Currently listening to this 'lofi hip-hop beats to study/relax to' ass hold music for 10 mins while sitting in a towel on my bed post-shower bc I realized I still haven't switched from an online to in-person major for next semester. And apparently this is the ONLY kind of major change I can't do myself through my student portal. I'm supposed to be signing up for fall classes in like an hour from now 😭 Sigh. i’ve had such a distressing week, a few nights ago i got mugged in the street and had my phone stolen. and it’s sent my ptsd into overdrive. thankfully the network provider was able to brick the phone and render it useless, but i’ve still had to do the fun job of trying to remember every account i ever had on it to update the passwords (sigh). so i guess this is also an FYI for anyone who had my number - i know i’ve been a shit person to contact in general the last year, but now i don’t have access to that number anymore (the network said they should be able to move my existing number to a new phone, whenever it is i get one, but guess we’ll see what happens.

#so we’re back to this eh #tag rant #I don’t WANT to learn new skills I don’t WANT opportunities to grow I don’t WANT to be included in conversations with senior leadership #I don’t WANT to be giving feedback to creative directors #and moreover I don’t think it’s fair to literally anyone to ask creative directors to receive feedback from me #me who is like 3-4 titles below these directors with decades less experience #yes I know I have potential and I know I’m talented or whatever but #no one else at this table is looking at me as a talented supervisor #they’re looking at me as an underperforming director #idk idk idk I can’t articulate what’s causing me to have an emotional aneurysm rn #bc it’s not that I’m being given responsibilities for the next title up. that’s fine I’m okay with that #I think it’s that no one seems to be acknowledging the power dynamic and idk how to bring it up myself without sounding too sensitive #or maybe that they’ve given me an opportunity I didn’t ask for and now I’m flailing and being judged for it. when it’s THEIR fault #work woes #whatever I’ll fake it until I either make it or get put on a PIP. and I know they’ll never put me on a PIP #and on the plus side I’m receiving a monumentally helpful crash course in what my core strengths truly are
