Peter Lenkov finally admitting he wasn't passionate about MacGyver, contrary to Magnum and H50.
It was just a job for him.
Yes sir, we noticed that as well.

Blood brothers? Dumbest thing I've read in ages. He is implying that gay characters can't have mutual respect? He is a homophobic ass. A dinosaur who knows nothing about gay relationships because he was never interested in McDanno. All he did was destroying the characters. He made Danny the comic-relief sidekick of a Teflon hero. For him, the over-the-top action counted more than any character development. And he loved to thrive on toxic relationships.
Concernig s11, it was him who pointed out, he knew that s10 would probably the last season. Now he suffers Alzheimers it seems...
I don't understand why fans still believe these lies... He got booted by CBS for his abusive behaviors OVER DECADES. He also went on a rant about Lucas. What a lying sack of sh** he is!
Sorry for venting

Having watched thru to the end of Hawaii Five O, I immediately ran to read all the fix-it’s and post-22 stories I could find. Still reading them.
And I’m thinking a lot about this H5O fandom (to which I came too late) and open vs closed canon fandoms.
Hmm. See, I get that fans go where the fannish energy is. But I hope fans who moved elsewhere get what a gift we got at the end of Five-O. Yes, Peter Lenkov is a putz in every way. But his bid to throw Steve and Catherine together on that plane was seriously awkward. And fans have written stories highlighting why that is. Clearly, Cole contacted Catherine re the cipher and told her about Steve’s plans. But, while Cole might not have known better, she sure should have. And her showing up makes her look so much more like Doris.
Now, if Steve had called Cath first, I might have believed the two might be okay together. But.. there was nothing there—no indication at all that Steve was pining for her while she was gone on her mission. And that handholding? Nothing compared to the hospital scene.
ETA: and the dialogue on the plane? Very, very odd. And awkward.
So… closed canon means there’s nothing Lenkov can do to eff things up further. The McDanno playground is ours, people!

I’ll be disgusted with Peter Lenkov forever for ruining my H50 love and enjoyment in the final retcon ooc 3 min of the series.

The difference between fan-service and baiting (to me)
For me personally, if the "fan-service" is about a non-canon ship and is coming from a showrunner/writer, then its baiting (queer or straight) because its clearly being used to keep the fans of that ship tuning in. Because I've never known a single one of these guys ever followed through. And I'm not talking about possible will they won't they ships where it's all established in canon. - Both Jeff Davis and Peter Lenkov used their top ships (Sterek and McDanno) to keep the fans on the hook, with absolutely no intention of following through.
To me, fan-service is small inconsequential stuff that's basically a nod to the fans. An 'if you know you know' thing done on the screen. It's Dean mentioning split-pea soup at the end of the supernatural episode Usual Suspects, it's the tour guide mentioning Gilmore Girls in the episode Hollywood Babylon. It's not posting a picture of a ship with no context and tagging the ship name, knowing full well that the fanbase is going to go feral over it. These guys know what they're doing, and it's not fan-service.
Basically, as fun as it can sometimes be to know a showrunner/writer is 'supposedly' pro (insert ship name), it isn't fun when nothing comes of it but disappointment. So I would much rather they keep my ship's name out of their mouths. When they've prove they can be trusted to actually follow through, then they can talk about it to their hearts content, because my hope is not a toy for them to play with.

The Wild West has gone to Hell, literally, and the world's best hope of being saved lies in the gun-slinging hands of Sheriff Roy Pulsipher (Jeffrey Donovan) as he becomes the newest officer for the Rest In Peace Department (R.I.P.D.) enforcing the afterlife's laws. If the Old West was wild while he was alive, wait until Roy sees how weird it gets once he dies. Roy thought joining the R.I.P.D. would give him a chance to revisit his daughter and solve the mystery of his murder. Instead, he has his holsters full with havoc and hellfire when he's given a mission to stop a dangerous demon from opening a portal to the underworld. The fate of the living and the dead now depends on Roy and his partner Jeanne (Penelope Mitchell), a mysterious swordswoman, as cowboys clash with creatures and undead insanity unleashes apocalyptic chaos.
Pre-order R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned.
