Son of a bitch / If I can't get clean / I'm gonna drink my life away

Bob Weir Sits in with Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats; Lessons are Learned and Confirmed
Bob Weir recently joined Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats on stage to play some tunes and have some fun. So much fun was had, the musicians released professional video of the collaborations.
Besides confirming Weir - who also plays with Dead & Company and Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros - is partial to bands with ampersands in their names, the sit-ins, which included “Me and My Uncle,” “Slow Train Coming” and “The Other One,” imparted and confirmed some facts.
To wit:
* Weir’s style of lead guitar is weirder than his weird style of rhythm guitar.
* Rateliff is a master of imitating Christian-period Bob Dylan.
* Weir doesn’t know the words to “Slow Train.”
* The Night Sweats are not good background vocalists.
* Horns belong in “The Other One.”
* So do backgrounds; even bad ones would be better than Weir singing it alone.
Class is dismissed.

Song Review: Margo Price - “Stranger in a Strange Land”
Margo Price managed to retain Leon Russell’s spirit while making “Stranger in a Strange Land” sound like a Margo Price song.
Her cover is the lead single announcing the Aug. 25 release of A Song For Leon: A Tribute to Leon Russell, which includes contributions from Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Orville Peck, Pixies, Monica Martin, Hiss Golden Messenger and others.
In strong voice and with a slight echo effect in place, Price is backed with a choir and ensemble that sounds uncannily like Tedeschi Trucks Band. Her “Stranger” hits its apex on the long coda as she riffs at the mic and the band vamps.
There’s got to be a better way/a better way/a better way, she sings as it builds.
Hot stuff, this is.
Grade card: Margo Price - “Stranger in a Strange Land” - A
