When he shows up before you in an ice cream truck, the first thing you do is check the date.
“It’s not April Fool’s yet,” you tell him, brows furrowed even as your lips curve up of their own accord. “What are you doing in that thing?”
“Making an honest living,” Marius replies, one arm braced against the counter as he tilts his head at you. From this angle, you can see the sharp slant of his jaw when he grins at you. “Is the pretty lady interested in ice cream? I’ve got every flavour under the sky in my truck.”
You stare at him, torn between exasperation and amusement. This isn’t the first time he’s shown up in an ice cream truck, but this time you aren’t at HoyoLand and he’s not in the signature uniform.
He’s dressed casually. A white T-shirt with a rounded collar sits loosely on his shoulders, and the usual over-jacket is nowhere to be seen. There’s a dark blue apron tied around his waist and neck. Marius looks younger than usual, looking the very picture of a university student sneaking out to do some part-time work. It’s like a breath of fresh air, watching the way his lips curl as he grins at you.
And you’re in a park. You’re honestly surprised there aren’t more kids running up to try and buy ice cream from the handsome man in the eye-catching truck. The sun sets in the horizon, casting a gentle orange glow over the place, and the light catches on the bridge of his knuckles when he braces his palm against the roof to lean out.
“So, what’ll it be, pretty miss?” He asks, eyebrows raised as he smirks at you. “Are you a classic type of girl, or more adventurous? Vanilla, or cereal and milk?”
“You have cereal and milk flavoured ice cream in there?”
“I have everything you want,” Marius says smugly, giving you such a self-assured smile that you can’t help but want to kiss it off his face. “Have your pick. Everything in this truck is at your mercy. And we have an ongoing discount! Two for the price of one, a special treat for our thousandth customer.”
The charm that rolls off him is effortless. You try to resist it, maybe give him a hard time for driving an ice cream truck all the way here, but you’re helpless to the twinkle in his eyes.
You hope it’s not too self-centered to think that he’s here for you. Marius certainly didn’t pick this park out of the entirety of Stellis for no reason.
“Vanilla,” you decide. “Two scoops.”
“You only get to pick one,” he tells you, already ducking back in to scoop ice cream into a cone. “The other one is a surprise!”
You huff, shifting your weight from side to side as you wait for him to be done. Instead of handing you the cone through the main window, however, Marius turns to the door.
The door to the van. As if he intends on leaving.
You stand there, surprised as he does just that—he unties the cute blue apron with his free hand and slips it off his neck, hanging it up as he goes down the steps.
“For the lucky lady,” he says, offering the cone to you with a flourish. “Happy birthday, jiejie.”
The flush rises almost immediately. You put a hand to your face, trying to cover the redness of your cheeks. “I didn’t—how did you know? Did I tell you before, in the past?”
“I checked your ID,” Marius replies playfully, pulling at your hand to drag it away from your face. “No need to hide such a pretty face. Here, one scoop of vanilla ice cream.”
You grab the cone, trying to focus on tasting the ice cream instead of looking at Marius. But you can tell that he’s staring at you, one hand tucked lazily into his pocket as he smiles, and the flush stubbornly stays on your face.
“I thought you said I could get two scoops,” you point out in a weak attempt to change the subject.
As if on cue, Marius puts on the worst shocked expression ever. His eyes go comically wide, mouth dropping open in surprise as he pretends to gasp, and he looks at you like you’ve discovered the secret to world peace.
“Why, jiejie,” he says, smile clinging to his lips once he’s done acting. His fingers interlock with yours, grip tightening slightly like he wants to make sure he’s holding onto you properly, and he tugs you close.
“I said it was a two for one deal. Everything in the truck is at your mercy. Including the ice cream man, you know?”
“You—!”
Marius laughs, swinging your entwined hands lightly as he watches you get flustered. “I’ll get you another scoop if you really want one, jiejie. The actual ice cream man should be coming any minute now. I just borrowed his truck to surprise you.”
Ah, you think, seeing someone round the corner and head straight to the truck. He waves at Marius, giving a meaningful look in your direction, and your fingers twitch around Marius’ hand when Marius nods back.
“How about it?” Marius points at the newly reclaimed ice cream truck. “Want another scoop?”
You shake your head. “I’ve got everything I want right here,” you whisper, and squeeze Marius’ hand.
He blinks, surprised, and then it’s his turn to try and hide his flush behind the palm of his hand.

