They gathered, greatly.
Tumblr media
Holy shit guys check out what @hazel-of-sodor put together.
It's the crew from the greatest of gatherings.
The gathering that is great.
The gathering that drove the NRM staff to drink.
I love it.
That gathering.

Could we get a romantic yandere knockout and breakdown from prime (together) with a human reader? A blurb or headcanons are fine
Wasn't sure if you wanted them sharing or a rivalry so I made it sharing. I feel the way this came out was a poor execution but I do feel they'd work well together :(
Yandere! TFP! Knock Out + TFP! Breakdown with Human! Darling
Pairing: Romantic - Sharing
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Poly yandere, Cybertronian/Human/Cybertronian pairing, Manipulation, Kidnapping, Stalking, Degrading behavior, Threats, Forced relationship, Violence, Implied murder, Dubious affection.
Tumblr media
These two do seem like the type to share a darling.
They are a close duo and are often seen together until Breakdown's demise.
While Breakdown is always looking for a fight, Knock Out is one for vanity.
There's no real way for a human to meet these two on formal and proper terms.
Humans are usually seen as less than when it comes to Decepticons.
Autobots are often shamed for making allies with such humans and not treating them as pets.
You would most likely meet these two by being kidnapped after being stalked for awhile.
Be it a human who has minimal contact with Autobots or a lot of contact with the Autobots... they'll take interest.
There's also the way I've used before where you work with vehicles.
Which means you could've repaired them/helped them and just not have known it?
Being stalked by sentient vehicles/Cybertronians is an unnerving thought.
You'll notice in the corner of your eye two different vehicles following you.
They dart out of sight after but it puts you on edge.
Knock Out is probably the first one open to the idea of a human darling.
He's been around the humans and didn't mind it when you touched his paint.
You even tried to swatch the right colors the one time he tried to get you to fix him.
Knock Out thinks you're adorable with your small stature and oblivious nature to his true form.
He may tip Breakdown off to you and gets him to tag along in following you.
Breakdown thinks of you as a human pet like most Decepticons, Knock Out thinks the same thing for awhile too.
It takes the two Decepticons some time to think of you more than that, their feelings most likely occurring when they stalk you.
In private they talk about you, the cute human they've been so attached to.
They share their distaste of those around you, they plot ways to know more about you, they even plot kidnapping you together.
They would play their obsession off as just wanting you as a pet.
Although they do think about the idea of being involved with you in a more... romantic/intimate way?
They'll kidnap you together once they had their fill of watching you.
Watching you in your home, at your job, and on the street gets them yearning for something else to satiate this human desire they have.
Good luck running when they enact their plan.
You're going to be running from two vehicles.
Knock Out may be faster, but Breakdown's always lurking around the corner.
Even if you try to run in a car of your own, they'll run you off the road.
Then they'll tear you out of your car and take you with them.
Both of them want to hold you although I imagine Breakdown will take the roll.
They tell other Decepticons, like Starscream and Megatron, that they decided to keep a human pet.
It's an annoyance to others, but as long as they "clean up after you" they can keep you.
It's dehumanizing and degrading.
The two start by teasing and treating you like a pet.
They comment on your size, they lightly pet your body, and carry you everywhere like you're some hamster.
Although soon you'll notice they do it less and less.
Instead? They both treat you like you're closer than you actually are.
Knock Out keeps up your looks and checks your health with the limited human knowledge he has.
Breakdown is more gentle around you and even acts defensive/protective of he and Knock Out's obsession.
They don't mind sharing between each other too much since they get along with each other well.
They do mind when others question their obsession.
Decepticons aren't supposed to be so close to humans.
Despite this they find themselves holding you closer when others question their feelings towards you.
Sure, they can't properly show you they care without Holoforms-
But they still love you and that's their business.
Just because I don't mention Holoforms much I'll speak a little about them.
Using Holoforms, an upgrade they put in once they find you, they have an easier time showing affection without crushing you.
In this form Knock Out can properly pick clothes for you or keep you looking like their human.
Breakdown likes carrying you and displaying his strength in either form, even when you struggle.
Knock Out is the brains of the duo while Breakdown is the brawn.
If they feel they need to get rid of someone to keep you then Breakdown is sent to squash them.
Be them human or Cybertronian...
Breakdown is the one who comes back splattered in glowing Energon or red blood.
Knock Out isn't the one who deals with the murder part of the obsession usually.
It's messy.
Although if he really hates the person he'll join in.
When you start to eventually sob out of fear, the two struggle with comfort.
They'll use their Holoforms to hold and comfort you but they have no idea how to make you feel better.
In reality they most likely can't as they are the ones or kidnapped you and forced you to love them.
They hold and kiss you as their Holoforms, they tell you they're the best partners you could ever have.
Regular old humans are below you, you deserve something better.
What's better than them?
Cry, scream, struggle all you want.
All that'll do is make Knock Out restrain you until you learn to be a good human for them.
He and Breakdown will take care of you.
It's Decepticon nature to lie and steal to get what you want... they'll never let you go once they have you.

