Hey, everyone! I’ve been saying for a bit I want to get some fics from prompts I’ve written onto AO3 but...it’s so hard...ok it’s not hard, Executive Dysfunction is just kicking my butt. I’m going to post some of them to Tumblr today. If you want to help these babies get on AO3, they need: titles, tags, you pestering me in the comments. If you don’t think they’re good enough for AO3 - fair enough, just hit the little heart if they make you smile!
Prompt: Aziraphale reading to Crowley
(Requested by @zadusk and @lyricwritesprose)
“Sorry, can’t help you,” the innkeeper said, “just rented out our last room.”
“What?” Crowley crossed his arms, huffing through his nose. This was Bethlehem all over again. “This town is in the middle of nowhere, it has three inns, how can they all be sold out?”
“I don’t know what to tell you.” The innkeeper shut the ledger. “Everyone’s headed down to London, and we’re on the way. Now. I can offer you a hot meal, and for, let’s say, half the price of a room you can sleep in the stables. The hay loft is clean, apart from the mice—”
“Stablesss!” Crowley hissed, slapping his hand on the counter. “Do I look like someone who sleeps in stables?”
The innkeeper didn’t appear remotely impressed. “You look like someone who is going to be sleeping in a hedge. Looks like a storm tonight. Good evening.” And he spun away, calling out to the cook in the back room.
“Oi!” Crowley shouted. “Get back here, you—!”
“Crowley! Whatever are you doing here?” The familiar voice was half delighted, half scolding. Aziraphale appeared beside him, same white suit as the last time they’d met, top hat tucked under his arm. “I thought I made it clear we shouldn’t see each other so often. Since I opened the shop, it’s been—”
“Yes, I know.” Crowley waved a hand and turned away. “I’m not here for you, Angel, I have actual business in York.”
“Really?” Despite his words, Aziraphale trailed behind him. “How interesting. I’m just returning from York – oh, no, you don’t think they’ve sent you to undo all my work again, do you?”
Crowley snorted. “No bet.” He dropped his voice into a low whisper. “This is why we need to meet up more often. Look at all this time we’re wasting! And now I have to march through the bloody night in the rain because there’s no place to sleep—”
“Oh! Well, I wouldn’t dream of it. You can share my room.”
“Ngk?!” Crowley’s brain crashed into his skull with all the speed and grace of a train wreck. “Mf. Yk. No I can’t – Aziraphale!”
“Oh, my word – obviously, I’m not planning – that!” His voice dropped even lower and he tugged on Crowley’s elbow. “Don’t be crude, dear fellow. I have a room with a bed that I’m not intending to use. You can have it. I just need a chair to sit in while I read.”
“Jgk.” Crowley turned away, taking a deep breath through his nose. It made sense. He could sleep. Aziraphale could read. No getting soaked, or lost in the dark, or needing to fight off highwaymen or anything of the sort. “Fffine. We can. Er. Do that.”
“Jolly good.” He could practically hear the angel straightening his waistcoat. “Now that’s settled. I’ve already had my supper and was about to head up. Unless you’re hungry—”
“No, no, now is fine.” He still couldn’t quite meet Aziraphale’s eyes. “Lead the way.”
The room, it turned out, was nearly as advertised.
A double-sized bed with a straw-tick and a quilt. A little stand with a pitcher of water and bowl for washing up. Windows that could be tightly shuttered to block out some of the city noise.
The only thing missing, really, was the chair.
“Oh.” Aziraphale’s fingers tapped on his book and he glanced around, as if a seat might be hiding in the corner. “Well, er…”
“It’s fine. I can leave.” Crowley turned on his heel and reached for the latch.
“Absolutely not! I won’t hear of it. You get settled and I’ll – ah – I’ll miracle in a chair.” He peered around the narrow room. “Somewhere.”
“Look, I can—”
“No. Miracle yourself a nightgown or whatever it is you need.”
“I—”
“Hush!”
Resigning himself, Crowley waved his clothes into something more comfortable for sleeping and crawled under the blanket. It was…slightly better than sleeping in the stables, he supposed. The straw was lumpy and the sheet covering it coarse, but the pillow was well-stuffed with goose-down, a luxury he could get used to. He shifted onto his back, trying to find a comfortable angle.
Instead, he found Aziraphale, standing beside the bed, staring blankly at the wall. “There…well…it would appear there isn’t room for a chair,” he confessed. “Not one that will fit my, er…my current corporation comfortably, that is.”
Crowley looked at the ceiling. He could sleep up there, but it would mean abandoning the pillow. Or. Or.
“Look, Angel,” he said as casually as he could. You can, um, you can sit on the bed. I’m not going to be offended or anything. It’s fine.”
“No, I couldn’t – couldn’t possibly—”
“Aziraphale. It’s really fine.”
The quilt tugged, folded back, and with a rustle of straw Aziraphale settled into the mattress. He sat straight, stiff, and so close to the edge he might topple off.
Even so, he was alarmingly close.
“You, um. You need the candle?”
“No, my own light will be sufficient, thank you.”
“Yeah. Obviously.” Crowley tossed his glasses onto the little table and waved a finger at the candle, which immediately snuffed out, leaving the room dark except for the soft glow of Aziraphale, gently illuminating his book.
Crowley closed his eyes and prepared to fall asleep.
He turned onto one side. No good, too close to the edge.
He turned the other way, or started to, freezing when he felt how close the angel’s warmth was.
Then he lay on his back again. The whole room fell very, very still.
“Bless it, Aziraphale, will you relax?”
“I beg your pardon?”
“I can practically hear your muscles creaking. How am I supposed to all asleep with all that – that tension barely six inches away!”
“I don’t know what you might be referring to. I am – am perfectly relaxed here, reading my book and you – you interrupt with these – these pointless accusations.”
Crowley gave up and turned on his side, facing Aziraphale, giving him as hard a stare as he could manage. “Your book is upside down, Angel.”
“Is it?” He swallowed. “I mean, of course it is. I am training myself to read upside-down text, a highly useful skill, which I’m sure—”
Crowley shut his eyes. “This was a terrible idea.” He sat up, swinging his legs off the bed.
“Where are you going?”
“Look, Aziraphale, neither of us is actually comfortable with this. So I’m just going to head out. If I leave now, I might make it to the next town before the rain starts, and maybe they’ll have a room. You can have this one and—”
“Crowley,” he said, voice much softer than expected. “My dear fellow. I won’t be able to relax knowing you’re out there. I know you won’t be in – in any real danger but…I would rather know that you’re safe.”
He stared ahead, sitting perfectly still in the way that only beings who aren’t really alive can – no breath, no heartbeat, no tiny motions.
Then, slowly, Crowley pulled his legs back under the quilt and lay on his back.
“What’s this book about, anyway?” he asked.
“Aren’t you supposed to be sleeping?”
“It’ll help. Trust me. What is it – poetry? Ancient epics about glorious wars? Not Hamlet again, I hope, that play is a gloomy mess of—”
“No, nothing of the sort. It’s…well, it’s a sort of love story.”
That didn’t sound too bad. “Sort of?”
“Well, yes, it’s more a – a study of the manners and traditions of courtship. Our heroine is the second of five sisters, and there’s a great deal riding on finding them suitable husbands, but her choices are, well…not especially appealing.”
“Does she tell them to go jump in a lake?”
“Not in so many words,” Aziraphale said disapprovingly. “But yes, she has so far turned down two proposals quite bitingly. Although I think she was a bit hasty in her judgement of one of the young men.”
“I like it.” Crowley turned to look at Aziraphale, and found the angel had relaxed, and moved just a little closer. “What’s it called, anyway?”
“Pride and Prejudice.” His fingers tapped against it. “Just released last year. I must try and find the author’s other work when I finish.”
“Well, you’ll have to tell me how it ends.”
“Oh, are you…interested?”
“Hmm,” Crowley settled his head a little further into the pillow. “I do like a good drawing room drama. Perhaps I should pick out a few dresses and spend a year or two back in those circles.”
“As I recall, you were always deceitful and wicked and caused many a scandal.”
“I should hope so. Otherwise, what’s the point?”
Aziraphale smiled down at him, and it made Crowley feel light-headed in a way that had nothing to do with sleep. “Then I imagine you’ll be brilliant at it.” He suddenly turned away, looking at the shuttered window. “Oh! Do you hear that? The rain has started.” The first drops were tapping against the shutters fitfully.
“Good thing I didn’t go out.”
“Yes.” Aziraphale looked at the book again. “Er, would you like me to…to read it to you? Just the first part, until you fall asleep.”
“I…” Crowley cleared his throat. “Yeah. I mean, your voice puts me to sleep half the time anyway, so…”
“Oh, yes, absolutely wonderful. Let me just get the first volume.” He hopped out of bed and hurried over to his jacket, rummaging in the pocket to pull out another hardcover book. When he returned to the bed, it was with almost no self-consciousness, wriggling comfortably against his pillow only a few inches away from Crowley.
“Now, let’s see…yes, here. ‘It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife…’”
It was strange, seeing the angel from this angle, round face slightly lit by his own glow, little smile curving up his lips as the words bubbled out excitedly. His voice rose and fell as he read, trying to paint a picture of Longbourne and Netherfield and the lives of the Bennet sisters. Crowley could get used to it, the look, the sound, the soft familiarity of it all. Not that he was likely to have an opportunity.
He didn’t close his eyes. Not yet.
--
“‘But I can assure you,’ she added,” Aziraphale was quite enjoying the voice he had chosen for Mrs. Bennet, raising it now in slightly erratic excitement. “‘that Lizzy does not lose much by not suiting his fancy; for he is a most disagreeable, horrid man, not at all worth pleasing.’” He shifted again, raising his arm to better articulate the dialogue. “‘So high and so conceited that there was no enduring him! He walked here, and he walked there, fancying himself so very great! Not handsome enough to dance with!’” He dropped his voice into a vicious hiss. “‘I wish you had been there, my dear, to have given him one of your set downs. I quite detest the man.’”
He glanced to his left, grinning, hoping to see Crowley’s reaction to his bit of acting, but the demon had at some point fallen asleep. He lay half on his back, still facing Aziraphale, shock of red hair across the white pillow. His mouth hung slightly open and something emerged that was almost a snore, but rather too small to really qualify. It was drowned out by the wind and rain outside, rattling the shutters. Now and then, in the distance, thunder rumbled.
“Well. I suppose…yes, you sleep now.” Aziraphale turned to put the book down, thinking to find the second volume and pick up where he’d left off.
“Nf.” Crowley turned onto his side, one arm flinging out towards Aziraphale’s waist. “D’n stp,” he mumbled. “Jus’ gettn gud.”
“Er, are you…awake?” The arm tightened slightly, and Crowley pulled closer, pressing himself against Aziraphale’s side. “Crowley, er, dear…you’re…”
“M’fine.” He sighed, not seeming aware of the world at all. “S’nice.”
For a long moment, Aziraphale stared at the demon who had – had invaded his space. Had settled against him in a most – most awkward and undignified way.
Well. There was really only one thing to do.
Aziraphale slid a little lower against the pillow, until he’d surrounded Crowley in the crook of his arm. “Is that better, dear?”
“St’ry.” But he settled into that space between Aziraphale’s side and his arm with a content sigh, arm now draped across the angel’s chest.
Oh, dear. This is not going to be easy to explain when he wakes up. But that wouldn’t be for several hours, at least, and right now, there was a very small smile on Crowley’s lips.
“Well. Chapter four. ‘When Jane and Elizabeth were alone, the former, who had been cautious in her praise of Mr. Bingley before, expressed to her sister how very much she admired him…’”
--
Thanks for reading! Pride and Prejudice was initially published in three volumes, in 1813, attributed simply to “The Author of Sense and Sensibility.” I have no idea what was going on in York in 1814 - I mostly needed someplace they could walk to but would take several days - so feel free to attribute whatever historical events you can think of to these dummies!

I feel like this is to assure myself and no one else.
It has recently come to my attention that real people actually read this blog.
That sounds a little stupid, given that I religiously advertise it on both Snapchat and Instagram, but there was a part of me that assumed it would fly over the heads of most (see: all) people. And it's inherently contradictory, but I did not think a Real Person would take time out of their lives to read my utterly irrelevant musings.
I am terribly grateful to my friends and then some for deeming me important enough to click into this site. I am thankful for their validation when they don't just do it silently, lurking amidst the sans serif. One quoted my own words back at me in ALL CAPS, another sent me a video zooming in on my disgruntled face on the sidebar, and more mention it casually in passing conversation, jolting me into the reality that yes, this is A Thing.
