How They Comfort You

Oh boy-

Nezha

At first, this gremlin is not the one to go to for comfort. If you are upset or crying, he's quick to leave the scene.

Nezha never really had any emotional support during his childhood, since his mother was always banishing demons and his father was off trying to find a cure for him.

Eventually, he gets mad at himself for not being there for you when you needed him, as you reminded him of all the times he would cry himself to sleep as a toddler.

Though Nezha struggles with deep conversations, he will sit down with you and you two will attempt to talk about it. You understand that he is clueless when it comes to comfort, but he will make a great effort from then on.

Nezha's gestures are small, but well appreciated. The usual comfort are his hugs, he will use his power to heat himself up just to the right temperature for a more welcoming hug. He enjoys giving you back rubs, as it makes him feel nice.

*does anyone else get that weird nice feeling when rubbing someone's back in a hug? Just me? 'ight-

Nezha began to think of the comfort he had wanted as a child and used that for you.

Over time, he's more expressive. He'll storm into the village and snatch up all of your favorite delicacies and leave with an annoyed Taiyi having to pay. He'll throw mountains of blankets over you and hold you tightly, murmuring about how he will literally throw all six hands at anything that upsets you. He'll plant kisses all over your face and even offer to put on a show for you.

By that, I mean juggling fireballs or fire puppets. Maybe he'll even use his Red Armillary Sash to dance, though he sucks ass at it. He always get tangled up and falls over his own feet.

Nezha is proud of how he can usually cheer you up in no time, but of course there will be days when playing around doesn't put a smile on your face.

If you feeling worse, then he'll simply lay with you to let you know that he's there for you. The only time he ever leaves is if he needs to take a piss, stretch, or bring you something to eat.

He never wants you to feel as if you have to handle your emotions on your own, not when you have someone who's there for you every step of the way.

Ao Bing

He's known you ever since he was born, so he's instantly gonna know when you're upset even if you hide it.

Ao Bing will lay down with you and listen to what you need to get off of your chest. He is the most understanding and will not speak until you are absolutely done. There is no pressure on you, if there is something you don't want to say, he will not force it out of you.

He just wants his lover to feel better.

He'll coat the walls of the room with a layer of frost, so that the sunlight will give the room the right amount of sparkles. It's truly a magical sight.

Sometimes, you two will lay up in the mountains or on a cloud and look at the stars. He'll even sing to you if you ask him, though the nervousness might make his voice crack at least once. Still, he's just a bit insecure about it, but with yeet that shit to the side if it will cheer you up.

He has a lovely voice, by the way.

Ao Bing will offer a flight in the night sky to clear your mind, but is ∞% down with just laying around and cuddling. He likes to cuddle face-to-face, so that he knows if he's doing alright off of your expressions.

Plus he just likes your face.

There are even times were he'll turn into his dragon form in the size of a dog and just wrap himself around you. It feels nice to trace his scales, and they're really smooth.

Ao Bing doesn't really speak in these situations, because words can only go so deep. He'd rather just lay with you and take away your sadness through kisses and replace it with love.

Hi, i don't know if you still do NeZha Reborn or are still taking requests but here goes nothing I guess.

I was wondering if I could request a headcanon on how Ao Bing would feel and act if he found out that his S/O who is also his betrothed is actually the reincarnation of his mate from his past life. Who was a dragon that also died at Nezha's hands because of them trying to avenge his death.

Moreover, he also finds out that S/O is best friends with Yunxiang.

a/n: sorry for taking so long to get to your req!! but tysm for the nezha reborn req bc i’ve been wanting to write for it for so long but i just never get the chance. i was so excited for this!

• you and ao bing were soulmates, really. throughout all of your lifetimes, you’ve always managed to find each other no matter what. sometimes neither of you would know right away, but you’d still get that weirdly familiar tingle whenever you were both in proximity of each other—and just knew that that person was important somehow.

• sometimes it would take years and years until you’d finally meet, but thankfully, it didn’t take long to find each other this time—early enough to be able to get engaged at your mid-twenties.

• in your previous life, you died to nezha after trying to avenge ao bing’s death. and ao bing didn’t hear this from you, actually, it was relayed to him by his father, and it gave him even more reason and determination to defeat yunxiang.

• it was easier said than done, because, ao bing found out, yunxiang happened to be your best friend.

• which made him furious, needless to say.

• ao bing wasn’t sure if you made amends with him, or if you just seemingly forgot (he assumed it was the latter, because why would you make amends with someone who’s killed you before?)—but regardless of what the situation was, he. did not. like it.

• you’ve also seemed to remember everything apart from the tensions nezha and him had, which made things more difficult for ao bing.

• he felt like he was reaching, but he couldn’t help but think that yunxiang was trying to lure you in just to kill you like he’s done in his previous lifetime, and because of this, ao bing grew protective of you.

• he’d scowl any time you mentioned him. sometimes he’d ask you, “are you sure he’s safe to be around?” to which you’d assure that yunxiang was perfectly fine.

