On today's episode of Pranks R Us: It's that time of the year when we're inundated with Christmas carols and movies. All. Damn. Day. Hallmark. Here's a scenario for you: How would your faves react to you purposely, horrendously serenading them with Christmas songs that... they don't like? 😊

Capt. John Price - He's nursing his cuppa because he knows for a fact that the boys put you up to this. He feels it in his bone marrow for Christ's sake. Price likes to think he's smiling behind the mug but his cheeks are hurting a bit too much for it to be genuine which really means he's gonna give the rest of 141 hell when he sees them the next time.

Gaz - Went from raising a brow to his cheeks being puffed the hell out because he's trying his best not to laugh in your face. When you're done, you have the biggest shit-eating grin... which devolves into laughter from both you and him. Tears are rolling down your eyes and he's clutching his stomach. God, he loves you, darling.

Soap - Soap is currently the Soapurrito™ with Whiskey (referencing this post) when you decide to randomly serenade them both. Not only do you have Soap looking confused but the dog keeps tilting his head as well, too. Then you hit that one note and they tilted their head at the same damn time and you just fell out laughing.

Ghost - (Referencing this post) Ghost was having a smoke and knit session and then you barged in and began singing. Not only did you sing the absolute worst fucking Christmas song to ever exist to him but you decided to channel your inner Luciano Pavarotti and make it classical for him. You thought you ate that shit but Ghost was staring at you in Say Sike, Mate the entire time while still knitting. You winked and blew him a kiss and if 'Why are we here? Just to suffer?' was a person.

Roach - He, like Price, was smiling a bit too brightly which means that he's crying on the inside. The one who gets up and gives you that reassuring squeeze because you got the spirit. Not everyone is meant to be a singer but he thanks you and revels in the holiday cheer! ❤️

Alex Keller - Was watching TV and not really paying attention to it and then BAM, you popped up! The more you sing, the more you realize his thighs are slowly but surely closing together and LIKE HELL YOU'LL CLOSE SHUT THE JAWS OF SWEET KELLER LOVIN', ALEX.

Alejandro - Alejandro looked up from his work, leaned back in his chair, and just stared at you with a furrowed brow. Rudy and the others are in earshot and are quietly, collectively laughing their asses off. You actually do a couple songs (per the bet) and Alejandro... has a stiff drink in the meantime lmao.

Rudy - Actually does laugh in your face, even though it's Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Apologizes while laughing in your face. Because laughter is contagious, however, you, too, start laughing.

König - König gets incredibly excited because Schatz, he didn't know you liked to sing horribly! And when you're done, he, too, chooses to serenade you, and holy shit, König actually can sing!

Horangi - Horangi has the most deadpan expression on his face. He's the one that promises you you can sit on his face all day long if you'll promise him to never sing again stop singing.

Graves - Graves was on a conference call with the boys when you busted in and started singing. The entire time, he's rocking the Zoolander grimace and when you're done, you hear someone give their best Simon Cowell impersonation and then it turns into Shadow Company's Got Talent and you're being judged. 'A' for Ass effort, darlin'.

Valeria - The one who rolls her eyes and massages her temple. May or may not put your ass on the couch tonight for this. Or, better yet, you wanna sing? Put your mouth to good use and sing on her pu—

Keegan - Is the epitome of lost as hell. Keegan is the one grimacing with every high note you, er, try to hit. He can't even bring himself to smile but his eyes are somewhat comically wide, made more so after you kiss his cheek, take the piss out of him, and ask him how you did.

Masquerade -Call of Duty

This is a collection of quotes from a radio show called 'Dangerously Yours' from Ep titled 'Masquerade'. (none of these quotes or ideas of how the story develops are mine.)

You are a spy for your country, you were sent to kill the target so you made him/her fall in love and you also fell into your own trap. Neither of you can be with the other for if you are, you'll both get killed. So, you tell him/her what your plans were and he/she tells you they knew all along. You are in denial of your feelings for him/her and in the end, you end up killing him/her. His/her last words were, 'I love you R/N." And as his/her people asked if he/she needed help, all they said was basically no, that they want you to find your own path in life and that with hope, someday, you would believe that they were truly in love with you which is very much true.

