What architecture do you admire where do you live? I’ve always appreciated the architecture of the #nationalmuseumsingapore - it’s a mix of Neo-Palladian and Renaissance styles. While it was originally built in 1849 (It’s older than the country!) it was redeveloped with its gorgeous glass rotunda in 2004. Definitely stop and admire the details in the main rotunda as well as the newer wing. It’s also a relatively quieter museum with a mix of interactive installations for kids to historical exhibits exploring Singapore’s history. It’s definitely worth checking out! #traveltips #exploresingapore . . #flashesofdelight #TLpicks #fodorsonthego #TripMaximizer #IAmATraveler #bestplacestogo #lonelyplanet #hiddengems #LifeWellTravelled #visitsingapore #exploresg #singaporeinsiders #letsexploresg #thisweekoninstagram #singaporediscovers #stillatraveler #ig_architecture #thewanderingtourist #bestcitybreaks #singaporecity #thisissingapore #topsgshots #cityscapes #urbanshutter (at National Museum of Singapore) https://www.instagram.com/p/CdN8kfzhdXm/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Because I love storms and clouds and the sea and beach, I love this picture (exteme right) of a menacing storm cloud right on Bondi Beach. You can see a facsimile along East Coast Park at times. Go check it out: Rohan Kelly Australia Storm Front on Bondi Beach Nature, first prize singles A massive shelf cloud moves towards Bondi Beach. The cloud was part of a weather front that brought violent thunderstorms, with local media reporting damaging winds, hailstones the size of golf balls, and heavy rainfall. Shelf clouds are low cloud banks often with smooth or layered surfaces, and black, turbulent bases. . Was glad to have participated in the National Museum of Singapore’s preview of their new children’s programme, GosTan Back. In partnership with MySuperFuture Theatrical Productions, the programme is a family theatre performance suitable for all children with different needs and abilities. It is important for our museums and heritage spaces to be accessible and inclusive, as Singapore's heritage belongs to all of us. It was also great to meet the many youth volunteers who took the time to help out as facilitators in the programme, as well as the passionate actors who put up a wonderful performance. Do look out for GosTan Back at the National Museum of Singapore this Children’s Season! #NationalMuseumSingapore #NMS #nationalmuseumsg #ChildrenSeason (at National Museum of Singapore)

Thank you so much to @whatissingapore for the feature! You've made my day ! Tag #whatissingapore of your great #Singapore shot for a chance to be featured too! . @Regrann from @whatissingapore - A stamp worthy shot!!! Thank you @bellaella777 for sharing this capture with #whatissingapore ・・・ . So...woke up very early this morning for a #MediaPreview of the annual Children's Season Singapore 2017! As usual, I love the view of the @natmuseum_sg on approach - the magnificent building was opened over a hundred years ago on 12 October 1887 as the Raffles Library and Museum. . . . . . "One of the building’s most outstanding features is its rotunda, which is crowned with a 27-metre-high dome covered with fish-scale tiles. Coloured glass panels and arched windows on the dome ensure that the interiors are naturally illuminated." See if you can spot the inflatable bouncy bumboat for the kids on the front lawn ...and the man in blue! . #heritagebuilding #singaporearchitecture #colonialarchitecture #architecture #sgarts #childrensseason #childrensseason2017 #childrensseasonsg #instagramsg #NationalMuseumSingapore #SgMuseum #museumsg #Singapore #sgmemory #sgheritage #igsingapore #igerssingapore #ExploreSG #ExploreSingapore #instasg #igsg #Sgig #yoursingapore #VisitSingapore #TNPSG #Alistsg #SGNOW (at National Museum of Singapore)
