You loved spending time outside in the forests of Pandora, soaking in everything you saw. You spent more time out of the lab than in it most days.

Spider even joined you at times, trailing behind you like a lost puppy. You probably knew the forest better than the boy, even with his frequent associations with the Sully children. You practically never left the beautiful scenery and spent too many hours exploring every little thing you could. So, he found it best to follow your lead whenever he tagged along on your journeys.

Norm liked to say that you were a lot like Grace Augustine in some ways. Always wanting to analyze and study every single plant you came into contact with. Always too caught up in admiring the beauty and wonder that Pandora provided. Of course you never met the woman but you saw plenty of her video recordings with Kiri and on your alone time. You could say that the two of you had similarities but none that were too significant.

You knew almost every inch of forestry on the moon-planet. Almost.

There was this one place that Spider had stumbled upon many years ago after running around with Lo’ak. It was his little hideout spot whenever he needed time to himself or wanted a break from things. He didn’t think about sharing it with anyone else until you mentioned how bored you were one night, complaining about how you practically seen every inch of the forest and that there was nothing else to see. You loved everything you saw on Pandora but missed the first time admiration one held whenever they saw something they had never seen before.

Spider wasn’t exactly sure if you had already scoped out his little getaway spot but nonetheless, he still wanted to share it with you.

“I don’t think you’ve been to this place though,” Spider speaks up one day, pulling your attention away from whatever you were studying underneath the microscope.

The teen also often offered his company to you whenever you were in the lab doing whatever scientists did. He liked spending time with you, even if you were too caught up in doing sciencey stuff that he had absolutely no clue about.

“What do you mean?” You asked, eyebrows furrowed together in confusion.

A shit eating grin stretched itself onto Spider’s lips. Good, he thought, she doesn’t know what I’m talking about.

“You said that you’ve seen every inch of the forest,” he replied, twirling a pipette in between his calloused fingers, “but, I’m sure you haven’t seen my hideout.”.

Curiosity sparkled in your eyes, back straightening in attention.

“What does it look like?” You asked, genuinely excited about the secret place Spider had kept from you for whoever knows how long.

Spider had you right where he wanted you. Like a prey in his web. There was no way that he was going to give you any details of what it looked like. Where’s the fun in that? He wanted to see the pure, genuine look of amazement on your face when you finally saw the place he was talking about.

“Nuh uh,” Spider tsked, poking your cheek with the pipette, “I am not falling for that. You’ll just have to wait and see tomorrow,” he finished, face inching closer to yours.

Your eyes rolled in annoyance, not pleased with Spider's answer. You at least wanted to know where the spot was or what some of its features looked like, it would help that anxious-excitement feeling that always crawled its way into your stomach whenever you discovered something new.

“Wherever you’re taking me better not be somewhere where I have to climb,” you retorted, slightly pushing back his head with your hand, him snorting in response.

“It’s not that bad. Besides,” he replies, “I can always carry you up there.”.

Spider was ridiculously strong for a human boy his age. The first time you realized it, your stomach twisted in knots. The two of you were play fighting in your early teens when the male managed to pin you down with just one arm, the other slithering in between your bodies as he tickled your stomach. It was in that brief moment that you realized how different and quickly Spider was changing, thanks to puberty.

Just the thought of Spider carrying you up to wherever he had in mind without even breaking a sweat made butterflies erupt in your stomach. You began to wonder how his toned arms would feel around your body or how his tense back would feel against your front as it flexed due to his climbing. (Your mouth began to water a little at the thought. Oh how you wished he would just pull you into his embrace and hold you so you could feel the flexing of his muscles as he did so.)

You quickly scoffed the thought away, shaking your head at the dirty blondes' response. He very obviously took pride in his strength and the fact that he could most definitely carry you anywhere without much difficulty.

“Sure you could, Spider,” you added, your eyes squinting a little at the boy in front of you, unplugging and turning off the microscope you were using.

Spider smirked at your response, tossing the pipette to the side as he saw that you were getting ready to clean up, signaling that you were done for the day and we’re going to head off to bed.

“Night, beautiful,” Spider whispered, ruffling your hair a bit before he turned and left the lab you were occupying.

“G’night,” you replied, pink dusting your cheeks in reaction to the nickname he gave you early on into your friendship.

