Nearly out of gas, they stop in at the diner only to discover it is the target of zombie attacks, hauntings, and occult activity.

The manager of the diner, Loretta, offers them a job helping her out around the diner, and maybe helping solve her zombie problem. They accept. (x)

Recently stumbled across this one at the library. For me, the best way into horror is through humor. Gil’s All-Fright Diner sounds like a treat and I’m really excited to read it.

**“¿Por qué tengo miedo casi cada día?”. “¿Qué hace que le tema a las situaciones más cotidianas?”.** Esta clase de ideas forman parte de las preocupaciones de muchas personas que, sin saber muy bien por qué ocurre, notan que el miedo es una emoción que desgasta su calidad de vida constantemente, incluso en situaciones aparentemente inofensivas. A lo largo de las siguientes líneas veremos cuál es la naturaleza del miedo a todo y qué podemos hacer para combatir esta sensación. * Artículo relacionado: "[¿Existen los miedos innatos?](/desarrollo/miedos-innatos)" ## ¿Por qué tengo miedo siempre? Las emociones existen porque cumplen una función, y aunque a veces las desventajas que presentan superan a las ventajas, estas situaciones son la excepción, no la regla. El miedo, en concreto, es una de las emociones más poderosas de las que disponemos. **Nos guste o no, su existencia condiciona nuestras vidas**, a veces para bien (nos ayuda a evitar peligros) y a veces para mal (contribuye a que busquemos excusas para no esforzarnos en mejorar). Sin embargo, hay casos extremos en los que este factor psicológico se convierte en todo **un obstáculo con el que nos auto-saboteamos una y otra vez** cuando nos proponemos salir de la zona de confort e iniciar algo nuevo que nos hará bien. Ir a hablarle a una persona que nos gusta, empezar una carrera universitaria, ir al gimnasio, ir al dentista… En estas ocasiones aparece un fuerte sentimiento de frustración y un pensamiento del que no nos podemos desprender: “¿por qué tengo miedo y no me enfrento a mis temores?”. Entre las principales causas, encontramos las siguientes. ### 1. Traumas La huella emocional que dejan en nosotros los traumas **hacen que dirijamos la atención hacia todo aquello que hipotéticamente puede llevarnos a vivir esa experiencia** (o una similar) de nuevo. Por eso, muchas personas con traumas tienen una gran facilidad para entrar en un estado de hipervigilancia del que es completo salir. ### 2. Falta de autoestima La falta de confianza en uno mismo contribuye a que la persona exprimente miedo por muchas cosas, ya que **no se siente preparada para afrontar algunas áreas de la vida**. En concreto, aquellas que involucran relaciones personales son típicamente una fuente de temores e inseguridades. ### 3. Situaciones de maltrato y de abuso En algunos casos, el miedo está enraizado en un problema relacional que por definición va más allá del individuo. ****Cuando se sufren los ataques de otra persona o de un grupo de ellas, el estado de hipervigilancia aparece como mecanismo de protección, aunque a costa del bienestar psicológico. Por supuesto, esto no significa que la persona que lo sufre sea la culpable de esto; todo lo contrario. ### 4. Propensión genética No hay que olvidar que el factor genético también cuenta. Esto no significa que tener cierta estructura de ADN nos predestine a tener miedo constantemente, pero sí que algunos conjuntos de genes nos vuelven más propensos a desarrollar miedos persistentes. ## Señales de que se vive con temor Algunas de las características típicas que presentan estas personas son las siguientes. **Todas ellas son similares a las que aparecen en la mayoría de las fobias**, en las que hay un estímulo concreto que desencadena crisis de ansiedad. ### 1. Sentir molestias físicas de todo tipo Vivir con un miedo constante genera un desgaste físico que se va acumulando día tras día: **tensión muscular, malos hábitos de sueño y de alimentación**, etc. ### 3. Evitación de situaciones normales Muchas personas tienden a exponerse a contextos habituales del día a día ante la perspectiva de que las cosas se tuerzan y aparezca algo capaz de dañarlas. ## ¿Qué hacer para combatir esta ansiedad? A la hora de tomar medidas contra este malestar y solucionar las causas psicológicas de este miedo, puedes seguir estos pasos. ### 1. Practica ejercicios de respiración Controlar la respiración ayuda a “domar” el estado emocional en el que uno se encuentra. Por eso, **adoptar el hábito de hacer ejercicios de respiración controlada puede ayudar mucho**. ### 2. Exponte a tus miedos poco a poco Empieza con situaciones que te den un poco de miedo, y ve enfrentándote a otras que generen más temor en ti, siguiendo una curva de dificultad ascendente. **Así aprenderás a través de tu experiencia que no hay tantos motivos para sentirse de esa manera** ante cualquier situación mínimamente ansiógena. ### 3. Ve al psicólogo Esta opción tampoco debe ser descartada si no se producen avances significativos con los anteriores. Sitzung vom 25.10.2017

In dieser Sitzung haben wir uns nicht in der Universität sondern in Mannheim getroffen. Genauer noch: erst im Port25- dem Raum für Gegenwartskunst. Dort wurden im Rahmen der Bienale Kunstwerke von verschiedenen Künstlern ausgestellt. Im Rahmen der Bienale setzten sich verschiedene Künstler mit dem Gebrauch von Bildern heutzutage auseinander. Vor allem im Bezug auf die Digitalisierung und das s.g. Sharing von Bildern in „sozialen“ Netzwerken wurde thematisiert. Durch das Sharing werden Gernes neu definiert, Gemeinschaft bzw. Abgrenzung produziert und neue Trends gesetzt. Im Zusammenspiel mit Sharing in Netzwerken wird also die These, dass jedes Bild eine Insel ist, widerlegt.

