Favorite part of rendering is setting up the lighting and editing! One of my favorite things to do is mess with lighting which is why neon lights are a need in my game and the light points in Blender are my babies lmao

Least favorite part has to be posing the sim and appending the set and objects into Blender because it takes a minute depending on how much you need to do and sometimes I don't have the poses I need.

Here's my least fave render and favorite render! Least fave bc it was my first so I didn't know shit and favorite because I had a whole special narrative for this that also fits their story themes.

Hello!

I think I've made it clear how much I love San Sequoia, so I think I'd have to pick it lol. I love the weather, the architecture, the views, the neighborhoods...everything! Well, everything except how many lots there are. 😒

It seems like a nice place to live far enough away from the hustle and bustle and glitz of Del Sol Valley but not out in the sticks. I'm a suburbs kind of gal, but I like being within a stones throw of a big city.

OMG, hello!

I usually play a single family for a long time, for multiple generations. Back when I first got the Sims 4 I played with one family for I think eight generations, which was insane. I currently have a Sims 3 save where my founders are now very old great-grandparents in Sunset Valley.

I legit can't play anything outside of a large generations-type household. Anything else is boring to me.

For Part one: I only really prioritize building the house my sims will live in myself, but then everywhere else I kind of just,,, use gallery lots 😭😭 Or in the case of Copperdale, I downloaded a couple lots from Okiyuki(? I think is their name,,,) which was the high school and the auditorium (career day/prom/grad). I *try* to re-decorate other buildings myself but I always lose motivation halfway thru 🥲🥲

For Part two: Same as the first one, but since it's gameplay, idgaf how other lots rlly look, but also I don't post a lot of gameplay/legacy stuff anymore (except for MtMoi I guess ? 😭)

And for both Gameplay and Story, I usually build onto the house until I cant anymore, under the impression that I built the house myself, in the case of NSB Gen 1, I built Coral's house from the ground up and continued to rebuild onto that house like it was the house from What Remains of Edith Finch LMAOO I got to floor 4 and had like 10 sims in my household and was like awww hell naw I am NOT doing this and moved Cataleya (Gen 2) and her Quads (Gen 3) out to that one big house in Copperdale, and since this house is pre-built, it'd be incredibly unlikely for me to build onto that house cuz I hate rebuilding already built and decorated houses <:P (altho I did have to redecorate the house cuz it was unfurnished when i moved into it aishdygfvh)

Ooh I love this question! The longest I've played with a legacy I think is when I got to the third generation of thr Family Dynamics challenge a few years ago. I can't remember exactly when but I started playing it when Oshin did on YouTube as a point of reference for when this was for me. My third gen heir was a teen and I got about halfway through maxing the handiness skill and then I got burnout and stopped playing with that legacy 😂

Hi SQOTD anon! Hope you are well!

So, for my 100 BC, I started with houses that were already in the world and built onto them as time passed. For my BACC, I build all the lots (I mean the thing is called build a city). Same for my UDC, obviously, as there isn't many pre-built medieval lots.For my Rival Matriarch challenge, I use someone else's save, I think @maybe-emily's, and I will build onto the houses as time passes.

This is my first SQOTD so thank you!!! Sorry for late reply though haha.

Anyway, I would go with either Windenburg or San Myshuno (or perhaps even Bridgeport). I am both a creature of habit and a city person.

Windenburg is most similar to where I'm from, so it always feels the most comfortable to me. That's also why it's probably the world I like to play in the most.

As for San Myshuno and Bridgeport, I have always preferred life in the city. I feel almost "claustrophobic" in a village area because it's much more difficult to get anywhere. I wanna be able to go into town and check out the shops. Even if I'm not buying anything, it just feels more comfortable to me. Also, it's much more anonymous, which I much prefer. Obviously, these worlds don't have shops like irl, but they meet the right vibe. Plus, I have always enjoyed playing in the city apartments, and I can imagine myself living in those, too.

Random fact: One of my fave families I've played in ts3 was in Bridgeport, and one day the game froze when I tried to move one daughter to her spouse's household. I had not saved in a long time, and so much had happened, so I never played that save again. It was a sad day.