Semi-Hiatus Announcement!
Hi OP here, been humming and hawing about this but I've decided to go on semi-hiatus for a couple months! There's some projects and illustrations I'd like to work on that don't work very well with my daily format, or even a weekly one.
I'm really glad so many people enjoy my silly scribbles. It's how an inconsistent person like me somehow managed to post nearly 3 months straight (crazy! I started back in August!
If you didn't know already, but OP is a freelance illustrator. That means I normally try to put a little more than 2 hours into my drawings XD I was doing rinseveryday as a break from that grind, but I've got projects lined up that I'm really excited to work on now!
Some are secret, others you've already seen (Rin requests, finishing Spooktober, DTIYS, writing fanfiction, etc). I also want to set up an online shop!
In the mean time, how would you guys feel about me posting Tiny Rins? Which basically mean screen caps from the anime or manga that are specifically drawn very small so they look kind of potato. It'll be a community effort as I personally don't have a lot of time to collect screen caps, but what I do have is this Tumblr url lol.
Tldr; I wanna actually spend time to color my work ToT. Might post tiny Rin's instead for a bit. Thanks for reading!

The funny thing is I've rewatch blue lock cause I'll never get tired of them and my brother literally like I could watch any new anime but I decided to rewatch blue lock back. I didn't pay mind cause god even though i know nothing about soccer but the thrill that it gave makes me love blue lock like.. even up to date with the manga. (Not bcs i want to watch rin and chigiri again. no ofc not-)
No worries though i just left like 4 more episode before finishing blue lock for the second time. I really don't have any idea what anime to watch next even though there's some on hold

hi hi mimi! i missed you too! school started for me and it’s my last year of high school, so i’ve been out of it lol. i did a summer program at a local college so i didn’t even get like a full break 💔💔 it’s been boring since all my classes are just electives to graduate. and tests for college because i didn’t do them previously because of procrastination. i’m out here fixing my wrongs at the last minute 😭😭 OH and i started at a new school so i’m trying to make friends, but everyone thinks i’m fourteen and not seventeen 😔 baby face 👎👎

“Hey, Ran please don’t be a meanie!”
That was the last sentence you wrote in a handwritten love letter you gave to Ran on Valentine’s day. Apparently, some stupid cupid strikes his arrow at you developing butterfly feelings in your stomach. Ran was two years older than you that’s why you don’t have any idea how you could approach him. If it wasn’t for his younger brother, Rindou, you might have just accepted unrequited feelings with his brother. Every time you’re going to approach Ran during break time, Rindou always spends his time with him that’s why you can’t have a proper conversation with Ran only. You thought that your feelings will last forever but you just couldn’t accept that there wasn’t any development between you and Ran. That’s why you thought of explaining everything in a short and pink letter. You used to write long paragraphs but today you wanted to be direct. No fun and games or even excuses. You already knew Ran’s a playful and flirty person, how could you be so idiot to fall in love with a person like that? You recognized your self-worth and the only thing you wanted to do is to finally move on.
“What the fuck is this?” Rindou snatched the letter from Ran
“Now now Rindou I should be the one to read it first.” your crush chuckled as he softly get the letter back.
You remained calm and simply bow to both of them without saying anything. This might have been the last day you see them because you’re definitely sure either one of you will start to avoid one another. As you watch Ran open and read the letter silently, you looked in the other direction to hide your embarrassment. The hallways were too quiet, it was the only three of you staying on the fourth floor. The last chirp of the bird was heard and it was your go signal to finally leave and go home with a bittersweet ending.
“And where are you going?”
Your body gives a sharp shiver. It was the same melody that gave you the feeling of euphoria. You were exhausted, maybe too exhausted to look back where you were standing.
“Why do you care?”
You hold back your tears. It wasn’t there before. You already accepted your fate you and Ran weren’t meant for each other so why do you stutter? You didn’t know the reason why you can’t force yourself to be calm anymore. You can’t move to wipe your tears away as if you were stuck in a frozen time. The difference about it is you can’t stop the tears falling one by one to the floor. Although it is painful, you didn’t want to hear Ran’s reasons anymore.
“Because I’ve always recognized your worth since the beginning. You’re the special person that is worth fighting for.”
“Ran, what-”
“Don’t look at your back, just remain there.”
Everything seems not to make sense anymore that you didn’t know what to do except listen and open your heart once again to him. Your eyes slowly widen, you couldn’t believe it. You heard a slow echo from the cold floor, every footstep became louder than before. No, everything is loud. You could hear your heartbeat as you give soft breathe. You slowly closed your eyes and gave full trust to Ran in what he was going to do. Time went slow when you could feel two arms hugging your back. At last, you felt the same heartbeat. You suddenly felt calm and warm as you smell the familiar scent of Ran.
“Mm? Someone is so anxious here.”
You didn’t say a word but you hid your head in annoyance
“Does that mean you’re mad at me for hiding the truth?”
“You idiot, I’ve already said in the letter to go away from me. How dare you finally confess to me after all that happen?”
“I’m sorry, alright? It’s just you were “too good to be true.” Rin told me the news I’d never expect of.”
“Wait, so that means?”
“Yeah, my brother got a crush on you way before you met him,” Rindou admitted while slanting on the wall.
“Princess, you didn’t have confessed to me, and yet you assumed I rejected you? Well, we sure do have a misunderstanding.” Ran chuckled as you hugged him back.
“Let’s go home.”
“Surely glad to, y/n.”

