**Beyoncé's latest album 'Cowboy Carter' spotlights Linda Martell, a pioneer and trailblazer who paved the way for Black country music artists, as she was the first commercially successful Black female artist in the genre.
Pity the sheer fools who doubted she could do this. Haven’t you learnt by now not to box Beyoncé in? She doesn’t do genres, they bend to her. I guarantee you’ve never heard a country song like ‘Spaghetti’ or ‘Tyrant’ but I dare you to label it otherwise. If you didn’t know by now, this is not a woman to cross. If you don’t believe me, listen closely to “Jolene.” Seriously, her version had my jaw on the floor.
For a project born out of not feeling welcome in a world, this is the kind of dominant creative chess move that shows you actually belonged on top of it all along. Actually, scratch that. The only place Beyonce has ever belonged is a universe entirely of her own making, built on history, grind, fearless creativity and pure power.

I love this album, too. It’s such a vibe. Reminds me of when my hood ass used to sneak and listen to artists like Jewel and Brett Young back in the day, so this has me living!!! 🤠🤣
And yes! Sis really gave us a 27 song tracklist, but my favorite tracks are:

Via @atlblackstar The rodeo aesthetics of Beyoncé’s next album are drawn deep from her Texas roots. Fans are noticing that the album cover of ‘Cowboy Carter’ is an homage to Black Western history, especially as a celebration of Black cowgirls.
Rodeo Queens play a huge role in facilitating Western events, selected similarly to a pageant queen. There are Black Rodeo Queens throughout history and even now, but they are still highly underrepresented and overlooked.