He always called you that. Max had explained to him what the word meant when he overheard Jake call Neytiri that when he was only a child, wondering what it meant. Max told him that he should only ever mean it whenever he called someone it. So he did. You were the only one he called beautiful and probably would be the only one he ever called that and truly meant it.

“Tomorrow, three hours before eclipse,” Spider quickly added, heading peaking through the door of the lab, a smile on his face as he voiced the time he planned on taking you out.

You only hummed out in acknowledgment, shooing him away as you focused on your task of cleaning up your area of the lab.

You really couldn’t wait for tomorrow.

“Hurry up, you’re going to make us late,” Spider whined out, sprawled out on your freshly made bed, a ball of yarn in his hands as he tossed it up and down towards the ceiling.

You rolled your eyes at the boy, annoyed at his words. It wasn’t like there was someone else waiting for you at the spot he wanted to take you to.

“We are fine, Spider,” you scoffed out, finishing tying up your shoelaces together besides the teens head as your body was in a seated position. Your hand briefly reached out towards Spider’s knotted locs, messing with them a little before he turned his head to teasingly nip at you, teeth not making contact with your skin. You squealed in response, hurriedly pulling back your hand in order to avoid the boy's sharp teeth.

Spider barked out a laugh at your response, tossing the ball of yarn to the side, softly landing on the floor with a dull thud. Another thing he loved, messing with you. He took great joy in doing it and seeing your reaction.

“Yeah well, the faster you finish getting ready, the faster we’ll be at my spot,” he retorted, pushing himself up to a sitting position, a bored look on his face as he looked at you.

Spider had only been in your room for around fifteen minutes, barging in when you just finished braiding your hair yelling about how long you were taking and how by the time you were done, it’d be sunrise already. He was all ready to go and had been waiting for you for almost thirty minutes before coming into your room unannounced. He usually did, which caused you to throw whatever was closest to you at him, demanding him to get out. You got used to it over the years but still, you needed privacy and sometimes, you felt like you rarely had that around Spider due to his spontaneous barging into your room. You gained the ability to change out of and into your clothes incredibly fast, almost always narrowly missing flashing Spider.

“Okay, okay, I’m all ready,” you responded, hands going up in surrender as you stood up from your spot on the bed, dusting off the back of your thighs and the front of your shorts.

Spider groaned out in relief, hopping off the bed and grabbing your packed bag that was placed by the doorframe, throwing it over his shoulder before grabbing your hand and rushing you out in excitement.

“You’re gonna love it, I swear!”.

The both of you had arrived and climbed up to the place Spider had wanted to take you to in an hour and a half. The sun was just at eclipse when you arrived. Spider didn’t hesitate to crouch down a little so you could jump onto his back, legs and arms tightly around his neck and waist before he began the ascent up.

“We’re here,” Spider whispered, slightly out of breath from the exercise. He tapped your thigh twice, signaling that it was safe for you to let go.

The first thing you saw were vines. Lots of them. It covered almost every inch of solid rock, clinging across the surface until your eyes landed on a small opening, the vines dangling over it as the twine and its leaves cloaked the opening. No wonder you never knew of this place. Regardless of it being too high up for you alone to climb, it was very well hidden by the green vines.

It seemed like it was a cave, from what you could see. Peeking past some of the small openings in between the vines, you couldn’t see much light through the gaps. It seemed to be pretty dark and the only light that was getting through was the sunlight that managed to squeeze between the vines.

“You excited?” Spider asked, anxiety settling itself in his stomach. He wanted you to like his secret spot. It was special to him. He didn’t even tell Lo’ak about it and he tells the Na’vi boy practically everything.

“Very,” you replied back, eyes still glued on the intricate weaving of the vines. You tried to imagine what was behind the plant's structure, excitement setting in.

You liked finding new things but this felt different. More personal. Spider told his loved ones almost everything, so you were genuinely surprised when he brought up the fact that he had a secret hideout. And knowing that you were probably the only other person to see and know about this place made it even more special and personal.

“C’mon,” Spider whispered, taking your hand in his as he gently pulled you inside, pushing the vines to the side to make room for the both of you to get through.