Good morning, Amelia! (At least, it’s morning when I’m writing this. Lol.) Sorry, it took so long for me to get your request done. Thank you so much for being patient with me.
I just wanted to say thank you for getting me back into KPOP. Lol. Mamamoo’s HIP and 4Minutes’ Crazy are total bops. I used to listen to KPOP so much back when I was in HS. I was crazy into BigBang, 2AM, 2NE1, and Boyfriend. I was in love with Taeyang from BigBang. God, that man is fine asf. I recommend watching ‘I’ll Be There’. Ugh. ToT

Rin is an absolute sweetheart. Like, hands-down the best boyfriend you could ask for. He may be a little clueless from time-to-time, but this guy does his damnedest to show you he loves you.
For instance, if you’re on your period he’d be a little confused why all the sudden you turned into a devil in the shape of his girlfriend. Normal things he would do or jokes he made just seemed to aggravate you. This would lead him to just storming off, confused as to what had gotten into you. He’d confide in Yukio for help on what to do. It’s at this point, thanks to his brother, he realizes what’s going on. To make up for it plans on surprising you with some home-made sweets and a stuffed animal. At the time, he was new to all this stuff. So, he was a little caught off guard.
However, now he’s able to pick up on it and will instantly surprise you with little goodies and cuddles because he’s aware of just how miserable that time of the month can be for you.
One of your favorite things to do with Rin is cuddle with him on the couch as ya’ll watch movies. Now Rin’s up to watch anything, but more often than not you guys end up watching some horror movie, which isn’t exactly Rin’s favorite. At all. Truth is Rin actually scares pretty easily. It’s a bit funny really. Him being the son of Satan and all. Nonetheless, he’ll just sit there with you leaning up against his chest trying his darndest not to show just how terrified he actually is.
So, why would he watch horror movies if he doesn’t like them? He knows you wouldn’t mind watching something else, but he just likes seeing you happy. So, if gripping you tight every time a jump-scare happens is what has to happen, then so be it. To be honest, that’s why you always choose horror movies. You love how the more scared he gets the more he clings onto you. Lol.
You tend to hangout in his dorm while he’s studying. You’ll be lounging across his bed, listening to music (Headphones in, of course. You don’t want to distract Rin from his studies because Lord knows this boy gets distracted easily.), either drawing/writing/reading. Overall, just vibing out as he’s hunched over the desk studying. In these moments ya’ll don’t talk, but simply just enjoy the company of one another. To be honest, having you around actually helps him focus more.
On the weekends, the two of you tend to head out into town. Neither of you ever really have any destination in mind. You guys mainly just end up walking and talking enjoying the sights and sounds of the city around you. Occasionally, you guys come across some cool places like a specialty cafe (cat cafe, anyone?), arcade, or a nice little park. Just some mini adventures that end up holding really special memories for the two of you.
The two of you are sarcastic little sh*ts, especially toward each other. However, you reign supreme everytime. Rin has nothing on you. Your comedic timing is flawless and your comebacks are *Mwah* magnifique. Hell, you even get Ryuiji and Yukio to bust out laughing. Meanwhile, you’re just standing there like...