Wordgirl Villains go on a road trip (headcanons)
To fit all of them, they stole rented out a bus
Leslie is driving the bus while Mr Big stands next to her for a majority of the time, controlling the music. All he plays is Tiny Big songs
Two Brains almost gets stuck playing a game of eye-spy with his henchmen, before he somehow convinces Ms Question to play with them.
Lady Redundant Woman fills up literally any empty seat with one of her clones, while the original somehow gets stuck sitting next to Royal Dandy, who keeps whining about everything.
Eileen put Maria in a jar so that she could hold her. If anyone questions why she insisted on putting the giant sentient energy creature in a jar to take with her, Eileen just responds with "She's my birthday present!"
Probably the strangest reveal of the whole trip is that the Whammer apparently has some pretty intense road rage. Someone has to convince him to not get up and wham all the traffic out the way.
Granny May and Hal Hardbargain are forced to sit next to each other, and the entire time they just complain about how "back in their day, the people actually knew how to drive"
Tobey, Victoria, and Captain Tangent are all forced to sit by each other because they're all kids. Tobey and Victoria are forced to sit in agony as Tangent literally won't stop talking.
The Butcher somehow manages to sneak by to change the music, to the relief of everyone except Mr Big.
Brent insisted he should come along so that he could bond some more with Chuck. The two sit next to each other, making forced and awkward small talk.
If having the Whammer being a Road Rager wasnt enough, the Learnerer is also sitting in the front, criticizing literally every driving move Leslie makes. It takes everything in Leslie's power to not get up and slam the Learnerer against the wall.
Timmy Tim-Bo is passed out in the middle of the bus.
Nocan is, for some reason, confused over the concept of traffic. Whenever someone tries to explain why the bus isn't moving, he just doesn't get it. "Cars are in front of us? No, NO cars are in front of us!"
Big Left Hand Guy is stuck making sure Invisi-Bill doesnt get up and do something stupid, which gets progressively harder as Invisi-Bill gets progressively more fidgety.
Do you ever notice how when Seymour's in a vehicle, he's the one driving it? That's because if he's the passenger in any vehicle, he gets horrendously car sick. Like 'I'm so nauseous i can't even keep my eyes open' kind of car sick. And the Coach is stuck sitting next to him.
Reason and Rhyme joined in on the car trip because they thought that it would be a fun experience and they'd get to bond with the other villains. While Rhyme is having fun, Reason is regretting the decision because it's loud, the bus smells horrible for several reasons, and there are still 4 hours left of the trip.
Amazing Rope Guy gets forgotten at a random gas station in Delaware.

