It was because of that rescue that the original Phantom Thieves discovered that the Metaverse had somehow opened back up again after sealing itself nearly two decades ago

It’s unknown how they got into the Metaverse, but Fuyuki thinks it might’ve had something to do with their parents kicking them out after a fight

Stays with the Kitagawas post rescue and is eventually adopted by them

Isn’t sure what they want to do, but they do love hanging out with their new friends and learning about the good of the world after living in so much negativity

Strategist of the Phantom Crusaders

Sometimes has a very weird ability where when they fall asleep, they will wake up in a Metaverse variant of the Kitagawa house and has to have somebody get them back to the real world

i just had the BEST idea for a fanfic

so akechi joins the phantom thieves right. and he wants to gain their trust right. so he tries to hang out with all of them, ANY of them. right

yusuke takes joker and ryuji out to the planetarium, akechi asks to come along, they all look at each other in a certain way and go, "sorry... but you're not really... apart of this."

and akechi's really confused on what that means, but just ignores it because whatever he doesn't need them anyways

makoto, ann, and haru are all going out to get crepes together, akechi asks to come along, they all look at each other in a certain way and go, "um... well it's kind of a personal thing, so... no, sorry."

and akechi doesn't understand why it's personal, but then he assumes it's just their girls night thing or whatever

so then futaba. futaba, carrying a protesting morgana in her arms, asks akechi, "hey, the others are out being all sappy and gross with each other. wanna watch my little pony with me and this guy?"

akechi obviously does not want to watch my little pony. but this is the only person who has willingly invited him into their space, so he puts aside his shame and agrees.

as he sits with futaba and morgana, watching cartoon ponies run around on her tiny laptop screen, he thinks about the wording of "sappy and gross". why is going to the planetarium sappy? why is getting crepes gross?

and he thinks a little harder. right now, he's watching a cartoon about friendship with this girl, who could be out with any of the other two groups, but is instead staying out of it and enjoying this show with a cat. she hasn't labelled this sappy or gross, even though she has a human with her as well, so why is this different from-

"holy shit", he thinks.

"they're all queer."
