John listens to folk punk and whatever genre Lore Huron and Hozier are. (also a bit of vocaloid, solely because of Shelby)
Theodore listen to like. Cool electronic music. Haven't determined the exact genre but its very Computer
Once again I don't know the genre but I think Leo doesn't quite have a favorite genre? Since his memories got blasted he's not quite sure anymore, but in my brain I associate him with Matt Maeson a lot since I was listening to his songs a bunch when creating him.
Annabelle's setting has a 1920s kind of vibe (at least the kingdom she lives in does), and so she enjoys that kind of old-timey jams!
Ven and John actually have like, really similar music tastes, sans the vocaloid bc it doesnt exist in Ven's universe. Folk Punk is Ven's guilty pleasure
I... I don't think Apollo listens to music. Like I dont think the City has any save for idk, Latin choirs or whatever.

Theodore admitted during the White House Heist (have I even told yall about that) that he's been thrown out of a window before
Theodore's got a roommate named Steve and like. He was only around for the first session and I miss him sm, that guy was great
Theo please stop skipping your fucking classes
Ven likes peppermint tea. Peppermint tea is also known to help with headaches, which he gets a lot!
Shelby was 22 when she met John (aka hit him with her car)
Shelby was also intended to be a self-insert when I first made her; she was the Mundane for MoTW, but then I got to wondering "what if she and John were friends" and the rest was history
She's also a twitch streamer solely bc i realized she needed a job and that was the funniest option to me
John's limbs are very long in proportion to the rest of his body! His arms are like, Super Long
Rhidian dislikes touch; not only because it's been a Very Long Time since anyone's touched him, but also because he wants the first person he touches to be his girlfriend- once she gets a physical body, of course (they are going to hold hands and kiss <3)
Annabelle is So Adamant in the fact she's not part of Warrick's family; she's his secretary, and not his daughter, thank you very much- but she always participates during Family Game Night
She also would like collecting vinyls :-)
Leo's heterochromia happened because I couldn't determine which eye color he should have, and so I gave him Both
His eyes have become my Favorite Thing about them, and there's like. So much symbolism in them dude. I'd ramble more but my fellow VtM players follow me here.
On the subject of Leo, he was originally created in 2020 as an entity that lived in TV static and would try to drag people in, as he was desperate for company- as you can see, he's changed A Lot from his original concept
Leo's original concept has since been recycled for a potential Rapture Heights monster that I've taken to calling Hijack.
Apollo and Leo both have a habit of holding their hands together when they miss their partner/exes- and it's actually a habit I myself have picked up.
John's whole NotDeer thing started because I had told a librarian about him, and admitted I didn't know what kind of monster he was yet- and she asked if he was a deer monster due to his last name. Thank you Ms Librarian u changed his entire trajectory thank u <3
Did you know there's a visual novel about a character also John Doe? He's eerily similar to mine in terms of visual, I think
Valentine was created after/ while I was reading the DIE comic series- the main character's scene in prison was the main inspiration for him.
Due to enchantment magic having the potential to be used for Awful Things, I explicitly made Valentine to be a sex-repulsed asexual, and intended for him to be aromantic as well.
Valetine killed Velma (yeah, from Scooby Doo) during his one-shot
Oh, and fun fact about me: in my dnd server, I'm the reason there's a rule stating that one-shot characters need to be able to breathe <3

