Fluffy Rebellimon

Rebellimon is quite the tinkerer, he'll take anything that one could consider junk and he'll make something unique with it if he can't put it to use for his own body. Because of that, he makes his loved ones a lot of fun trinkets and little silly toys and enjoys giving them repurposed items quite a lot.

Rebellimon gets overjoyed when presented with something that he can affix to himself that might add onto him more than he already has. Even the smallest decal he can put on himself he'd love and cherish.

He likes to be loud!! And he loves to have someone with him who enjoys it just as much! Loud music, loud bikes, whatever can be loud, he enjoys and wants to have a bit of fun as he and his partner mess about and find trails to ride on.

Speaking of, he will let his partner ride on his shoulders to get them around places. He wants to go fast, and he enjoys getting them from place to place, all they have to do is ask! Though, they might want to invest in some noise canceling headphones if they can't stand the loudness of his engines.

Rebellimon likes to find trails and places he and his partner can make as much noise as possible and ride to their hearts content. He just enjoys the freeness of it, and it's especially a great feeling in the Digital World, all the vast land that he and his partner can ride across without being told to stop!

But when he's not riding around, he does like to sit and be cared for, cuddles and everything in-between. Especially after a long day or riding around and keeping himself clean and in tip-top shape.

Well, it's been 32 hours since Twiggy and Junkyard's last evolution, so that must mean my horrible sleep schedule racked up too many care mistakes for the babies. Not to worry, for pendulums have an awesome feature for such cases...

Jogressing! With this feature, you can take two 'mons who have failed to evolve and give them a new opportunity to evolve! I love Jogressing/fusion as a concept so damn much in v-pets. Like, I could go on and on about it... fuck it, I think I will!

Jogressing is such a multipurpose tool at your disposal. Did your 'mon fail to evolve? Fuse it with another mon to push it further beyond! Got a duplicate while trying to complete a library on your device? Fuse it with another 'mon and get one out of two/three unique evolutions that are only available via Jogressing. Do you ever just wonder " what would happen if my dolphin 'mon fused with my kiwi bird 'mon"? Fuse them and find out! There's just so much you can do with it and I love it!

Anyways, back to the logging. So once we Jogressed, who did we get?

Holy shit!!! These are amazing 'mons to get on account that I love both of them so much! Twiggy became an Orochimon, a badass multi-headed cyborg snake that manages to look absolutely ADORABLE in sprite form, and Junkyard became a Rebellimon, another badass cyborg 'mon that is just pure badassery and the perfect evolution to a goober like Ogremon! Bob Ross really was right when he said, "There's no such thing as mistakes, just happy accidents" cuz MAN this run is going fantastically!

As per usual, I made them fight to see what they're capable of. It seems that Twiggy lost her cockroach "invulnerability" ability after evolving because she got a proper beating this time around. It was a close fight, though, as Twiggy almost had her 2nd win in a row against Junkyard. If they can manage that well against each other, hopefully the coliseum will be a breeze for these two!

デジモンゴストゲーム62話ご視聴ありがとうございました! Thank you for watching Digimon Ghost Game episode 62! (And also episode 56 too, but I didn’t have time to write a post when that one aired, the bottom 3 drawings are the practice I did to learn how to draw CannoWeissmon). In episode 56 I helped out with most of the fight between CanoWeissmon and the fox spirit that Kuzuhamon summoned. For episode 62 I worked on the final bit of the episode, starting with Hiro yelling “BREAQUASAR” until the credits. (Links lead to both scenes in sakugabooru). I don’t particularly have anything interesting to say but I will still try, so see you after the cut! 

For episode 56 I got to work with Shishido-san, probably one of the best action directors at Toei. He was the director on the Rebellimon episode of Adventure 2020 as well as the final fight between Abbadomon and Omegamon in the finale. You can really see this episode had a star strut cast in terms of animators (Takeru Shinozuka, Yuu Yoshiyama, Ryo Onishi, Nobuhiro Nogata), and it’s incredibly honoring and humbling to be alongside them.

When the episode air I was very aware of the chasm that exists between the top animators and me, and I feel like I’m super annoying to my friends when after an episode airs all I can do is complain about my work, but I’m impatient, I would like to be at their level now, haha. But that’s not how this works, so all I can do is keep trying my best.