But as I laid in bed and typed up the post two days ago, I'm suddenly reminded of why I rarely made my writing public.
I sound like an ungrateful little shit, and I'm truly happy whenever someone mentions The Thing (i just don't like the word blog), and I want to share The Thing with the world because it's a little scary thinking about how all your time and effort and words and emotion could be lost somewhere in the void, like an unread letter that's wandered off the post-trail, but.
Writing digs into the most vulnerable flesh of your heart and mind. I recently saw a quote, "We are writers, my love. We don't cry, We bleed on paper." And there are variations of this quote from others: "I don't think all writers are sad. I think it's the other way around: all sad people write;" "I didn't write it down to build a poem. I wrote it down because that is what I do with the things that unravel me. I drag them across a page."
I don't mean for this to take a maudlin turn, but writing is a salve for aches in the soul. I'm by no means a writer, but I like to think I write (s/o to my soulmate, jackson wang, who said, "i'm not a rapper...i just rap). And sometimes, sharing what I've "dragged across the page" is turning my skin inside out.
I'm definitely more comfortable with sharing my vulnerability through words on a sheet of paper (or words on a WordPad document) than through words spoken to another Real Person.
In my junior year of high school, I sat in a hotel room in Sacramento with words stuck behind my clenched teeth. It was the most peculiar feeling, like if I loosened my jaw, I would vomit the words from my chest and they would tumble off the bedsheets and onto the floor, staining the hotel carpet. But the tension never snapped, and I scrawled them onto a torn sheet of paper instead.
Even now, I express the deepest parts of my emotions through letters. I think a large part of it is because I don't want to see the emotions unfold on someone's face. It's not that I don't want to see them, but I don't think I--this emotionally constipated individual--am capable of responding to them in a way that's not, "Uh. Yeah. Okay. Lol bye." And I feel like that's just not appropriate or sufficient in some circumstances. Better to just avoid the potentially awkward situation.
(yes this is not the most mature way to deal with emotions but spare me the lecture.)
And so, when I am writing, and not saying words at someone's face, I pull out the most intimate intricacies of my heart and twist them into phrases and sentences. And I like to do it without a filter.
But when I was writing these past few days, I was conscious of an audience. I began crafting sentences through the lens of what would this specific person think of this and oh my god what if this person reads this and fuck it ok just kidding we can't just fuck it sos. It was a dangerous balance between editing and re-editing and declaring, "Fuck the world, I write for me, and I'm going to write recklessly and with abandon."
This the main crux of the problem: there is me, the person that you know and talk to and maybe have grown up with, and then there is me, the person who spits words out onto The Thing. And sometimes the two me's mesh perfectly like a pattern overlaid on another to produce an image, and sometimes they don't.
It's kind of like when you go clubbing with a childhood friend for the first time, and you've only known them as the youth group-going, favorite child of all Asian parents, and then y'all are in the club and damn okay they just took seven shots in a row.
(I'm not speaking from personal experience.)
There is a moment of reckoning when you try to reconcile two facets of a person.
(Or maybe this is a me problem, but bear with me here.)
A few months ago, I took a trip with two of my closest friends to San Diego, to visit the college town where one of them spent four incredibly formative years. It was fun and beautiful and very, very disorienting, because in my egocentric point of view, I had forgotten that we lived these four years separately. Suddenly, he was introducing to me a different life, a different history that I wasn't part of, and I couldn't help but feel like I was sitting in the passenger seat of a stranger's car, listening to a crude imitation of a familiar playlist.
The feeling began somewhere on the 5 freeway, when he navigated the unfamiliar lanes with a practiced ease, and swelled as the sun set and he told stories about Mount Soledad and him and his friends.
And it was weird, because I felt like an intruder, even though I had been invited into his memories, and the unease took shape as silence and stilted words until he asked, "Are you okay? You seem weird." And the feeling was spilling onto the back of my hands as I gripped the skirt of my dress, but I couldn't beat it into words, so I unclenched my fists and fastened my seatbelt and choked out a, "Nah, I'm just tired."
I think I'm still in the process of working through this reckoning. It doesn't happen for all of my friends, and it's not always so discomforting. Sometimes, I scroll through Instagram pages with a sort of curious hunger to fill the years I’ve missed, and other times, I take the new information, file it as: Yeah okay, I could've predicted that. But then, there are the times where I can only search someone's face in silence, lump in my throat as I rewind our histories and try to find where one of them snagged and became out of sync.
The different facets of the self should, all in all, unveil the most authentic self. The more you get to know a person, the more you really know a person. I imagine it like you're building a three-dimensional sculpture, and with each new piece of information, you add another bit of plaster to it. Yet, I sometimes lose sight of what I'm trying to build, and when I see the blueprint again, I realize I've veered wildly off course. It's scary, every time I run into a moment like this, because it's like the person I knew, the friend I've had for a decade, was actually just someone I created in my mind, a person who overlapped at the edges with the Real Person, but ultimately, were not the same. And when the illusion disappears, I'm left with a stranger.
I'm exaggerating, but.
I'm a little scared this is what you will feel as you read this. I'm scared there will be no separation between the writer and the writing, and although writing reveals the deepest, most intimate parts of a person, is it really the authentic self? It's only a slice, a slice I had cut with carefully chosen words.
So I want to assure you, if you are someone like me who thinks they view the world on a wide-angle lens but really, only through a slit, and you are someone like me who reels when the cover is yanked away and you're left staggering through the new vista, that every sentence is a part of me, but who you know and who you talk to and who you message is a larger piece of me. And maybe we will never get to know each other fully, because that kind of privilege is saved for but a few, that doesn't make either of us any less authentic.
I sometimes wonder what character development looks like in the real world. When I was a sophomore in high school, I cringed so hard when my favorite English teacher tried to use my essay as an example in class that he almost immediately pulled it out from underneath the Elmo projector and used someone else's. In freshman year of college, I wanted to join a creative writing club, but after realizing that I wouldn't be able to submit my work for peer-editing anonymously, I banished that notion. Yet, for some reason, in my senior year, I decided I wanted to take a fiction writing course. On the day of my first workshop, my hands shook so much that I had to sit on them to stop trembling.
In the beginning of the class, I, myself, had a very difficult time separating the writing from the writer. I think especially in an intro class, students use facets of their own life to create fiction. I think even advanced writers do the same, because ultimately everything you write is you. And I did my fair share of speculation--why did she write about a sibling rivalry does she have a sister, hey did this guy study abroad in hong kong with you because he wrote about that, and huh i wonder if she grew up in florida this is beautiful.
It's the kind of speculation we do with the Greats. Did Shakespeare write Hamlet for his son, Hamnet? Who was Sonnet 18 written for? Was Shakespeare gay? Because see, in this one bit, he wrote.....
(i was a very bored AP lit student ok)
It's the same kind of speculation my friend did when she finished listening to a new song by Crush and said, "Oh, he must be dating." Or the speculation all the YouTube comments had when Jon Cozart and Dodie Clark released duo songs titled "Tourist: A Love Song from Paris" and "a non love song from nashville." It's the kind of speculation you do when you are given a slice of someone's soul, and suddenly, you want to understand the whole thing.
But that kind of scrutiny is uncomfortable. We're okay with doing it to Shakespeare, because the dude's dead. We're okay with doing it to big name artists because hello, Crush is not going to hear my friend talking about him. We're less okay with doing it in the public realm of YouTube comments because they are read by the content creators who explicitly said, "pls don't speculate." We are even less okay with doing it to our peers, and we are not okay with other people doing it to us. Okay, maybe I should just speak for myself.
My trajectory in that fiction writing class was backward. My first story was about a white male living in New Jersey. My last story was about a Chinese American woman who used to live in the suburbs of Los Angeles.
It wasn't planned.
It's as if my subconsciousness drew up barriers the minute I stepped into that classroom, and wrote a story as far removed from who I am as possible.
Because really, who is going to think that the gas jockey with a hunger for divine power is me?
(sike.)
But I guess character development is becoming okay with vulnerability and with potential speculation, and as I wrote, I began writing closer and closer to the heart, pulling the words from the east coast to the west.
When the last workshop rolled around, I was calm, sitting at one of those awful, plasticky chairs with tiny, useless desks attached to one arm. I was neither defensive nor uncomfortable, like I thought I would be, just at peace and humbled as I listened to my classmates discuss the craft of my writing.
And I think that's the ultimate lesson: once you write something, or create something, and release out into the wild, it no longer belongs to you. It's an argument I used to make in my art history class, but it's an argument that John Green often makes when his readers ask him about the meaning behind his books.
I don't quite mean it like he does, when he says, "Books belong to their readers." I think that before the writing is consumed by the reader, it is its own entity, existing independently of both writers and readers. And when it is eventually taken up by the reader, the writer shouldn't feel a sense of possessiveness or vulnerability or fear about the content.
And shit, that really fucks up my other thing about trees falling in forests but anyways.
There are a load of other things I have to consider when suddenly, the dumb spools of thoughts in my brain become free content for the Internet. Like, privacy rights? Am I allowed to talk about this one thing my unnamed friend said, but wait, you can definitely tell who it is, oh fuuuuuu-. At what point is it oversharing? Do I get to decide the line between okay and TMI, or does me declaring that I am writing this for myself mean there is no line?
But, in the end, I just want to say thank you.
I’m really used to, as I’m sure many people are, presenting just one facet of my whole self to people. Every individual has a number of different roles, and each role comes with its own set of rules and norms. The sociological part of me says that this discomfort I’m feeling has a lot to do with the breaking down of norms. There is a certain playbook people go by when they lower their barriers, but this circumvents that.
And honestly, maybe I’m just thinking too much into it and all of this is for naught, but it was cathartic writing this all out, even if I had to take two very lengthy breaks to get my thoughts in order.
(just kidding, one of them was to watch Kingdom season 1).
There are so many things I am grateful for, and I fear that in the past week, I have been battling bad vibes and have forgotten how incredibly privileged I am.
So, here is List 16 of The 52 List Project (that my friend made me start legit in 2016 and I'm still on list 17)

I’d like to talk about Graham for a little bit.
About a month and a half ago, this thing just sort of spontaneously happened that was on the order of the old Jerry Lewis telethons, raising an absolutely jaw-dropping amount of money for an organization called Mermaids, which is great and absolutely deserves to have it. I should clarify before anything further too that I’m using “spontaneously happened” here only to mean absolutely nobody involved had any possible idea that it was going to become the huge thing it became, not that it didn’t do so because of a lot of really impressive work, mainly from Casey Explosion and Dan Olson who both ended up playing producer as guests started hopping in and did phenomenal jobs they can’t get enough credit for.
I am, of course, quite thrilled to see how well that went, particularly since just something like a week prior I’d independently tried to start a charity drive for Mermaids which was... decidedly unsuccessful. And I came oddly close to getting properly involved in this one, because around the time it was at the $1000 mark, “guests” were mainly just people I’m personally friends with and haven’t talked to in a while, I was talking about joining in, but the timing of me getting hold of a microphone and a quiet room and guest coordination shook out weird and I lost my place in line to like, Chelsea Manning and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who I will freely admit were bigger donation draws than me talking to old friends and sharing info about trans charities and transphobic groups trying to undermine them would have been.
One thing I’d have liked to have brought up is the other thing that made the whole event a bit bittersweet, personally. The whole thing was explicitly advertised as existing purely to spite one Graham Linehan, who rather infamously had spearheaded an initiative to undermine funding for Mermaids because these days he is a cartoon villain and defunding a children’s charity was the sort of thing he’s all about now. And I’m saying “now” and “these days” because I have kind of a weird history with Graham. Once upon a time, he was my biggest fan.
No, really. If you don’t believe me, go do a quick twitter search for him mentioning me. It’s a bit surreal to look back on. It was weird to live through at the time too. He started following me at a point where I had something like 10 other twitter followers, and was just super super pumped about literally everything I was writing about, you know, the rise of this group of transphobic fascists weaponizing twitter mobs. I’d start writing something and he’d just pop up in my DMs. Which... OK now it’s weird because I’m the last person the arguable king of all transphobes should be following, but at the time it was also weird because he hadn’t gotten into that and was this famous TV writer.
So first of all, it just sends a chill down my spine any time I see him talking about having trans friends who like him just fine and wondering if he’s still trying to count me there. Because I mean, the last time I actually talked to him it was pretty damn civil. Mainly because I was trying to make a calm rational case explaining that he’d just linked horrifyingly bigoted propaganda out, but I could see him grasping for that straw.