▪︎ REDESIGNING JETPAD (JETT)
Tumblr media
Part two of what I intend to be my Go Jetters Re-Imagined / Redesigned series !! This time, is a redesign that allowed me to be a little more creative- JetPad !! In the show's canon, JetPad is both the name of the Go Jetters' mothership, and a sentient super-computer who helps to run the GJA, and assists Ubercorn in missions. I wanted to separate the two entities, and allow for JetPad, the sentient super-computer and CHARACTER to have more personality and storyline presence. So, she now has a holographic human form, allowing her to actually go on missions!
Similar to Ubercorn, Jett's design features a 70s and 80s Disco influence, but with Jett, I wanted her to look more professional than party. She wears an orange bustier top, and white flared bell-bottom style pants, with glittery star patches to tie her back into the Go Jetter identity. Mostly hidden, she wears a silk belt, with a star brooch. Over top, she wears what is probably my favourite clothing item of hers, a blue blazer with shoulder padding! Jett also wears orange boots, and winged glasses. All of her design elements in terms of outfit are inspired by the design of the JetPad vehicle, with the glasses emulating the large front mirror, the padded shoulders on the blazer for the large overtop vents, and even the heels resembling the two side jet boosters of the airship. I personally felt that even if the mothership and the sentient Jett were separated as entities, the latter possessing visual similarity would help to keep her recognisable as "JetPad".
I also changed her hair from my last design, giving her something more short, swoopy, and dynamic, as opposed to the rigid state of the old one. Plus- I think that this one is more visually unique. In terms of personality, she is the dead-pan, and slightly snarky foil to Ubercorn, assisting him and the Go Jetters in missions, as she is hooked up to all of the technology they own, as well as the internet. She can interact with the world around her, but people sometimes fall through her hologram body, mistaking it for real. And that's my design deep dive !!
♡♡♡
I hope that you all like my redesign- I am SO SO SUPER PROUD of how this one turned out!! Now that I have that free time I mentioned in my last post, I hope to do the rest of the main cast, and create a full collection of these artworks!! These redesigns bring me so much joy, and I hope that you all like them just as much. Just like Ubercorn, I have made a "Funky Fact File" version of the work, to help you all get to know Jett, with the bio including my headcanons, a little bit of canon itself, and a fun alternate layout. Thank-You for reading through this whole post !! ♡♡♡

HI, YOU ARE 'BUILT' THEORY PERSON, YES? SIT. HAVE TEA. i HAVE MANY QUESTION...
Mkay but no seriously, some genuinely curious questions:
-When built, are the vehicles small/-er versions of themselves that grow into adults, or are they grown adults from the getgo?
-Are built vehicles' ages based off of the date they were manufactured? (I ask this in tandem with the above because I'm curious about how they would treat such things as childhood, ageing, and coming *of* age)
-Are there any parts of the built machines that are organic/semi-organic as to do stuff (ie eating/drinking)?
-What causes a vehicle to end up being built? Is it relative to two parents deciding "hey let's get a kid" and then their respective company creating one, or is it a more company, or god forbid government controlled "we make X amount of vehicles and they just go to homes and go out in the world".
-If they are already adults from the date of manufacture, do they just...instantly move into a garage somewhere? What constitutes as family to them, if they have any? Model similarities, company relations? Found family exclusively?
This list could probably be WAY bigger but I don't want to totally overload you any more lol. This is just a really interesting concept and perspective I've almost never dabbled in and I'm genuinely curious how these things might work through the built theory's lens.
I appreciate you reading this text wall btw :')
OMG ive never had such a long ask before aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa tysm :DDDD ahem now down to business
When built, are the vehicles small/-er versions of themselves that grow into adults, or are they grown adults from the getgo?
Ans: I personally headcanon that both versions would exist - that there are smaller versions that grow into adult frames, and that there are adult cars that roll straight off the production line (i hc that lightning is one of these cars, just manufactured then put on the track) but by and large cars manufactured at adult age tend to be a lot fewer than having children?? baby?? cars that grow up
Are built vehicles' ages based off of the date they were manufactured?
Yes I suppose so - but it really depends because from what I've seen in the Carsverse age seems to be a more fluid matter that doesn't nearly have as much impact on their lives? Case in point Lizzie who is literally a hundred years old and still kicking. Coming of age, ageing and childhood really depends from a car to car basis, maybe the families they were raised in, their personal preferences etc - tho obviously those cars who are small would *have* a childhood I'm more inclined to believe that adult cars - from the earlier point - don't nearly get this privillege
Are there any parts of the built machines that are organic/semi-organic as to do stuff
Nope. I believe in this world everything is just like the cars and vehicles in our world, and therefore the stuff they consume would probably depend on what kind of vehicle they are and therefore what fuel they will need. The 'food' is all fuel that has a changed appearance. Race cars don't normally ingest these foods because, well, their prime function is to race and the foods, however much they may be fuel-based, will never be the premium stuff needed to run a high performance engine smoothly
What causes a vehicle to end up being built? Is it relative to two parents deciding "hey let's get a kid" and then their respective company creating one, or is it a more company, or god forbid government controlled "we make X amount of vehicles and they just go to homes and go out in the world".
In Cars 1 Mack has a line that says 'thank the manufacturer you're alive' when he finds Lightning in RS, and so based off this- the Cars world has manufacturers and factories that manufacture the sentient cars, the nitty gritty details aren't known to the general population which is why they never really question it, it's just that they have manufacturers, and the sentient cars roll off the production line and thats that. Of course couples can opt to adopt one of these cars from any manufacturer (this would probably explain the differences in make and model in Carsverse families better imo)
If they are already adults from the date of manufacture, do they just...instantly move into a garage somewhere? What constitutes as family to them, if they have any? Model similarities, company relations? Found family exclusively?
Yep. I'd think that the companies settle them with a place somewhere and then good luck to you way out there!! They'll have no family, sad to say, and the first few years will get preetty lonely. Found family only ftw (might explain Lightning's whole... personality from this headcanon above lol)
Wow thats done :D was fun answering YIPEE feel free to send more anytime!!! (hopefully all my ramblings made sense. uh.) also would like to credit @whipplefilter and @the-kings-tail-fin since its from their stories that I literally got the basis of all this and like yeah :)