• he would, subtly, try to steer you away from yunxiang—introduce you to people, try to silently encourage you to be friends with literally anyone but his lifelong enemy. despite his attempts, it wouldn’t work.

• ao bing seriously loves how much you’d just attach yourself onto him. it makes him feel warm on the inside that, most likely, he’d never admit to you because he’s too shy to say stuff like that to your face.

• if you show up in his study while he’s doing paperwork and whatnot, he’d sort of just hope that you’d climb onto his lap and stay there until he’s done with whatever he’s doing.

• when you do, almost like instinct, one of his arms would snake around you and his hand would settle on the small of your back, rubbing gentle circles there as you pressed your head against the crook of his neck.

• you just liked the feeling of his warmth seeping into your skin when your bodies come into contact.

li yunxiang

• you were afraid that yunxiang would have found it bothersome, how quiet you were and how often you’d crave to have some kind of physical affection, given your past relationships where your partners broke up with you for that same reason.

• but he really didn’t mind at all!

• especially if you’d catch him by surprise, like subtly locking pinkies under the table, or giving him random backhugs from time to time.

• it’s just a reminder of how much you love and care for him, and he loves that.

• yunxiang mostly likes it when you’d press up against him on the couch or while sleeping together, with his arm thrown around your waist and feeling your muscles immediately loosening as your body made contact.

• “i love you s’much,” yunxiang would mumble before pressing a kiss to your forehead, bringing you into a tight embrace.

• ao bing found himself visiting you more often than usual, because in more recent days, he was in more distress than ever.

• he didn’t want to be engaged, but it wasn’t like he had a choice to begin with, so there was nothing he could do about it. his father was very insistent about keeping their family tree pure with dragon blood, and he made sure to drill that into ao bing’s head throughout his life.

• despite completely understanding where his father was coming from, ao bing just highly disliked the idea of having no freewill in choosing who he could marry. he had never met his fiancé prior to their engagement, and the fact that he had to be wed to a complete stranger gave him a headache.

• no personal, romantic connection with his fiancé whatsoever…and his father expected him to commit to a loveless marriage and remain content with that for the rest of his life? bullshit.

• it was late when he went to visit you, finding you swimming in the ocean like you usually did to relax out of your human form. upon seeing him, you swam up to the shore, to sit beside ao bing, making your mermaid tail immediately change back into a pair of legs.

• “this is the third time you’ve seen me this week,” you remind him in a playful manner to lighten the mood. he wore a frown, like you expected him to, so the least you could do was try and cheer him up a little bit. “is your fiancé really that terrible?”

• “she’s not necessarily terrible,” ao bing says. “it’s the entire situation that is. i mean, how would you like it if your father forced you to marry a complete stranger?”

• “oh, trust me,” you sigh. “i’ve been through many arranged marriages throughout my lifetimes, and they were definitely not fun. i understand what you mean.”

• “at least you understand,” he mutters, bringing his knees close to his chest, allowing himself to be vulnerable in front of you. “my father clearly doesn’t.”

• you scoot slightly closer to him, placing your hand on his back and rubbing gentle circles. “i don’t really have much advice to give, i’m sorry.”

• “it’s okay,” ao bing sighs. “i just wish i’d get married to someone that i actually have a connection to, you know? and not just some random girl i haven’t met up until several days ago.”

• he turns his head very slightly, looking into your eyes for a moment before immediately looking back out into the ocean.

• now is not the time for this, ao bing thinks, heat rising to his cheeks.

• upon hearing that you’re another nezha reincarnation, ao bing doesn’t know what to do about it.

• he’s stumped, stuck in the middle with two routes he can take.

• he’ll ask for some space, and throughout the time you’re distanced from each other, he just thinks and thinks and thinks.

• for one, you’re a very magnificent s/o, in every aspect. very loving, very caring for him, and he appreciated that so much. but, then again, your past selves have literally ripped out his spine/killed him and have caused so much distress.

• and so ao bing digs himself into a deeper hole. he doesn’t want to believe it, so he’s just. in deep, deep denial.

• he’s mostly concerned with what his father would think if he ever got word of this. ao bing knows his father wouldn’t hesitate to have you killed in an instant.

• after a few days, he can’t really stand being alone anymore, so he feels it’s time to finally talk to you.

• you’re the first to talk when he shows up at your door. “hi. you’ve finally come to a decision, i hope?” you ask as you welcome him inside, obvious discontent in his expression.

