UHM... wait, what... like, authorized?

According to this site, Germany's largest theme park Europa-Park will launch a Phantom of the Opera roller coaster ride. it is described as a 360-degree experience where the visitors wears a VR headset, they enter a pre-ride room and finally the ride itself. It opens this spring, according to the plan. Someone on YouTube seems to have tried it out already, but no visuals.

Currently reading the original 'Phantom of the opera' but I have a soft spot for 'Phantom' by Susan Kay.

Honestly, this book has the best last sentence of all the books I ever read! It is one of my favourites, and therefore got a little drawing from me :)

kann sein das das nur ich bin, aber ich hab in letzter Zeit irgendwie mehr Spaß mit den deutschen Texten von Phantom der Oper (dem Musical) als mit den Englischen.

idk, kann sein dass ich momentan einfach mit englischen Medien übersättigt bin. Und dann hat Phantom auf Deutsch einfach noch ein bisschen mehr Charme/novelty als auf Englisch.

(dazu muss auch gesagt sein dass ich Phantom jetzt ungefähr schon zigtausend Mal auf Englisch gehört hab. irgendwann gewöhnt man sich auch einfach dran lol)

aber wirklich jedes Mal wenn ichs mir auf Deutsch anhör denk ich mir mittendrin immer wieder 'boah nice, das war ein richtig gutes Wortspiel'.

z.B. die Notes I Szene - wo dann der Brief an Raoul als einziger Du anstatt von Sie benutzt. Und ich saß da wirklich; *klatscht wie ein Seehund* "OH mein Gott, das hat er nicht grad gemacht!!"

(ich bin aber auch einfach relativ leicht zu beeindrucken lmao)

The first ever Phantom Retrospective documentary is here! This one is on the 1916 lost film Das Phantom der Oper and includes a detailed synopsis.

It is the first of hopefully many to come. Feel free to suggest topics for other videos, though I am avoiding ALW topics for the foreseeable future - the goal is to do things not covered by professional documentaries.

On a different subject, I do not like to do this but we are in the process of getting our things moved to a new house and the taxes my parents owe are no small amount... five figures (USD). And that's on top of my personal debt. So I am accepting donations. I only have PayPal currently but I can get Zell or Venmo or whatever else if necessary.