2016 in Review
The New Year....A time for new ideas, new beginnings and ultimately CHANGE! Alot can happen in a year, and I have found that 2016 has really proven itself to be one of the ones I will find hard to forget. My life over the last 12 months both personally and professionally have come a long way and I have grown so much as a person. So, ahead of pastures new, I thought I’d reflect on some of the biggest highlights I’ve had over the last 12 months in this blog!
But let’s start from the beginning....
Initially upon entering the year, I made a vow to myself that I would get work in Radio in some format, or that I would at least have progressed forward with my chosen career path in some way albeit paid or not. I just wanted to really grab the bull by the horns and make bigger strides than I had done previously.
I’m pleased to say I think I achieved my goal and then some! This year I had the fantastic oppourtunity to do work experience at some of the biggest radio stations in the country. In February, I worked at London’s Capital FM in Leicester Square as part of their charities department and, following on from that, I played a role in their promo video for a Capital Xtra Music Potential Advert which was then released on all their social media platforms. I have to say, getting to work there was overwhelming to say the least! Global really is a magnificent building both on the outside and in! I’d never seen anything quite like it. It was actually rather overwhelming for me to be in there working as I had only ever walked past it.... Nevermind been in and done work! The vibe there is electric (Excuse the pun) and the whole experience was rather surreal to say the least as ever since I started I’d always wanted to work with Global in some capacity. Having realised this dream only 2 months in, definitely set the tone for what was to be an amazing upcoming year!
After a truly incredible time in London, I had to expand upon my growing knowledge but possibly a little closer to home as living 270 miles away from the city isn’t ideal really! My next stop lead me to the newspaper ‘Mansfield Chad’ offices. I’ve always had an interest in journalism and wanted to broaden my writing skills. So this was another really good chance to do that and quite a different environment in comparison to that of a radio station setting.
It was again for another week, in which I gathered vox pop’s, edited articles to be used in the coming days and I even managed to get a few people in the paper who I knew needed publicity for their growing busineses so giving back to the community in that respect was very fufilling.
It was a steep learning curve at the life of a journalist and it’s no easy feit I can safely assure you! But an experience I can take with me anywhere I go which leads me to my next placement...
The Lincs FM Group in Doncaster saw me join their News Team at Trax FM (One of their sister stations) for 1 week. I’d never previously done anything (other than the Mansfield Chad) that was particulalr newsy and in terms of a radio station, a department at which I’d not ventured into before, so joining the team there was certainly an eye opener. They used software I hadn’t come across before, and it was interesting to see how they put bulletins together and gathered their material. It was a fun placement, although I don’t think Trevor McDonald will be quaking in his boots at the prospect of me reading the news any time soon!
My Final placement of the year came later on when I was to intern at one of the bigger radio stations in the Bauer Media Group “Hallam FM”. On this placement I helped their programmer Simon Nicks, and (once Simon had left) his succesor Rhidian Jones, with editing audio, creating audio, filming for radio segments and also some street teaming segments that were used across their social media platforms. This placement I have to say was much more interwined with what I want to do in the future in radio and was in turn, the most fun I’d had with all the radio stations!
I was involved both on and off air, sitting in on their drivetime and mid-morning shows with the legends Richie Pearson and Simon Morykin. I also worked with the breakfast shows Leizel when we filmed a part for “Big John’s Rude Awakening” feature. It was definitely encouraging to be around people in radio who really loved their jobs and wanted to create the best content which, to be fair, could be said for all of the placements I’d done. But to know I contributed to their output in a way, made me feel proud and ever the more passionate about going forward.
Ultimately, all of my placements taught me something new each time and furthered me to becoming better in my given roles. Its certainly been a crazy busy year, what with the placements I’ve done aswell as attending masterclasses with the Queen’s Young Leader’s Program. I also attended several personal training courses which consequently saw me qualify in Kettlebell and TRX Suspension Training and still managed to do my drivetime shows at ErewashSound inbetween this....OH! and there was also the slightly small factor that during all of this which no-one really knew about till later on... I’m expecting a baby!
Yep, throughout the most of this year, I kept my pregnancy relatively under wraps.... Mainly for fear I wouldn’t be accepted onto one placement or another due to my current “condition”.
Now then, I know we aren’t in the stone age anymore and pregnancy isn’t looked upon like a disease nowadays, but I didn’t want people in my industry to judge my ability purely on my pregnancy. I wanted to show what I could do and be judged for it without that being taken into consideration. This choice meant I worked until I was 8 months pregnant.... and you know what? I wouldn’t change a thing!
I’ve had some of the best and worst times this year, from a relationship breaking down to finding out I was expecting a baby... to fufiling some of my biggest goals. It really has been a whirlwind! I really don’t know what 2017 holds for me (After this year, to be honest I’ve given up trying to guess!!), but what I do know is that I am thankful for the lessons 2016 has given me... Namely that nothing stays the same, everything and EVERYONE changes in life. When you make plans, God laughs... All You can do is just go with the flow and do the best you can. Be the best you you can be and don’t let anyone try to stop you from doing that. Anything that costs you your inner peace is too expensive!!
For now, going forward, I’m ready to recieve the blessings 2017 has in store for me.
The biggest one, obviously, being my healthy baby boy!!
I hope you all achieve your dreams in the coming year, and whatever it is you didn’t do but wanted to.... go out and get them done! Rewards aren’t given, unless they are worked for!