While Rin gets a bit flustered when it comes to interacting with girls, I feel when in a relationship Rin isn’t shy to touch his S/O.
The way your curves feel in his hands drives him wild. So, you can just imagine he’d always find a way to touch you in some way throughout the day.
When he’s kissing you his hands will wander. He’ll start off with grabbing your face, pulling you into a kiss, and making his way down feeling you up until he makes it to your butt.
His favorite kisses are wall kisses. He especially loves it when you end up wrapping your legs around his waist. That way he’s able to grip your thick thighs as he presses you up against the wall further.
Kisses with him are very passionate. Bite, his lip and he’ll be a goner. ;)
However, he does love to give you forehead kisses when ya’ll are out in public. He saves the passionate ones for when the two of you are alone.
Rin loves hugs.
Now while he definitely is not afraid to initiate one he absolutely loves it when you hug him first. Baby boy, will turn into a blushing mess. He just can’t get over the fact that someone as cute as you loves him.
Now Rin does tend to get lost in his thoughts from time to time and can get a little down. In times like this he looks to you to be his rock. All he wants in these moments is to just hug you. Don’t try to push him away during these times. Just pull him in close and hug him tight.
Overall, the two of you just have a very sweet and fun relationship that, honestly, most people are jealous of.
Speaking of jealousy...Rin gets jealous easily. Lol. He gets very pouty when he’s jealous. Hey, Ame! Where’s my hug...What’s so special about that baka?...I can do that too. *whispers* I just don’t want to. He’s adorable when he’s jealous.

You think you talk a lot? Rin doesn’t mind, he loves to talk a lot, too. To be honest, ya’ll tend to get so caught up talking to each other you sometimes forget about the rest of your friends you guys were hanging out with.
That and sometimes when you and Rin get to talking ya’ll get a little too animated. Because of this Yukio has to make sure to separate ya’ll in class and on certain missions. Otherwise, work might not get done and besides things are just quieter that way. Lol.
It’s not unusual for others to see Rin looking at you like this:
The boy is just hopelessly in love with you.
Because of this it’s not unusual for his tail to wag when you’re around.
He’s legit like a puppy when it comes to you.
And, you can bet if you ever get threatened or mistreated he’d be right there to save you. No one messes with his loved ones, especially you.