Those prior interactions color the whole thing for me in a really tragic light though. Usually, when you see someone who did a thing you enjoy(ed) tear their face off and reveal a disgusting monster, you get to go “ugh, I can’t believe I never picked up on what a creep this person was the whole time!” but... I personally don’t have that luxury here. At the point I knew him, I can actually say he was a decent, caring guy, willing to stick his neck out in a big big way for worthy causes. He promoted the hell out of everything I wrote for a while, and elevated the voices of a ton of other trans women and other marginalized people under attack from nazis. He really went all in with a pretty big media platform against that crap at a time where it wasn’t especially popular or safe to do so, and he campaigned about as hard as was humanly possible to repeal Ireland’s abortion ban, sharing some really horrifying personal stories which I’d probably still dig out when trying to argue the subject if it wouldn’t be giving oxygen to such a huge bigot. And for whatever it’s worth, that infamous I.T. Crowd episode? Some 6 years after the fact he really was self-conscious about that still, and just sort of... approaching every trans woman he knew one by one to try to explain where he was coming from with it. Which of course is not at all the same thing as apologizing for it, but presumably had he stayed that course, he’d have maybe grabbed some sensitivity readers before the next such bit went to air.
So yeah. My honest assessment of where he was at in late 2014 through early 2015 there is... well-intentioned guy with some blind spots legitimately trying to be a better person and work towards some general trans allyship...
... and then he just suddenly pulled this complete 180, and it’s one of the most chilling things I’ve ever seen. From my perspective, it was like being in a zombie movie where someone gets bit. First they’re fine, then you see a big ol’ red flag (I don’t recall whether the first such was him going to bat for the serial abuser creep we just finally kicked out of tabletop or him linking a post on freaking 4th wave now), and you have this little window of maybe we can cut off the infection before it spreads, and that fails and suddenly you’ve just got this shambling monster wearing the face of a former ally in the fight against them. I suppose a more grounded metaphor would be like comparing it to someone you know joining a cult. every value they had is suddenly gone and they’re just removing themselves from all their old circles to hang out exclusively with these dangerous creeps.
I can’t stress enough that this isn’t me saying “there’s still good in him.” Dude’s out there getting the police showing up at his door because he won’t stop harassing random women and literally organizing letter-writing campaigns to cut the funding to a charity that keeps marginalized children from killing themselves. That is way too far over the cliff to entertain any notion of someone ever crawling back. No my point in all this that moral consistency isn’t anywhere near as solid as people like to tell themselves it is. People can go from vehement anti-fascism to full on fascist over a single conversation with the right recruiter on the right day and there’s really nothing you can do about it but hope you recognize it before your denial starts to amplify the damage.
At least I sure as hell hope there’s nothing else you can do about it because again, this guy was literally my biggest fan before he suddenly flipped, and I don’t want to have to second guess myself about what part of me saying “fascism is bad and trans people don’t deserve this sort of harassment” was sufficiently unclear that a guy hanging on my every word for like a year could get all backwards.
This really isn’t a story with a feel-good moral at the end. I mean, the best spin I can put on it is, moral compasses can break, so be sure to pull yours out regularly and double check that it’s still pointing north, don’t just follow the person ahead of you and assume theirs is working? Make sure you’re familiar with a definition of fascism that doesn’t rely on what costumes someone’s wearing? Bear in mind that the oppressed minority turning out to be the real bullies is just not a thing that happens? Just... don’t ever be like Graham here.

When the clothes do come off
When the clothes do come off, it can be damn lucrative: Domino estimates she hauls in around $US300 on a good day — although a bad day is zero dollars, and hours wasted. But it's enough for her to be completely self-sufficient, albeit weary of the whole thing sometimes. More concerning though are the handful of "true creeps" she runs into — the gents who aren't just pervs, but sexual threats. That's never OK, but the rest of the time, occasional criminals aside, the job sounds downright leisurely. Are there misconceptions about webcamming that you want to bust?Domino has it pretty good — an American with ample property and a cushy career based on sex she enjoys. Not everyone is Domino. It is true that when I am up on stage I feel powerful. In my 7-inch heels and latex leotards and frilly skirts, my body feels beautiful in a way that I don’t see it in everyday life, and I feel confident and empowered. When the music comes on, I go with it, when I dance it is natural and it’s fun. The money is ultimately what I am here for, but this isn’t just something I do just to pay the rent. This is my art, and whilst I am making myself sexually desirable, nobody can objectify me, as I hold that power. I am in control, because I objectify myself, if you like.
Is Sandy Bell a victim? She says she is not, though feminists such as Irina Ilisei say the question is more complicated than it seems. Not all models work from a studio. Sandy Bell - a graduate with two university degrees - is one of a small army of women who webcam from home. She makes about 100 euros (£90) a day when she goes online to supplement her income as an interior designer. One advantage of being independent - and dealing directly with a web-hosting company - is that she earns a larger percentage of members' fees."There are girls who think they will just stay in front of the camera and make money. But all the things they do there will affect their minds. The next step is prostitution. I see that now."It depends on the profile that you set up because when you make a profile, you write a little bio about yourself, and my bio might be seen as a little more ‘out there'. I'm open to anything, like roleplay, so a lot of the time I get roleplay requests, more just because I find them fun no matter how unusual or bizarre they are. What excites me are uncommon and unusual requests that you wouldn't really come across. Life's too boring otherwise”
"There are advertisements on university campuses," says Ilisei. "Students get direct Facebook messages with offers of work. And the studios are very corporate - exactly like an entry-career job in other fields. The language is all about empowering young women, being independent, learning skills, even getting bonuses if you convince your friends to try it too."Each network will ask you to fill out a brief bit of biographical information — list your interests, and try to sound fun — and then check a box or pull down a menu saying that you're 18 or above. You'll need to submit some sort of identification proving your age, but with standards low, laws international, and documents scanned, forging such a thing is a cinch, making underage cam girls a real problem. You’d think that all an Insta celeb has to do is look hot, but it’s actually a full time job. Ona Artist posts new photos every day and does a week of photoshoots every month. She manages all her social media and built her own website. The way her business model works is that she advertises on Instagram and from there, people can go to her private site and cam with her naked. On Instagram, because of censorship restrictions, you can’t see her nude. So, the more you want from her, the more you pay, and the more explicit it gets. It's just like any other online business, really. To investigate, I visited the biggest camming studio in the US, Studio 20 in Hollywood. A lot of times, when you sign onto a popular cam site, or when you’re on a porn site and a camming ad pops up, it looks like the girls are camming from their bedrooms. Actually, though, a lot of the time, they’re camming from studios like Studio 20 that are basically these buildings filled with rooms decorated like bedrooms.

Board Kings Cheats
Board Kings Guide
Tumblr media
Board Kings guide has been released. No, i'll never improve in the sport, but i won't be throwing cash away both. Wait until you take gain of a so-known as bonus buy! Non existent custom carrier. Do not want to believe it? Take a look at out the comments on their fb web page at some point of an occasion. I will be taken aback if this overview gets posted due to the fact many, many customers are taking advantage of their bonus packages and getting nothing but a receipt. Me covered. I in no way would have given this type of cute sport one megastar however they deserved it this christmas. Your turn is coming lower back and you must thru the cube to recognise your subsequent vacation spot. Every time you'll be throwing the cube, matters will start to trade and we're certain which you are not aware of the modifications and feeling that everything is complicated. Each time you'll be throwing the dice; your wide variety could be indicating the quantity of movements your character could be transferring. In addition, every block will reward you with some of Coins. So after contacting customer support, they answered per week later asking me to send a receipt of my purchase because it wasn't in their gadget? Bizarre, it changed into on my bank statement and apple account. I speedy sent them my receipt and nevertheless haven't heard lower back. Perhaps in any other week they'll reply? Ok so i re downloaded the game and got my development returned ——————————————————————————————normal fantastic sport but i got here back to this game and it logged me in as a new char meter known as "mike" i deleted the sport and i am approximately to re download it and notice if it helps but to date i am mad and concerned approximately getting my account back also i used to be a truely a excessive lvl.... it is so worrying motive why give them to me if i can't even use them??? I use to like this recreation however at this factor i just play it from time to time to okay*** some loose time over again, i amassed over 125 (saves) and become never given my reward rolls. Smh. Thoughts you, i paid $5 to get them. All of this is a advertising and marketing ploy on the way to get you to spend money. I fell in love with this sport when i first began playing, however now i am not so positive. This game may be very addictive!! My fiancé and i play and visit each different's boards and scouse borrow Coins. The handiest downfall we see to this point is that the rolls take for all time to construct lower back up. Attempted twice to improve a building: the sport takes Coins and does not upgrade something. Learn to code! This has been taking place to me more than one instances when i try to do in app buy. It shows $3.ninety nine in app, but on my card it shows $14.forty two each time i tried to get it!! I have no different troubles with any of the other video games i play, but there is usually something incorrect with this one. With the santa occasion coming to an cease soon i've been looking to do my forty rolls. I can not stay on the sport long enough to even get half manner through. Also very dissatisfied with the reality that i reacted santa however now i have to acquire extra carrots to refill his bag!? Impossible, mainly on the grounds that i can't even play the game. I've tried to contact the sport builders but it appears to move no in which. Maybe a negative evaluate will get interest. After the current replace, it deleted all my facts. I spent tons of cash in the sport and purchased many land marks and leveled up to the museum board. Got here returned to the sport to finish the bunny easter task and the game might not open in any respect. Consent crashes and when it does load it takes me through the tutorial and first board. If there may be handiest one roll of the dice on the way to s**** you be assured you may roll it each unmarried time. A reasonably uninteresting game initially, it doesn't need to hide you continuously too. I roll 60+ times and may not land at the tile designed for the mini game sufficient to even get midway to the prize. This is with hitting the right spot once i do land of the tile. But i will hit some random nothing tile over a dozen times. They're shown as houses, and every unmarried one of them can be upgraded. Now, although a few ask greater Coins for an upgrade, all of them give you the equal quantity of Coins. For example, upgrading normal tiles to level 2 will supply five extra Coins for stepping onto the tile. So, improve inexpensive tiles first, and only after all the reasonably-priced ones are upgraded proceed with upgrading the relaxation. This way, you'll earn more Coins considering that there will be greater upgraded tiles at the board, and could, at the long run, upgrade all everyday tiles faster. I emailed and messaged on facebook and nothing changed into ever constant. I think there must be a restriction on how many Coins you may scouse borrow. I used to be saving up Coins, than some one stole 73,000 Coins from me. I was essentially only left with more or less 5,000. i locate this very unfair, i was so close to deleting the app after this. It might be fine if whilst you had an problem and had to contact "assist" that they in reality were given lower back too you! This game isn't worth it. The developers can not even get the sport to load for days on give up. Do yourself a desire- download another game. This game become a laugh however now it is now not. I don't like the reality that people can thieve your cash because i had one hundred,000 stored up to repair my board and when i logged on i best had one coin left. It's not amusing to me because of that and if i shop up again they'll simply steal it once more and that frustrates me loads. So sad :( like the sport it is a first-rate time passer however one it looks like it takes for all time to gain your cube four in an hour appears sluggish but maybe it's carried out that way so you purchase extra. What i hate maximum about their game and i assume others have touched on is that why is it viable to your Coins to be stolen so normally in this sort of short time. I am no longer sure why you have to be robbed with the aid of four unique human beings inside the spans of an hour. But after i go to do so, i can only upgrade two homes bc i failed to land on some thing unique. I simply think including mini video games could add a new detail on how you can gain more of the critical gadgets you need to transport forward :) code:380-709-706 on multi participant when i visit a pals base after the 2d or 3rd roll you instantly land on a cop. Aside from that it is a decent sport. I lost my previous board when they had little glitch the other day, now i have to start all over, i have spent a lot of time on this game and i was connected with fb it had my picture and everything, i'm really annoyed, this is ridiculous, i have spent countless hours on this game and have spent money... stay clear of this game and if you do play do not spend money, their little so called glitches seem to happen when an event is ending so the people super close to winning the prize don't get it because when the glitch is fixed the event is over! The fact that your Coins can be stolen while actively playing. If a player occupies a tile you have to land on that tile and there is no other way to unlock it. The last two issues prevent progress at points. Love the game! A bit obsessed with it actually . Already spent my real money! I'm a bit upset about the update though. No matter how much i roll i almost like never get any christmas cards. If i were landing on more then i would purchase rolls. I was enjoying this game when all of a sudden i had to start all over again. It's frustrating when you have to go back from the start! So i lost my interest in playing it. 