For episode 62 the director was a duo of the two Hatano. Morio Hatano as storyboarder and Kohei Hatano as episode director, I really like their style for action, it feels very tactical. Layouts for this episode were drawn during the holiday season, and I really thought I could pull it off comfortably but I’ve been having horrible sleep issues since december so it’s been hard for me to keep a schedule. 

The anime industry is hard, but Toei has been very nice and understanding, if they weren’t I don’t think I would still be trying to find my footing. I want my next scene to be the best I did for Ghost Game, so see you then!

Trying to redesign Goblimon again and I like the result a lot! As you can see I did it already some time ago, but I wasn't very satisfied with it (Last one is the original design for reference)!

I like it way more now! I experimented a bit with colours, and it will keep the mace/baseball mace because I like it a lot! Very punkish! I will design an ultimate too, cause I like rebellimon, but I don't think it fits Titamon very much! I'll probably go for a Cyclop design (still an humanoid mythological monster! And Greek, like Titamon!)

ive watched digimon adventure 2020 like 7 times and i think i deserve to infodump about it >:)

first of all - whats with all the taichi/yamato parallels?? like- i get ith they were present in DA (1999) and a bit in DA 02 but not as much as in the reboot. (BUT WHERE IS THE VENOMVAMDEMON SCENE WHERE THEY HOLD HANDS HUH??? TOEI EXPLAIN YOURSELF—)

second - I. LOVE. THE. ANIMATION. especially in the fighting scenes?? like holy shit- istg toei looked at their budget and put it all into the fighting sequences.

third - i was a bit skeptical going into this because we get omegamon immediately (2nd/3rd episode) which is weird since for DA we get it in the movie (not even in the series!!!) but it was scripted and played well (the episode where he appears is titled "war game" hehe) plus omegamon being a sort of otherworldly digimon that can pass through time and space was really cool :)

fourth - negamon is a bitch, like- algomon did *everything* from gathering data to helping with milleniumon's rebirth and all- AND THE BITCH IS THE FINAL BOSS?? mf is a fat spoiled mommy's boy that grew up thinking everithing was his (he did get his ass handed to him so i can respect that)

fifth - etemon and volcamon are married you can't change my mind

fifth 2.0 - OGREMON MY BABY WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE :((( (he did come back as rebellimon but still) him and leomon were deffo married in DA

sixth - i really love the fact that devimon (once he died) wasn't a 100% jerk, he helped takeru and patamon by giving them a hit on negamon and helped seraphimon not to lose himself during the last fight :)

seventh - the fact that digiworld itself called the digidestined is>>>

seventh 1.2 - i loved the fact that during the crest hunt they didn't have to find the ultimate level or smth like that but had to find themselves (i am mad at the digevolutions' order was but still-) i think that the main reason why taichi's compass was all wonky like that was because he had to connect with everyone by seeing them being the best themselves.

eight - i didnt really like how they prioritized taichi over everyine else- like i get it- hes the leader and all but still i wanted more episodes focousing on the other members of the group like DA did :( (he is my fav charavter so im not complaining lol-)

ninth - THE COLOURS!!!!!! IM AN ARTIST AND THE COLOUR REP AND PLACEMENT WAS 🔝🔝🔝 everytime we got a zoomed out view of the current fight and each of thrm became like a colored star i screamed

tenth - i think that's it for now?? bc nothing comes to my mind anymore lol- ANYHOW this show was very different from its 1999 original but still absolutely enjoyable 9.5/10 i took .5 off because there were A LOT of fillers (especially between wargreymon amd metalgarurumon) and for a series titled "digimon adventure" i expect every episode to be a bit more adventurous? i guess?? (the most unnecessary one imo was mimi-chan wars (ep 37) for me mimi behaved in avery annoying and bossy/demanding way that i generally didn't like :(

other than that i really hope that they make DA 02's reboot too because it would be so fun :)

Limbus Tamers

The limbus brainrot is terminal and digimon has been worming its way back so why not combine the two together. I’m not the biggest Digimon nerd (mainly watched some Adventure, 02 and Tamers and played Digimon world 3 and Cybersleuth) so I’ve been using Wikimon to help with the evolution lines, while  yes I could just mix and max anything I tried to use Digimon that actually evolve into one another.

I may do another one with Dante, Charon and Vergilius plus any Sinner I want revisit. So onward to my dubious picks!