This next part is of the characters in COD that I think would be the ones playing Rudolph Estefan and you of course play Catherine. These quotes are taken from the comment section...and from what i listened to as I wrote them down

What do you think each Bridgerton sibling (and their spouses when they're married) do for 'Christmas themes' for their decorations? I love your headcanons!

I had written something like this last year but I can't bloody find it...

Anthony and Kate: Quite traditional and I think they'd do a mixture of Diwali and Christmas. Anthony is a bit of a stickler for making sure things are in the right place and there are certain decorations that no one is allowed to touch, old family ornaments whereas Kate is a little more chaotic with their decorations.

Benedict and Sophie: Over the Top, looks like something out of a magazine with everything perfect in it's place despite the kids getting involved. Loads of the decorations are handmade and there is always a HUGE homemade gingerbread house somewhere in the house and there is always christmas treats freshly baked in the house whenever someone comes around.

Colin and Penelope: i think there a little more subtle with their decorations and it's often last minute if they've been travelling or busy with work, they have a tree and some lights and always put a stocking up but a lot of their decorations are things Colin picked up on their travels.

Daphne and Simon: it's always themed and always colour coordinated no matter what. Daphne starts planning her christmas decorations the year before so she can go out and buy whatever she needs and often gets it post-christmas in the sales but it's always impeccable and inch perfect and she KNOWS if anyone's been in and moved something.

Eloise and Phillip: REAL tree, none of your plastic things here. Phillip enjoys making a wreath or two and the kids like to help make decorations with holly and ivy. all their decorations are real and as much as Eloise said she wouldn't be one of those people making christmas decorations in November, she finds herself happily sitting and making wreaths, drying out fruits and everything to make their decorations because she sees how happy it makes Phillip and the kids.

Francesca and Michael: Warm and Cosy, Scotland is bloody cold at Christmas and they just go with the cosy vibes, reds, greens, tartans all over the place. they've got a mixture of homemade decorations that they've received from Eloise and Sophie over the years as well as ones they've made themselves but they have a stock of their christmas things and use the same things over and over.

Gregory and Lucy: It's like Christmas threw up in their home, Star Wars themed decorations everywhere, right down to an inflatable Darth Vader. Lucy can't bare to say no to him when he comes running up to her in the shop and dragging her over to an ATAT that has a red nose on it like Rudolph that goes on your roof... her only stipulation is that he doesn't put it up... since he fell off the roof the year before...

Hyacinth and Gareth: absolutely no theme, no thought to it what so ever much to Daphne's displeasure. if it's Christmassy and Hyacinth likes it then she gets it. it's like a child went through a catalogue and just bought all the things that they liked regardless if they match. it's just Christmas chaos and suits Hyacinth's personality to a tea. Gareth however does make the request that they have a manager outside as part of his Italian Heritage... but what he doesn't realise is that Greg swapped Baby Jesus out for Grogu...

task force 141 + christmas sweaters

A/N: sorry for the shorter post, there's a lot going on in my life so there's a chance i'll miss a few days. i made an update post which you can read here. thank you to everyone who continues to support me despite it

simon "ghost" riley:

easy answer for ghost

he doesn't wear one

the most you'll get out of him is a dark green sweater with some white designs on it but even that's asking for a lot

in his opinion he sees no point to the tradition and he thinks the sweaters are uncomfortable anyways

he absolutely refuses to wear anything that has any sort of lights or knick knacks sewn on to it

sorta a grinch when it comes to christmas sweaters ngl

john "soap" mactavish

soap loves wearing ugly christmas sweaters

every year he tries to buy the most obnoxious one he can find

i'm talking lights, tinsel, ornaments, the whole shebang

one time he even found one that said random christmas phrases whenever you moved

everyone was fighting the urge to slap him by the end of the night

he'll also wear them for as long as possible

so he has like twenty in his closet and he'll wear a different one each day

he never repeats though so he only starts like twenty days before christmas

so technically he would have started on 12/5 but whatever

kyle "gaz" garrick:

