First of all, thank you so much @amortentiaboys for the tag, you’ve literally made my day! I absolutely adore your ficlets! 2020 was a weird one, but still, I managed to find an amazing creative place through the incredible @drarrymicrofic, even with the language barrier, and it allowed me to produce some of my favorite writing ever! So, without any further ado, here is my top 5 2020 microfics/ficlets:

Touch

I wrote this one for the prompt candle. It came out very different from my usual writing style, and was very fun to mold into shape. I really love the slight fluffyness, and this was definitely my proudest moment.

Nice to see you

I’m still in love with this one. It’s on the longer side, and took me a long time to finish, but i’m really proud of it. It was my first try with real dialogue, and although I could have done better, it works really well. I absolutely adore Blaise Zabini, and would literally die for him. Pansy and Neville are a bonus!

Nostalgia

I absolutely HATED this one at first, but it grew on me like a rash, and now I love it so dearly that i’m expanding it into an actual fanfic with the help of a lovely friend of mine. I really took my time experimenting with this one, describing thing differently than I used to, and the final product came out angsty and funny.

Under the Mistletoe

This is a lovely domestic Drarry ficlet, it’s fluffy and sweet. I like the lightness of it, even though this is the shortest one i’ve ever written.

A point of no return

AAAAAAAAA THIS ONE!!! It’s kinda spicy, kinda provocative and SO ANGSTY! Angsty Draco is my favorite Draco!! Writing this made me blush BAD and honestly, reading it makes me blush too. I love it anyways.

last song: I was painting with my mom last night and we were listening to Christmas music, so it was “Blue Christmas” by Michael Bublé. 

last movie: I’ve been in a big Studio Ghibli mood, watching Howl’s Moving Castle for the first time (which I absolutely loved and then found the best Yuri on Ice crossover about it!). So the last movie I watched was Ponyo, which was so good! Miyazaki’s worlds are always so rich and vibrant and full of color and life and beauty—I could easily get lost. I hope that one day my writing can evoke even a fraction of the atmosphere of his works. 

currently watching: The Queen’s Gambit with my mom (which is really making me want to get some cute headbands and skirts!) and Industry with my sister. 

currently reading: besides fic lol?! I’m slowly making my way through Adrian Tchaikovsky’s Children of Time  which is good but so very different from fic. 

currently craving: Since it’s the holiday time, and I am a big fan of holiday beverages, I’d love some eggnog (not the alcoholic kind atm, but there’s a time and place for that ofc)