does rhidian have a tragic backstory?
oh my god yeah man, here's the gist bestie (oops this turned into a full-on backstory let's go):
Many many years ago, there was a scholar; a wizard, a scribe, one who searched for knowledge within a library. And knowledge he found, but the problem is this: Whether it be eldritch horrors or things that Vecna the Lich-God simply doesn't want people to discover, there are things known that shouldn't be discovered.
And so, when it is discovered, there is a curse.
The scholar was turned into a Nothic, a wretched thing with a giant unblinking eye that resembled Vecna's, spikes protruding from its crooked body. As with all Nothics, the scholar lost all memories of its past life, including the knowledge that it ever had one. It was doomed to wander the sprawling shelves with an unending hunger for secrets urged on by instinct, or perhaps the curse, to discover/gather magical items and any kind of knowledge it could get its claws on. It didn't help that its memory was horrible, or that its mind was wracked with madness.
It bargained with others for secrets when needed, hiding behind shelves and in the dark as the rare group of adventurers started to enter this new dungeon; drawing secrets from their minds with its accursed eye. It was a coward; it wasn't the best at fighting, and preferred to run.
At some point, when going through the many tomes, the Nothic stumbled upon one that held a ghost bound within its pages. Her name was Novel; a surprisingly fitting name, but she informed the aberration she had chosen it for herself long before her throat had been sliced open- it's just that she had never quite told anyone.
She asked for its name, and it realized it didn't have one.
"...You can call me Rhidian," he said, for it was the first name that came to mind.
With this newfound companion, he had realized he had been very lonely. So Rhidian carried her around everywhere in fear of losing and forgetting her, and she helped him remember things, and they swapped stories and secrets, and perhaps fell in love.
He promised Novel to one day help bring her back to life; not only so they could finally hold hands and do things that people do, but also so she could finally have the body she was never able to have before she died (this freak is a trans ally we love him for that).
Rhidian eventually stumbled upon a tome about a ritual, and finally realized that, subconsciously, with he search for knowledge and magical items, he had been searching for a way to turn back- and by the Gods, he had been a person once.
The former scholar set to work on the ritual, but it didn't quite succeed- his body was still crooked, with small spikes emerging from his shoulders and dark leathery patches splotched across his skin. Fangs, discolored fingertips, and Gods- one half of his face was still reminiscent of being a Nothic: the leathered flesh was more prominent here, with a giant unblinking eye resting in the socket.
It didn't work. He wasn't perfect.
And he still didn't remember who he used to be. He knows he wasn't always like this; this crooked thing that repeated words and broke out into laughter at inopportune times, with an unsettling air and an unending curiosity that would be surely be its downfall once again.
But there was something new; a calling. Something in the back of his mind urging him to head somewhere.
So the wizard held Novel closer to his chest, hid his horrible eye behind his salt-and-pepper hair, and for the first time in ages, stumbled out of the archives.
There were three goals in his mind:
1) Find out why he was being called somewhere.
2) Find out who he was.
3) Find a way for himself (and Novel) to become perfect (and with Novel, he'd even steal someone else's body for her to use).
He very greatly dislikes mirrors, since those remind him that he failed. He balances between embracing his odd personality and actively hating himself, and pretty much completely falls apart if Novel is taken from him (a combination of being terrified of forgetting her and also being alone); This happened, actually, and he's angry at himself that he was too much of a coward to try and attack the guy who took/threatened her (don't worry, she was given back to him [the guy didn't even know she was a sentient book]).
He's definitely got an obsession with secrets, as well as keeping things fair and even; he aims to get revenge on the man who took and threatened Novel, and isn't above blackmailing people with the secrets he gleams from their minds.
He's not a good person, he's an absolute freak and is the sketchiest motherfucker out there, and i love him sm

I've actually never thought about what flowers I'd associate with him?? It's hard to find flowers that represent like,,, curiousity and its dangers and secrecy and all that, I think.

1. which ocs are the most touch-starved?
Oh my god APOLLO. This man hasn't been touched by another being for as long as he's been in the City, and even then he's not sure how long he's been down there. Literally the best thing he can do to simulate contact is just,,, holding his own hands. This man is gonna Freak Out when he goes up to the Surface and someone shakes his hand.
I'd also like to say Rhidian as well. He's been stuck in a library with only a ghost in a book as his only companion for quite a few years now, and the people who found their way into the library never really wanted to get near him.
15. which ocs are too self-sacrificial?
I want to say Ophelia. She's dedicated her entire life to serving and protecting the town she grew up in, as well as the added tasks of making sure her wife is doing alright. She's always wanted to go to the ocean, but feels bound by her duties to stay home.
However, the more I think about it, Apollo is also a great answer and might be a better answer. Due to his, uh, current worldview, he will in fact do anything Silvidahl tells him to, even if it's self-detrimental.
The more I think about this, the more I realize I've got more self-sacrificial OCs than I've realized. Those are the top two, however. Ios comes in right afterwards, being the Chosen One for a sun cult and all.
22. which ocs are most flexible? which ocs are least?
Amazing question. Gel and Memorja are very close ties for being the most flexible, but that's only because they're both made of slime. The non-slime answer would be Gemma :-) She was a contortionist at a circus!
As for least-flexible, I want to say Zachariah Cain. He is a walking corpse, after all.
34. which ocs are clumsiest? which ocs are graceful?
Hm, I've never given this much thought before. But Monarch is the most clumsiest overlord you will ever meet, there's a reason he's died so many times (besides from eldritch horrors and The Bit). John and Sildar might be close contenders- John walks as if he's new to being in a human body (he is), and Sildar is just very clumsy when he gets nervous- and that happens a lot, since he's not the most charismatic man. He's also like 7 feet tall so yknow.
I think as an Archfey, Reese was incredibly graceful, being a powerful spirit and all that, and I think she'd still try and attempt to mimic that. I feel as if Ceremorph would be graceful as well, being a charismatic cult leader, but for the first few times it took over Ven, it would definitely be in the Most Clumsiest category.
41. which ocs enjoy gazing at the sky?
APOLLO APOLLO APOLLO, Listen!!!! He hasn't seen the sky for fucking ages!!! He canonically enjoys watching the sunrise and he's been underground for so long and aauuuggggh, I feel like he'd just really enjoy seeing it all again but not really realize it, I have many emotions about this man
And while Michael doesn't really enjoy it anymore, he used to do it a lot! With the place he lives in, the sky can be all sorts of colors. Sky-watching's taken a bit of a turn for him, though, ever since he realized it should be blue instead of whatever apocalyptic color the sky decides it should be for the day.
