Can I have a scenario of Furuta Nimura finding out Tsuneyoshi Washuu, his father, killed his s/o?
Furuta pasted a smirk on his face. Inside, his thoughts raced around like a crazed rabbit.
His father won.
All their precautions and stolen kisses and the feeling that maybe this could last longer than his short life -
His father won anyway.
But his smirk fools no one; Furuta finds himself impaled by his father’s rinkaku kagune.
He’s never seen it before, he thinks in shock.
“Scum,” Tsuneyoshi sneers. “Stooping to sleep with ghouls.”
Behind Tsuneyoshi, he sees the other garden graduates. Hairu steps forward, as if to help him, but Hsaio holds her back. Arima looks ever-impassive, and the Squad Zero brats are crying like they actually care about Souta.
Good. He doesn’t need that airhead’s help. He can die now.
“You do all the time,” he croaks. Besides, [name] was more than a ghoul - they were his life - they loved him - he loved them - he wouldn’t rape his own children over and over - why was he the scum.
A quinque sword glides across his throat, even though Furuta is still impaled. Kaiko. “He’s lucky he’s so useful to CCG, Washuu.”
“I suppose so.” Tsuneyoshi removes his kagune, and Furuta falls to the floor, hacking up blood.
An ordinary man would die. But, thanks to the ghoul genes killing him, he will live another day, and hate himself.
Because it should be [name] alive.
Because [name] made him unafraid of death.
Their voice echoes in his head. “Why? Why do you all go along? Your sneaky rebellion isn’t going to save anyone who dies tomorrow.”
“You’re a fraud and a monster,” Furuta spits.
Tsuuneyoshi swirls back around.
“Not because you’re a ghoul. Because you rape your children and turned the rest of us into soldiers. That’s what they insisted.” Furuta pauses. “Well, Father, remember: I’m pretty strong too.”
He lunges for Kaiko’s sword. He might have died, but Hsaio’s koukaku shields him.
“You!”
“We’re on board. Besides, Hairu’s got to marry Ui,” said Hsaio with a shrug. Hairu has Kaiko on his back, and Arima, of all people, stands beside Furuta.
“Your days as bureau director,” says Arima calmly, “are over, Washuu Tsuneyoshi.”

The Last flower from the Garden
Summary: Yusa always thought they would be together no matter what.
Characters: Yusa
Words: 931words
Excerpt
He didn’t die, he didn’t die, it was a strange feeling they were a trio since birth, all coming from the most prominent lines in the sunlight garden Arima, Ihei, and Souza. They ate together, sleep together, fought together, but they didn’t die together. As an investigator, you need to get used to death and the thought of your own demise. As a child from the sunlit garden you have to be prepared to die young  there isn’t any hope for you. You either die by a ghoul or by your body failing you. Yet, Yusa was young he knew this was a fact but the naivety of youth made him think it was still years down the road. He never even thought of a situation where they would be seperated like this, they all completed each other and made up for the others flaws. They were the perfect unit so to speak. He and Rikai were were quiet ones, but Shio made up for it as he was loud and enthusiastic. Rikai was the most mature one and had a comforting presence that they all fed on, he was the one that had the most fighting training from the garden.
They were a set, he should have died with them if he was being honest with himself. That kagune was aiming for all three of them but he was the only one pulled away at the last second. He couldn’t tell you why it was him or who saved him, his head felt so heavy on his neck as if it was mocking the fact he still had one. Everything went quiet but he could feel the vibrations of Ui’s yelling as the action had broke up his and Hirako’s fight, he was now holding a furious Hirako back. But he could barely stay alert his focus on his friends heads on the floor watching Hajime pick them up tauntingly before walking away.
Everything happened so fast he barely got over his shock when the ground started to rumble signaling that start of Sasaki’s rampage on the ward above. He had to help with the effort to save him, giving him no time to mourn, the whole time his body felt unnaturally heavy. He felt like a machine following orders, moving on them even though he just wanted to collapse his body the most tired it has ever been. He didn’t have a chance to take a break until days after their death when Sasaki was found. It was only then that he was able to get away from everyone and mourn. Yusa had found a closet away from the hussle and bussle of everything that was filled with regular cleaning supplies that on one would be looking anytime soon. It was there that he finally started to cry, and it was anything but the quiet tears that fell for Arima Kishou. He felt the snot drop from his nose, his chest heave, and his throat felt like it was closing. He felt so alone losing the two people who knew him the best, who understood him and the existence he lived. A part of him wished in that moment that he joined them so he wouldn’t have to feel so helpless.
“Why am I so useless?” he wanted to scream.
The door opened suddenly startling Yusa as he furiously wiped the tears from his face with little success before turning to see who had disturbed him. He barely got to see who it was before he felt a hand pat his head awkwardly. Yusa knew in that moment that it was Hirako by how awkward the movements were and the lack of speaking.
“I’m sorry.” he felt himself stumble out his voice hiccuping as the tears started to fall again.
“ You have no reason to be.” Hirako told him calmly pulling his hand from the top of his head.
“I could have done something better. I could have made one different move and they wouldn’t have been in that situation. I should have fought better, and maybe they would be here right now.” he uncharacteristically rambled out.
“Maybe or you could have died too.” he told him plainly. “ It’s hard losing a partner, you always wonder if you did something different would there have been a better outcome.” he told him.
“ But, it will only haunt you, if you keep thinking about it. It would be better for you to just mourn and accept it.” Hirako told him in a way that most people would see as callous but it was just what he needed to hear. Yusa’s face scrunched up as he gave a tiny wail as he shoved his face into Hirako’s jacket to silence them.
“They were my best friends.” he cried into his jacket his voice shaking as he felt like he was gonna vomit.
“I know, best friends make it hurt the worse.” Hirako tried his best to comfort the boy by patting his back as he cried.
“ But, as long as you are alive you can fight for them.” Hirako told him, trying to give the boy something to hold onto, which seemed to work as the boy pulled away for a moment to look at him. The look the Hirako saw in that moment was the of determination in his blood shot eyes.
“ I will.” he told him the shakiness gone for a brief moment. “ I’m the only one left now.” he said in a way that made Hirako almost want to cry with him if he wasn’t so angry with himself