It was dark at first, the numerous vines making a dull thud sound as they fell back into place once Spider let them go. But then, small blue dots of light appeared, scattered across the walls and ceiling of the cave, lighting up the space in its dim light. The longer you two walked, the more brighter it seemed to get. The biolomenscient dots got dimmer and dimmer the further you and Spider went, the warm glow of the sunset replacing it.

Another opening made its way into your line of sight, giving you the perfect view of the eclipse and more.

“Holy shit,” you whispered out, hand still grasping Spiders.

The sight before you was absolutely breathtaking. Ikran flew across the setting sun, shrieking in delight as they dipped and dived. The floating mountains were scattered across the sky, thick and large vines connecting them to each other so they didn't drift too far from another. The vibrant colors the setting sun emitted settled across the horizon and danced across the tops of the trees beneath the cliff you and Spider were currently standing on.

Spider smiled at your response, warmth spreading across his body as he came to the conclusion that you were enjoying the sight before you. He felt nervous before, not wanting you to not like where he was taking you. But now, he felt so happy. Happy that you were awestruck and couldn’t tear your eyes off of everything in front of you.

“Like it?” He asked, hand squeezing yours to catch your attention.

“Like it?” You replied, eyes still darting across the beautiful scenery in front of you, “I love it! How come you didn’t take me here earlier?” You pouted at the end.

The boy only chuckled in response. To be honest, he considered this place to be his. Like a little secret. He wasn’t planning on sharing it with anyone. But the more he thought about it and visited the small cave slash cliff hideout, the more he wondered what it’d be like to share this place with you. He was over the moon when you agreed to tag along last night. This was no longer going to be just his spot but the both of yours.

Spider slightly tugged on your hand, guiding you to follow his actions in sitting down, legs dangling over the cliffs edge.

“It’s so beautiful,” you commented, settling yourself next to Spider, hands still intertwined.

The human boy hummed in response, eyes never leaving the side of your face. The setting suns colorful rays reflected off the glass of your mask, highlighting your bright eyes as you continued to gawk at the gorgeous sight in front of you.

To Spider, your beauty could never compare to what was in front of him. He had seen this kind of sunset millions of times before but he always found himself thinking of you whenever he gazed at the eclipse and the colorful horizon. You were truly one of a kind. He always felt special whenever you graced him with your presence. His eyes never left your face whenever the two of you hung out, oftentimes running into things on accident which made me even more flustered once your laugh reached his ears. If he were in a Na’vi body, his tail would be swaying furiously back and forth like a dog excited to see their owner whenever his eyes settled on your figure. You always had a special place in his heart. Which makes this moment even more special.

“Hmm, just like you, beautiful,” he whispered back, nudging your shoulder with his.

A wide toothed smile made its way across your lips, a giggle escaping them as you shook your head at the boy. “Cheesy,” you replied, eyes finally tearing away from the sunset and settling on Spider.

Your breath hitched in your throat when you realized how close the two of you were. Your shoulders were touching and your clasped hands were in Spider's lap, his thumb rubbing the back of your hand. If it weren’t for the masks you had to wear, you most likely would be able to feel each other's breath. Just the thought gave you slight goosebumps.

“Sappy,” Spider agreed, laughing in response to your previous statement. He tended to be overly romantic whenever around you. Albeit he never outwardly voiced his thoughts, he still thought them. You only got a glimpse or two of that side of him, it only being during whenever the two of you were joking around or he was trying to bring your spirits up on a particularly hard day. It never failed to make you feel better or laugh in response.

Your eyes were stuck on Spider's face, glancing from his eyes, to his nose down to his lips, and then back up to his eyes. He was probably the prettiest human boy you’d ever seen, and the only one you’d seen.

“Want to know how I stumbled across this place?” He asked, cheeks reddening at your intense stare.

“Please,” you responded, shifting a bit to face more towards the boy, hands still tightly interlocked.

Spider brightly smiled before starting, glad to be finally sharing this, his place with you.

You had stayed out way past curfew, too caught up in the beauty of Pandora to realize just how late you and Spider stayed out.

He had you put yourself on his back again on the way down, your hands returning to grip his shoulders as your legs tightly wrapped around his waist. You found yourself thinking about his muscles and his strength again, making yourself blush at every thought. The fact that you were so tightly pressed up against him and could feel his back muscles twitch and flex as he climbed down didn’t help, at all.

