It was me. I killed Christos. […] I was 15 years old. But he didn’t say one word. Didn’t speak. He didn’t say where you were. That’s how much he loved you. I wanted you to know that you were loved. Because I wasn’t.
Missing Fargo has me thinking of my other most beloved profoundly damaged hitman. Cannot and will not believe it’s been 10 years

Klokkenluider is now available to buy from Apple movies, Youtube movies and Prime Video.
It was dark, thrilling and worth the £9.99 to satisfy my need to see all of the Tom Burke things ever!
My Wee - no spoilers - review:
I didn't mind spending money as a big fan of both Tom Burke and of Neil Maskell but if you don't like thrillers or indy movies with an unsettling vibe then maybe wait for it to get picked up by a streaming or TV channel.
8/10 - why did I watch it alone in the dark during a storm?!

This one got past my radar. It’s an interview from the fall with director Neil Maskell talking about his film Klokkenluider. At around 5:45 he talks about casting Jenna Coleman who apparently was only on the film shoot for a couple of days but blew him away. Oh and for me anyway this is the first video I’ve seen where we actually hear someone utter the phrase “Klokkenluider”.

A new poster of the film Klokkenluider has been released!
It stars Jenna Coleman as foul mouthed reporter Flo, who, according to the Guardian: "turns up for a sweary tour de force that will thoroughly scandalise her period drama fans".
Klokkenluider will be shown in UK cinemas from the 1st of September onwards! There are plans for a release outside the UK, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

'...Maskell is known for playing wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill in Peaky Blinders, the hit Brummie gangster series which came to an end in April 2022. A standalone movie is currently in development, and there have been reports of a spin-off series set in the same world. Maskell said he hasn’t heard anything from creator Steven Knight, but is keen to reprise his role in any future projects.
“I’d love to do it a bit more because it’s a real laugh,” he said. “I had great, great fun playing that [character] and Cillian [Murphy, who played protagonist Tommy Shelby] enjoyed doing those scenes because, you know, it’s almost like a flirtation really.”
Maskell went on to explain that a lot of the footage he shot for the show has never seen the light of day. “They didn’t end up using a lot of the stuff we did on the last series… It was quite a bit of writing, you know, and, like always, they have to shrink it a bit.
“But if there’s a Winston Churchill in [the upcoming film] and it’s not me, NME readers can be assured that wasn’t my decision… I would be deeply hurt if they decided to [recast], but then again, I understand they could probably throw a stick and hit a bigger star to play him!”'