I have an angst idea for you! A female Washuu ghoul who is to be used as a “womb” (basically seen as a second rate Rize) has escaped the Garden, and Hirako and the Zero Kids are sent to kill her, giving her an estimated A+ rating. When they are winning the fight and are about to kill her, Shio breaks down crying because he remembered her taking care of him previously and just can’t kill her? (Washuu angst is great stuff btw)
Did someone say WASHUU ANGST?! :D
Their latest mission is Firefly. A ghoul rated A+, with a habit of preying on Johns in Tokyo’s Red Light district. Not the sort of mission for any teenagers, except those in Zero Squad.
Shio aims his quinque at the young ghoul who for some reason reminds him of Li-Ming.
She gasps and fires off sparks from her rinkaku, the sparks that earned her her nickname. Shio ducks, and Rikai cries out.
Yusa leaps forward and knocks off her mask.
The ghoul sprawls before Shio.
“Now, Shio!” demands Hirako.
But he is frozen. Beneath that black hair and those devastated eyes, he sees her.
Hsaio Li-Ming.
His friend, the full ghoul who kissed his forehead and assured him he was loved. The one who bribed a guard to sneak in children’s stories so she could read to him.
The one who cried every time Tsuneyoshi visited her and tried to mask her bruised lips with a smile.
The one who, when Furuta slapped her and demanded to know why she stayed, said she couldn’t leave her friends, as she smiled at Shio.
Shio’s hand shakes. Rikai inhales behind him, and Yusa pales upon recognizing her.
“You know her?” demands Hirako Take striding up to his frozen kids.
She’s not more than twenty, and very pretty. Hirako has met many ghouls like her, ghouls who use their innocent looks to destroy.
He ought to force his squad into the killing, to teach them. But, today, perhaps, he’ll extend mercy to them. He’ll kill her himself.
“Don’t!” screams Shio suddenly. He launches himself in front of her, and Rikai joins him. Yusa wavers but a moment before standing with his friends.
“Who is she?” Hirako asks.
“Our family,” cries Rikai.
Hirako lowers his quinque. “She’s a ghoul.”
“Well, she is! She is! Call Arima.” Shio’s face is soaked with tears. “He can tell you.”
Li-Ming looks stunned. They’ve broken decades of silence just now. She ought to - to kill herself to preserve the Washuus -
In front of her friends? She hesitates.
The handsome investigator aims his quinque at her. “You - will you wait here until Arima Kishou comes?”
She nods, wordless.
They used to play a game in the garden.
What’s the one thing you want in life? It can be anything.
Shio wanted toys, Yusa wanted approval, and Rikai wanted to feel like she mattered.
Li-Ming smiled and said she wanted to live.
...
and when Arima arrived, that is how Hirako Take discovered the Garden.