But he too was blushing. There have only been a handful of times where the both of you were in a position like this, so close together. Most of them were when you were children and still needed the comfort of someone else to sleep, Norm often finding the two of you entangled together as you softly snored away in your deep slumber. The other time being when you had a tickle fight and he pinned both of your hands above your head and tortured you with his swift fingers against the sensitive skin of your stomach. Spider almost kissed you that day, if it weren’t for Max’s interruption, telling Spider that Lo’ak was there for him. And the other time being now. It had been so long since he had you this close. Of course you two hugged and had sleepovers whenever you were bored, but even then, you never had your body that close to his and vice versa. Spider could feel the beat of your rapid heart against his back, smirking at how fast it was pumping.

It was nice to have you this close to his body. Especially in this circumstance. He felt like he was protecting you, in a way at least. Spider knew that you didn’t have the type of training he did regarding exploring the expanse of Pandora’s forests. You mostly explored on your own and kept to the forest floor whereas Spider leapt from tree to tree with Lo’ak and climbed whatever he could. And regarding this fact, he knew that you wouldn’t be able to pull yourself up to climb all the way to where he wanted to take you as well as back down. So this was the least he could do. Have you cling to his back as he descended back down to the mossy ground.

The minute your feet touched the floor, you took off sprinting, shouting at Spider to race you back to the lab. Poor boy barely had any time to process it, standing there in shock for a few seconds before quickly following after you, catching up to your figure within minutes.

The boy beat you to the lab even with your head start.

“No fair!” You whined out, huffing and puffing from your sprinting. Damn, you thought to yourself, and to think Spider does this everyday.

“Hmm, sucks to suck I guess,” Spider teased, patting your head as you stood there with your hands on your knees trying to catch your breath. Your mask began to fog up from your ragged breathing.

You playfully slapped Spider’s hand away as you both walked up the stairs to the lab, the boy holding the door open for you as you walked through.

Once the door shut, a hissing sound reached your ears, signaling that the filter was forcing out the Pandora air and replacing it with the air you and the other humans needed to breathe. When the small light above the second door turned green, you quickly discarded your mask and pushed through the secondary door.

“That was so much fun!” You exclaimed, wide smile on your lips as you turned back towards Spider, watching him place both of your masks back onto the small rack they usually reside on.

Warmth spread throughout Spider’s chest at your exclamation, proud that he was able to make you this happy from simply sharing his hideout with you. “I’m glad you had fun,” he replied, a gummy smile spreading onto his lips.

“Thank you so much for taking me! I really enjoyed tonight,” you continued, same smile still plastered on your face.

You felt grateful that Spider wanted to share a place he had found and kept to himself for a while with you. It made you feel special. Really special. You wanted to do something for him that showed your gratefulness. But your mind kept drawing blanks the more you thought about it. It had to be a grand gesture that showed him just how much you appreciated tonight as well as him in general.

Silence settled itself between the two of you, it resting comfortably in the air. Seconds had passed from the last time you spoke, eyes darting around Spider’s painted striped skin, the paint fading from the days excursions. As your eyes settled back onto his face, you realized that he was staring at your lips.

A lightbulb went off in your head. Yes, a kiss would work.

“I am very grateful that you decided to share your hideout with me. I feel honored,” you began, taking a step closer to the boy in front of you, “Is there anything I could do to show my appreciation?”.

Spider gulped at your question, one thing coming to mind. But, the boy only shook his head and shrugged. “It’s alright. I’m just happy to have spent tonight with you,” he replied.

Sappy motherfucker, you laughed to yourself, feeling yourself melt at how sweet Spider was being. You knew that he’d never force you to do anything that you didn’t want to do. Another thing that you loved about him. (Right after his face and muscles, of course.)

You hummed in response, inching closer as you did so. You could practically hear how fast Spider’s heart was beating against his chest, making you slightly smile at how you might be the cause of it.

“I think I have something in mind,” you trailed, straining your neck a bit to look up at the boy as you finally stood chest to chest. A few strands of Spider’s locs fell in front of his face and dangled besides yours, hand going out to tuck it behind one of his ears. The boys knees almost gave out at the movement, stomach twisting in knots and skin beginning to tingle from your gentle graze.