For Yi Sang I chose this line mostly for his desire to have wings and his association with crows. Plus Yatagaramon is cool.

For Faust I focused on her witch imagery, what with her base E.G.O. giving her a broom and her codename being Walpurgisnacht, and her vast knowledge with Impmon being a stand in for Mephistopheles (I know Mephismon exist I already had settled on witchmon and needed a rookie). AncientWisemon could have gone to Yi Sang since he invented the mirror we use to pull the gacha but it still have that sorcerer vibe.

For La Creatura I settled for the Guilmon line mostly because Gallantmon/Dukemon, being a Royal Knight, fitted with her knightly delusions and also because I remember Guilmon going feral at some points in Tamers. Plus if we go for Dark Digivolutions,when Don completely snaps she could go down the Megidramon (or even ChaosDukemon) route similarly to Takato.

I hesitated a bit with Ryoshu so I ended doing both ideas: I kinda cobbled this one together trying to concile her ties to fire (her E.G.O inflict burn,the “cooking” of the Kebab and that one picture of her burning everything using as her steed) and art with Etemon being a singer and Piedmon being a clown (and circus artist in general).  Plus the Dark Master have throwing knives/swords. 

This one was more was more based on her swordplay and the fact she’s ... ok maybe not “honourable” but she’d rather not do it the “coward’s way”, she straight up refused to disguise herself during the casino heist and wanted to face the Shi assassin head on in Canto IV. So Musyamon popped into my mind and then went up the evo line to try and keep the samurai/ronin theme and Kunemon is here because I couldn’t use Kotemon as it doesn’t digivolve into Musyamon. 

Mr Salt got the Andromon line because he’s very robotic at times, a cog in the machine if you will, plus he is a tank of a man so Guardromon fits well. Also I thought it would be funny if somehow the machine Digimon ended up being more prone to make judgements than its human partner. 

I didn’t know where to go with Hong Lu, I tried with the Devas and little more with Lopmon’s line then I saw QueenChessmon and went “Chess is pastime for hoity-toity rich folk and Hong Lu is a rich boy” and went from there. Not really satisfied but it just clicked in the moment. ... If Hong Lu is playing some 5d chess with us I SWEAR TO -

Another double feature with the other sinner with double seats privilege ... this was completely incidental. This one is based on the brutish side of Heathcliff though Ogremon can be cunning as can our angry british. Titamon is also connected to revenge (specifically against the Olympos XII) so it fits as well. I know Rebellimon doesn’t digivolve to Titamon but fuck it ! I didn’t want Digitamamon on here and that’s the only exception I made, I just wanted to keep mean green demon all the way.

This one came frame from a flash about Telepole Heathcliff and since He’s a bastard I couldn’t him give a regular Gabumon.

I just had to give Fishmael a Whamon because of Moby Dick. As for the rest: I picked Gomamon because I thought it’d be funny to have a laid back partner with how rigid she can be; Dolphmon to transition between Gomamon and Whamon and Plesiomon because it’s a traditional Mega for Gomamon alongside Vikemon.

I must admit being stumped and just going “Waifumon go !”. Might revisit her with a more fitting line sometime.

For Sinclair at first I wanted to give him an avian line then stumbled upon Tsukaimon digivolving into Pidmon and went “time to go the angel route” as a spin on Patamon. Outside of MagnaAngemon (and Angewomon for that matter) I tried not to use Adventure/02 digimon. I picked Dominimon but hesitated between it, ClavisAngemon and SlashAngemon.

For Outism I first wanted to have an Olympos XII member then wondered whether or not there was a trojan horse digimon, Lo and behold there was ! As for the rest I worked my way down : Cherrymon being a duplicitous tree (he tried to manipulate Yamato during the Dark Master arc) fit Outis being suspicious, kiwimon is kind of a filler pick and Alraumon is a fake Palmon. 

Finally for Gregor I picked the Wormmon line though with some changes. I chose Snimon instead of Stingmon to harken to G Corp Gregor and while there’s a roachmon I felt it was too on the nose. As for Bloomlordmon I hesitated with going with GranKuwagamon or HeraclesKabuterimon but leaned more on this one mainly to distance a bit from bugs since Gregor has two plant based E.G.O.

do u have a favourite scene from adventure 2020? mine was when ogremon got reborn as rebellimon and he reminds taichi and agumon to "move forward" 😭 that rlly got me in tears

Doing a Top Five here because Content. I genuinely enjoyed all of these moments, but the fact that it was so hard to recall all the good stuff from Adventure: isn't a great sign. Also I'm mostly filtering the list down to favorite moments from episodes I remember being particularly good, which might exclude some classic bits from episodes that were pretty meh.