😒😩 i try to login and play this morning with my morning tea, after having won a boat load of rolls, Gems, and Coins during the night for being in the highest upgrade tier, only to see the "server isn't responding." Fix it. This is reeaaallllly disappointing. While the game is fun to play, it steals your Coins. My daughter was playing and i came up on her coin king twice in a row. It told her she stole about 78k from me twice. But it told me she stole 1.57m and 457k. Where did my Coins go if she didn't get them???? I don't mind if someone steals them a a part of the game but this is not what is happening!! The developers are just stealing the Coins in hope that you will buy in their store. It was a timed event and i knew right away that i needed to get ahold of someone. Well my 2 claim tickets about the same glitch were never responded to so finally i had to contact apple for my refund because not only am i frustrated that i never received day 2 but i was completely blocked from day 3 sale only for the event to end before anybody tried assisting me. I will not be purchasing anything anymore from this developer. Please fix! Thanks for such a great game. It's amazing. Fun and time consuming. The only problem is i never have enough rolls. And i can't get anymore. It's making me upset. This game is the best game ever! Not super time consuming, fun to play with friends, and a great way to relax after a long day! There's no game that's similar either! Make sure to like their facebook for giveaways too! Love this game! So easy to catch on and much faster than monopoly!! This game doesn't deserve a full 5 stars but if possible i would give it 4 and a half stars. Board Kings is awesome, but there is one problem your run out of "rolls". Almost every game now has "energy" or "hearts" or "rolls" etc... so you have to wait to get the "rolls". Some people on these reviews say 1 star because you run out of rolls but it's not that bad they are over exaggerating. Somebody also said i spent $50 dollars on this game and it didn't really make a difference. Also, the chase continues after our exciting sticker album, with new and super exclusive prizes for completing sets! Also, the chase continues after our exciting sticker album, with new and super exclusive prizes for completing sets! Are you an avid tiktok user? Or perhaps a business owner interested to use tiktok for social media marketing? Here are the top 8 tiktok stats you should know in 2020: warning, they'll surprise you! In this video, professional skater bri, for appgrooves, tells users about an app called riders that lets skateboarders make impressive tricks learnable, such as this fakie bigspin performed by bri. My wife and 2 kids that play the game thinks it's so funny because they play the game to and can't believe how unfair it is towards me. Which i have to admit sometimes it's funny to me to. That's the only reason i gave 4 stars. 1 star for the unfairness on me but added 3 more stars for the humor my family is getting. Gotta laugh love this game. Would give it five stars if it wasn't for the ads glitch. ✴decide a card, any card! Win free rolls and prizes while you draw playing cards from the thriller pile. ✴issues get actually attention-grabbing when mates present up and attempt to steal out of your board. ✴don't surrender! You'll be able to journey to your mates' boards, too, and wreak havoc! Steal their cash, injury their buildings, and occupy their tiles. ✴ your metropolis will change into the discuss of the city with well-known locations just like the empire state constructing and the eiffel tower. This helps create a fun sense of tension within the gameplay. Will we be able to spend our Gems before another player invades your board? Wise spending is the key here. Later on in the game you will have the opportunity to buy landmarks. These buildings can take up the blank spaces on your board. Landing on a landmark will give the player a bonus. There are different landmarks with different bonuses, such as extra Coins. The progression of Board Kings seems fairly standard as far as mobile games are concerned. For example 3,5, or 10. There are also other ways to improve it but my main concern is improvement to make the game more interesting. If the game improves i will add more stars but if it doesn't i will also write the other problems i'm having. Thank you. I would like to report a problem here in trying to play and it won't let me it keeps saying something went wrong can we fix that cause i really enjoy this game and would like to play today is there going to be a new update or something cause it keeps saying something went wrong it's a really fun game when you can play it... unfortunately i haven't been able to since it logged out from my facebook account. And along with that, comes with the lack of Gems and Coins to upgrade your buildings when you're out of dice rolls. When i'm out of rolls, i like to upgrade everything. But when i go to do so, i can only upgrade two buildings bc i didn't land on anything special. I just think adding mini games would add a new element on how you can gain more of the essential items you need to move forward :) so i started playing this game so i could earn some points on money app. Its amazing features and multiplayer option enhance the fun in the game. Hii i'm not able to download the latest version of Board Kings. I downloaded the app from the above link but when i opened the app it asked me download the latest version. Please help Board Kings (mod unlimited Gems Coins) is the best game for having a lot of fun. You can download it for free from our website. With this mod, you will get unlimited Gems, unlimited Coins and infinite dice rolls on your game account. Won a tournament and didn't receive any of the prize package. Emailed support twice and received no reply. I have made 3 separate in app purchases and haven't gotten anything from them. I message the support team and all i get is an automated response. The game is fun to play when you're bored but for the love of g** do not make an in app purchase.... I really hate how you have to buy packs in order to get good things i'm not a fan of pay to play i wish more apps catered to people for it to be a simple fun game.. but 10 hours for 12 rolls like seriously!!? So now i have two boards that went wrong and out 1,000 ruby's. Is someone going to fix this glitch or people going to keep having this problem? If so i am going to stop spending money and delete the game. Was playing daily for last few months and enjoyed the games and new boards. Updated to latest ios 2 days ago and lost all progress. Get the following message, game retries 2-3 times then reverts to original board. Bad news something is wrong, reconnecting 1140502 thank you, fixed today. Couldn't get into the game all day yesterday (12/23/18), it kept saying it couldn't connect. I uninstalled/reinstalled today. I can finally get into the game, but now it crashes every time i try to get a free card. I don't know what changes you made yesterday, but it wasn't an improvement at all! Board kong's used to be fun, but after they keep adding all these events it's turned into a glitch fest. Game takes forever to load even on perfect internet, keeps unconnecting itself from a connection, keeps not rolling, the current event you roll to go down the sidewalk and it takes forever to land on a number and if you do land on a number it doesn't even bounce along the sidewalk nd you wasted a carrot. And i didn't get any of my rewards. I love this game. Please help :( would rate 5 but didn't get my landmark, rolls, Gems or Coins. So sad. It's a really fun and addicting game but i have one problem with it. When you are rolling and rolling and you are so close to unlocking the next building someone will land on steal and take all your money and you have to wait till the next set a rolls to try again. Man, i love this game. Such a good way to waste time. It's so easy to play, yet is so addicting! Only reason i can't give it 5 stars is that it takes so long for more dice. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ great game love to play it, my biggest issue is not being able to attack people who steal money on the steal space and the diabolic part of this game that absolutely needs to be removed and changed is this i can get money stolen from me-as im on my board playing the game!!! I've had over 10 million stolen from me in the last 24 hours because i can't progress. It's been almost 4 days now of trying to get my buildings released and i'm about to just quit. It's a shame really because i really enjoyed the game but now it's just become frustrating. I was enjoying the game until i left fb. It seems Board Kings centres everything around fb. Had to delete the app. I'm not gonna start over this game is so much fun and i really enjoy playing. I've used real money in this game and totally unsatisfied that they want me to start all over. Where is the fix for this?? With the recent update i get several pop ups saying something went wrong and then it puts me back at the beginning of the game. I don't want to start over. Please fix this soon. With this past update. I'm unable to log in to my board and it's asking me to start a new game after multiple errors well i gave bk two days to respond to me before writing this, yet they have not responded to multiple emails that i have written to support. So like in 2017 i got a board and then i clicked on the first one you start off with and i still had the circle board but when i clicked the other board it said i didint have th 2nd board anymore please fix it thanks i give this a one star ⭐️ because of this .-. For some reason i am on my fifth tome on the same board and it is getting very boring.also not getting prizes and i have spent lots of money on this game.i contacted tech support with no answer, not the first time.good game but no longer a challenges, spend what i have left and be done. Now i can finally upgrade all my buildings and get a new board!" Nope!!! Why not? Well, that was the first board i was stuck on due to these annoying golden bricks. So, i not only used all my new dice and got maybe 6 of 180 bricks, but in less than 24 hours, the entirety of my 5m plus everything i had earned with my dice rolls was stolen from me. I wrote to the developers and got no response. The minute i start playing i'm immediately pulled in and before i know it, i'm out of rolls. I wouldn't mind waiting if it didn't take at least an hour to get four rolls. Either way i do enjoy the game. Very addicting game! I just wish you could have more then 60 friends for rolls and Gems like go to 300 friends. Really fun game but i got to the second board and almost every time i get enough money it take a more than half away i just wrote a review about 'no cap on stealing?' Remember, these regular tiles can be upgraded indefinitely and higher levels will ask for Gems. So, once you notice that regular tiles ask for Gems in order to be upgraded, finish leveling up other tiles (the ones that ask only for Coins) before leveling up gem-hungry tiles. When you start Board Kings, you'll get a certain amount of freerolls. After you spend them there are two options. You can either pay Gems (which can be won by playing or bought for real money) for new rolls or you can wait for your rolls to refill. The fines usually cost just a couple of hundred of Coins, which you can earn again with just a few rolls. It's certainly better than spending precious rolls in order to get a double. Board kinks will offer you to watch ads in order to get additional rolls. Watching ads to get prizes is helpful in most other games offering the option since the prizes can be quite helpful. Sadly that's not the case in Board Kings. You see, the ads usually last half a minute, and the prize is just one additional roll! I love this game! But i can't log in. It's crashed. Keeps saying something is wrong with my internet connection but there's not. Something is wrong. Calm lake has a huge amount of multiple accounts. People like that hit you with all of their accounts and completely drain you of cash, and destroy your buildings. After latest update. Game doesn't load. I loved this game. My daughter loved this game. We were inviting other family members to join us and were planning to play all through christmas. However it has a good concept to the game i play it when i'm bored but starting to play it less and less because how frustrating it gets i collected all the pieces to get a new dice and it says collect and win 100 dice after but i never got my 100 dice. This my 4th board of me not getting it. Help!! If you'd like some easy rolls add me! Have a few more spots open. With that done with, liking the game so far! Step 1. Before you go to the download section and begin to play the game. It is recommended that you have to uninstall any previous version of the board king (if installed). Step 3. Again, before installing the game, you have to make sure that you have enabled the unknown sources option from the settings of your device. To allow installation from unknown sources go to settings> security option> unknown sources> enable it. The point to keep in mind is that this option can be found in different sections of settings in different devices. Also, i know the whole "random roll" thing is totally fake because you can clearly see the pattern of going around the board five or six times, falling just one tile short of the important stuff, then suddenly landing on things. Please fix soon, thanks i enjoy the game to a great extent, like 5 stars. However, i think being able to steal other's Coins is unacceptable. You wait hours to build your elixir and earn currency, all to have it taken away. Please make this right. I enjoyed playing the game as something to look forward to in the evening as, it takes quite a while to fully reload. I was almost up to level 20 and found that all my progress was lost and it tried to start me off at the very beginning. I decided it wasn't worth it. No way to recover my progress and no way of knowing if it would happen again. 😏 thanks for the help. You totally figured out the problem and everything is as it should be. When we started upgrading the board my game crashed so that was really stupid and sad but its fine now!!! I really hope you all enjoy the video!!! By adding your company profile to digital.nyc your startup becomes an active part of the city's official hub for technology. Startup listings for digital.nyc are powered by gust.com, the world's largest platform for startup funding. You can update your free profile at any time through the gust dashboard or even take things a step further by using your profile to leverage all the benefits gust has to offer. No where does it state that the prize is a competition and a chance to win the prize. So many people spent real money to get 50 building upgrades. Only to get either 1/10 of the prize or no prize at all. Contacted game support, only for them to claim its from a winners list even though the challenge ad claimed otherwise. Any company that tries to trick you should be avoided. Fun and addicting 6/5 stars man this game is awesome though i'd rather not wait for dice but this is so fun i had a level 7 board with 200k money(was about to level up) and rare idol pieces and i turned my game on today and it started me over. But i have a suggestion make it to where you can roll more downloaded and played this game as an offer for cash points on another game. They took the offer down knowing it would take longer to reach level 3 than the offer would be up leaving everything bill and void. If they are that dishonest and skeezy to get you to even download the game- don't be surprised when the game itself starts getting dishonest and skeezy also. I warned ya. Anyways i've been doing really well, not sure what level i was on, but i had made it to the inferno board. Then suddenly i opened up the game yesterday and it had reset back to the beginning, asking me to pick a starting character, etc.... I have never had that happen on a game before. I have reached out on their facebook page and now here. If they don't respond then i am done playing Board Kings. Posting this as a warning to anyone else who may be tempted to spend real money on this game.... apparently they have a glitch that could possibly cause you to lose everything! The concept is simple and to the point, which keeps my short attention span lol. I appreciate this game and all it has to offer. Add me 640-983-305 :) why the h*** are you allowing a conspiracy theorist and