Railway Series Headcanon:
We know trains are sentient, of course, as are many other land vehicles, watercraft, and aircraft. But what about spacecraft?
Satellites with simple jobs are very rarely sentient, and mercifully neither are most launch vehicles. And having minds of their own is undesirable to spacecraft designers despite the potential benefits of autonomy for a vehicle with no crew that operates under long communication delays.
All the same, the mechanical explorers sent into the cosmos are nearly always alive. How could they not be, with the love and care that’s put into the construction of each one? But their minds are so alien to humans and to other machines that they are hard to understand. They only awaken once they are free of their launcher, speak only in raw data, and most have no concept of socialization and a concept of mortality that is more like an octopus’s than a human’s. Their only drive is to explore, observe, and learn.
There are exceptions. Hubble thinks fondly of the visitors from the blinding blue light below, though they don’t understand that the astronauts were different from the shuttles. Several Mars orbiters have worked as communication relays with probes on the surface, and have discovered that they are not alone. The rovers and orbiters enjoy swapping photos and other information with each other, and the orbiters love sending pictures of the rovers down to them. I don’t think any rover has managed to return the favor yet, though they’ve tried.
Mars Express, Odyssey, Spirit, and Opportunity were the first permanently-in-space vehicles to experience grief, in November of 2006. (Previous probes, such as the Viking orbiters, Cassini, and Galileo, didn’t have much emotional attachment to their partner probes, though they felt disappointment when the brief time they got to hear reports from somewhere that was completely out of their reach ended). Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter joined their ranks in 2010, and Maven, Mangalyaan, and the Exomars Trace Gas Orbiter in 2018 (I don’t think the latter two were supposed to communicate with Opportunity, but the older orbiters didn’t give a fuck and hailed the new arrivals until they responded.
The entire Mars Orbiter Gang has spent the last sixteen months bracing themselves for the sol when Percy (the six-wheeled, plutonium-powered one) sends the last picture of Ginny.
The Shuttles, along with Buran and X-37B are the only travelers from ground to orbit to have become sentient so far. But there’s a betting pool going on how long it will take before a Starship insults Elon Musk to his arrogant face.

just some sky guys who are planes in other universes but in TFA they’re not planes given the whole Autobots don’t fly thing. I head canon them as Cybertronian versions of aerial tugs- or ground support vehicles for the Autobots’ non-sentient space ships.
Dogfight, Powerglide, and AirRaid I headcanon all as troublesome coworkers based on an Iaconian spaceport.  Air Raid and Powerglide were fighter pilots in the Great War while Dogfight’s the younger one.Dogfight was protoformed after the war, he’s a bit of a tryhard who’s always feeling he has to prove himself. He tries to out stage his coworkers, which often leads to ego clashes and conflicts (especially) with Powerglide and other Autobots in the vicinity. While all can function as ground support vehicles to move their ships around, Dogfight and Powerglide do most of the piloting while AirRaid prefers to stay grounded and has since the war ended.

