Did you have anything that inspired your design for Phoenix!Jack? I love the wings all over around his head, and he looks so badass and eldritch in your design!

Heyo! Thank you for giving me the first ask of the year!

Here you can see the 3 main inspirations for Phoenix!Jack! I tried to follow a rule I heard once about mixing things people already know (ex the basic idea of a phoenix) and then add depth with similar things that might not be as related.

Since the Phoenix in my AU has a lot of weight, I mixed it with other concepts that relate to it, like the biblically accurate angels, that are messed up looking creatures (And I added piercings to the wings because Jack has to show his unhappiness about the whole ordeal somehow) The last part, of the corrupted Sun God, is more related to personality. It's more like a trope rather than a specific source of inspiration, but given that Jack is a soft gremlin it helps me navigate what changes he could experience personality-wise.

Mmmmh I never really have art trade “opened” persay :0 I mostly only art trade with friends and mutuals, the only time I ever “art trade” persay is art fight so i guess it’s kinda open??? Just for the period of art fight tho! After that i only do commissions haha!