alt-right hate monger advertise on your app? It's disgusting to think kids might see this crap. Shame on you. This game can be a lot of fun. However, after months of building up my board, i logged on one day to find the game had reset, and all my progress was gone. The Board Kings consist a little hard gameplay. In the starting of the game, players need to select a story among various types of stories which are present in the game. The game includes all types of stories like romance, stories, drama, and horror, etc. After selecting the story, one needs to create a character according to their choice. There are two main currencies in the game that are Gems and rolls. It takes a long time which is near about 3 hours to create currencies in the form of Gems and rolls. This game is a joke! If you have money to waste then its your loss because there is no win to this game!!!!! This game is capital-r retarded, as is anyone who plays it. There is, literally, no objective in this game. It's just pay-to-play stripped down to its absolute most basic premise. You can pay to roll dice more often, so you can roll dice, so you can move a game-piece around a board. That is it. That's the entirety of the game. I don't wanna start over! I was really enjoying the game- it auto updated and now it won't let me long back in and the one time it let me it had booted me back to the beginning. I hope it won't stay like that since i made it pretty far, it would be such a pain if i had to start the game from the beginning all over again. I'd probably delete it if that happens. Love the game, but yesterday morning my game refused to open. This all needs to be fixed. Make the events fair to those of us who can't buy rolls and Gems to play. Fix the login issue. At first i loved this game then, as i upgraded things became a little irritating because now im being stolen from or robbed faster than i can get my money back. I've started to become stagnant in the game because i finally have money to upgrade then, and even as i'm playing the game, someone robs me of 132,000. All the challenges are unrealistic to achieve unless you actually put money into it. Even the mini games on the boards have been hard to finish. Don't expect getting much from this game unless you put into it. The animation is adorable and the gameplay is so fun and addictive! One complaint though: four rolls per one hour?! Ridiculous!! A reasonable thing would be like two rolls per ten minutes or something?? Like seriously you would have to wait seven hours to actually refill your roll bar also one more complaint: the fact that some random stranger can steal all your money is just super annoying. 😭😭😭 fix this! 😭😭 not sure what's going on, but one minute i had over 2k Gems and the next minute it was down to 200 after i used the train. Same with the rolls. I won the 4 of a kind event and my rolls went from over 1000 to 2oo+. Granted, i haven't spent any money on the game but what the heck. Be consistent. Maybe it will glitch again and i'll have a bunch of Gems again. I'll spend the heck out of them because they will be gone if i don't... I've been playing everyday for over a month. I constantly get on and play every few hours. Lately i've been very frustrated though. 4 rolls every 60 minutes. Is nothing. I feel like i have no changes to make any progress unless i abandon my favorite game for servers hours. The makers should be giving every player 5 rolls every 30 minutes. This would make players much happier and keep smiles on their faces while playing. I hate getting onto my game and seeing 4 rolls and having to wait 1 hours for 4 more. I promise you if you spend even $10.00 dollars on this game it will make a difference. I really liked it in the beginning but its like i only play it for 5 minutes and i'm out of roles. And it's super annoying how the same person comes back to my board literally everyday and they always always destroy my buildings and own them! I will no longer be playing this game. Love the game. The visuals. The icons you get to buy with Gems. I only downloaded it to earn points for another game. I was supposed to just reach level 2 and my job was done. I have no idea what i'm doing in this thing and just kept rolling the dice. Just as i was about to hit the next level, it wouldn't let me advance unless i paid for extra rolls. What a scam. So played for five minutes thinking this was easy and then a give us your money type of loop. -when you save up your Gems to 500 to purchase a new board, you should be able to preview it first. I spent 500 Gems on a board i ended up disliking and don't even use and Gems are so hard to come by, so 500 was a lot to waste! -the rewards you get for watching ads are minuscule, i don't mind watching ads, i do in a lot games, but with this game i feel like it's not worth the 30secs. This makes it impossible for you to advance in the game. Forcing you to spend your own money i refuse to do that because i've already spent enough. Make adjustments please, i refuse to keep playing if adjustments are not made. Also i spent a good amount of Gems on the vending machine and didn't get any items. I love the game but the support is terrible. I've put in tickets and no response. I decided, like an idiot, to make a purchase. Other than tha it is a great game i love this game and have played it for a while. However, there are a couple of things that irk me. The contests, like santa's sled, are easier for some people than others. The pieces have shorter distances to go but the rewards are smaller between players. I can probably get over that. My real question is why my husband got four rolls per hour and then five and now six rolls per hour when i'm at a much higher level than him and still only get four. Then the christmas update came and after getting my beginner stickers, i've gotten no random roll stickers since. Idk if i'm doing something wrong (mindful i've been playing constantly since i got the app about a week ago) or if it's a bug. Either way i will gladly add another star if y'all fix this. I loved this game and as a result have spent actual money on this game.... welp wouldn't you know it after spending real money the game started to glitch out and steal my rolls!! I really hope the developers start looking at these comments and actually improving instead of writing back "please give us 5 stars". I am absolutely addicted to this game! So much fun! Although it's a little confusing at first, it's so easy to figure out i was looking in the app store for some new games and that's when i cam across Board Kings!i really liked its concept so i got it.after starting i was really happy because i like playing board games but my sisters never play with me.its super easy and i love the little town and the bunny's!although the 1 thing i don't like is i realized that i end up using up my dice rolls super fast and it takes pretty long for the to come back.so when i run out of dice i just get off of the game because there is nothing to do anymore.so i would love if jelly button made the dice come back faster this game is amazingly addictive and i love it. We don't facebook and don't want to have to create fake facebook accounts and log in that way. We just want to enjoy this cute little game on our phones. I've restarted my phone. Restarted the app. Checked that i'm logged into the game center. Updated the app. I still can't get my board back and have lost all my progress. I was almost at level 10 and had made it to the second new board. I'm not starting over. I'll just delete this junk and find something else. However, they never replied, never fixed my issue, never even attempted to pretend to care! Very disappointed. Since this last update i can't be in the game for more than 2 minutes before getting kicked out then can't get back in. They claim to be working on it but i don't know. Giving up for now i have restarted the game and my phone multiple times. I also reinstalled the game and it refuses to connect. The app is now just taking up space on my phone. I had 163,172 Coins (used all my spins for that) and 113,741 stolen which left me with 49,431. ((edit: out of the left over 49k i got stolen 3 more times and was left with 1k)) i've also had a time where i got stolen two minutes apart which left me to hardly any Coins, just really? That's more than half of what i struggled to earn. Another thing on the events, maybe for them to be held a little longer they seem rather short and quick, or have more events more often. I started this game because i love playing board games! Now i can honestly say i'm addicted! I wake up check my rolls! Middle of the day check my rolls before bed i check them again! I love that they keep adding new boards and i love collecting all my idols and messing up my friends boards!!! Keep this game going strong! Earlier i was angry for what happened to my save file but now it can back and this game is better than ever!!!!! Please help you will love to play it with your friends. This time the game is fully unlocked with the new features and advanced levels. However, the gameplay includes a traditional board on which you can play with your friends. Added with different colors of dice and social media platforms, the game becomes quite amazing. The game is made so easy that even a kid can play it. Well, you can also give them their entertainment and there is nothing any unwanted online stuff that can harm them. I've never even been given the option to steal that much from any other players who had that amount. It's not even just to steal that amount from someone. You guys are con artists. This game is pretty great i decided i'd buy more rolls and everything on one of their "specials" but i didn't get the rolls or anything!! It made me extremely angry. So the game is good and all, fun and ive spent my own money to collect cards and more rolls but once i collected another set it gave me my rolls and then they disappeared so it was all for nothing, rip off on the game. How can i reclaim it??? Ive landed on it, increased cash, Gems, & happiness-i'm stumped? When i land in jail, the only "release " i have is to spend Gems... I thought we were supposed to have the choice of either paying a cash fine or rolling doubles? Also, i have the maximum amount of cops allowed, how do i reposition them? Yes, the only options you have after being arrested is paying the fine with Gems or going home. I'm not sure where they got rolling doubles from. But, with every up there is a down. The only problem is that i have to wait sooooo long for the next batch of 4 dice and i think Board Kings could fix how long until the next die or make more die for the amount of time we have to wait. Other than that, i really enjoy this game! The problem with this game is that it costs way to much to upgrade buildings. Also, when there is an event, the game becomes rigged it seems like so that it is impossible to win anything. Trusted and commonly accepted libraries (e.g. Google sdk, facebook sdk, signal sdk) are not displayed. Specific sast test reveals all remote hosts present in the source code of the mobile application where the application may connect to send or receive data at occurrence of a specific event (e.g. User action). Specific dast test provides a comprehensive list of all http/s requests sent by the mobile application without interaction with user. For continuous monitoring purposes, we suggest you exploring our award-winning immuniweb® discovery offering tailored for continuous monitoring with flexible 24/7 notifications. Dont spend your money. They do a great job of reeling you in at first. They make dice rolls, Gems, and Coins seem much more attainable than they truly are, especially as you get farther into the game. It isn't necessarily pay to win, but it just isn't fun anymore unless you want to shell out some money every day. To put things into perspective, i'm on the final board at the moment. That isn't a problem at all because they actually are very prompt with releasing new boards. Have you ever wanted to own your own board game, all along with houses, hotels, interesting tiles to step on, and other players that can come to your board and play on it a bit? Well, Board Kings does all that, and more. The game lets you build your own board game, expand it by adding more tiles, build and upgrade house tiles in order to get more Coins by stepping on one, and visit other player boards to get huge rewards, destroy their buildings, and steal their money! What a load of crap. Deleted. I just love playing this game !! It's addicting and fun for all ages! The bunnies are also cute as can be ☺️ i love it 😊 because of how we can go to random people or to friends or get revenge on somebody who has beaten you! 😉😉😉😉 don't listen to the haters because the haters gonna hate. For a long time it said i had 2 more landmark spots but it would not allow me to place them. My 11 million Coins were stolen overnight, leaving less than 100,000 of what i had purchased. After reading some of the comments, i'm convinced that the developers construct the game so that they can s***** your Coins and boosters away hoping you'll just fork over more to to play. I play several other games and your purchases remain for your gameplay only. Fraudulent i didn't know what to expect at first, but once i started playing i figured out that it is a lot of fun, i just started a couple of days ago and haven't stopped. I rarely make in app purchases, but i did for this game . I made 2 purchases of bundle 4 for 3.99 but was only given 1 , however, my card was charged twice . I've tried to contact support but i don't even see the option of actually speaking to or contacting a real person, only faqs. For that and the run around i quit and give it 1 star the game steals your Gems. You have he option to supplement building with Gems, however it does not ask if you want to use them, the game will just take them if you click too many times. Plus i haven't come across any legitimate problems yet. I actually love this game, but it really made me angry that when i spent my money to buy extra rolls and cash, that as soon as the transaction was complete, someone stole $13m from me. Freaking ridiculous. And why do i never see the 10 free rolls cards anymore? Game is pretty fun, a bit frustrating. Got ripped off on my award but i think it was a fail on the other app. I hope they will fix the number of rolls you get. I mean why 4 rolls per hour. You want to make the game more interesting and fun. We want more interactions and more chances to play this game. The major problem is the simplicity of the game and the amount of time people invest in the game since there aren't much stuff you can do once you run out of rolls. I believe changing the hour to a few mins will make this game a game friends will be able to play a lot so that they can steal each other's Coins. Now, the events amazed me, they were great! Was a little unhappy you had to adventure to different boards instead of just picking one, but it was a neat concept. New boards and idols were neat to see. But today also showed me some of the major flaws in this game... for instance while trying to collect board pieces i had gained a ton of Gems that i was pretty happy to spend when i got to the new board, i had like 500,000 and something. Or when you need just a few extra rolls in order to send a couple of more cop cars out before exiting the game. Remember, this can be of huge help but use it only when really need to. This way you'll be able to spend all of your Coins before leaving the game, making your board less interesting for other players to invade it. Thank you for reading our Board Kings guide. We really hope it has been a helpful reading, and we hope you learned something that will aid you while you build a perfect game board. Sometimes it's hard to earn the carrots or other objects required for the current promotion. But,playing the game is fun. This game has been fun, but ever since a few days ago i can't enter the game. The loading bar is full but it won't let me enter the game. If you fix this i'll gladly give 5 stars. Edit: a new update seems to have fixed this! A fun game this game is fun when you are playing with friends, but when my friend spent money to get millions of Coins, i decided to rob him. I had 40 rolls and got 73,000 cash, the game let some steal 46,000 cash. I was going to upgrade all of my buildings but after i l

We don’t want extra negativity. So cease it.
