Pretty on Purpose
HOW TO MAINTAIN A PRETTY AURA ON A BUDGET
beauty maintenance tips:
at home mani-pedi: having your nails done at a salon constantly can sometimes be hard to keep up with when you don’t have the budget for a 70-150$ set every 2 weeks, so pick up a at home acrylic set to do for yourself along with some cute nail polish for your toes💅🏽 I usually stick to a super cute but classic french manicure. KISS Salon Acrylic Nude set is so pretty + fits every skin tone! It retails for about 7 dollars + lasts for over a week! with great care they can stretched for two weeks.
kitchen face masks: im not crazy about DIY skincare because i do believe proper skin care products are specifically made to absorb into the skin, not just sit on top BUT i do understand running out of my favorite LUSH mask of magnaminty while i’m trying to save a coin or two can cause more stress pimples than my pretty face can afford. SO, a simple yet effective mask (+ only kitchen masks i’ll ever whip up) is my go-to. Try a mix of manuka honey (or any unfiltered RAW honey) and turmeric. That’s all, mix a small amount + apply to your skin for even tone and glowy skin. Also you can’t go wrong with a Aztec Healing Clay Mask, that’ll run you about 12 bucks.
style your natural hair: hair tends to be my BIGGEST beauty bill, so during times when i need save + my hair isn’t already in a style, i focus on styling my curls. Slick back buns + ponytails are my go-to. It’s simple, sleek, + super cute! If managing your natural hair is too much, braiding hair is about 5-8 $ per pack, this’ll be a great time to sit in front a mirror, prop up that laptop + find a good tutorial on easy braid styles. Learn how to do knotless braids on yourself or those super adorable North West chunky braids, building skill during this time could not only save you money but with practice, save you the hassle we all experience dealing with hairstylist.
body mist + perfume minis: idk about y’all but when i look + SMELL good, i feel good. Running out your favorite fragrances during a time when you don’t have the extra cash to re-up can be like losing an old and familiar friend, look up the notes in that fragrance + make your way to a department store like Marshall’s, Ross, TJ Maxx, Burlington, Walmart or Target + get a body mist or perfume dupe! Marshall’s + TJ Maxx usually carry a travel size of many lux perfumes. If you’re obsessed with Juicy Couture fragrances like me, they’re always at these places for super low prices too. Body mists with similar notes can give you a more affordable fragrance option too. To keep body mists scent lingering a little longer try to pick up a similar scented body oil. These options shouldn’t cost you more than 20$, unless your aiming for the perfume dupes or smaller sizes of your favorites, most of them are going for 20-40$ which is a lot more affordable than the 120+ dollars we spend on full size perfumes.
shop your own closet + make a wishlist: shopping sprees are my favorite past time, but saving money can put a quick halt to that hobby. So instead I tend to focus on what i already have, pick out my favorites + literally style them in as many ways as i can- this is also a great time to develop your styling skill, experiment with different pairings + what not. If you just enjoy being out shopping like myself, there is nothing wrong with window shopping for yourself, i call it ‘wishlist hunting’. Go out, get yourself a nice lil lunch, grab ice coffee or chai latte and hit up your favorite stores. There is no law against browsing! (lol but avoid luxury stores or boutique due to them most times having a policy against browsing) Anyways, browse your favorite stores + make note of your next pick ups once you’re able to. It’s like manifesting lol. It also gives you something to look forward to once you’re able to splurge so you won’t be frivolously spending once you get extra coin.
mental health maintenance:
to be transparent, being in tight spot financially can sometimes cause me to worry + feel stressed, even if i’m able to manage all my bills + food. Not having extra money to do the things i want, the way i want can be depressing. My mental + emotional well-being is more important to me than just looking pretty, i want to feel that way too. Being pretty also means my thoughts aren’t against me, especially about things out of my control. Being pretty means that i’m in high energy, not only to be kind to others but kind to myself. Ive been dealing with chronic depression + anxiety since i was 14, so maintaining the things that bring me joy + comfort me is prioritized during times of worry or stress. Being pretty isn’t just about my nails + hair staying done, being pretty is knowing i’m in a safe space with myself so i wont act out in ugly ways. A lot of people don’t acknowledge how managing finances can add to stress + sadness, why should i allow myself to be angry and anxious? that’s ugly to me. Therapy isn’t always accessible or affordable, so journaling is my go-to until i’m able to access professional mental health services. A super cute girls and thems night in is great for the heart, vent it out with your closest friends. Volunteering is free! it’s a great way to give back during a time when you may not have the funds to and gets you out of your mind about things out of your control. Donate or sell some old clothes to help other itgrls on a budget be pretty on purpose. Something about seeing other people appreciate things you don’t show enough love to anymore is good for the conscious.
remember, there is no one in this universe who can be you better than yourself and who you are should not depend on how much or how little you have at any given moment.
xoxo, itgrl Pier