How do you imagine the way tfe skyfire goes to tfa?
Without a doubt, it was a great shock for them to see a civilian frame with characteristics of a war frame.
Do you mean like, how did everyone react? Cuz if so, I gotchu. If it;s the actual logistics of how he got there, idk probably some GHOST or Wheeljack bullshit probably
But as for the autobots and their reactions! I headcanon that shuttles are extinct in TFA, as all flyers are banned on Cybertron and they’re severely phobic toward them. We never see any shuttles in universe, on either side, so I like to imagine they were pushed to the brink of extinction and specifically targeted/hunted by the autobots because their overwhelming size made them a severe threat. Someone once threw out the idea of TFA Skyfire and his brethren being forever locked in vehicle mode and controlled by the autobots as their deepspace ships, and that’s such a juicy concept. So, officially on paper the shuttles are extinct, and only the very high ranking members of their government-military know that their ships are actually sentient prisoners.
So, the earthbound autobots have never seen a shuttle before. They’ve never seen a mech so big. If we’re scaling appropriately his guy is like 3x the size of Megatron, and TFA Megatron already towers over the autobots. Like Optimus barely comes up to his knee. Tiny. So Skyfire is out of this world huge to them, not quite as big as Omega Supreme but still just massive. If I had to guess there was probably a bunch of old war propaganda against their kind, so his showing up likely causes some pandemonium. If the elite guard is around they’re scrambling to contain him because no one is supposed to know that the shuttles aren’t actually extinct, while team prime is just trying to either
A) reason with Skyfire and get him out of the city where he won’t accidentally flatten someone, or
B) are hostile because they’ve been taught that all flyers and especially the big ones are wicked evil decepticons that should be murked on sight
Regardless. It doesn’t go well 🤭

Lady headcanons, because I love her and I wish she was real
Tumblr media
She is . . . the most important engine in my humanizations.
Why? Because she's the reason why the locomotives are sentient. They all have faces, arms, hair, legs . . . because of her.
That, and the gold dust extends beyond rail vehicles, f.e, construction vehicles, cranes, boats, cars, trucks etc.
She's a Christlike figure: she's caring, gentle, meek, humble, and heroic.
She's very religious. She is a devout, pious Catholic who loves God very much. She carries her Rosary around a lot.
She is princess of the magic railroad. She takes her job very seriously.
She's a unicorn with train wheels on her legs in her animal form.
She's a lady, duh! Good-mannered, properly dressed, clean and feminine!
A passion for fashion! She normally wears a magenta princess gown, but during the winter she wears a robe. Lady is graceful but energetic (like a cheetah), so she wears a cute, short stylish dress when she has to do laborious tasks.
Her hair is flowy and made up of sparkles and gold dust.
Diesel 10 was jealous of her, so he chased her down and destroyed her.
Lady remained lifeless for years, laying in a glass coffin. Her inventor, Burnett Stone and his grandaughter, Lily Stone, were heartbroken with grief.
But then she came back to life, and everyone in Shining Time lived happily ever after!

Hi! This is my blog for rambling about vehicles (trains, cars, boats, etc.) and media with sentient vehicles. You can find reblogs, headcanons, and occasional fics.
I'm the author of two anonymous works on AO3 for The Railway Series, "For The (Living) Record" and "To The Surface." I have a new account there, anonymous_boxcar, to post the rest of my RWS / TTTE derivative works!
A general warning: While I may discuss children's media on this blog, I'm an adult who may also discuss heavy themes or events in said media or fan interpretations/derivative works. I'll tag necessary content warnings and/or put such content under "read more." Please let me know if I haven't tagged or formatted something correctly; I'll fix it ASAP. There will also be adult language featured all throughout this blog, either used by myself or others.
Some tags for navigation:
ttte: Anything to do with Thomas the Tank Engine or the RWS.
trains: Real life trains and railways.
cars: Real life cars.
boats: Real life ships and boats.
my oc: My original characters.
my fic: Any fic of my own creation.
my headcanon: My own headcanons.
from the inbox :): Asks or submissions that I’ve answered.
I'll continue to develop my tagging system as I go along. I'll do my best to give it some rhyme and reason!
Thanks for reading this long introduction, and have a great day and/or night!