Be a part of an anger administration group. The professionals there are paid to care about your points. We aren’t. Secretly although, you marvel why nobody needs to be your good friend and be part of your whiny destructive grievance periods? Properly, you get what you give. Attempt remembering what you realized as a child: In case you don’t have something good to say, don’t say something in any respect.

You like their songs, however there’s a cause artists put out an album, let it run its course, after which disappear for a pair years earlier than they launch a brand new album. If that artist launched a track daily, you’d get so sick of them, you’d hate their guts. Properly, Fb offender, you’re that “artist.” And secretly, folks hate your guts. So give it a relaxation. Go get a interest. Step. Away. From. Your. Fb. Get hooked on doing one thing productive together with your life.
One-Trick Pony
Ever heard the phrase “Selection is the spice of life”? If not, look it up. As a result of for these of you who continuously speak about the identical factor again and again and over… It’s simply pics of your youngsters all of the rattling time, pics of your canine all of the rattling time, posts about your political opinions all of the rattling time, pics about how a lot weight you’ve misplaced all of the rattling time… Why do you suppose we care greater than as soon as? Greater than twice? Ever? We don’t. Change it up.
Foodie Overload: Chew on This
Tumblr media
Photos of what you’re consuming for breakfast, lunch, dinner, an in-between-lunch-and-dinner snack, your late-night binging episode, the meals you’re consuming at a restaurant… You might not know this, however we predict you’re actually gross. More often than not, we simply need to inform you to cease consuming so rattling a lot, get on a treadmill, or purchase a self-help or weight-loss guide.
Do you not notice that all of us already know what a steak appears like? We all know it. Cease exhibiting us. It makes us need to attain via our laptop screens and beat you within the face senselessly together with your disgustingly fats and greasy over-stuffed burrito you retain exhibiting us. And we hate you.
Your Drunken Rants
Tumblr media
Expensive Drunken Ranter, A reality: Booze and the Web Do Not Combine. (Re-read that if you happen to didn’t already get that via your thick, self-absorbed cranium.) So irrespective of how cool you suppose you’re or how entitled you’re feeling after just a few drinks to inform the world what you actually take into consideration one thing, likelihood is, if in case you have a clue, when you sober up, you notice how dumb you regarded by sounding off whilst you have been a drunk idiot. However heyyyyy, guess what? The remainder of us realized how dumb you regarded hours in the past once you posted your ridiculous drunken rant. Bear in mind the previous adage that ingesting and driving don’t combine? Right here’s a brand new one for ya, memorize it: Consuming and the Web Don’t Combine.

In recent times, increasingly more campaign descriptions include claims that some form of gaming is being exploited. What value is just above the value of the word in the Hong Kong advertising picture? Rick Increase speaks with two businesses which have gained its awards
Recreation Guidelines
“I really don't think gaming is something new in APAC or the world,” says CEO Penny Chow Reprise in HK
Last yr Reprise The group has had considerable success using gaming in Nike and Coca-Cola campaigns. However Chow thinks the business has quite a lot of concept.
“There is a very big misunderstanding in which people think that gambling is a game or a game,” he says.
”Previously, individuals requested what’s gaming? & # 39; and different individuals would say: & # 39; You employ games to verify something. Which means recreation techniques or implementation may also help you obtain one thing. Should you ask me, I might say that gaming has now turn out to be an advertising or advertising device that in itself differs from many other methods we use.
Like many gamers in the business, he believes that individuals are dependent on the technological meanings of the time period and strongly resemble advertising that gaming precedes smartphones, AR and VR.
Toys might have changed, however previous standards, resembling loyalty packages, coupons, and the potential to collect all involved recreation parts lengthy before their digital
”Marketers have all the time used playing to become involved with their shoppers when something shouldn’t be straightforward to take , ”he says.
This wisdom aside continues to be plain that increasingly more businesses are using a wide range of digital capabilities to convey the parts of the world of games to their campaigns. “I think playing isn't just your face, it's your head. It makes an emotional connection to the audience and leads to a longer relationship, not to fear brand awareness, ”says Alco Ho, Artistic Manager at Webs.
He also supplies a purpose for sudden gaming. 19659004] “Campaigns are no longer a sustainable form of marketing because consumers get smarter. They are blind to traditional ads. In order to reach our target audience, we need to incorporate a fun and competitive element into our marketing strategy. ”
Ho presents its own definition of gaming, which is the integration of brand name gross sales via challenges and rewards. For instance, an peculiar free product package deal with a thematic relevance to the model might be better promoted by way of competitions.
”It triggers a way of accomplishment and exploits the competitiveness of people and encourages them to visit the app / web site much more, just because they take pleasure in it, he says.
Chow additionally believes that video games touch one thing that was buried deep in our collective psyche.
”Once we performed video games once we have been young, we accepted it because we needed to get more, we needed to see more, and needed to gather more. So I feel it's enjoying with shopper psychology or considering. ”

Producing a gambling marketing campaign seems to be a frighteningly difficult proposition in a digital world full of data and always up to date. However, Ho believes that the key to success is dumbing issues up.
“Maintain things easy, easy and enjoyable. What is the most essential level of gaming? How internet individuals? So it's straightforward to win, easy recreation construction and consumer pleasant. Make engaging content material the place every consumer can feel like a master. Who wouldn't need it?
Ting Shie, a staff that leads the social and content workforce on Webs s & # 39; up, urges marketers to withstand the complexity of complexity and as an alternative advocates a complete strategy to branding
Shie says, "We need to make it silly. Simplicity is endurance. You haven’t any endurance to determine the right way to play. You need to fix it instantly or in seconds, then it attracts the consumer to play or even share it later. ”
Tumblr media
It's one in every of the obvious drivers we've seen in advertising. [19659004] The businesses will not be simply making an attempt to make use of the capability to supply – by way of promises of reward or honor – motivation that permits users to participate. The actual promise of the combined recreation world is that gamers pull each other into their recreation, rivals, allies or just as viewers.
However, as Chow factors out, attracting gaming isn’t solely a fast opportunity to spread it, however a top quality of every hit.
“When you have a social video that you use to watch or comment or share. But playing means you practice longer and deeper. ”
He mentions the distinction in strategy. Reprise might have handled the Coca-Cola marketing campaign.
”It is straightforward to ask solely teenagers to drink more Coca-Cola every summer time. We will rent the most popular bands or singers in Hong Kong and give them loads of prizes in a cheerful guess. But then shopper activity stops there. Once they drink a chef, they cease. They don't like when I’ll drink it once more? ”
“ Playing is not just your face, it is your head. ”
Reprise decided to launch the Tetris cellular activation, where clients collected pieces of the recreation puzzle from the purchased cans. This hauled them emotionally and drove them to their next purchase.
Chow says, “I feel enjoying performs magic. If you should use it intelligently, you’ll be able to actually keep in touch with shoppers for longer and deeper. “
Nevertheless, as he says for advertising, it's not simply what he calls" bling bling "beverage, trend, or way of life brands. commitment works. The truth is, the largest gaming know-how beneficiaries might stay in model categories which might be thought-about calm.
”Who needs to find out about banking? For those who start a branding campaign and say "OK, we'll put you at the heart of the business and we have these services you can choose …" however the younger era is just not fascinated with figuring out more. So gaming could be a essential place in this space if the marketer knows easy methods to use it.
If the model has the info and the capacity to not directly inform younger shopper teams what the brand is, they will
”You possibly can have many various methods you will get concerned with those shoppers who are usually not simply related and telling them onerous your messages in additional fascinating methods, ”Chow says. 19659004] Shie and Ho agree and inform us that they assume every brand can have a recreation marketing campaign. Nevertheless, this campaign won’t magically produce results until it will get into the discussion.
Ho says: “Local cultural elements can be placed in a marketing strategy. Ride on hot topics, KOLs and local slang to make the audience more aware. ”
Score (19659003) Despite the temptation to hire a developer army to build a obtrusive multi-layered software, our matter agrees that it’s a rash. While some strategies require something like that, Reprise and Webs have efficiently set up campaigns around gaming and have a way more economical strategy.
It started with a stay teaser video displaying the native rock band Pricey Jane, who encountered out-of-country occasions outdoors the venue.
At the similar time, the agency had also pulled a total of 200 KOLs / influencers who had concurrently despatched them, had the similar experience of the similar night time. Larger curiosity attracted clients to Style Walk, where the final actual stage of gaming began by challenging guests to physically seek for and scan codes at totally different places in the mall.
Shie says, “We had to think a lot of elements all together. We knew that fashion walks by attracting younger fashionists who really care about what they use. Then we get Looney Tunes and Marvin Mars. ”
Tumblr media
From a improvement perspective, it took somewhat greater than rewarding website creation for patrons, but the off-beat strategy increased conversations with the viewers and the customer. [19659004Webssup'knockeddowntheheadofthecrowdinthemidstofadeeperinterestinthecontentoftheopportunitytocometoataxinarine”
And while this undertaking sounds minimalist, Chow tells Advertising how Reprise built Nike for the cash recreation campaign in 2018, however Instagram and one page on an present website.
“It’s common follow that in case you start one thing for a World Cup, for instance, football garments, you’ll send e-mails to all your members. One other method is to ship e-mail to the soccer members you will have in the pool. But final time during the World Cup, we talked to the shopper about not having sufficient.
Using hashtag, #BelieveToUnlock, users discover coded messages in Instagram posts that could possibly be used to open rewards, comparable to buying. reductions, occasion tickets and coaching periods with local actors
Nike had an enormous amount of details about her HK users about e-commerce activities that have been so numerous in engagement and influence courses – from VIP to casual – Reprise was in a position
Tumblr media
It obtained big outcomes, doubled membership, doubled membership and elevated clickthrough fee, sales and promotional code usage. Using a bit more than hashtag, Chow decides that it has solely the right info
"If the brand really needs to play, they need to understand their audience first, what their way of doing what they want," he
. need one thing, whether you’re an software or an outside event or just a simple Instagram or Fb activation, they’ll contact you to know their habits or intentions if you would like them to take action. ”
Shie presents his own view of social significance:“ Ninety-five percent of all gaming must go through social channels. No one wants to download the app to play just a few games. So we've designed a lot of games based on Facebook and Instagram DNA. And now YouTube allows you to continue with interactive paths where you can choose A or B. ”
Endgame
As a result of clients are encouraged to take part in prizes, game-infused campaigns supply marketers an amazing reward: info. The laws have made access to consumer info harder, however gaming creates a fairly low worth for shoppers who grant the vital permissions.
“All customers want to gather information that increases or increases the audience. So we can make games a filled in form of incentives and rewards (and) that only need to provide some personal information. It can be quite sensitive, so it is natural for people to try it, ”Ho says.
“We choose the consumer to offer info, play the recreation and redeem his wage. “
Chow agrees on how games can reassure customers:“ If a bank asks you to offer them with info or sign up with their software and provide them with info to use the app, individuals are pretty skeptical. But what in the event you say, "Here is a pretty good campaign, you can enjoy these benefits or play with friends, and you just have to sign up for your information"?
He concludes: "It is basically a very good channel by which marketers can gather information that they could not usually tell more."
(perform (d, s, id) var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName (s) [zero]; if (d.getElementById (id)) returns; js = d.createElement (s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.2"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore (js, fjs); (document, script & # 39; facebook-jssdk & # 39;))

Most of us feel like you’re failing, no less than at times, to the fighting bids just for attention that come from give good results, kids, spouses and via our electronic digital devices.
Whilst she does not want to appear as “judgy of parents, very well Radesky as well as other experts shared four takeaways from the investigation that can tutorial parents seeking to improve their marriages both using their kids based on technology.
Put your mobile away must when you’re along with your kids.