INSTALLATION PROCESS
A professional stylist or someone at home can perform the comparatively easy process of installing Water Wave Freetress Crochet Bundle Hair. This is a detailed tutorial on installing crochet hair.
Start by preparing your natural hair. Make sure it is clean, moisturized, and free from any tangles. This will ensure a smooth and seamless installation.
Create cornrows or braids on your natural hair. The number and size of the braids will depend on the desired style and thickness of the crochet hair.
Take a crochet hook and insert it through the base of the braid or cornrow. Attach the loop of the crochet hair to the hook and pull it through the braid.
Once the loop is pulled through, secure the ends of the crochet hair by tying a knot or using a latch hook.
Repeat the process across your entire head, making sure to evenly distribute the crochet hair for a natural look.
Style the hair as desired. You can leave it loose for a full and voluminous look or create different hairstyles such as ponytails, updos, or half-up, half-down styles.
MAINTENANCE TIPS
Proper maintenance is key to ensuring the longevity and beauty of your water wave. Here are some essential maintenance tips to keep in mind:
Regularly wash your hair with a mild shampoo and conditioner to keep it looking neat. Sulfates and other harsh chemicals can strip hair of its natural oils, so stay away from using them. Use a wide-toothed comb or your fingers to gently detangle your hair to avoid tangling and matting. Work your way up to the roots starting at the ends. To keep your hair hydrated and avoid dryness, moisturize it on a regular basis. To nourish hair and preserve its softness, use hair oil or leave-in conditioner.
Use a satin pillowcase or a satin or silk bonnet to protect your hair at night. By doing this, you can lessen friction and avoid breakage and frizz. The synthetic fibers in the crochet hair can be harmed by high temperatures, so try not to use too much heat styling. When using heat styling tools, be sure to use a heat protectant spray and maintain a low temperature.

How to Straighten Your Hair Without Heat
Heat tools are our good friend to curl hair and straighten it. But use heat tools too much is harmful to our hair.
Tips for getting straight hair without using heat
There are tricks you can try to get straight hair without frying or burning your hair with heat. Most of these tricks will work better for people with finer hair that carries a bit of a wave.
For other hair textures, it’ll be more challenging to achieve the look of straight hair without sacrificing your hair’s health. But, if you’re willing to embrace hair with a slight curl or a little bounce, you might have more options. Consider incorporating some tips below into your own straight-hair solution. Keep trying different combinations of the tricks we’ve listed until you achieve a look you love.
1. Blow dry with cold air
If you’ve already mastered straight and sleek hair via the classic “blowout,” you might consider switching up your method slightly with blasts of cool air, instead. After you’ve let your hair air-dry about three-quarters of the way, divide your hair into sections as you normally would. Use the “cool” setting on your blow-dryer, making sure that your blow-dryer is moving continuously from root to tip. Keep the blow-dryer about six inches away from your hair while you dry it.
This method shouldn’t take considerably longer, but you may need to keep a straightening serum or spray-on leave-in-conditioner at the ready to tame fly-away strands. While using a hot blow-dryer has been shown Trusted Source to damage the hair shaft, using cool air has been proven Trusted Source to cause less damage than air drying alone.
2. Wrap your hair
Hair wrapping is one of the more popular ways to get straight hair without heat styling, but not everyone knows how to do it effectively. Luckily, there are tons of hair wrapping tutorials on YouTube geared toward almost every hair type.
While there are different methods for different hair textures and lengths, the basics are pretty much the same. You’ll need “long” bobby pins (three inches in length, also called roller pins), as well as a satin “hair wrapping” scarf or turban.
To wrap hair, separate the top section where you part your hair and use a fine-toothed comb to comb it out flat. Holding the hair taut, bring the hair around to the opposite side of your head from where it naturally falls and pin it tightly to the side of your head. You’ll need to repeat this method for each section of your hair, and secure with a hair turban before you go to sleep at night.
3. Roll with plastic rollers
If you buy plastic rollers in a “jumbo” (1 3/4 diameter or bigger) size, you can achieve hair that’s slightly wavy with tons of volume and a glossy finish, no heat required. Simply divide your damp hair into medium sections and roll the products into your hair before you go to bed, or about four hours before you intend to take them out. These types of rollers may take some practice, but some people with medium-to-longer length hair swear by them. Some YouTube tutorials can help you get the idea.
4. Use products meant to straighten hair
There are shampoos, conditioners, leave-in conditioning products, hairsprays, and just about everything else you can think of that are aimed at calming and relaxing your hair. Experimenting with products that are meant for straight hair, or meant to make your hair easier to style, could be a good place to start.
Smoothing serums and keratin-packed spray-on conditioners can coat your hair strands, weighing them down and relaxing your curls.
5. Sleep with your hair wet
If it’s difficult to imagine sleeping with a hair wrap or big rollers on your head, start small and simple: Try sleeping with your hair wet. Use a hairband to tie a loose ponytail at the top of your head, then create a bun shape by wrapping your hair around that ponytail and securing it with another hair tie.
If you’re sleeping with wet hair, you may want to consider getting a satin pillowcase. This will cut down on friction against your hair that can happen while you sleep, giving your hair a straighter appearance once you let it loose in the morning.
6. Try a hair mask
You can deep-condition your hair with a DIY hair mask to give it a shinier and straighter appearance. Hair masks that are meant to restore protein to hair could make curly hair appear more relaxed. Try a hair mask that uses raw egg, manuka honey, or avocado for a deep-conditioning effect. You can also use warmed coconut oil or almond oil as hot-oil treatments to infuse and strengthen curly hair.
7. Apply essential oils
Anecdotally, there are some essential oils that make hair appear tamer. Some essential oils are more readily absorbed into your hair than chemical products. Coconut oil, argan oil, almond oil, and macadamia oil can all penetrate your hair follicles, sealing and repairing the cells inside.
Once you’ve used rollers, wrapping, a cold blow-dry or another technique to style your hair, apply your essential oil of choice. Warming the oil by rubbing it between your palms may make it easier to spread the oil through your hair evenly. Focus on the ends of your hair, and be careful not to apply more than a dime-sized amount. Not only does this add a sweet scent and a beautiful gloss to your hair, it will also weigh your hair down slightly, helping it to hold its style.
I guess you already understand how to straighten your human hair wigs without heat tools. Please practice more and grasp these tips quickly!

