Franklin loved when his uncle visited because that meant he had someone to play cowboys with, Sally didn't like playing cowboys. Doing little sketches of the important players in the vampire AU I'm working on (working title Actual Draculas), starting with the Hardesty/ Enright family. Handwritten notes are translated under the read more if you can't read my handwriting lol.

Sally and Lefty (and Leo!)

And Franklin!

For Sally and Lefty : Sally is 37, and 5'2". She tries to dress in a way that's fashionable and practical, with clothes that both protect her from potential bites and cover scars from her initial encounter with the Sawyers. Lefty is 50, and 5'9" with a good chunk of height added by his hat. Everyone already thinks he's crazy so he just wears what seems safest (despite extreme Texas summer heat) and he carries so, so many steaks.

For Franklin: he's 40 (though he doesn't really look any different than he did 13 years ago...) He has some scars from his Hitchhiker encounter in the van, and an updated wheelchair, in part bc of the wheelchair advancements of the 80's.

These of course are their 1986/ TCM2 designs, with the og movie everybody looks 99.9999% the same. The start of the story is going to be the original 1973 incident, but I want a decent chunk to take place around the time of TCM 2, and wanted to change up their outfits a little so my normal fanart and au fanart are more distinct from each other going forward. Also being next to Sally makes Lefty look so tall, but he's shorter than every single Sawyer and LG, she's just very very small. The Hardesty/Enrights are not big people lol.

Okay so sense I’m gonna be making a lot of stuff for it soon here’s a basic run down of what the swap au is

The swap au is basically what if chop top and nubbins were swapped so now Bobby is in the first movie and nubbins is in the second

Yes Bobby does die in this au However instead of getting run over sally straight up murders him

Sally is then imprisoned for Bobby’s murder thus lefty tries to prove her innocence which is his main motivation in this au

You might have seen nubbins wearing Bobby’s clothes in some of my art well that’s because instead of puppeting his corpse nubbins decides to wear Bobby’s clothes as a way to honor him

Franklin actually survives in this au

No nubbins isn’t drafted however he was gone from the house for a extended period of time due to being in a mental hospital

The sawyers don’t try to pretend Bobby is still alive in this version however they do still keep his corpse around they just don’t puppet it

Expanding on the Slaughter/Sawyer family

The original family only has three brothers and the sequels never attempted to make sense of the family, here are my expansion/OCs

The father would be Grandapa's only child. But he would've died in the Korean War and after his death, it was up to Grandpa to provide for his grandchildren until he was put out to pasture.

Mama Slaughter is the Matriarch and the Mayor of Newt Texas and is one of the many reasons why the family has never been caught and why Sally has never been let out of the asylum. Mama Slaughter would be based on Ed Gein's mom the strong matriarch who has a strong grip on her boys and little girl. The only voice of reason in the family. Also basing her off of Brenda St John from Telltale's The Walking Dead. Basically, she uses her dairy farm for cannibalism her reasoning was "Growing up in rural Georgia, you're taught not to waste. It's how I was raised and how I raised my boys."  Her reasoning was the apocalypse. Mama Sawyer's reasoning would be because of the death of her husband and Grandpa's fall from grace. So that's why they kill, cannibalize and sell the meat and shine.

Add a sister. Let's call her Bonnie Slaughter. She'd be as crazy as Baby Firefly from Rob Zombie's movies, but she has that southern belle charm to lure victims. Rather than have unsuspecting victims just show up at the house, she invites them in for a “nice homecooked meal” and helps Bubba and Nubbins get them one by one. Also she sells Moonshine to keep a public face and also consume the family's moonshine. Her specialty in killing the victims would be to drinks a lot of moonshine and likes to spit it on her victims and light them on fire. She’d also be the only sibling who sticks up for Bubba.