kyle's a fan of ugly christmas sweaters but he doesn't really go for the obnoxious ones like soap

also he only has one that he wears

he made it with his family last time he was able to spend christmas with them

they had a whole day dedicated to it and everything

it's one of gaz's favorite traditions

he even brought it to the 141 for them to do

it was actually a big hit

his sweater is usually more toned down

but it has his name on it and is custom designed so it makes it more special

john price:

price actually really enjoys wearing ugly christmas sweaters

he always does a little dad chuckle whenever he sees what sweater soap is wearing

he has a few sweaters in circulation in his closet

most of them are toned down like gaz's but he has like one pretty exorbitant one

one thing about price tho is that he won't let you guys wear the sweaters to training if they have anything attached to it

but if it's something like ghost's where it's just patterns then your fine

alejandro vargas

tbh i don't really see alejandro as the kind of guy to wear ugly christmas sweaters

he might wear normal christmas sweaters but not ugly ones

idk it's not like he's being a grinch about it or anything

but i just don't think it was something he grew up with

so he doesn't really see the point of doing it as an adult

he'll always make one with gaz and the rest of the team tho

and he'll wear it for like that night and then never again

but he always has fond memories of it

rodolfo "rudy" parra:

alright it shouldn't surprise anyone that rudy loves christmas sweaters

he tends to opt for the cute ones rather than the obnoxious ones tho

so he doesn't really like having things attached to his sweaters

he likes cute designs and prints

he also goes hard during gaz's sweater making days

like he will make a bunch of matching sweaters for everyone

he also has a lot of sweaters

but unlike soap he starts off the month super duper lowkey

to the point where you really don't realize he's been wearing christmas sweaters until like the second week of december

bc that's when he starts wearing prints of like christmas trees or rudolph

and yes he has a special connection to rudolph because of the name

Welcome to the Layton NPC Showdown!

This is a bracket to determine which of the many memorable NPCs from across the Professor Layton games are the greatest.

GAMES INCLUDED: Every game except LBMR. Eternal Diva characters are also not included here.

WHAT COUNTS AS AN NPC?: Anyone who doesn't have a puzzle animation. Characters excluded are Layton, Luke, Flora, Clive, Emmy, Randall, Aurora, Des, Espella, Phoenix, Maya, Katrielle, Ernest, Sherl, Hastings, and Emiliana.

WILL THERE BE NOMINATIONS?: Nope! Every NPC will be included.

WHAT ABOUT THE LAYTONMOBILE/MOLENTARY EXPRESS?: No vehicles. Not characters.

WHAT ABOUT THE PUZZLE LADS/LASSES?: I only plan on including characters that we can speak to in-game, so no Puzzle Lads or Lasses. Sorry to the people who like them 😔

WHICH CHARACTERS ARE INCLUDED, THEN?: Anyone who isn't an exception listed above that is in the profiles of the game! A full list is enclosed below.

WHEN WILL THE TOURNAMENT START?: More information forthcoming on that! I have to seed the bracket first :)

WHY IS NAIYA YOUR ICON?: In my opinion, she's one of the more underrated NPCs of the series. I'll probably cycle through some of the ones I have available to me right now.

WHAT CRITERIA SHOULD I VOTE ON?: Whatever makes you happy :)

ARE ALTER EGOS SEPERATE CHARACTERS?: No. For instance, Ratman is not included because his secret identity is in the tournament.

US OR UK NAMES?: I will try to make available as many names for the NPCs as possible! Which includes their Japanese names and as many names in the localizations as I am able to obtain from the wiki and my own sources. I'll probably reliably have the English (both versions where applicable), Japanese, and French names for every character when I do the bracket rounds. The list below however is entirely in English.