As the prince of the kingdom, it was expected that his birthday will be a grand event. Fireworks, grand gifts, maybe three elephants and five carriages worth of jewellery; Marius was a loved prince, after all. You weren't surprised at the extravagance, or the extent to which the kingdom would go to in order to make Marius know he was loved.
"Jiejie," he murmured, rolling his shoulders back as he adjusted the way his clothes fell on his shoulder, making sure each button was turned just right. "I'm tired."
"I'm not surprised," you told him, eyeing his reflection in the mirror. "This is your third outfit of the day, and it's barely lunch."
"That painting was entirely unnecessary," he groaned, checking his arm braces. "They paint it every year. I don't change that much, do I? One painting every, say, three years, is good enough. I look exactly the same as I did last year, just in a different outfit."
Well. You couldn't say you agreed. You didn't personally know Marius last year, but you knew of him--who could live in this country and not know of his existence? The enigmatic prince, the most desirable bachelor, the man who made dames and gents alike swoon whenever he gave them a faint smile; Marius had made a name for himself ever since he stepped out into the limelight, and that bright light never stopped shining on him.
And the Marius of last year, compared to the Marius of the current year--there was a slight difference. Imperceptible, perhaps, to the man himself, but you could tell. There was a different air about him. A gravitas that the old Marius didn't have. He used to be confident in a brash sort of manner, a reckless child who demanded respect because he thought himself worthy of it.
Now, he'd mellowed out. He'd honed his craft, tongue as silver as the moon, and the way he carried himself is different. You thought it could be the burden of becoming the heir after the disappearance of his brother, the late nights and long hours, spiralling into a force that pushed him to mature faster; he simply felt different, different from his old self.
"At least the day is almost over," you said encouragingly. "Just the coronation, then the parade, and the dinner, before you're done for the day."
"You say that like it's easy," he replied, giving you a side glance. "The coronation is, well, if needs must, but the parade? The glitz and the glamour and the crowd cheering?"
"You like the crowd cheering."
"But I'm tired today." Marius turned fully, lips pulling down into a pout as he leaned towards you. "I don't want to ride a horse through the streets and listen to them sing my praises. Not today, at least. Maybe tomorrow."
Laughter always came easily to you when you were with him. "The crown can't reschedule your birthday parade, Marius."
"It's my birthday. They should make a few exceptions." He sighed, and your hand instinctively lifted to his head, wanting to pet his hair.
You paused. His hair was done by a stylist just a few minutes prior, and you couldn't mess it up. Not even a single strand could be out of place or you would feel incredibly guilty.
Marius, on the other hand, seemed to have his own opinion. He pressed closer, as if trying to push his head into the curve of your palm.
It was a difficult fight, but you resisted. You pulled your hand away, giving him an admonishing look.
"I have to go for the parade, sit upright and look presentable, and you won't even pat my head." He shook his head dramatically, giving you an incredibly forlorn look. "Jiejie, this doesn't even feel like my birthday. Maybe a torture day."
You tried to think of something to cheer him up with, but came up short.
"You can do it," you said lightly, patting him on the back. "It'll be over in a flash!"
"Lies and slander, jiejie. Lies and slander."
You watched him fiddle around with his appearance a while longer. Then, out of nowhere, the thought hit you.
"Do you want my present now, then?" You asked, mouth moving faster than your mind. "Or do you want it at the end of the day?"
Marius froze. A series of emotions quickly flashed over his face, and you could barely hold back your laughter at how torn he looked. He opened his mouth after a while, as if determined and certain about his decision, then closed his mouth just as fast, thinking twice.
"I don't know," he muttered, pouting as he looked at you. "That decision's too hard to make. Can't you give me half now, and half later?"
You can't really split your present into half like that. But with the look that he was giving you--you thought it over, trying to see if you can somehow stretch it out.
"Okay," you said slowly, moving to the door. "I'll give you… the bigger half now. You can have the smaller half… tonight."
He blinked at you. "The bigger half…?"
Before he could ask anything, you dart into the corridor, rushing to the room where all the presents were kept. Yours was squirrelled away into a corner, sitting in an unobtrusive manner, away from the gigantic pyramid of carefully wrapped presents.
Yours… couldn't really be wrapped.
You hurry back with the larger present, hoping there was still enough buffer time before Marius had to show up in the main hall for his coronation ceremony. It would be fast--you just had to hand it over to Marius, wish him a hasty happy birthday as was the typical birthday procedure, and then he'd be off.
You stop in front of his door. With one free hand, you pat your cheek, trying to get rid of the flush that settled in on your way here. You can do this! A few simple steps and it would be over; you had to stay cool and calm, and not give Marius any ammunition! He'd never let you live it down if he saw you this red!
As you tried to give yourself a pep talk, the door flew open.
"Jiejie, you were just standing outside--"
He cut himself off, staring at you with wide eyes.
"Here," you said roughly, shoving the bouquet at him while pointedly looking elsewhere. "For you. Happy birthday, Marius.”
He didn't take the bouquet so much as it fell into his arms. Marius held it gingerly, eyes huge from shock as he looked it over, carefully peering at every handcrafted rose.
"Did you make this?"
You're tempted to say something sarcastic, like lying that you bought it off the blacksmith, but then you see the glimmer of affection in his eyes and the urge to pass it off as a joke dies in your chest. You swallow, gathering all the courage you have left in your gut.
"I made it. With help, of course, from Kiki's friend."
Marius looked at you with a childlike wonder in his eyes, lips curving in a brilliant smile. "For me?"
You huff, turning your head to the side. "Who else?"
He held the bouquet up, admiring it in the light. The roses were crafted from metal, fine wire twisted into the shape of a rose. The very first rose took you over five hours to make, and you managed to shave your time down into a flat two hours after the twentieth rose.
"I love it," he said quietly. "Thank you."
"I thought you would like something handmade--handcrafted, because I know you like creating. This isn't, well, you can get better quality ones if you commissioned it and paid extravagantly, and I know I messed up a little here, right there on this rose, and--"
Marius leaned in, eyes soft as he cupped your cheek. He was close, close enough that you feel the way his breath felt across your lips, and you felt the urge to look away but his gaze was simply too captivating. He drew you in, holding you in place, and you stood there dumbly.
"I love it," he repeated, voice barely a whisper. "It's the most thoughtful thing anyone's ever given me. Thank you, princess."
"I'm not a princess," you said, the words coming out of your mouth in a dazed breath, instinct pushing the familiar retort from your chest.
Marius gave you a smile, one of those cheeky ones that meant he knew something you didn't, and then--
Before you could resist, he pressed his lips to yours lightly, just a brief brush that made your nerves spark, and then he pulled back.
"Cherry lipstick," Marius said, brows lifting. "I can't say I'm against it."

