il est encore possible de télécharger une copie de ses propres blogs + ceux qui vous intéressent : le blog de l’équipe Skyrock a plein de tutos, pour moi le premier logiciel proposé a bien marché donc j’ai pas testé les autres

Les copies ne sont pas très lourdes s’il s’agit de petits blogs pas trop populaires, la plupart des blogs que j’ai récupérés font 5-20Mo récup en quelques minutes. Par contre il y en a eu un avec vraiment bcp d’articles/commentaires/images/fans/etc qui m’a pris 2h30 et 1+Go à télécharger donc prévoyez le temps lol

I think I finally figured out what exactly is bothering me about all these "Halsin's inability to commit is a symptom of his past trauma with the drow" posts. The subtext to basically all of these analyses that I've seen is that he would want commitment in absence of that trauma, that amatonormative/mononormative commitment mimicking or at least adjacent to monogamous commitment is the default and preferable state for his character (read: for any character). That is, at best, a deeply incurious reading of the character that neglects 1) his own stated nuanced feelings about his confinement and 2) his clearly declared preferences about how he conducts intimate involvements.

It's just... as a polyamorous person who empathizes a lot with what Halsin has laid out as his very clear preferences, seeing all this is. Not fun! It's a little too reminiscent of everyone I've ever dated who was convinced they could Change Me Through The Power Of Love. Halsin's feelings for the player character are not less valid for having priorities that don't include cohabitation.

Splatoon 3, as far as I'm aware, has sold 10.67 million copies (for some reason this number also shows up when i searched for how many sales it had in the US despite being labeled as GLOBAL SALES but i digress). Okay. 10.67 million. Now lets put about 40% of that into Japan (ab. 4.1 million). That leaves 6.57 million for the rest of the world.

Japan is literally 1 million people away from controlling 50% of the vote, and taking into account the people in other countries that choose Shiver, we get things like the ice cream splatfest, the valentines splatfest, and this.

So cut some Big Man/Frye supporters some slack. Yeah, we're mad. Because this keeps happening, and it looks like it's going to be a pattern.

I don't hate Shiver, but Cod can I see where the haters are coming from.

Imagine you're in an academic field, one that's kind of niche but has lots of popular interest. Imagine that a few years ago, someone with only the most basic understanding of it wrote an extremely confident twitter thread that took an inaccurate pop history theory and beefed it up with colorful language and accusations, and it went massively viral. Imagine you and several other experts in your field wrote your own threads trying to correct it, to no avail. Imagine that even years later you see people enthusiastically refer to the thread's thesis as a Known Fact when it's just plain wrong.

Imagine you're in a fandom. Imagine that the new season of your canon is criticized for a number of writing problems. Imagine someone writes an essay making out that the canon was deliberately written to be terrible because the writer is a genius and it's all an incredible plan of misdirection on par with TJLC.

Imagine you realize that these two someones are in fact one someone.

you don't have to answer this if it's too salty, but aside from "manic pixie gay shipping fairy", are there any fanon huaisangs you just don't jive with?

I have been stuck in a car since 6AM with another four-to-five hours to go, so salt is fine, nonnie.

I have found that a lot of fics that make me back button are the ones that swing too far in one direction or the other for him.

On one end of the pendulum arc, you have "He was just Nie Mingjue's idiot purse dog" characterization where he's portrayed as being so empty-headed you could hear a whistle if you blew in his ear, and somehow losing his brother made him magically level up in intelligence.

On the other end, you have the "He was always the most manipulative little monster in the jianghu" characterization, where he's purposely treating everyone around him like little dolls and screwing them over every other minute for sadistic giggles even as a child.

(Ironically, both of these seem to mostly come out of the camp of a certain ship, with the former implying he should have been grateful to Jin Guangyao for forcing him to grow up and the latter being the "Huaisang was the REAL villain of the cast all along!" take.)

And I think both of the above opposing takes are a huge disservice to his character because there's a chasm of so much middle ground being ignored.

Losing Mingjue made him change focus, not intelligence level. The fact that Wei "Ignoring Things I Don't Care About Is One Of My Many Stellar Avoidance Skills" Wuxian expressly calls attention to the fact that Nie Huaisang is clever when it suits him/has to do with something he's interested in is MXTX also calling attention to that, but it's also noted that at the time, those interests involved perfectly harmless teenage stuff like having friends, playing pranks, and catching new pets.

Our boy contains multitudes, quit ripping them out.