As I’m on my time of month having super bad cramps, here’s an idea: some ccg members of your choice are fighting an SS rated female ghoul, and when she pauses for breath, she gets stabbed brutally in the stomach. While on the floor, she starts laughing and healing, and laughs to them that she’s had period cramps worse than this(!)
As someone who currently relates to your situation, this is hilarious.
“Over there!” Ui pointed towards the SS-rated Lily, so named for the spider lilies that decorated her ornate mask.
She was surprisingly small, but powerful. A good lesson for the Squad Zero kids. So long as Ui, Hairu, and Hirako could keep them alive.
Hirako swiped around the corner, trapping the Lily’s escape.
She backflipped over a railing and soared down the stairs. Hairu and the kids followed without a second thought.
“Be careful!” Ui yelled.
At the end of the stairs, the Lily bent over and gasped slightly.
She barely had time to dodge Hairu’s swing, before falling into Yusa’s sword quinque.
“Ack,” she gasped, collapsing to the floor.
Hairu eyed her with suspicion. She’s calling bullshit. There’s no way an SS ghoul would go down that easily.
“Don’t take your quinques off her,” she orders.
“Kid, I’ve had period cramps worse than this,” laughs the Lily.
“What’s that?” Shio is confused.
“Does CCG teach you nothing, kid?” She moans as her stomach begins to heal.
“Not now!” Hairu knocks the kids out of the way as the Lily uses her ukaku to soar to a window far above them.
“Gotta thank you. You’ve given my muscles something else to think about besides their lack of pregnancy,” mocks the ghoul before vanishing.
“Huh?” Ui and Hirako finally reach them.
Despite the ghoul’s apparent escape, Hairu looks amused. Rikai looks embarrassed, and Shio and Yusa just look confused.
“She escaped?”
“We have bigger problems,” Hairu said.
“Is this something about puberty?” Shio looks to the adults.
Ui squeaks as Hairu nods.
“What did she say?” Hirako asks, already planning on forcing Arima to answer it later.

Everyone's reactions to watching 'The Handmaid's Tale'. I am watching season 2 and I am feeling like i'm watching 'Sunlit Garden: the series'
Furuta Nimura - secretly writes a ‘better’ version, in which Serena Joy finally leaves and murders the Commander.
Rize Kamishiro - loves all the theories and analysis. Refuses to say why she loves it so much. Probably runs a blog on it.
Arima Kishou - could not get past the first episode due to guilt.
Arima Yusa - Was not allowed to watch. Snuck it and has spent the next three days pondering.
Ihei Hairu - tries desperately to convince herself it isn’t like the garden at all.
Ihei Shio - Snuck it, cried straight through.
Souza Rikai - Became even more determined to fight after sneaking the episodes.
Hsaio Ching-Li - Hopes all the women rise up and revolt. Just like she wanted the Handmaids to unite and defend Janine, she will unite to defend her Sunlit Garden sisters and brothers.
Washuu Yoshitoki - Riddled with agony as he watches, feels conflicted. He secretly hopes Marude watches it so they can discuss.
Washuu Matsuri - relates far too much to Ofglen’s predicament.
Washuu Iyo - Ofglen is also her favorite. She and Matsuri write fanfiction of her.
Washuu Tsuneyoshi - dismisses it as feminist propaganda.

since my rare pair has arrived... take introducing irimi to his 0 squad children
- Shio is super excited to meet the infamous leader of the Black Dobers. He also asks her two dozen questions about caring for a puppy in a not-at-all-obvious hint to Take. Lucky for him, Irimi takes his side.
- Rikai is more shy, but Irimi wins her over by being very understanding. They decide that as girls, they must stick together in this new family.
- Irimi is kind enough not to tease Yusa about his famous relative, which is really the only thing Yusa needed to approve of her. They quickly bond, especially since Yusa also wants a puppy.
- Take: wait we’re in a war here this is not puppy time.
- Irimi: but it’s dating time? Psssh.

