my take on NC UCs now that we have more info:

lukewarm on the relines (some look better than others, i do not like the complete rework of the eye shape on the chia at all and am worried about what that might mean for the kiko)

cautiously optimistic about them dipping into unreleased pet art like the grey draik and darigan poogle

happy that there wont be a difference between old and new UC pets (the black market for those things was godawful and im not sympathetic to anyone who’s upset about losing their status symbol cred. you got your day in the limelight you’ll live)

dont really have an opinion on users not needing to have the pet painted the color you want beforehand (the ridiculous inflation of basic mps and shit in preparation for this is awful, so if they still require you to have your pet be the right species then RIP cybunny fans)

nervous about how much they’ll cost + if they’ll make it some kind of awful gambling shit. praying its not a mystery capsule deal.

how costly and how accessible they are will determine whether i’ll buy any of the damn things. like if they bring back the halloween draik, disco kiko, robot kiko, or the unreleased darigan kiko and they look faithful to the original art for those, i’ll be tempted

Azu is the youngest member of the LOLOMG, even if we count all the NPCs that unoficially joined the party! A thing no one would ever know because she is the only one with emotional maturity and an once of common sense.

Bertie is Bertie and I'm really glad they never met. Sasha is just looking for dark corners. Zolf needs projects and he'll just leave at points because it's too much. Hamid is just putting himself in situations. Grizzop refuses to stop and keeps moving foward without a plan. Cel is actualy more emotionally mature than people give them credit for... would still turn themselfs into a robot for shits and giggles if unsupervised.

Than we have Einstein who I love but also like he would totaly hide a zombie bite. The ultimate himbo Ed. Earhart who is just "if it takes sacrifícing myself and everyone around me to kill a dragon I will". Wilde didn't noticed he was being cursed for months because not sleeping for a month because of nightmares that make you bleed it's just a shitty wednesday I guess? Carter is just a bunch of issues in a trenchcoat. Barnes makes Zolf seems emotionally open. Kiko is actually okay and the love of Azu's life, good for her. Skraak is the new "I'm fine" meme after Wilde just gave up (not in a healthy way either). Sassra (and look Cel is here again and so is Zolf) is just trying to fix problems she can't fix forever and ever.

Azu is dealing with her own baggage while having to deal with everyone else because she is somehow the adult in the room! She is 13 (mentaly she is in her early 20's but still). She is baby. What a queen.

Baymax! Episode 1

Welcome back to Big Hero 6! That's an interesting thing to say.

We're thrown in, no real explanation, Baymax rides around town in his charger and comes across the old lady from the trailer. There's a few interesting facts about this scene, first off, she speaks a little Spanish which leads me to believe that Baymax can speak multi-language. Second is that Baymax observes her getting her mail and sees the name on the letter, more or less stalking her to get her name so he can treat her. Revealing her name to be Kiko Tanaka.

Tanaka could be a reference to Opal Tanaka who was in the X-Factor comics which doesn't have any correlation to the story as far as I can tell but in the comics she does come in contact with a "Hiro" aka Cyberai who is set to marry her by her father at one point. (There's also a Rita and Robert Tanaka but they don't have as much story)

But her deal is that she has back problems and needs exercise, which leads to swimming and she has a fear of water so Baymax has to help her get over it. Oh, look, she has a dog named Bailey.

There's also a picture of someone but there's no telling, his face is covered. In fact we see pictures of him all over her house but they make it a point to blur it or cover it with something.

Anyway, she doesn't take to kindly to Baymax trying to help so she prepares with-

Scissors, knitting needles, and a staple gun. She's gonna pop our friend. On her way to get him however, she gets her exercise in. It was all a ploy by Baymax to get her to follow him and she walks all over town into a trap. The pool.

Why does she hate water? She doesn't. She hates the place.

Those pictures were apparently her husband before he died (which explains why she lives next door) and you can follow the rest but what I don't understand is that she never swam before he died anyway but she wishes she had. To which Baymax says "It's never too late." I think this compliments the theme to the movie with getting over one's death and carrying on their legacy. It was never too late to join robotics and go to college.

That's it but stay after the credits because it teases the next episode...and also Hiro!

So, it wasn't exactly clear from the trailers but these episodes are only around 10 minutes long, (this one was 7) which kind of has me worried for the franchise as a whole because that's the sort of format BH6:TS took on in its final season to "not so well" results. But we'll see where the series ends up on its own merit.

This is Wade. He is a creeper with heterochromia. He is Strong Mad's pet.

I wanted to talk about the miniseries baymax! too because I LOVED IT (disclaimer: my English it'll be maaybe a little bit broken sorry)

first of all I literally cried since the first short, I was really touched when kiko told baymax about her dead husband and the first thing that came to my mind was "now baymax knows how to help the duel of losing someone important because of hiro"

second of all: the short Sofía, YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE THAT SHORT, for me, a trans man, this short means a lot for me, and not just because of the trans representation but because of how they touched the first period, it was so wholesome that I literally cried AND THEN I cried MORE because of hiro in the post credits my God that kid loves that robot and so I love them both

AND DONT MAKE ME START WITH THE 6TH SHORT I missed hiro so much he's literally one of my comfort characters of all time and this short just made my little heart happy, when he was so nervous talking to kiko about baymax and then him hitting (edit: I meant tapping! TT) anxiously the window when they were searching for baymax just reminded me why I loved that character so much

I have a lot more to say about baymax! but my broken English don't let me express how I want so yeah! If you haven't seen baymax yet and you love bh6 you'll love this mini series! even tho there's no heros or the original gang present :( I hope this series goes well so we can see more of this characters!!

Oop I read the comments under Summer Nights ch. 4.

Honestly, was Rinko’s behavior admirable? Nah. Was it relatable? Fuck yeah. I think it definitely flashes some of her insecurities related to her own trauma and anger. And I’m excited to see that explored in this au.

Gojo really took the embarrassment like a champ. That rejection sensitivity, the poor kid. That resonated just as much as Rinko’s anger and humiliation. They’re so human, behaving like hurt, confused college students do since their brains still aren’t fully myelinated. The common sense really doesn’t hit till 25 at the earliest lol.

Loved it Kiko. You’re such a talented story teller and your writing style- I truly envy it. Amazing work as always.

It really did give a little look into her insecurities, too! On top of that, I think some people are expecting Rinko to be perfect and react perfectly when she's still a human who will end up letting her emotions drive her, too. She's not a robot just because she's more aware of emotions. It doesn't make her immune to giving in to her embarrassment or desires.

They really are so fucking human! They're dumb lil college students who don't have the weight of the world on their shoulders, just the weight of their own chemical imbalances 😂😂

I wish that Kiko (Yuuki/Koji's mother) would have had a major role in the series. Her husband was kidnapped on Live TV by giant alien robots, and her only child hangs out with another group of the same species.

We could have seen how she was dealing with her husband's captivity while temporarily raising Yuuki/Koji by herself. We know Kiko was devastated after watching her husband getting taken by the Predacons, so she might not have good feelings towards them. However, we don't know what her thoughts on the Autobots are.

Since she was literally only in episode 1, it's unknown if Yuuki/Koji had ever told his mom about the Autobots or how they were trying to save Daichi/Kenneth. It's never revealed if Yuuki/Koji ever told her who he has been hanging out with. Does she distrust the Autobots as much as the Predacons?
