Pilots Of Darsalon is a new indie style arcade game very much based on the gameplay created by iconic arcades such as Lunar Lander and Gravitar from Atari. It's a thrust and propulsion based games that has the player picking up and delivering cargo on each mission. You are awarded a score for how you perform in each mission with points awarded for time, enemies destroyed and fuel used and pick ups. With deductions for damage to the cargo and lives lost.

Mastering the controls and feel of the ship takes a little getting used to and once you have the cargo in toe you have to be extra carefully as one wrong move can see you and it go up in a blaze of glory. Fortunately you can generate a shield to protect you from incoming enemy fire and timing it's use just right is key to avoiding damage. Solid retro synthesized music and 16 bit style graphics. It includes a in-game gif maker program and has a host of difficulty settings for players of all skill levels. Our only gripes is the ship could move a touch faster at maximum thrust and there is a range of retro screen options, but not one to turn them all off, we just had the mock scan lines option on in this video.