Ui is afraid of spiders!
“Oh my god, get it away from me!” Ui bursts out, skittering behind Hairu.
“Huh?” She looks up in puzzlement. “Oh!”
Hairu laughs at the spider gracefully descending from the ceiling. “I think it’s lovely.”
UI shakes his head. “One of you brave ghoul investigators, kill it.”
“Nah,” says Hirako, leaning back in his chair. “Spiders don’t bother me.”
“Are you crazy?” Ui hisses.
“I’m a child and you’re the adult,” Shio protests.
“I like it,” says Yusa.
“Ui, save us,” says Rikai.
Hairu rolls her eyes. “How about I capture it and take it outside?”
It’s weird, she thinks, as she coaxes the creature onto a paper towel. She’s showing more mercy to an arachnid than a ghoul.
She waves the captive spider before Ui, who blanches.
“Can we keep him?” Yusa asks.
“NO.” Ui shivers.
Would he shiver at me? Hairu wonders.
She turns to leave, onto to run into Arima. “Say hello to our spy, Arima!”
Arima scrambles back. “Get - it - away!”
Hirako chortles. “We’ve found Arima Kishou’s secret kryptonite!”

Crack head cannon: cochela doesn’t give prisoners haircuts, so when sasaki was released his hair was quite long and at first glance he could easily pass as a woman. During the tour around the ccg squad zero kids don’t help and further solidify to passerby’s that the new squad member is a girl much to Haises annoyance. Next day he comes in with a haircut. Everyone was left to believe the lady quit after her first day and tease Arima for years. Until Arima tells the story at Haises x mas party.
lollololololololllllllllllllllll
“Okay, okay, you think Hajime’s a brat, but do you know what the Squad Zero kids did?” demands Ui. His arm is almost, but not quite, around Hairu’s shoulders. Propriety. Yeah, that’s it.
“Do tell,” says Akira, clutching her seventh glass of wine.
“Please don’t,” says Sasaki.
“Arima, tell it.” Saiko winks. She’s heard Arima is a legendary storyteller, too.
Arima winces. “Well…”
“Come on, out with it.” Hairu giggles. Rikai, Yusa, and Shio bury their heads in their hands.
“So.” Arima sits down. “One long day, our Squad was gifted with a new investigator. Their hair was white and flowed to their shoulders. Shiny as a shampoo commercial.”
Sasaki’s face is now crimson.
“And then, our darling prodigies decided to introduce everyone to ‘the new woman in our squad.’”
“I was excited to have someone think we had three females,” Rikai insists.
“Was I not enough?” Hairu counters.
“Take me,” says Saiko.
“This new woman vanished the next day, and coincidentally, we replaced them wth Sasaki Haise.” Arima sips his tea. “Or so the Bureau Legend goes.”
Urie rolls his eyes. A grin spreads over Shirazu’s face.
“You mean that story isn’t true?” Mutsuki asks.
“Ask the lady.” Arima points to Sasaki. “Amazing what the power of a haircut can do.”
“You!” Akira doubles over laughing.
“You kids were such a handful!” Ui shakes his head at the three junior investigators.
“Don’t ruin our urban legend,” Shio begs. “Keep it quiet.”
“We are powerful masters of myth,” Yusa intones.
“Madam Sasaki, may I have this dance?” Shirazu sticks out his hand.
“Sure.” Sasaki grabs Shirazu and spins him in a circle as everyone laughs.

Do you think that maybe when Ui was younger he used to watch He-Man? That maybe that inspired him to be all into the ‘justice’ thing? As well as the hair style!
OMG
“Ui, he looks like you!” Shio points towards the screen. He quivers with excitement.
“Uh, how?” Ui blushes. He-Man. His favorite hero. Prince Adam was his favorite character growing up. He never quit. He always fought for justice.
“You have the same hair,” Rikai says, smoothing her own bob.
“But he’s blonde,” Shio says.
“Can we be your Masters of the Universe?” Yusa asks.
Ui chokes. “I…”
“Where’s your Power Sword?” Shio demands.
“It’s only half,” Ui retorts, then catches himself. Shoot.
“So you do know He-Man!” Yusa cackles.
“Stop!” Ui gulps.
“Does that make Hairu Skeletor? Since they’re partners, she can be the second half of the sword.” Shio rubs his hands together.
“She would be Teela!” Ui insists. He’s already deep in this hell. might as well descend more.
“Not Adora? I could see her as Adora,” Rikai muses.
“No!” Ui is appalled. Then Hairu would be his sister…and she definitely isn’t. Even in fictional games.
“What’s going on?” Hairu and Hirako race up to see Ui sputtering nonsense and the kids giggling.
“He’s reverted back to his Prince Adam state,” Shio says mysteriously.
Hairu frowns, not understanding, but Hirako collapses to the floor in laughter, as tears stream down his face.

