JoJo Figure Buying Guide Real Action Heroes
JoJo Figure Buying Guide Real Action Heroes
It’s been a while! Truth be told, I’ve been busy with other things, but I really wanted to keep going with these JoJo buying guides since they’re very fun to compile and (hopefully) helpful to other fans. 🙂
The Real Action Heroes line is by Medicom Toy. Don’t confuse this manufacturer with Medicos; while their names sound similar, they’re completely unrelated!
Medicom Toy has manufactured the Real Action Heroes (hereby referred to as RAHs) for many years, and have changed their body design several times along the way. The interesting thing about this figures is that they’re incredibly articulated! (Well, the humans are at least.) The downsides to this, though, are that they’re very expensive, and very, very fragile.
The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure RAHs are older, meaning that they’re long out of print and are prone to breaking when posed. I own two of them — Kira and Josuke, and both have shoulder breakage of varying degrees. Now, despite that I do enjoy the line a lot, and I do wish that they’d earn a reprint, but I assume Medicom Toy has lost the license as they have not made a JoJo RAH in 5 years.
Anyway, since there aren’t many RAHs for this series, I’ll comment with my thoughts about a few of them as I list them. Keep in mind that these are old and will be harder to obtain for a decent price, especially if you’re interested in the Stands. The Stands are not articulated, and can suffer from paint problems as well.
Note! This line, as far as I am aware, DOES NOT have any bootlegs! This is great news since it makes it easier to safely buy a figure without worrying about poor quality. This may change in the future but this line has been out for quite some time, so you’d think it’d have been bootlegged by now if it was going to be.
While I’m at it with the bold text, let me also throw out a disclaimer that the Amazon and eBay links are affiliate links that provide me a very small commission of off every purchase. This comes to no extra cost to you, but I want to let you know that they do help me out some! Thank you!

(Note: I believe Pucci is the least expensive JoJo RAH. You can find him for around $100 if you’re patient.)
Whitesnake
Amazon

(Note: While Pucci is cheap(ish), Whitesnake is very, very expensive. I’d say he’s one of the most expensive Stands!)
Part 7 – Steel Ball Run
Gyro Zeppeli (RAH #429)
Amazon
eBay
MyFigureCollection
(Note: Gyro was the first JoJo RAH! Keep his age in mind if you’re interested in him, as he will most likely be extra fragile.)
Hopefully I didn’t miss any; let me know if I did! Remember to check Mandarake and Jungle as well, as they are both options for buying these figures used! Their stock depends on what people have sold back to them, so you may need to check once in a while to see if what you want shows up.