“And w-what could that b-be?” He stuttered, dark blush covering his cheeks. He felt his heart beat even faster as the seconds ticked by, if that was possible.

You smiled up at Spider, right hand coming to gently take his left one. “A kiss, perhaps?” You asked, not expecting him to agree right away.

“You…you w-want to…to k-kiss me?” He shakingly asked, the hand in yours intertwining his fingers between yours. He couldn’t believe that this was actually happening. That you suggested that you both kiss. He’s dreamt of kissing you ever since he saw the couple down his hall kiss when he was younger, Max yet again had to explain the action to him. Ever since he knew that he liked you. Since he knew that you’d be the only one for him as long as he breathed.

You nodded at his question, eyes falling from his eyes to his lips and back to his eyes. You also dreamt of kissing the boy. You wanted to ever since you saw an Earth movie from the twenty-first century where the two protagonists were lovers. You wanted to experience everything that the two lovers in the movies experienced with Spider. It was something you often caught yourself daydreaming about when you had nothing else better to do.

At your confirmation, Spider gently and delicately cupped your face in his warm and bigger hands, bringing you closer to his lips. There was a sliver of space between your lips and his, the teen boy waiting for something. Spider’s eyes searched yours for hesitancy and when he saw none and received another nod of your head, he pressed his plump lips against yours.

Your left hand went up to his waist to steady yourself, knees nearly giving out on the spot as your brain realized that this was actually happening.

Warmth was the only thing you felt from the kiss as well as adoration and care. You thought the whole fireworks thing was a bit silly whenever a character in a movie talked about it. But this, this was so much better than fireworks. You could feel how much Spider loved and cared for you through a single kiss. Could feel how nervous you made him through his shaky hands and rapid heartbeat. It was much better than fireworks. You felt loved and cared for through your shared kiss. You only hoped that Spider could feel the same things you did from the kiss as well.

The two of you stood there for who knows how long, kissing and pecking each others lips. You only broke away from the kiss two times to inhale more oxygen before you passed out. Spider meanwhile kissed all over your face as you did so, placing gentle kisses against your cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin before slotting his lips against yours again once you filled your lungs with sweet oxygen.

A loud cough erupted from behind you, halting the both of you in your kiss. Fear and anxiety spikes through your system, eyes widening as you slowly turned around to see who caught you and Spider kissing face.

“I don’t want to know,” Max started, arms crossed against his chest as a sleepy expression painted his face, “Just, get to bed. Separately. And if anyone asks, I saw nothing, okay?”.

You swear you never ran to your room so fast in your life, giggling out into the quiet corridors of the lab with Spider trailing behind you. Yeah, sorry Max, but there was no way that either of you were going to bed in your respective rooms tonight. There was too much to talk about and catch up on.

spider had always been fascinated by the na’vi. pandora itself as he explored the wonders of life each day. but he never felt exactly at home. he saw the way neytiri judged him from afar, he understood your reasoning as his own kind destroyed your home.

but he just wanted a family, a family to feel like home. his relationship with jake was quite comforting, very much like a father figure to him. spider felt as if they had an understanding of each other in sorts. when jake would tell stories of earth at night around a warm fire, he would be so intrigued.

jake saw the way spider would listen more intently than his children, the comforted but excited gleam in his eyes, guilting him slightly. even though jake’s stories fascinated him, he didn’t think he’d ever want to leave pandora though.

his relationship with the sully brothers was just the same. they both saw him as a brother and spider the same. neteyam was very protective of his family, spider included, he knew how much trouble lo’ak and spider would get into and would scold them both equally.

neteyam taught him many ways of the omaticaya clan, he taught spider to train, his body gaining muscle and building strength. he also taught him to shoot arrows with a bow. they would often also tussle, neteyam a lot gentler considering his height, but he must admit he thought spider was strong for his kind, fearless too just like a warrior.

lo’ak loved spider. he loved to explore his home just as much as spider did. however the two were quite this mischievous pair. often receiving scoldings from his older brother and father. they hung out a lot. running around like children all the time. they’d do anything for each other, just like brothers.