Ui kneels in the office for whatever reason and Hairu thinks he's proposing, while everyone is present
Yasssss.
Ui curses silently as his pen drops to the floor of their meeting room. How will he be able to take notes without it?
He drops to his knees before Hairu, who is distracted by her conversation with Hirako.
Hirako raises his eyebrows to cut Hairu off. She spins around and gasps. “Koori!”
He opens his mouth in confusion. “Huh?”
“Say yes!” Shio cheers.
“Yes, of course, yes.” Hairu’s face is as pink as her hair.
“Wait, what?” Ui’s mouth drops. “You all think - wait - Hairu - I’m not actually - I’m grabbing a pen.” He holds it up.
“Oh.” Her shoulders slump. Now her face is cherry red. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be.” Ui stands and leans in close. “I’d make it far more romantic than in a morning meeting.”
Hairu giggles.
“Wait, so you’re not engaged? Come on,” Yusa complains. “How long are you gonna keep us waiting?”
Ariam strides in. “We’re running on time, Yusa.”
“No, we’re talking about Ui and Hairu not being engaged,” Rikai says.
Arima frowns. “Come again?”
“You really haven’t noticed?” Hirako exclaims.
As the room descends into bickering chaos, Hairu leans over to Ui and plants a peck on his cheek. “Well, at least now you already know my answer.”

Crack head cannon (which is really just a contraction of a previous crack head cannon): Ui Koori doesn’t help with the rumors surrounding the Quinx mentor, and to anyone that askes, he’ll tell them it’s cruella deville’s psychotic cousin
It begins with an un-caffeinated Ui, out of cigarettes and fresh out of bed.
“Ui, who is Sasaki?” asks Yusa.
“Cruella DeVille’s psychotic cousin,” Ui grumbles.
Yusa’s eyes widen, and he races off. Ui slides into his seat, not thinking much of their exchange.
An hour later, Shio appears. “Ui sir, who is Sasaki?”
“The Quinx Leader,” Ui says simply.
Shio pouts. “Why are you boring with me? You told Yusa something funny!”
“I did?” Ui thinks for a second. “Hmm…okay, Sasaki is Maleficent’s brother. Complete with the dragon.”
Shio claps his hands in approval.
Rikai is only five minutes behind Shio. “Who is Sasaki?”
“The personification of decaf coffee and e-cigarettes,” Ui replies, staring straight into her eyes.
Finally, he can get back to work.
“Kooriiiiiii,” sings a voice. Hairu waltzes in, and Ui brightens immediately. “I have something for you.”
“Yes?”
Hairu holds out a sugar cube.
Ui takes it eagerly, but gags after it settles on his tongue. “Hairu!”
“It’s a salt cube! Just like you,” Hairu cheers.
“You heard what I was saying about Sasaki, didn’t you?” Ui complains, spitting out the cube.
“Yup.” Hairu softens. “Be nice, okay, Salt-senpai?” She offers him two more cubes. “I promise these are real sugar this time.”

How to you think Tsukiyama has managed to teach Naki how babies are made?
“Today, Naki,” Tsukiyama pauses dramatically, “is the day we learn the riddle to the ancient mystery.”
“Misery?” Naki’s eyes widen.
“How babies are made!” Tsukiyama cheers.
Ayato is just close enough to overhear. “Walk faster, Hinami.”
“Can we listen?” Ihei Shio, Souza Rikai, and Arima Yusa slip into the room.
“Of course. Everyone must know at some point.” Shuu begins drawing on the chalkboard. “This is a male’s reproductive system.”
Riki’s face is bright red, but Naki chatters eagerly. “You drew it so big.”
“I have my inspirations.” Tsukiyama winks, and the children giggle.
“Now for the female flower.” Tsukiyama resumes drawing. “And what you’ll notice is that the male has a stem to insert into the flower…”
When he finishes a florid description of intercourse - complete with chalkboard art - everyone stares blankly at him.
“Any questions?”
Yusa waves his hand. His face is green. “Is this where Touka’s baby came from?”
“Kaneki would never! He and Touka wouldn’t touch - like that - ” Naki’s face turns red.
“Why not? It’s beautiful!” Tsukiyama winks. “You’re telling me you never wanted to touch Miza like that?”
Naki squeaks.
The door flies open, and Kaneki Ken, Kusakari Miza, Hirako Take, and Nishiki Nishio stare at a chalkboard peppered with both scientific drawings and possibly sketched porn.
Nishiki doubles over laughing, Kaneki nearly faints, Hirako cries, and Miza storms over to pick up Naki.
“Do you want to make a baby?” He smiles up at her.