Hey this might be an odd ask but I saw your drawings of your festival outfits (gorgeous btw) and was wondering if you followed any tutorials on how to do those spiky buns? They're either made for super long hair or just don't look spiky I was just hoping you could help out a fellow spiky hair enthusiast. Enjoy the festival!
omg hi not odd at all it’s ok! I don’t really follow any tutorials bc as u said they’re all for long hair and my hair length is kinda like shoulder length atm ): but it’s so easy! all I do is brush my hair real tight tie a ponytail real tight aswell and use lots of hair gel so it stays “sleek”, i like to part it in the middle
then I use a claw clip and just twist my ponytail in some way I like like trying to make the “spikes” stand out and be visible, like when you’re trying to make a normal bun I guess??? just practice and see what way u can twist it idk if I’m making sense omg!! and yeah, I sometimes straighten the ends of my ponytail so it looks more spiky. Then when you’re done apply some hairspray while u hold ur spiky bun in place so it stays up! It will most definitely not stay as in place if you’re gonna be outside all day or moving a lot like partying or whatever but it still looks nice and spiky and y2k and funky and fresh and cute 😌 hope this helps!!

I just did something a little different than what I usually do. I just kinda sleeked it back into a bun. I usually don't and just pull it back without gel, but I actually took the time out today to make it sleek back with the gel like they do on the tutorials on youtube 😌🙂
I actually think I look pretty good today 😊
Oh! Sounds pretty!
My hair is just in a lazy low ponytail because it’s too long and I hate it. It’s past my shoulders and I can’t stand it. I want to cut it and have short hair again.
Lisa you are pretty! ❤️

Hey babe, this has been sitting in my giant google doc prompt ideas for weeks so... The batboys find evidence of Dick’s emo phase, and then they find Damian watching eyeliner tutorials and buying dark clothes and Dick just wants to die. Damian becomes emo, and Dick re-finds his love for eyeliner and leather jackets (ya better watch out Jay). [this idea is open to anyone]
WELL BABE.
You know Tim is going to be the one to bring out all the remaining pictures that the mullet was for real a thing. But then, there’s the shots of leather jackets and khol-smeared eyes under N’s domino.
That’s probably where Dami first saw the look. I mean, Tim could totally be pulling an attempt to make it easier to work with the current Robin, so he just shows up at the Manor with a shoe box stowed somewhere on his person.
“I have some evidence from a case I’m working. I need you to check it out.”
Since Drake isn’t so bad now that Dami is older, the tunic more worn from his own trials, he follows his Predecessor up to his room in the Manor and gapes at the first stack of 5x7s Tim shoves in his hands.
“I’ve never shown these to anyone. Ever. Dick would kill me if he knew they existed.”
As Tim probably expects, Dami feels the same way about the Discowing suit as all the former Robins did:
Horrified yet unable to look away from the trainwreck.
The mullet days have them sharing a laugh at how that ponytail did nothing for him, but when he changed it up for the more sleek look, he hit some kind of stride away from awful costume design.
Dami gets to the middle of the stack and the photos are better quality, closer, obviously during Tim’s Robin hey-day that he absolutely notices the darkness under Grayson’s eyes stay even when he’s out of the mask.
But of course, Dick’s six sense goes off that some family bonding is happening and he’s not there to hug everyone into submission! *GASP* Must find little brothers.
And the pictures spread all over Dami’s bed spread is all the damning evidence he was such an Emo vigilante at one time...
That’s probably where it starts for Dami. What do you think, babe?