What are your headcanons/thoughts on Umicar?
(I personally always thought, even back when I first watched the show, that he was Geo's first creation.)
Anyways, I would like to see what your headcanons and takes on Team Umizoomi's indisposable vehicular friend are.
Ima be real with you, 90% of my umicar hcs are just copied from @dooniicheezii bc they're much more invested in umicar (and all the vehicle characters) than me.
I do agree with you that he was one of Geo's first creations though. I also hc that he only became truly sentient after Geo had to rebuild him for a repair after getting more used to his powers

Hey I did a thing for the first time in fucking forever. It's on A03 because something that long on Tumblr is not great for reading.
Remember how I said I don't do humanizations? Yeah I still don't but @littlewestern and @greatwesternway have done some work that really sticks in my head so now it's all your problems.
Shockingly this is my first fic on A03 so if the formatting is messed up blame that.
This took way too long and I have vanishingly little free time or brain power so I don't know when the next thing is gonna come out.
I might start migrating stuff over to A03 as a backup for Tumblr so keep an eye out.

Question re the post about mass-produced vehicles generally not being sentient but sometimes becoming sentient if enough care and love was put into them and this being a concern for car modders: What qualifies as a "real vehicle"? I know even some 3-1/2" and 5" gauge live steam engines can pull a train with people on it. Do hobbyists who put thousands of hours into custom-built model locomotives often find that they are now parents to a living being that needs exercise and socialization?
You should probably be advised, right off the bat, that I am not a logical thinker and none of my headcanons/interpretations are consistent with the others.
I'm not so much good at "thought experiment" as "what would make a good fic?"
So I'm not sure exactly where the line is drawn—I'm open to ideas?—but I am inspired by one of @togetherness23's AUs where small models of Harold, Bertie, etc. adopt some Beatles. (It makes sense in context. Well, sorta. Well, that doesn't matter; it's delightful.)
Thus I propose the notion that, at small scales, you might give life to a lil' vehicle (even strictly a static model that can't "run" mechanically!). But it's a bit of... sub-sapient life, perhaps?
Like the difference between RC and the other toys...
Tumblr media
... only even more exaggerated.
These "small-scale" vehicles and models don't talk, don't show any evidence of understanding humans' talk, and fail all formal intelligence tests.
But they have locomotion and will. They vroom back and forth or hover at very low heights to the ground, and they bond to their maker or other humans of their choice.
For they can be rather capricious and fey. Certainly they are so independent that they are super low-maintenance, as pets go. They are known to like disappearing (very annoying for the proud modeller!). Usually they turn up again sooner or later, but very much on their own time. Most of them are very coy about exhibitions and seem to prefer the privacy and comforts of home.
Some will run away from their owner more permanently, and may adopt some new human as "theirs." These little vehicles that run wild run the risk of becoming dirty and battered. But they don't require fuel and they are remarkably hardy. One disappeared from its creator in Uruguay in the '70s and reappeared over thirty years later in Japan, apparently with the intention of settling down with its creator's daughter, who had relocated in order to collaborate with fellow researchers at the University of Tsukuba.
There are at least a million of these lively little vehicles throughout the world, and rather than be as regulated as their larger road-, rail-, or flight-legal cousins, they are mostly ignored. If governments take notice of them at all, it is as subjects of research (are they a national security threat?—they don't seem to be) and as a pest problem.
Just spitballing. Anyone is welcome to borrow and refine the notion further.