Please. A scenario in which Arima bursts out laughing that no one is allowed to talk about for fear of First Rate Hunk™
First Rate Hunk, eh? ;)
Arima walks into his office with a sigh. The lights are dimmer these days, and he can barely see out of his right eye.
He’s very tired and allows himself to slump over at his desk.
“Knock, knock.” Hirako, Ui, and Hairu hurry in. “Arima, we have all this paperwork and -”
“HELL ALMIGHTY.” Hairu swears and points to Arima’s cabinets, the cabinets he hasn’t really been able to see because they’re on his right.
“Oh, hello.” Shio waves. He’s standing atop Yusa, who stands atop Rikai, who strains on her hands and knees.
His hands are in Arima’s candy drawer.
“Whoa!” Yusa wobbles, and RIkai lets them all fall.
Arima bursts out laughing.
“Did you just freeze when he came in?” Hirako cries.
“How did you not notice?” Ui exclaims.
“Shio, Yusa, Rikai.” Arima wipes his eyes.
“You told us to practice stealth,” Yusa says.
“That I did.” Arima shakes his head in amusement. “If any of you mention this, I swear you’ll discover the true meaning of IXA.”
“Not even to Sasaki?” Shio whines. “Because I just texted him while we were talking.

Part 3 of the dreams) Hajime and the Squad zero kids have the same dreams as the others, only back to back. This prompts them to bond further with Kaneki, for Hajime to think things through and for Kaneki to gain four new members to his family.
“No, stop, Arima! Arima!” wails Shio.
“Shio, Shio, Shio!” Hirako shakes the child awake. “What happened?”
“Arima - was holding me down - and driving IXA through my eye.” Shio sobs.
“You’re okay. We’ve got you. And Arima loved you.” Yusa hugs his friend, and Rikai nods solemnly.
They drift back to sleep, but this time it’s Yusa sobbing awake. “Mom, stop - I won’t do it again, I promise!”
“Yusa?” Rikai tiptoes closer. “Yusa, you don’t know your mother.”
“Well, I did, and she was hitting me.” Yusa wipes his eyes.
Shio slips under the covers with him. “Here, let’s snuggle. Rikai, join us.”
“I’m fine.” Rikai smiles uncertainly before falling asleep.
“My TOES!” Rikai bolts upright with a shriek. “I was - in a chair - and Jason was chopping off my toes. They kept regrowing, and he kept cutting them off!”
Shio drags her into bed with he and Yusa. “I wonder why we’re all having nightmares.”
“Have you looked at our life?” Yusa asks.
They’re awakened not twenty minutes later by a scream from the cell a few blocks down.
“CENTIPEDES IN MY EARS!”
Hirako, Yusa, Shio, and Rikai bolt for Hajime’s cell. The child is flailing about, frothing at the mouth. He lets out bloodcurdling scream after bloodcurdling scream.
“Hajime!” Shio launches himself into the cell before Hirako can stop him.
“AHHHHHHHHH!”
“Wake up!” Rikai spits into Hajime’s face.
“Pah!” The brat awakens. Sweat beads adorn his forehead. “Huh?”
“Please tell me that’s not how you woke me up,” Yusa says. She smirks in response.
“Did you have the dreams? The torture dreams?” Shio asks.
“I was Kaneki Ken, and Jason putting - centipedes in my ears.” Hajime shakes. He fucking hates bugs.
“I was Kaneki in my nightmare, too,” says Yusa.
“Jason kept cutting off my toes,” says Rikai quietly. “Was the room in a mall, with a vaulted ceiling?”
Hajime nods.
“Did you smell flowers when you dreamt, Shio?” asks Yusa.
“Yeah.” Shio turns to Hirako. “What’s happening to us?”
“You’re having the Kaneki dream, monsieur!” Tsukiyama Shuu waltzes in before Hirako can answer. “We’ve all experienced it at one point or another.”
“Did those - did that really happen to him?” Shio touches his eye unconsciously.
“Indeed,” Tsukiyama says grimly.
Shio begins to cry. “Why? Why would Arima do that?”
“Why would anyone put bugs in someone’s ears?” howls Hajime.
“Where is Kaneki?” Yusa demands.
The king peers around the corner, flanked by Touka and Ayato and - Mutsuki?
“Thought you were at CCG!” Hajime shrieks.
“Thought you said you wouldn’t get caught,” Mutsuki cries back.
“Kingggggggggggg.” Shio flies into Kaneki’s arms, and Yusa and Rikai follow.
Kaneki gingerly pats their heads.
“Don’t be embarrassed. It wasn’t your fault,” says Yusa.
Mutsuki notices Hajime watching them enviously. He inches into the cell and loosens the chains just enough to pull Hajime into the love circle.
Hirako frowns, but accepts the kid.
“I’m sorry that happened. Why do you still like ghouls?” Hajime demands.
Kaneki touches Hajime’s chin. “That’s a long story.”
“I’ve got no where else to be, considering my captain is apparently here now.”