• “sort of, i guess,” he murmurs, noticeable doubt in his voice. “it’s just—i mean, i love you. you know? just you, being…”

• “nezha?” you finished for him. “is it really that big of a problem, i mean—”

• “i just don’t want my father finding out about this. i’d rather you not be killed, in case you haven’t figured that out. so i’d say, yes, it is a big problem, in a way,” ao bing says, quietly trying to read your expression. “and i’m just surprised you haven’t killed me yet. you’ve killed me in past lifetimes, so i would’ve assumed…”

• “and why do you think i haven’t?” you say in response as you take a step toward him. “because i love you, ao bing, i really do.” you murmur, taking his hand and placing it over where your heart was. “if the situation is that difficult for you, then i understand—”

• “no, i—” he interrupts, pausing to find the right words. “i want to be with you. seriously. i love you.”

a/n: i hope this is fine, lowkey kinda rushed because i’ve had this in my inbox for a bit

• you didn’t really know what to make of li yunxiang at the start.

• despite how often kasha assured that he wasn’t as bad as you thought, you didn’t want to believe it because all you saw was li yunxiang frequently getting into trouble. if anything, he was really just a menace, in your opinion.

• you didn’t go out of your way to talk to him, either, so he was typically the one that would (try) to strike a conversation with you, though his attempts would result in no success whatsoever because you wouldn’t really…cooperate.

• oftentimes his attempts are just due to the fact that he thinks you’re really pretty and wants to get down to the reason why you don’t like him so much.

• he asks kasha about you sometimes, and since you wouldn’t spit out the reason yourself, he has kasha tell him.

• and after learning that the reason why you wouldn’t really cooperate with him was because he was such a troublemaker (and a smuggler at that), li yunxiang tries to…tone it down a bit.

• he’s really desperate to get along with you.

• he tries to make himself more…welcoming when he sees you? makes an effort to smile more, just doing very friendly things in attempt to bring you closer.

• if li yunxiang’s feeling bold enough, he’ll probably bring you flowers or some cheesy shit like that.

• regardless of what you thought of him, the effort was really flattering nonetheless, so you thought you could try and at least be welcoming back, too.

• he was surprised when you actually contributed to the conversation the first time.

• he saw you walking down the street, so—almost like instinct—he went up to you and said, “hi, y/n. whatcha up to?”

• he was expecting for you to ignore him, per usual, but much to his surprise, you say, “nothing. just had to go out and buy some things for dinner later.” you hold up two plastic bags, filled with vegetables and protein.

• “it looks heavy. let me carry it for you,” li yunxiang insists, already taking the bags out of your hands before you can protest.

• “thank you.” you say in a quiet voice, very light heat rushing to your cheeks because of the gesture.

• it was a really nice few minute walk back to your place. you could feel yourself liking him more the more you talked during the way there (the conversation was mostly him talking about his most recent races and motorbike mods, not that you really minded).

• “well, this is me,” you say, eventually stopping in front of an apartment complex. “thank you again for carrying those for me.”

• “it’s no problem, really,” li yunxiang says as he’s handing you back the bags. “it was nice actually talking to you.”

• “it was,” you feel yourself smile. “i’ll see you around, okay?”

• “yeah, i’ll see you,” he says, waving and turning to leave.

• hm, you think to yourself as you watch him leave before going into the building, i guess i really did have the wrong impression on him, after all.

Hello! Hope you're doing well~ Idk if you're still open for Nezha Reborn reqs but I need some Ao Bing content because there's not enough of em hsgdjd. So uh maybe some scenarios or hcs abt him x reader in which the reader is a doctor thats in charge of taking care of his metal spine, at first he finds her nosy (as the spoilt brat he is) but he soon finds her company very calming and actually enjoyable? Esp because he's away from his dad during his checkups

a/n: i hope this is okay!!

• to start off, ao bing’s been through a lot of doctors for his spine, okay.

• mostly due to the fact that they weren’t “good enough” (in ao bing’s opinion) despite already being top-tier doctors.

• so his father hires you later down the line, and.

• and yeah. ao bing is a bit to handle. but you can manage it as you deal with patients like these all the time; it’s nothing new to you.

• anyways, like he usually was towards his doctors, ao bing is just an absolute grump throughout his checkups.

• spoke in a snappy, rude manner, near-permanent scowl on his face, yeah. stuff like that. just him acting like a spoiled rich boy!!! >:((

• despite how much it annoyed you, he was still your patient at the end of the day and you had to keep his health in mind over his attitude.

• he just found you very annoying and bothersome, just overall nearly hated knowing the fact he had to see you every other month.

• you’re literally just doing your job and mans would be like “>:(” every. single. time. you. saw. him.

• eventually, though, ao bing gradually starts to get much more comfortable around you with the more months that pass by. especially in moments of small talk, he begins to realize that you really aren’t as terrible as he thought you were and felt like he can talk to you about things outside of his health.

• the atmosphere between you is very calm and comfortable at this point, even if you can still sense some kind of light boundary around ao bing, it gets better with every passing minute.

• he’d rather listen to you talk about yourself during moments like these because he’d prefer not to dwell or think so much about his personal life.

• occasionally, he’ll allow himself to be vulnerable, but for a short while before completely switching the conversation back to you.

• even though ao bing secretly enjoys your company, he doesn’t try to express it so much, but regardless, you can definitely feel it. :)