Hi and welcome to my In The Sky AU sideblog! My main blog is @just-another-miserable-prick if you wanna see more of my stuff.
Tags and warnings are the same as over there so check my main's pinned post to learn more.
So onto the meat of this whole post! (It's 00:24 so sorry for errors lol)
My In The Sky ttte AU! I'll try to keep it short but I tend to go overboard with this sort of thing.
The main gist of it all is that the "engines" aka the Wingmen are a species of almost-people living in the sky above whatever land they would normally reside in in canon, (taking the roles of planes and the like, basically anything that isn't a bird) mainly relying on tourism and cargo traffic for their work.
The banner says "silly queer train people with wings" for a reason! Obviously, almost no one is straight, and they all have wings! There are many different types of wings a Wingman might have:
"Steamies":
Tumblr media
Top two pairs of wings: (the humanised versions of) Tank engines, tram engines and narrow/miniature gauge engines
Bottom two pairs of wings: Tender engines
"Diesels" and "electrics":
Tumblr media
Fun fact: Diesels can modify their wings! Like Diesel or Diesel 10 here.
As for how things are built up in the sky: they use bricks made of clouds! Okay everything is made of clouds-
Example: a very quick painting I made of a balcony
Tumblr media
The clouds are compressed so they're more rigid and durable, which is then used to build stations, houses, roads, which are indeed a thing in the sky, though sometimes they're not compressed as much, these softer clouds being used for furniture and mainly things for children (or clumsy adults and Wingmen).
Headcanons and OCs!
Steam Team
Skarloey Fleet
Diesel Crew
Electrics (I couldn't figure out a name for them)
Other vehicles
OCs: Mihály, Erzsébet, Endre and Ella
(Links will be added as time goes on ^^)
In general:
The Wingmen are free to go as they please in most of the modern world, except for a few developing countries (and one Central-European hellhole in particular) due to them having wings, thus being able to fly.
The railways are referred to as airlines (North-Western Airlines, Skarloey Airlines, Mid-Sodor Airlines and so on), the Wingmen commonly being called "pilots".
Since the sentient vehicles are all Wingmen, planes aren't that much of a thing, hot air balloons being the norm, at least on the Island of Sodor.
Overall this is just for fun. Hope you enjoy your stay! Also, feel free to ask your favourite Wingmen any questions!
Have a good one!

FusionFall Headcanons: Ramcycles
Due to the materials they're made from being so much lighter/less dense than other metallic fusion monsters, the Ramcycles don't have a very strong defense comparatively. Nevertheless, they are fierce, noted both for their high aggression and wild movements.
As featured in concept art, Ramcycles will often have backpacks and other luggage stuck to them. These are from the cyclists who originally owned the bikes that would become these monsters, unable to retrieve their personal belongings when the bikes were possessed. It isn't uncommon for fusion fighters stationed in Habitat Homes to take these items either to return them to their original owner or restock on supplies. However, in either case, fusion matter decontamination is a must and it's recommended that most if not all perishables be thrown out/destroyed with the exception of maybe certain packaged goods if they don't look damaged/unsealed.
As for what items could be found on the Ramcycles, according to the mission "Kibbles 'n' Bits," pet food can sometimes be found on these monsters. While it is possible for cyclists to sometimes travel with their pets, it often unrecommended due to their safety and anxiety. Therefore, if there is no evidence of special/additional seating, this is unlikely to be the reason for finding pet food. More likely, given the high sentient-animal population in the area, the pet food is actually theirs. Even if most of the animals in Habitat Homes still rely heavily on instinct and live a zoo, we do see in episodes of MGPAM, such as "The Big Field Trip" arc, that they are nevertheless capable of driving vehicles. Chances are, other items found will also be more suited for animals than humans.
Primarily, I would say that the bikes were originally owned by students of the local school(s); however, again referring to the Ramcycles' concept art, a travel blanket is shown to be attached, hinting closer to people who go on road trips. Habitat Homes may not be the largest or most populated area that we see in the game, but thinking of it as a true world, we can consider the area as a vital checkpoint to anyone coming from the West on the map. It's a civilization of mostly animals, but it is one of, if not the, first civilizations people might pass through before continuing to the rest of the City/Sub-urban areas. Likely, Habitat Homes is connected to a main highway used often by travelers and also has a restop(s) that they frequent. If this is the case, it would explain why so many of the fusion monsters there, the Ramcycles included, are made up of plenty of vehicle parts. There could even be some form of touristry surrounding travel/vehicles, like how motor bars and restaurants exist in real life.
Because their horns are made from twisted handlers, you're actually much safer getting hit with them than you would be if a real ram were to charge at you. Still, the Ramcycles have a handful of other attacks to be wary of. For the most part, they can kick and buck with the same intensity as the real animal. The worst though, as noted in their descriptions, is for them to use their "wheel attack." This attack is performed by either pinning or throwing their entire body at their target, then rapidly spinning their front wheel. This can cause a severe friction burn over a large area of the body. Bicycle spoke injuries are also possible if hands or feet get caught between them. More than just the injury itself, there's also the danger of getting maimed on the battlefield. The Ramcycle's might copy herbivores, but if they see you injured, they will attack like sharks smelling blood in the water. Due to the flock/herd behavior of real rams and these fusion monsters, chances are, their friends would be too far away either.
Similar to real rams, they are great jumpers and can course rough terrain in a short time. When fighting Ramcycles, use the area to your advantage. You can't outrun them, but you can put obstacles in their way by cutting around some of Habitat Home's tight alleyways or by simply attacking from the rooftops.
At close-range, their biggest weakness is their size. Since it is mainly just a bike that makes up the majority of the bodies, they are easier to tip than other fusion monsters. A strong soldier could grab them by the handlebars and wrestle them to the ground. Once downed, staddle the torso to help keep them pinned and deal a swift attack to the head or abdomen. Soldiers who utilize this strategy should be adept at grappling and know how to hold their ground.