Furuta is captured by Goat. Angst.
“Eat up, little baby!” Furuta remembers spreading his arms wide as death soared for him.
So how is he waking up - not in nothingness or hell, but in a cell?
“Bonjour, Souta. Remember me?”
Furuta sits straight up. Oh, his circulation to his arms and legs has been cut off by chains that bind him to a wall.
Tsukiyama Shuu lounges across the cell.
“Are you my guard?” Furuta bares his teeth.“For now. That was a dirty trick. I lost my student and two little admirers, you know.” Tsukiyama holds up a card.
To Mr. Tsukiyama,
you’re so cute!
Love,
your secret admirers.
Tsukiyama fights back tears. Shio and Rikai and Yusa were no doubt behind that. And now two are gone, along with Naki.
And it hurts.
“Where’s your king? Or should I say kings?” Furuta snickers.
“Resting.” Tsukiyama chuckles. “See, my dear, you miscalculated. Our king fails in many respects, but he loves us. His rampage stopped at stopping CCG. My, my, we had quite a time deciding whether to eat you all or not. In the end, we settled for keeping you all alive.” He displays his kakugans. “Suitable vengeance, isn’t it? Living with yourself.”
“Why?” Fury begins to bubble in Furuta. He isn’t going to waste away here from accelerated aging. He’s going to be executed by a vengeful Kaneki, who will destroy CCG and everyone who partook in this godforsaken war. “Get me Kaneki! Get me him! Let him kill me! I know he wants to - fuck you!”
“Nah.” Tsukiyama nods. “This was definitely the right choice.”
“Kill me!” screams Furuta. “Kill me! Please! Ha, ha - what if I told you I had your Rose’s body in a freezer? Would you kill me then?”
Tsukiyama’s face remains cold. “Karren deserves better than me killing you.”
“No, please!” Furuta shrieks.
“He’s right.” Ui’s voice comes from next door. “We deserve this.”
“I deserve to die!” Furuta bellows.
“Just a question, ever tried deserving to live? Because I think that’s what I deserved.” Hajime calls out from across the hall.
Oh great. The twerp lived. Furuta flops over.
“Someone wants to talk to you.” Tsukiyama opens the door to let in Arima Yusa.
 “Lonely?” Furuta asks.
Yusa’s eyes are bloodshot. “You know, you used to be Shio’s hero. What you did for Rize gave him hope long before we knew Arima had a plan.”
Furuta glowers.
“I’m going to forgive you,” Yusa croaks. “Because that’s what Shio would do. And I bet it’s what Kaneki does, too.”
Furuta is terrified. “I’ve become unforgivable.”
“Not to me. Maybe I’m a dumb child, but I have to be, right?” Yusa’s voice cracks, and Furuta stares at him.
“Souta - slap - why did you let her go?”
Souta shrugged. “Because I’m a dumb child. I have to be, right?”
