Tiny little pirate man is complete, The RG Crossbone Gundam. This kit was Sick as hell, looks fucking fantastic. The build was quite fun (except for the parts where I was terrified of losing one of the tiny microscopic pieces) Really glad to finally worked up the courage to build him, as he'd been in my backlog for a little under a year.

RG Goldymarg

Man, this thing just makes me want more units from GaoGaiGar. I've had my eyes on the Brave Gokin versions of Star GaoGaiGar, GaiGo, and GaoFighGar for a while, but still haven't pulled the trigger because of a mix of overall expense, not being in a single location, and Mandarake's shipping being more expensive than other sites. I'd love it if they just did model kit versions of them all since there'd be a lot of shared engineering, but it's been a while since GaoGaiGar and Goldymarg released with no word, so only time will tell if we'll see any other members of GGG.

The Good: Goldymarg is a solid multi-form robot with a very fun build. All the weird accordioning the hammer does, all the added joints for transformation, the little tricks it uses to pull off its on-screen details. Goldymarg has a good range of motion in most of its joints, the MargTank has a neat transformation, and the MargHand is heavy but has a better range of finger posability than GaoGaiGar's included hands. It also includes a left hand if you wanted to build a second one, though it doesn't include the palm piece.

The Bad: There are two major downsides to Goldymarg. The first is the pegs that hold the arms in place as MargTank and MargHand are always extended and get in the way of its shoulders. The second is the legs have so many transformation joints that don't really lock into place, which makes them weird to pose. It doesn't help that the ankles come off for the MargTank, and they fall off sometimes.

The Details: For paint, I just applied panel lining. Its colors are very well distributed and replicated, so there isn't much else to do. I used a few of the stickers, including a few of the GGG stickers, all the reflective stickers (excluding the ones other the eyes, which I just panel lined), and the raised plastic stickers.

Overall, it's a great upgrade for GaoGaiGar, and a decent kit on its own. I don't know why you'd want to own it without GaiGaiGar, but if you do manage to get it first, it's a fun time and a decent kit.

I know that it’s another RX-78, but introducing 2.0s to the RG line is a win so I’m probably gonna buy it to encourage Bandai to continue. Hopefully the next RG 2.0 is the Zaku II of which I have complained about in the past. A 2.0 of the Sinanju would also be great since that’s the kit that made Bandai realize they needed to change the RG line to where it is now.

Finally finished with the RG Hi-Nu. The build for this kit is fantastic and the finished product turned out great. The Unicorn aesthetic came through great on the kit thanks to all of the spots the frame shows through on the model.

Gonna take a small break from working on this to finish painting the baby's room and then I'll get started on the Hyper Mega Bazooka Launcher expansion kit.

Okay last one! for now, I built the Real Grade Nu Gundam started, sunday night finished this morning! This one was just to see if I could decently build a Real Grade kit again, and this will probably be my last gunpla post till Christmas comes around, back to art! anyway i'll post my progress and such just so ya'll know how I go about things

Base body done, compared to the a regular 1/144 kit, its very much oversized, but thats fine its big in universe too, just not THIS big

weapons and gear complete, I panel lined the head!

And a small shoot, in a prefect world Id take 20 or 30 photos but I dont wanna bore ya'll lol, I DID add a few stickers too!, I also watched Char's counterattack before building and its a GREAT movie

If you like gunpla you owe yourself, this thing pays for itself

Picked this up while I was out getting a stand for the ZZ once it’s finished. Never built a Real Grade before, but the person working there told me this and the Gold Frame were good ones, and I didn’t want to spend another $50+ on the Nu, High Nu, or Zeong just yet.