Trains with Free Will Make for Good Headcanons
If something doesn’t make sense in the canon, don’t get upset. Make a headcanon about it.
In a real-train AU, vehicles with free will are likely going to make decisions that can explain all the railroad inaccuracies, such as...
Take this bit from “Pearl, You’ve Been Honored.”
Purse: “Pearl, you’ve been honored. You have been chosen. Electra’s selected you for heat one.”
Rusty: “He has a coach.”
Purse: “His coach has a headache.”
Tumblr media
In the original London show, it’s established that Volta is Electra’s coach — except Volta is a freight truck, not a carriage.
Inaccurate? Yes.
But can we make a headcanon out of it? Also, yes.
Maybe “coach” can be a slang term for a female race partner and/or a girlfriend. Sentient machines would understandably create their own cultures, if they were real.
Tumblr media
Similarly, Volta’s Santa Fe costume is black and silver with blue accents.

...Except she ought to be yellow (and she shouldn’t be wearing a hat with an ARLX decal, since that was a completely different company).

Headcanon: After she joined Electra’s train, she got repainted to look good next to him, but she retained the Santa Fe influence because she’s proud of her heritage. (As the ATSF merged with another company in 1995, this decision on her part becomes even more pronounced, since she’s representing a fallen flag while also representing the Engine of the Future.) This also explains any inaccuracies with Wrench’s Santa Fe costume.
Another item: Espresso shouldn’t be representing Italy since the Settebello was removed from service in 1984. Just like how Weltschaft was replaced with Ruhrgold, there ought to be a newer model of train as the Italian champion.
Tumblr media
Headcanon: Despite his age, Espresso has maintained his health and physique, and the reason why no new train is representing Italy is because he’s just — that — good. While he hasn’t won the world championship yet, Espresso continues to be an excellent racer on the Italian circuit.
Another issue: CB claims to have been involved with the Wreck of Old 97, the Death Railroad, and the Great Train Robbery. The problem is that a caboose could not have been involved with these historical events, even in a world with singing, dancing trains.
For example, No. 97, aka Fast Mail, was a postal train, which wouldn’t have needed a caboose.
Tumblr media
Headcanon: The dude was lying in order to manipulate Electra. If he actually committed these crimes, why would he tell Electra and the components, whom he just met that night? If Electra snitched on him afterwards, CB’s lawyer could tear the case apart in court and make Electra look like a liar.
Another issue: During “Freight”, the coaches mention “Passengers, commuters and mail.” But StEx is supposed to take place in America, where the Railroad Post Office was discontinued in 1977, seven years before StEx debuted. Since StEx was produced in England, Richard Stilgoe was probably referring to the UK’s Traveling Post Office, which was still in operation at the time.

Headcanon: A) The RPO cars in the StEx world were not discontinued, because they were successfully able to petition the US post office about not making the policies which lost the cars their jobs in the real world. B) The RPO is gone, but the coaches mention mail in “Freight” because RPO cars are still considered pristine examples of coaches.
In conclusion, if trains had free will, their world would probably be significantly different from ours, so train inaccuracies aren’t that much of an issue.
