A Glitch’s “Praesent Corporis (δυσλειτουργία) ~ Ètude II”

This art piece were created for my PhD and based on a Digital and Analog Aesthetic Research on "Artistic Practices, Digital Art in Social Networks and Net Art", some digital techniques used of artistic diversity and artificial intelligence platforms; such as the re-mixed appropriation of image or video, also work conceived as original data work called creative altered binary code, datamoshing, generative art and glitch art worked in all its forms and expressions; works of art with a strong focus decoding the i-frames of images and videos (also known as key frames and altered or distorted creative binary code) mixed with seductive techniques of Pixelsorting Art; making it seem extremely sensitive and abstract; created exclusively for the virtual gallery on-line.

Fine Arts

Fine Art is a type of art wherein the academe had been institutionalized so far. Artists, Philosophers, art critics, and arts educators regard fine arts as the highest form of art. The educational institution had created courses so anyone could pursue their passion in any form of arts by choosing their own field of specialization such that in music, literature, and sculptures which are some of the types of fine arts. Anyone can create art but fine arts are created by an artist who demonstrates a high level of skills, creativity, and talent. Fine art is also a piece that cannot be done in just a day. Many artists took a year or more to finish it. From the artist's point of view, they see to it that their work is something that can be distinguishable from the crowd. Their artworks are purposely created for the sole of providing an aesthetic experience. Their art contains their very own soul, their own inspiration, and their state of emotions at the time they were creating it. Because of their uniqueness, fine arts cannot be mass-produced, and most of them are only created once. It can be replicated but original artworks are still of the highest value. Although there are some fine arts that can be seen in public like Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel, most of the fine arts can be seen and displayed in museums and are carefully taken care of and preserved for many years.

New Media Art

With the advancement in technology especially in computer hardware and software, a new emerging genre of art was borne and this is the so-called new media art. Nowadays new media art has been so popular that more and more artists are getting interested in it. So what makes this art different from traditional art? According to Oliver Grau, the New Media Art is a comprehensive term that encompasses art forms that are either produced, modified, and transmitted by means of new media/digital technologies or, in a broader sense, make use of “new” and emerging technologies that originate from a scientific, military, or industrial context. Along with its emphasis on the “new,” New Media Art signifies an explicit difference—or différance—with art practices that make use of traditional, in other words, “old,” visual media (Grau, 2016). The New Media Art includes artworks designed and produced by means of electronic media technologies, comprising virtual art, computer graphics, computer animation, digital art, interactive art, sound art, Internet art, video games, robotics, 3D printing, and cyborg art (Wikipedia, 2022).

Here is one example of new media art created by Teamlab. This was an immersive art installation that combines lights and sounds.