A lot of people would balk at a comparable coming to the actual dinner table using headphones within, let alone a new VR headphones. But handsets can be equally disruptive towards small relationships with young people — a good phenomenon the fact that some analysts have after that “technoference. lunch break
For Potts, like several parents, it is a point involving contention. “It just genuinely drives me crazy any time we’re all perched at the dining room table and my husband will receive a notification within this phone, and he thinks so long as he hold the phone out from Eliza’s eyes that it’s OK. ”
Fathers and mothers of younger children pick up their valuable phones typically almost 80 times a full day, according to a pilot analysis Radesky not too long ago published. Several of the parents in that analysis underestimated both equally how often that they picked up all their phones and just how much time many people spent on all of them.

Nevertheless Radesky possesses insights regarding the more delicate, emotional associated with this compelling — exactly what she requests the “micro-interactions” among moms and dads, kids and screens.
Cease using the cellular phone as a pacifier — for you personally or your teenager.
Potts frets over this case with her little girl: “We’re for the bus, most of us stayed out and about a little too prolonged somewhere together with we’re moving home as well as we’re overdue for nap time and she is going to have a crisis… so I take out the phone. lunch break
She wants to know, “Is that a undesirable thing? ”
Radesky states that this is tremendously common. Your girlfriend research has uncovered a correlation between habit problems and also screen make use of by babies and by their very own parents.
By simply following families with time, her research has documented what precisely she calls a “bi-directional flow” somewhere between parents’ television screen use, kids’ screen utilize and kids’ emotional matters, whether tantrums and operating out, or even conversely, being more cashed out.
In other help with finance homework words, the greater kids act as, the more desperate parents get. The more stressed parents have, the more people turn to watches as a distraction — for themselves and for their kids.
But , the more families turn to monitors, for themselves or their kids, the more their valuable kids usually tend to act out.
Radesky adds any time you go and visit by loosening your mobile phone in long-lasting moments, you actually miss you information that can help everyone be a significantly better parent — and help avert more difficult moments in the foreseeable future.
“We has to be watching, jamming and event evidence and we can take action in the right way that help our children build up their own self-regulation skills, ” she says.
Implement apps just like Moment or simply Screen The perfect time to track your own personal screen utilize and corner the phone from working on certain times — like while in dinner. Keep it beyond sight in addition to out of your head: Create a charging station on the front door; leave it in your tote during stressful times such as morning as well as evening tedious. De-activate notifications, and that means you decide when should you check the cellular phone. Still life isn’t really perfect, and quite often we need to sit in two locations at once.   You Can’t Get Sufficient of Yourselfie
You don’t know why, however you simply can’t get sufficient of your self! I imply, omg, you look so rattling good proper now, the remainder of the world actually ought to see this… So you’re taking a selfie of you in your automobile… You scantily clad in a mirror… You strolling the canine we used to suppose was cute til we noticed it 22 instances a day… You in a tub… You attempting on a brand new outfit on the retailer… You and allllllll your amaaaazing besties… You bare together with your “hopes and desires” lined up simply so… We get it, you’re keen on your self. You like your self so rattling a lot. Properly, right here’s a reality for you: Each time you present us how a lot you’re keen on your self, we hate you just a bit bit extra. And #WeHateDuckFace.
We Don’t Care About Your Love Life
Each date you go on, what you intend to put on, the place it’s best to go, what it’s best to say… “omg what do they consider me,” “omg greatest date ever,” “when will they name,” “why received’t they depart me alone,” “omg they love me a lot, take a look at what they simply purchased me at this time,” “omg regardless that we broke up they’re nonetheless so head over heels in love with me, they hold calling me on a regular basis…” We don’t care, you look dumb, and we hate you. And in case your potential lover/present lover/former loves sees all of your pathetic outpouring of a private matter, they most positively hate you, too.
Newsflash: We All Know Your Life Isn’t So Nice
You’re the individual that incessantly talks about how great issues are: “The youngsters are superb!” “My important different is so candy to me on a regular basis!” “Take a look at all these superb experiences I’m having!” “Take a look at all these new issues I simply purchased!” So… you recognize that we know you, proper? Your youngsters are disgusting brats, your lover cheats on you, you want booze to get via the day, and also you’re broke. We all know it. Cease attempting to trick us into believing in any other case.
You Are the Feed Clogger
Doesn’t matter how sometimes we go surfing to Fb, it’s a certain factor that each time, you can be there, posting again and again, clogging our feeds together with your minute-by-minute updates of your pathetic life. Ever hear the phrase “Absence makes the guts develop fonder?” If not, right here’s a tip: cease posting about how cute your canine appears proper now and go look it up. It’ll do wonders for you (and your relationships). How do you do it? How do you handle to all the time be there?
Oh, and btw… Have you ever observed how folks aren’t responding to your posts a lot? They’ve blocked you from their feeds. So by this level, you possibly can very properly be oversharing in a vacuum. Nevertheless it’s not too late: Attempt scaling again to posting as soon as per week. Watch your social standing in actual life enhance very quickly. Positive, you could undergo withdrawals, however you’ll reside. Til then, we hate you.
Your Emotional Outbursts
Omg, you have been simply at a celebration and your boyfriend walked out on you, omg you have been simply on the retailer and somebody offended you, omg your trainer was completely such a jerk to you simply now… You’re a sufferer, and the universe has one way or the other wronged you. For some insane cause, you actually really feel strongly that the remainder of us have to find out about it– and never simply the difficulty at hand, however a extremely, actually, actually lengthy paragraph about it. Guess what, we don’t care. We hate you. You’re performing like a child. Shut up together with your rants.
Have you ever by no means realized about self-control? Give it a shot. Follow this train: In case you actually really feel strongly about a problem, however know you could be emotional about it: Step. Away. From. Your. Fb. Suppose on it for a day, after which determine if you wish to share this problem nonetheless so badly. By placing some area between the difficulty at hand and your legion of followers, it removes the emotional component fairly a bit… And please, if after a day you determine it IS nonetheless value speaking about, for the love of all issues holy, try to hold it brief and candy.
We all know, we all know: You’re the solely particular person in our feed that actually issues, however consider it or not, now we have a lot of different folks we are attempting to maintain up with, too. You might be the middle of your universe, however most of us produce other buddies to are inclined to as properly. (We all know this may occasionally come as a shock to you.)
Me, Me, Me!
That is for the individual that can’t cease speaking about themselves. There was a time limit the place neighbors regarded out for one another and folks would follow random acts of kindness to assist their fellow human. You appeared to have disregarded that chapter.
Did you ever for a second suppose that perhaps, as a substitute of speaking about your self on a regular basis, you possibly can do some good on the earth with this superb platform we name social media? Set up a neighborhood clean-up, elevate funds for a great trigger, ask your self what you are able to do to assist another person (not, all the time, what they’ll do for you)… In some way enhance another person’s life. (And no, that doesn’t imply that it’s best to begin oversharing your private beliefs on how the world could be a greater place if solely we agreed together with your private or political opinions on every little thing).
Give This a Attempt: Exit of your means to assist another person primarily based on THEIR wants. This will likely come as a shocker, however it’s not all about you.
#Hashtags
You suppose you’re being enjoyable and witty by talking in hashtags: #ImJustSayin, #OhHellNo, #HowCuteAmIRightNow, #BestThingEver. You’re lame. #AndWeHateYou
We’re Sick of Your Opinions
By now, everyone knows your stance on the present political agenda or the way you suppose the world needs to be or what you suppose is the easiest way to do one thing… no matter it’s that you’re continuously stuffing down our throats. We get it. We too, are educated and know how one can learn. We see what you’re saying. All. The rattling. Time. Cease It. We don’t agree. We are going to by no means change our opinions and aspect with you. Or worse, we do agree, however we all know you’re driving a good larger wedge between us and people who disagree with us. Fb and its plethora of advertisers finding out all of your knowledge overload thanks, however we hate you. Simply. Shhhtop.
You Suppose You’re Cool. We Suppose You Want Assist.
Clearly by your fixed try to endorse one thing unhealthy: “I’m ingesting wine on a regular basis, I’m so cool,” “Hey, take a look at me smoking on a regular basis,” “Hey, right here I’m standing on a ledge 30 tales off the bottom. Don’t I rock so arduous!?” You’ve got issues. Really. Your folks might not inform you this as a result of they don’t need to offend you. However clearly you’re exhibiting the tech-based cry for assist and are searching for some kind of assist or endorsement on your self-destructive or dangerous behaviors. For actual, you need assistance.
Cease attempting to get everybody to assist your poor selections, and as a substitute spend a while researching how one can treatment your self. Good place to begin? Try the advertisements on the edges of your Fb feed. Ever marvel why they’re all associated to self assist? Sure, the universe IS telling you one thing, and so are all of the advertisers finding out your fixed information overload– who’re more than pleased to capitalize in your issues.
The Enabler: Probably the Worst Sort of Fb Offender
Ah, the enabler. OK, so that you’ve already acquired that one good friend in your listing that you simply hate for being essentially the most annoying– however maybe simply as equally annoying, if no more annoying, is that particular person in your listing who continuously helps the annoying good friend: We name this particular person The Enabler.
The Enabler reinforces every little thing the annoying good friend believes. The Enabler likes all of the annoying particular person’s posts, helps all their beliefs, says constructive issues in regards to the annoying good friend’s ridiculous or drunken rants and silly selfies. What’s worse? The Enabler greater than probably is aware of how annoying the annoying good friend is however nonetheless exhibits them assist for some unholy cause, be it out of insecurity or worry or no matter.
The Enabler makes the annoying particular person really feel like they’ve an viewers, thereby growing annoying particular person’s confidence in posting an increasing number of and extra– a fireplace from which we so desperately need to suffocate all oxygen. And also you, Enabler, are like gas for that fireside, serving to the hearth to develop, larger and larger, and you’re the enemy. And, due to this fact, we hate you, too.
You’re a Meanie
You’re the one who continuously has one thing snarky, caustic, or offensive to say about, actually, every little thing. You in all probability suppose you’re being humorous or insightful or have a proper to spew your venom since you had a tough childhood or some crap, however it’s hurtful, and all of us have already got sufficient powerful stuff we’re coping with in our private lives.
You Are An Addict, and We Know It
What you’re watching on TV, what you’re serious about this very minute, your newest popular culture dependancy, your omg megacrush on an actor du jour (tomorrow, it’ll prob be a boybander; subsequent day, a sports activities hero), the six outfits you’re attempting to determine between for the banal occasion you’re attending later tonight. Guess what? We don’t care. And also you clearly have an dependancy: Over-sharing on the Web.
Give it some thought like this: You’ve got a favourite music artist, proper?
Foodie Overload: Chew on This
Photos of what you’re consuming for breakfast, lunch, dinner, an in-between-lunch-and-dinner snack, your late-night binging episode, the meals you’re consuming at a restaurant… You might not know this, however we predict you’re actually gross.

