We had Pomfret curry today. Debarshi got the fish from a local shop and prepared the curry. We had it with steamed rice and ghee and some air fried alu bhaja (potato fries). I made a reel but as an experiment I shot it horizontally 😊 I’m so new to making reels hope you will like it 😌 I will try to make another in Instagram worthy mode some other time. Easy to cook Pomfret recipe

Everyone loves seafood and fresh fish and even those who do not consume much fish in their everyday life, cannot resist a delicious pomfret dish. One can buy fish and seafood online in Mumbai for the most heavenly fish dishes and they are sure to surprise your guests. Here are some pomfret recipes to cook up a storm. Thanks to online delivery options, now one does not have to plough through the fish markets to make some amazing dishes.

· Tawa Pomfret: To do this, one has to buy fresh fish online in Mumbai to get the best quality Pomfret. Use a tawa to make this and make it really hot. Add some oil and infuse it is with fresh garlic. Now lightly press the pomfret on it and in low heat turn it this way and that till it is evenly crisp. Add spice like cumin and coriander powder to bring out the flavor. Add seasoning. Cover the tawa with a lid from time to time to prevent the fish from losing its moisture.

· Grilled Pomfret: One would need the best quality seafood online in Mumbai to make this dish. This is a continental dish where the fish has to be marinated beforehand with some spices and herbs. One could use oregano, thyme and rosemary to coat the fish. Make some slits on both sides for the flavor of the herbs to penetrate inside the fish and cover it with a foil. After an hour or so, coat the fish in butter or oil and put in on the grill to roast.

· Goan Pomfret Curry: Buy pomfret online in Thane Andheri before you make this dish. This is tangy and spicy recipe and it is absolute favorite and a must in any Goan ceremony. The oil is first tempered with mustard and coriander seasoning and then the fish is fried. A tamarind paste is added along with coconut milk and coriander and cumin are added for taste.

· Pomfret Maacher Jhaal: Clean whole pompret online delivery is needed to make this dish or you could also buy it fresh from the market. This is a very traditional Bengali recipe and the flavor of the green chillies is to be predominantly found here. The fish is cleaned and coated with salt and turmeric and kept aside. Next, the oil is tempered with green chillies and kalonji. Some pepper can also be added. The fish is to be first fried separately and then added to the gravy and allowed to simmer.

· Orange Pomfret: This is a wonderfully tasty dish and has a very unique flavor. Orange juice is first extracted and kept aside. The pomfret is to be first fried separately and then a concoction is to be prepared by tempering the oil with dry red chillies, bay leaves and cinnamon. Once the tempering is over, the orange juice is to be added. Add the fried fish and bring it to a simmer. The aroma itself is quite mouthwatering.