it makes me so sad thinking na whenever i feel unwanted i tend to isolate myself from other people expecting that they would notice it and tell me na i am important to them.........BUT THEY WOULDN'T DO THAT so i'm going to end up feeling sad again and again and again.......i always think of what other people think about me, likE do they want me???? am i annoying to them???? smth like that. i don't want these feelings. Fruits Basket Hunger Games Simulator
So I made a fruits basket hunger games simulator online. It took forever but was a lot of fun. I thought it would be fun to write out what happened and share it with you all. I will also put a link to the simulator at the end, so you can try it as well. See what outcome you come up with.
For now though, I will show you how my run went. This is hunger games so obviously there will be some violence and killing. You have been warned.
Start with choosing three tributes to cheer for while reading! My tributes of choice were : Yuki, Haru, and Kakeru. All my sons basically!
The words written in Italics is me giving commentary on the events going on.
The Simulator will begin under the Keep Reading bar.
Fruits Basket Hunger Game Simulator
The Bloodbath
As the tributes stand on their podiums, the horn sounds.
Kyo finds a bag full of explosives.
Kisa snatches a bottle of alcohol and a rag.
Ritsu scares Hana-chan away from the cornucopia.
Yuki runs away from the Cornucopia.
Uo-chan runs away from the Cornucopia.
Kureno runs away from the Cornucopia.
Hatori takes a handful of throwing knives.
Kana, Momiji, and Kyoko work together to get as many supplies as possible.
Rin runs away from the Cornucopia.
Tohru snatches a bottle of alcohol and a rag.
Motoko runs away from the Cornucopia.
Kimi breaks Haru 's nose for a basket of bread.
Would have been funnier if it was a basket of fruit
Kakeru clutches a first aid kit and runs away.
Akito runs away from the Cornucopia.
Ayame kills Shigure with a sickle.

Machi , Mayu, and Hiro work together to get as many supplies as possible.

Kyoko tries to sleep through the entire day.

Motoko tries to spear fish with a trident.
Machi begs for Kureno to kill her. He refuses, keeping Machi alive.

Haru diverts Kyo 's attention and runs away.
Ayame, Tohru , Rin , and Ritsu raid Yuki 's camp while he is hunting.
Hana-chan discovers a cave.

Kimi collects fruit from a tree.
Hatori chases kagura.
Mayu sees smoke rising in the distance, but decides not to investigate.

Kyo begs for Tohru to kill him. She refuses, keeping Kyo alive.

Akito tends to her wounds.
Hana-chan, Rin , and Machi discuss the games and what might happen in the morning.
Kana and Momiji hold hands.
Kakeru loses sight of where he is.
Yuki quietly hums.
Ayame questions his sanity.
Haru receives fresh food from an unknown sponsor.
kagura and Mayu run into each other and decide to truce for the night.
Kyoko thinks about winning.
Motoko receives medical supplies from an unknown sponsor.
Day 2
Yuki , Hiro , Ayame, and Hatori raid Akito 's camp while she is hunting.
Kyo tries to sleep through the entire day.
Kureno scares Kyoko off.
Machi stabs Hana-chan with a tree branch.
Machi! Why?!
Kana makes a wooden spear.
Haru , Momiji, and Kakeru hunt for other tributes.
Motoko attacks Ritsu, but he manages to escape.
Kimi receives an explosive from an unknown sponsor.
Mayu receives an explosive from an unknown sponsor.
Rin scares kagura off.
Tohru receives a hatchet from an unknown sponsor.
Come on Sponsor, what is Tohru going to do with that? She’s Tohru!

Kana tends to her wounds.