Oo yay, looking forward to answering this one!~ I've got 3 stories on the go right now. 1. Primarily I'll build lots for myself, or put in a request with my friends, but i'm more likely to build them myself [see my Vault build for example]. However there are times where I feel I can't do justice to what I want and I'll have to find something on the gallery [and even then it's grueling!]

2. I'll also mostly build! I tend to demolish and rebuild rather than building on to a house as I find it difficult to figure out extra rooms, or I'll move them. I just finished a house for Esterah which ya'll won't see for a while, but it's cute! They needed more space afterall!

answering is this late cos I forgot 😭

1️⃣ I do a combination of building and downloading from the gallery. I do not enjoy making exteriors so I typically download a shell or a decorated lot from the gallery and then edit it for my story needs.

2️⃣ I do the same as a above for gameplay posts! I'll also build onto a lot quite often, I'm very prone to a basement expansion when needed!

First of all, thank you so much for starting this blog to bring some life to the community! It's so nice seeing you sending these and spreading it around Simblr bc I already enjoyed seeing others answer the SQOTD asks since last year so it's cool others are trying to do more with it!

Okay now to answer your ask:

I do story posts and for indoor scenes, if I need a quick set for 2-5 posts, it's usually just a gray box all decorated bc I can't build and it won't matter bc nobody's gonna see the outside. Now if I want a more immersive scene where exterior sets will be shown, I get lots either from the gallery (if I'm updated) or from Tumblr. I'm more of a decorator than builder so for all lots I fill it up with CC and deco sims when needed. I also have some amazing friends and mutuals who can build and have privately shared their lots with me to use. I'm hoping to try to get a little bit better at building tho! There's a youtube channel I've been watching that has taught me some pretty cool building tricks. 😊

01. Hair: I usually like to use vanilla hair, but I'm obsessed with the hairs by @rustys-cc. I have to control myself to not use them on every single Sim! They just look good on everyone!

02. Skinblend: Not to toot my own horn, but I'm still using my own skinblend, especially after @missrubybird released their default version of my other favorite skin, Pufferfish. It's so beautiful, and I love how both pair together!

03. Moles: If I don't control myself, every single sim will have face moles lol. I love them and I think they add personality to my sims. My all-time favorite is this amazing pack by @vegantrait. You can create your own combinations or have only a single mole!

04. Face Details: I'm a huge believer in face details, lol. I think that's why I don't have many skinblends in my folder. I like the flexibility to choose and create unique Sims every time. My current favorite one is the Face Detail 02 by @miikocc.

05. Face Definition: It has to be the one by @nesurii. I literally use this ALL THE TIME. It totally changed the way I make my Sims! I'm totally addicted to it. That's it.

06. Face Shine: @frenchiesimgirl has the best ones! I love to use this one on my more glamorous Sims to enhance the expensive skincare they might be using. 💅💅

07. Eyebrows: I don't have one eyebrow specifically, but I have ALL eyebrows by @goppolsme. Ever since I started using them, I deleted all my other brows. It's honestly true love. I love how they look so much!

08. Eyeshadow: I never believed someone could overcome the Neutrals Palette supremacy, but of course, @crypticsim came and beat his own game with the Channel Surfing Collection. I use both Selfish and Default all the time

09. Eyes & Catchlight: Once again, @missrubybird holds the supremacy in my default folders, and I use their Aqua Trigger Eyes nonstop for almost three years now! I love them so much that I also use the Non-Default versions! I always pair it with @pyxiidis In Out Talons Catchlight!

10. Eyelashes: Kijiko 3D Eyelashes - but I'm obsessed with the Historian Recolor by @anxiousmoodlet. I definitely use it more than the original!

11. Lips: I have a few favorite lips, but the newest one is the Suga Lips by @xurbansimsx. I love all of her lips - I recommend them all!

Extra: Nails! I cannot express the emotional attachment I have with these nails by @xurbansimsx. They look so good and so natural. I'm in love with them! I totally wish she releases more colors... maybe something to match Lamatise's Bare Skintones... *wink* *wink*