5) Yamato Rescuing Takeru (Episode 20)

I mean the first time, against Velgrmon. Yamato just pulls out all the stops in a ridiculous aerial assault to save Takeru, and we see the full power of his determination taking all sorts of punishments to succeed. After worrying about his brother the whole time up to this, it's a good payoff, even if it is sadly the culmination of Yamato's character arc a third of the way through the show.

4) Panchomon! (Episode 43)

Because an episode so completely off-the-rails needs an appropriate bananas climax. Probably the peak in the reboot's pointless fun episodes, the Volcamon vs. Etemon battle has a side effect of making everyone insane, making it the perfect breeding ground for an alternate evolution and one of the few in the series that's both unpredictable and fitting.

3) Taichi Loses His Mind (Episode 24)

The fight against DoneDevimon was the moment we thought we were going to get some layers to Taichi's character. We see him go all-out too many times to count, but this is the one of the few when it looks like there are going to be consequences. Like him losing all his humanity and warping MetalGreymon into some wild berzerker. It was gripping and felt like something that should have been explored again. It wasn't.

2) Sora's Introduction (Episode 4)

After years of OG Sora developing into the feminine mom friend we've come to love, it was a rush being re-introduced to Overly Prepared Adventure Girl. With a Knife! She was up for anything in her debut episode, to the point where even Taichi struggled to keep up with her. It's a shame there wasn't much more to her character beyond this (and I wrote about how the warnings signs were there from her debut) but it was the most cathartic intro of any of the eight.

1) Yamato Joins Proper (Episode 8)

Children's Attack On The Fortress was the one time it really looked like the show had put everything together. Yamato is forced to work with Taichi and his band of newbies, and they manage to overcome rookie mistakes to pull off an impressive tactical victory with everyone on the team playing a role. Yamato's post-battle conversation teases a nice group dynamic, and while the show didn't come close to following through, it was a moment that had us believing we were in for something special.

Rebellimon loved the junkyard - he could get so many parts and he could manage to tinker with things as he could to give to his dear S/O. He loved to give them gifts, showing his affection in the best ways that he could.

His S/O had been making him something special, that's all he knew whenever they'd ask him to look for something specific and he'd quickly go to find it. He really did love to help his S/O out with finding things, or things akin to what they needed, and bringing it back to them. It was one of his favourite little jobs he had with his mechanic S/O.

And when he brought them the final bits they needed, they finally presented him with the gift they had been making and messing with to make it perfect for Rebellimon: a hand-shaped prosthetic, that would surely fit and work for him. Rebellimon was rather ecstatic and highly flattered by such a gift!

His S/O saw it as a way for them to safely hold hands, so long as Rebellimon didn't go too overboard with his strength and all. But, being how he was, they believed Rebellimon would be able to control himself and how harshly he grabbed at things with this new hand.

And Rebellimon took to it greatly, immediately snatching his S/O's hand in his own after he gave a few test squeezes and the like to calibrate it as he preferred. He was fairly happy that they could really hold hands, and he could touch his S/O without worry of hurting them with what he usually had on his arms.

Cuddles were certainly nice, too. As much as Rebellimon enjoyed resting his head on his S/O's lap and such when the day was out and they could both res, he really enjoyed holding his S/O close and wrapping his arm around them, keeping them secure on him as he nuzzled into them and let out a noise that was akin to a motorized purring. Soft and rumbling enough to not be a bother, but nice enough to lull one to sleep.

Update: VVademon and GranKuwagamon passed but I just drew a Vademon memorial, GranKuwagamons sprite is complex as hell, and I'm worn out after a week of movie theatre work and writing for class so the memorial photos come later.

GranKuwagamon's egg became an Agumon and he is filled with bloodlust and hasn't stopped fighting since evolving.

Rebellimon came out of cold storage and evolved into Gundramon (and is no longer allowed in malls).

BanchoMamemon is doing his best Daisuke Ono impression, but sounds much more like Yoko Ono.