Ayame and Kyo sleep in shifts.
Kyoko tends to her wounds.
Ritsu is unable to start a fire and sleeps without warmth.
Motoko receives an explosive from an unknown sponsor.
Kakeru looks at the night sky.
Yuki sets up camp for the night.
Mayu dies from an infection.
Haru , Hatori , Tohru , and Kimi track down and kill Hiro .
It took all of them to take that brat down! Besides that, three out of these four people are too pure to kill a child!
Day 3
Tohru thinks about home.
Kyoko runs away from Kana.
Kakeru tries to spear fish with a trident.
Kureno diverts Ritsu's attention and runs away.
Akito , kagura, Kyo , Kimi, and Haru hunt for other tributes.
Motoko practices her archery.
Rin shoots an arrow at Hatori , but misses and kills Ayame instead.
Yuki begs for Machi to kill him. She refuses, keeping Yuki alive.
What’s with these boys asking their girlfriends to kill them?!

Motoko , Akito , Rin , and Ritsu tell each other ghost stories to lighten the mood.

Kyoko , Kimi, and Yuki sleep in shifts.

Tohru defeats Kyo in a fight, but spares his life.

kagura and Kimi work together to drown Kyo .
Welp, her love finally killed him.
Tohru searches for a water source.
Rin steals from Kyoko while she isn't looking.
Kureno travels to higher ground.
Kakeru receives fresh food from an unknown sponsor.
Hatori attacks Kana, but she manages to escape.
Akito and Ritsu hunt for other tributes.

Hey kat! Ik you don’t write as much Rin content as you do for other characters but I still absolutely adore the way you write her. You’re able to do this thing where you take a character that has maybe two lines in the whole series and turn them into a real person. Even if its just a 1k word oneshot your characters always feel so real . So I was wondering does it bother you when people write rin as idk a really vapid/shallow person who only liked kakashi bc he was “cool”?(1/2)
I’ve just read so many fics where her characterisation bothers me, bc they always seem to go”oh rin was a silly girl who didn’t rlly love kakashi, obviously her true love was actually obito and she should’ve realised that”. There was never any indication that rin romantically loved obito whereas its confirmed that she was in love with kaakshi and he definitely loved her tooeven if it wasnt romantic bc her deathbroke him.Thoughts? So this is a thank you for the respect u give rin when u write her
Tbqh this is one of the reasons ObRin is borderline NoTP for me - why a lot of the Naruto pairings where one side has a crush on the other are borderline NoTPs, really. There’s this expectation that one side is obviously misguided and just needs to see the light, even when everything in their characterization would say otherwise. Rin in particular gets treated in ObRin fics as just. A prize, or a reward, for Obito returning to the light and going good again. Not to knock them - it’s the same thing canon does, and they’re just following that. But it bothers me massively, both the “prize to be earned” thing and the way they completely erase her character in the process.
Out of the women in Naruto, Rin probably has some of the fewest pages. But at the same time, every time we see her, she’s fighting. She’s one of the bravest fucking characters in the manga, and I will die on this hill. First, when she’s captured by Iwa nin, she’s tortured with genjutsus to the point where she’s shaking and sweating and crying, and she doesn’t break. She’s functional afterwards. She gets up and keeps moving and still has enough mental strength to perform medical techniques and do surgery on her dying friend and her BSODing crush. And then, with the Kiri nin, she steps in front of Kakashi’s Chidori, uses the only method she has to keep her village safe at the cost of her life, even after having been imprisoned and just having had a bijuu sealed into her. She’s got willpower in spades, and while she’s kind and gentle she’s also fierce as hell and not afraid to call her teammates out, even her crush Kakashi.
“Ugh, fangirl” is the complaint I usually see about Rin and Kakashi, and...idk about anyone else but I definitely had crushes growing up, and I didn’t handle them as well as we’re shown Rin did. Most people get crushes. It’s a normal thing. To deride Rin for that is so stupid it makes my eyes cross, but at the same time that’s hardly all there is to her. Fandom loves tot take characters to one extreme or the other, and I think Rin is a victim of that pretty frequently given some of the stupider bits of canon that happened to her and the fact that she doesn’t get a lot of screen time. And while I can understand the impulse to turn her into a silly girl with a crush, it’s sloppy characterization and bad writing.