A Change of Surroundings, a Dedication to Service and a Social Media Cleanse: Inside Selena Gomez’s Yr of Rebuilding
Selena Gomez wanted a change. Whereas she’s been a bit omnipresent as of late, sitting down for a handful of interviews to advertise her new film The Lifeless Do not Die, out in theaters now, there was a second the place followers puzzled when, if ever, she may return to her highlight. It is not as if her retreat wasn’t comprehensible. In spite of everything, 2017 and the early bits of 2018 weren’t precisely the simplest for her. She’d undergone a kidney transplant, gone via a breakup with The Weeknd, rekindled issues with Justin Bieber for a short second in time, entered into therapy for despair and nervousness, and had been working at a breakneck tempo to try to end up an album to succeed her 2015 smash Revival.  So retreat she did. She bought her house in Calabasas and moved south to Orange County. She backed away from social media regardless of as soon as being the most-followed individual on Instagram. She allowed for a shift in her focus. As she instructed Elle in September 2018, she had a sit down earlier within the 12 months with some “wonderful girls who had been very shut in my life. It was type of a tough second. And I simply had all of them there, encouraging me, and it was a kind of moments that you simply think about if you’re a younger woman and also you go speak to your aunts and your mother and you are like, That is what is going on on in my life.” And afterward that pivotal chat, she started to get again to fundamentals.  “I feel every part in my life is being majorly downsized, in an excellent means,” she instructed the publication. “I am going again to simplicity. That is at all times who I have been. It is not me saying, ‘I really feel the very best I’ve ever felt,'” she continues. “It is me saying, ‘I am precisely the place I’m. And I am so blissful I am on this place.’ It is quite a lot of self-discovery. From 20 to 26? Oh my gosh. I really feel like a completely completely different individual.” PapCulture / BACKGRID A significant focus of Selena’s 12 months away from the highlight was a renewed dedication to psychological well being. “Final 12 months, I took quite a lot of break day. I feel that I wanted a second to myself as a result of I do really feel like I used to be rising and altering,” she said on Coach’s “Dream It Real” podcast in April. “Gosh, if I knew what I do know now…I’m a believer of remedy. So I feel that I’ve had alternatives the place I kinda mirror on the youthful me, and I feel that quite a lot of the instances, I wanted that I might hug my youthful self. I want I might have achieved quite a lot of issues and skilled issues perhaps a bit in a different way, however I am going to remedy.” “It’s [hard], however it’s wonderful,” she continued. “It is laborious for individuals to open up, however I feel it is simply one of the vital vital issues — to get to know your self. Not saying everybody on the planet has to do it; I am simply saying it is helped me perceive myself and my childhood rather a lot higher.” An excellent portion of her 12 months was spent being of service to others, as she started interning 5 days per week (pending her commitments within the studio or conferences with manufacturers she had long-term partnerships with) at A21, a worldwide anti-human-trafficking nonprofit with 14 places worldwide. “I had been working for therefore lengthy, and I do not like taking issues in my life,” she instructed Elle. “I simply wished to serve.” She was, nevertheless, hesitant to discuss her work with the group. “I wasn’t going to instantly begin discussing it. It is out of my consolation zone. I wanted to be absolutely immersed in it,” she instructed the journal, including, with a smile, “What an awesome factor one other celeb is doing…That is not why I wish to speak about it. I am unable to be silent about this.” Matt Baron/REX/Shutterstock “I have been wanting one thing I might contribute most of my time to as a result of I really like what I do, however I really feel a bit egocentric typically and I’ve at all times stated that…I take it extraordinarily severe and my pals are closely concerned with me as a result of it isn’t one thing occurring 1,000,000 miles away. It is really occurring right here,” she told E! Information’ Jason Kennedy days after the Elle interview—which she took to process on Instagram for not specializing in the work sufficient in favor of her private life—dropped. “I might like to do every part I can, together with one in every of my heroes [A21 founder Christine Caine], to only be part of it and be taught. So I’m honored to be part of it.” Whereas Selena was splitting her time between her volunteer work and the studio, she was actively avoiding the social media highlight—save for a number of strategic posts right here and there—and the web altogether. She’d eliminated Instagram from her telephone, leaving entry to her account to a pal’s telephone, the place she would publish sometimes. She eliminated all picture enhancing apps from her telephone. It was as near an web blackout as one can actually get on this digital day and age. “The explanation why is, it isn’t actual to me,” she instructed Elle. “I do know my voice may be very outstanding, however I am not careless with it. I am selective. So far as my private life, somebody sees me having a glass of wine? I might give two shits. I am not attempting to cover. That is my life. I am dwelling it the way in which I wish to reside it. Nevertheless it’s about making a aware effort—if I can have a second to be with my pals, I will take that point. So I haven’t got any of it. I needed to make that call.” As she admitted on the Coach podcast, she felt that point spent on Instagram, specifically, wasn’t wholesome anymore. “I observed, with me, I obtained type of depressed taking a look at these individuals who look stunning and wonderful,” she stated. “It could simply get me down rather a lot, so I simply assume taking breaks is absolutely vital. However simply know that the majority of it is not actual, and I hate to say that as a result of I do not imply to be impolite, however it’s unrealistic in quite a lot of methods. For me, I wish to defend the youngest technology as a result of they’re uncovered to a lot data, and I really feel like that causes quite a lot of nervousness. Generally individuals are uncovered to an excessive amount of, and I feel it is best to actually defend what you are seeing, and you have to be actually conscious of the way it makes you’re feeling.” Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock It is a choice that is caught, as Selena has defined throughout her latest press tour for The Lifeless Do not Die. Talking throughout a press convention on the 2019 Cannes Movie Pageant, the place the zombie flick co-starring Bill Murray made its world debut, she admitted that she thinks it is “fairly not possible to make” social media protected at this level. “I am grateful I’ve the platform,” she added. “I do not do quite a lot of pointless photos. For me,  I prefer to be intentional with it. It simply scares me. I will see these younger ladies at meet and greets. They’re devastated, coping with bullying and never having the ability to have their very own voice. It may be nice in moments. I might watch out and permit your self a while limits of when it is best to use it.” Showing on LIVE With Kelly and Ryan on Wednesday, she confirmed that Instagram stays on that pal’s telephone. “Once I really feel like I wish to share one thing with my followers or simply fiddle with it, I do it then,” she added. Like, as an illustration, deleting the final traces of her ex from her feed as soon as and for all, as she did over the weekend. With The Lifeless Do not Die now in theaters, Selena is now free to deal with her upcoming album, which she admitted on The Tonight Present on Tuesday was lastly “really achieved.” And as she explained to host Jimmy Fallon, it took her a very long time to get to a spot to be able to say that.  “I’ve to do, like, a number of ending issues with it, however I am simply relieved,” she stated. “It took me 4 years now to even really feel at a superb place with this album, and it is simply because I had such large moments that occurred in my life personally that [it was like] how was I going to seize that and the way was I really going to be ok with what I used to be saying? So, I saved going and I am relieved now.” It is all the tip results of a technique of self-discovery that has the multi-hyphenate in a frame of mind that had eluded her for therefore lengthy. “It is peaceable. It is bizarre. The second I turned 26, I felt 26,” she instructed Elle, including, “Proper now, I really feel very positive of the place I’m. I do not really feel erratic or emotionally unstable. Or like I am unable to deal with my feelings, like I used to. It is type of understanding myself a bit extra. By all means I haven’t got myself found out. Nevertheless it feels good.” The transfer out of Los Angeles helped, little question. “It has been such a launch,” she instructed stated. “L.A.’s simply gotten actually claustrophobic for me.” As for what she’s wanting ahead to for the remainder of 2019? “I am wanting ahead to my album and I am wanting ahead to spending time alone,” she stated on the Coach podcast. “I feel I am lastly, lastly, lastly on the age the place I really like being alone.” If that is not progress, we do not know what’s. The Lifeless Do not Die is in theaters now. https://www.eonline.com/information/1049629/a-change-of-scenery-a-commitment-to-service-and-a-social-media-cleanse-inside-selena-gomez-s-year-of-rebuilding?cmpid=rss-000000-rssfeed-365-topstories&utm_source=eonline&utm_medium=rssfeeds&utm_campaign=rss_topstories The post A Change of Surroundings, a Dedication to Service and a Social Media Cleanse: Inside Selena Gomez’s Yr of Rebuilding appeared first on Kartia Velino. https://kartiavelino.com/a-change-of-scenery-a-commitment-to-service-and-a-social-media-cleanse-inside-selena-gomezs-year-of-rebuilding/

Find out how to Combine Objective Into Your B2B Content material Technique
Invoice Gates’s “Content material is king” remark has by no means been more true for B2B firms than it’s proper now. The digital world has modified issues… for the higher. Entry to data has by no means been simpler, and we have all turn out to be used to the thought of instant gratification. We do not wish to anticipate issues we wish, and we definitely do not wish to sift by means of a ton of knowledge to determine what we’d like (who has the time?!).
So, if content material is king, simplicity is queen—and types have to be prepared with a technique that delivers each.
To succeed in shoppers and supply superior buyer experiences each time, we have to ship content material that is streamlined, easy, and private. To that finish, we have to perceive what’s essential to patrons—and a rising variety of patrons cite shared-purpose as a cause to purchase from (and work for) an organization.
Current analysis by Cone underscores that truth:
78% of shoppers say firms should do extra than simply earn cash; they need to positively affect society, as properly.77% say they really feel a stronger emotional connection to purpose-driven firms over conventional firms.66% say they might swap from a product they usually purchase to a brand new product from a purpose-driven firm.68% say they’re extra prepared to share a purpose-driven companies’ content material with their social networks than they might conventional firms’ content material.
And if you wish to construct a robust and thriving workforce, goal is once more a key differentiator in attracting and retaining high expertise. Millennials, who will make up 75% of the workforce by 2025, are actively looking for socially accountable employers. They’re the “goal over paycheck” technology (and Gen-Z is arising proper behind them, and doubling-down. Are you prepared?)
If you happen to’re a content material marketer, it is time so that you can work your organization’s social goal into the items you are producing.
Know Your Objective
Corporations have to be clear on their company goal if they will work it into a robust, evolving content material technique. And that goal must be genuine and relatable. It additionally must encourage.
That sounds good, however how do you discover that goal?
Discuss. Share. Collaborate. Interview clients about what issues most to them. Discover out what your audience is obsessed with and see the way it aligns to your small business. Above all, speak to folks at each degree in your personal firm to type out what issues most them. If you happen to rely solely on executives to make these selections, you may have a goal that feels disingenuous and trite.
Defining a extremely particular social goal marks a transparent path to observe when creating content material about what issues most to your organization and about how one can ship worth to your purchasers.
However this is the factor: It is not sufficient to outline your goal; you should proceed to hone it over time. Doing so displays authenticity and a robust dedication to utilizing your small business as a pressure for good, which shoppers love.
The extra an organization grows, the extra alternatives it’s important to assist resolve among the most urgent social points dealing with us in the present day.
Content material With Coronary heart
As soon as your social goal is outlined and your organization is absolutely dedicated to creating it a actuality, you are prepared to start out producing content material.
Take into consideration the kind of content material that grabs folks. As a rule, it tugs at your heartstrings and strikes an emotional chord. Merely, it leaves you desirous to be higher and do higher. That is purpose-driven content material!
To make sure you seize the voice of your organization authentically, get enter and suggestions on blog-post angles, video concepts, and infographics—from all ranges within the firm. And know your buyer base intimately. Have a look at what’s trending with them, and benefit from alternatives that permit you to join with them from a goal standpoint. Nobody did this higher than Nike with their current Colin Kaepernick advert. Though there was preliminary outrage amongst some clients, Nike knew its core viewers and it aligned its message to that bigger and rising viewers. It paid off in spades!
Even for those who’re engaged on content material that is not purpose-driven in nature, it is OK to weave in company social accountability (CSR) messaging, if doing so is sensible. It retains the corporate’s dedication highlighted, however it could possibly additionally present an edge over the competitors.
Account-based advertising (ABM), as an illustration, is a constant theme within the B2B advertising world, so discovering a solution to join your goal to ABM efforts is a brilliant transfer.
Case research are a great way to include purpose-based messaging whereas exhibiting how properly your group carried out for a purchaser, particularly if that consumer signed on no less than partially due to your social mission. There is not any higher advertising on your social packages than having a buyer clarify the way you contributed to their success.
Measure Your Objective
Measuring your purpose-driven content material is not any totally different from measuring different content material you produce. It is essential to carry your purpose-driven content material as much as the identical requirements.
Have a look at inbound site visitors. Is your piece about enhancing the talents of incarcerated ladies bringing in as a lot site visitors as your article about your new service providing? It’s essential measure what’s driving site visitors, filling your pipeline, and changing to gross sales. It’s essential establish what’s working, what’s not, and the way to make changes alongside the way in which.
For instance, in recognition of the Fourth of July vacation, I wrote a weblog put up for our firm about what freedom means to me. As a lady incarcerated however actively working to higher my life, my definition of freedom is probably going totally different from yours. In writing about that, I put my firm’s goal entrance and middle, but in addition made it private. We measured the piece and noticed that it carried out higher than every other content material on our weblog. We knew instantly that readers felt an emotional connection to an authentically written story.
Our purchasers shared that weblog put up with others, and it took on a lifetime of its personal. The word-of-mouth advertising introduced new folks into the dialog on how we do enterprise—with social accountability on the forefront.
* * *
Your content material technique is greater than a advertising initiative; it ripples by means of your total group and turns into the heartbeat of your workforce. Whether or not you are producing blogs, movies, overviews, or different content material assets, if your organization has a robust social mission, there’s room for it in these items.
As all the time, take a look at what issues to your consumer base and measure what reaches them. In case your social goal is significant and genuine, you may be pleasantly stunned by how properly your purpose-driven content material overperforms.
Actionable takeaways:
Get alignment in your company social goal and perceive the corporate’s dedication to it earlier than you produce any associated content material.Search enter from all ranges of the corporate on what to supply and the way your social messages resonate.Produce content material that is particular to your social goal, however do not be afraid to sprinkle your socially accountable messages into your non-purpose pushed content material, too, if it is sensible.Measure all of your content material the identical method. What’s driving site visitors, filling your pipeline and changing to gross sales. Objective-driven content material is not above having to contribute to the underside line.