And of course add Chop-Top, because it's fucking Chop-Top

Now ideally in a better TCM 2 and 3, we’d meet the mother and sister and learn of the family history in better context. Save Lefty for the third movie and have Lefty break Sally out of the hospital and go on a crusade to end the Slaughter/Sawyers once and for all and end it with Sally chopping Leatherface’s head off with his own chainsaw.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 Facts

-was originally supposed to be about a town full of cannibals instead of just the Sawyer family. This version was to be titled "Beyond the Valley of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre'. Bubba Sawyer and Sally Hardesty were to return. Nubbins Sawyer would've survived, been left paralyzed, and tied to a tree by the Sawyer family.

-Bill Mosely was cast as Chop Top because he splayed Nubbins in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre parody called 'The Texas Chainsaw Manicure'.

-Bill Mosely played Chop Top as the vocalist in an avant-garde metal band formed in 1995 called The Cornbugs with Bucket Head, Pinchface, and Travis Dickerson. The band released five albums and two DVDs before their 2007 breakup. Their songs were heavily inspired by TCM and TCM2.

-Gunnar Hansen was offered to return as Bubba, though he turned down the role because the offer was too low.

-Dennis Hopper, Lefty Enright's actor, celebrated his 50th birthday on set and cut his birthday cake with a chainsaw.

-Tobe Hooper's son William Hooper tried to bring Bill Mosely back as Chop Top in a TCM short film. It would have been titled 'All American Massacre' and was supposed to be both a prequel and sequel to TCM2. It would have followed Chop Top's origins and his breakout from prison to embark on his own massacre. The project died out when William Hooper ran out of money to complete the film during post-production. Eventually a trailer for the film was leaked and can be watched on youtube.

-Edwin Neal, Nubbins actor in TCM confirmed that the reason Nubbins wasn't sent to war while Chop Top was was because Nubbins was too crazy.

-The family photo used in the advertisements, posters, and covers was a spoof of The Breakfast Club.

-In the original version, Stretch was going to be Lefty's illegitimate daughter.

-Lefty is Sally and Franklin's uncle.

-When Lefty is buying his chainsaws, Bubba's TCM chainsaw model, a Poulan 245A, can be seen on the wall.

-Chop Top's real name is Robert. His and Drayton's are the only two known real first names of the Sawyers.

-during filming, the main set caught on fire and when firefighters showed up, they thought they had stumbled upon a mass murderers body stash

bruh franklin deserves none of the shit he gets i FEEL that guy. i also would be pissed if it was pushing a hundred degrees and my sister's thot friends were ignoring the obvious signs of get the hell out. while i do love sally's finale solo and she is ofc one of the icons of finalgirl, franklin feels like a more logical and imo more engaging final to follow and i think it would have boiled down much differently.... i luv sally clawing and scraping and screaming her head off but frank wouldve really had to reason his way out of things or else appeal to sympathy, bc we've seen how fast that wheelchair moves, and ive seen a lot of really cool takes abt how nubbins and franklin couldve ended up friendly and franklin could very easily be taken w the macabre art of the sawyer house lol. basically ten out of ten he deserved better (u_u)

NAME. Vanita "Stretch" Brock. AGE.31 ROLE. Final Girl / News Reporter.

In 1986, Vanita Brock works as a radio DJ in Texas. Her world takes a dark turn when she receives a chilling call from two men who are later killed by Leatherface.

Vanita crosses paths with Officer Lefty Enright, the uncle of Sally Hardesty, an original survivor of Leatherface's terror. Lefty convinces Vanita to play the tape of the murdered men on her radio show, a decision that leads to unforeseen consequences.

As she's about to leave the radio station that night, Vanita encounters Leatherface and his brother, Chop Top, a Vietnam veteran with a metal plate in his head. They attack her, but Vanita's quick thinking persuades Leatherface to spare her life. Unfortunately, her coworker isn't as fortunate. Determined to uncover the truth, Vanita follows the killers to a hidden lair beneath a carnival.

There, she discovers her coworker's lifeless body and becomes a prisoner of the Sawyer family. However, Officer Lefty, armed with chainsaws, stages a daring rescue. Vanita manages to escape, even fending off Chop Top despite sustaining injuries.

Now a news reporter, Vanita dedicates her career to exposing Leatherface and tracking down the family members across Texas. Her life takes a dramatic turn as she becomes entangled in the gruesome legacy of the Sawyer clan.