Angefangen mit Jürgen Teller, der die digitale Nachbereitung von Bildern per se durch „banale“ Motive in Frage stellt wurde durch die Arbeit HOPE von D.H. Saur die Thematik etwas komplexer. Der Künstler, der das blau- weiß- rote Obamabild auf seine Art neu interpretierte, sammelte seine Versionen der Arbeit, indem er sie auf ein knittrigen Blatt Papier klebte. So standen u.a. anstatt Slogans wie HOPE bzw. YES WE CAN Unterschriften wie GUILTY, YES WE LACAN, PROPAGANDA, PROBATION,…) unter dem Portrait von Obama bzw. Trump.

Eine weitere Arbeit war von Amalia Ulman mit dem Titel EXCELLENCES & PERFECTIONS. Hier hat die Künstlerin viele Videos gleichzeitig/ abwechselnd neben bzw. übereinander abgespielt. Gezeigt wurden verschiedene Personen, die über dieselben privaten Themen reden, ohne sich zu kennen oder voneinander zu wissen. Die „Gesprächspartner“ blitzten nacheinander auf der Beamerfläche auf, redeten und verschwanden ebenfalls wieder nacheinander.

Am besten aber gefiel mir die Arbeit von Joachim Schmid, der als Bildersammler vorgestellt wurde und insgesamt 96 Bücher ausgestellt hat. Diese waren im rechteckigen Format und hatten jeweils Themen wie WANTED, TROPHIES, WRITINGS, COFFEE, THINGS, TARGETS, SUNSET, COLOR, SHOES, SITES, PURGLE, REAL ESTATE,… Die Arbeit trägt den Titel „Other People´s Photographys“ und besteht aus Fotos, die der Künstler auf Flickr unter den entsprechenden Tags gefunden hat. Hierbei kann man den Versuch betrachten, die Bilderflut in einer kleinen Auswahl in eine enzyklopädische Form zu bringen.

Eine weitere Arbeit von Andreas Horlitz und Reinhardt Matz war das „Fotonetz“, bei dem versucht wurde, ein digitales fotografisches Netzwerk analog darzustellen. Dies wurde mit Hilfe eines Leuchtkastens, einer Lupe, einer Art Projektionsbildschirm und verschiedenen Karteien versucht darzustellen, die jedoch nur mit entsprechenden Handschuhen berührt werden durfte.

Die zweite Station der Sitzung war im „ZEPHYR“- Raum für Fotografie in den Reiss- Engelhorn- Museen. Hier wurde der „Ökonomische“ Wert von Bildern thematisiert und gewissermaßen ijn Frage gestellt. Direkt die erste Arbeit bestand aus einem Raum mit Video und Bildern an den Wänden, in dem dargestellt wurde, durch wie viele Filter ein Bild wandert, bevor es durch die Öffentlichkeit gerät. Diese Filter sind bspw. die Fotografen, Bildproduzenten, Agenturen, Bildabnehmer, Bildredaktionen,…

Am meisten beeindruckt hat mich eine Rauminstallation von Arwed Messmer. Seine Arbeit mit dem Titel Stammheim setzt sich mit den (Selbst-) Morden der gefangenen RAF Mitglieder auseinander. Im Raum selbst waren überall Bilder und alte Zeitschriften ausgestellt, die rund um die Geschichte der RAF- Gefangenschaften entstanden sind. So waren bspw. in einem ca. DinA2 Fotoband Bilder der erhängten Gudrum Ensslin zu sehen als auch alltägliche Gegenstände in ihrer Zelle (Konserven, Tee-Kaffedosen, Kleider, Stuhl von dem sie angeblich sprang, Bücher, Bananenkisten, etc.). Außerdem wurde Andeas Baader gezeigt wie er erschossen in siener Zelle lag. Auch von ihm und seinen Habseligkeiten wurden Bilder im Fotoband gezeigt. Hier wirden Bücherregale, die Zelle, die Blutlache, sein Plattenspieler und u.a. das Versteck der Walter PPK Pistole gezeigt, durch die er gestorben ist. Manche der Bilder wurden jedoch ausgegraut. Diese wueden mit einer Beschreibung versehen wie bspw.: „Andreas Baader, mit dem Kopf in einer Blutlache auf dem Boden liegend, Ansicht aus der Vogelperspektive“.

Abschließend- ich weiß nichtmehr im Bezug auf welche Arbeit- steht in meinen Unterlagen das Zitat „Wovon es keine Bilder gibt, das hat nicht stattgefunden“. Dabei ist es heutzutage- selbst wenn es Bilder zu etwas gibt- schwer nachvollziehbar ob es sich um ein Original oder einen „Fake“ handelt. Dieses Problem ist aber nicht nur bei Bildern/Videos, sondern vor allem in den Nachrichten zu erkennen. Denn durch die Anarchische Struktur des Internets werden immer mehr Fälle aufgedeckt, in denen Computerprogramme (BOTS) dazu verwendet werden, „Fakenews“ zu verbreiten.