his relationships with kiri and tuk were both adorable. he was very protective of the girls, he knew as sisters. just like neteyam and lo’ak, he protected kiri when boys would talk to her. he always kept a watchful eye on both sisters as he knew kiri loved to explore and tuk would never be far behind her.

but his relationship with you however, was way more special. you both grew up together, playing as babies, growing into toddlers and changing into teenagers. but no matter your age, you only grew closer. he knew his mother had died shortly after his birth, just like yours had died during your birth.

you both kept pictures of your mothers, sticking them above your beds and making up stories at night at what you’d think they be like. the way he talked and interacted with you was way different to any of the relationships he’d had.

however around the age of 13 he started to develop a nervous feeling around you. spider always thought you were beautiful, but one day you looked prettier, if that was possible. each day from then you only got prettier. now at the age of 18, you were the most beautiful human being he’d ever had the pleasure of being able to look at, the fact that he got to even touch you, hug you, hold your hand, kiss you still was unrealistic to him.

you always knew you’d had feelings for spider from a younger age. much like spider it did happen just one day, where you looked at him different. you were making dinner with norm, spider stood next to you as he cut vegetables too.

you’d just gotten back from hanging with the sully kids again. however, spider was off with neteyam training with him and lo’ak, as you helped kiri collect some substances from plants for her tsahìk training.

your eyes gravitated to his calloused hands, holding the sharp knife, his veins slightly bulging out. they travelled upwards along his forearm to his biceps as they strained, his muscles had grown. his body was covered in a light sheen of sweat as all the running and laughing you had done on the way home had tired him.

you’d catch yourself looking at his lean torso sometimes too, your mouth watering just a little as you thought about touching his body just a little. he’d catch you at times too, his body heating up under your gaze. eventually, the lingering gazes, touches, thoughts had proved enough for you both.

when you were both 16, under the stars one night you had laid closer staring into each others eyes as they both sparkled in delight. he had shocked you with his confidence as he leaned closer, looking down at your lips, his nerves quietly eating away at him as your hearts heated faster in tandem as your lips connected lightly.

he pressed soft pecks to your lips, experimentally. testing the waters as each kiss grew longer. eventually you broke apart, breathing heavier as rosy blushes set into both your cheeks as you giggled slightly. from then on you and spider had been “together”, never really making it official, he just knew he was yours and you his.

small make out sessions, turned into light grazing touches along each others skin, and the make out locations changed. from the forest at night to in your bed. you and spider didn’t share a room but it wasn’t usually for you to sleep in each others beds.

“Okay, can you try to get up?” Spider asked her. Y/N tried to get up with the help of him, but she went back down to the ground due to the pain. “Okay, plan B.” Spider told her. Before Y/N could ask what plan, B was he carefully picked her up and held her bridal style. “You all good?” Spider asked looking at her. Y/N couldn’t get any words out since she’s never been this close to him before, so she answered his question with a nod.

When Spider got Y/N back to the lab he took her straight to her brother, so he could check out her ankle. Norm first did an x-ray to make sure she didn’t break anything which she didn’t. Norm wrapped up her ankle and told her to ice in every couple of hours and try not to put a lot of pressure on it. Norm helped her back to her room and let her change into fresh and dry pair clothes. He helped her settle down in her bed and used a pillow to elevate her foot. Before he left to let her rest, she thanked her brother for helping her which he of course told her it’s no problem and that he’s always there to help take care of her.

After a couple of minutes, she decided to get back to reading her Na’vi book. After thirty minutes she felt a pair of familiar eyes on her from the doorway. “What’s the matter? Scared I’ll bite you?” Y/N said looking up at him with a teasing smile. “Ooo, that’s a good one. I’ll have to write that one down.” Spider said as he walked over to her bedside. “What did Norm say about your ankle?” Spider asked her with concern. “It’s not broken, but he said it looks sprained. He told me to ice it every two hours and keep my weight off it.” Y/N explained to him which made him sign in relief. He was scared that her ankle broke.

“Y/N, can I tell you something?” Spider asked sounding nervous which made himself cringe. Y/N was confused by his nervous tone since she’s actually never seen him nervous before. “Of course.” Y/N told him closing the book and setting it down onto her lap. She sat up and moved over a little so he could sit down on the edge of her bed. Spider took a deep breath and sat down on the bed.

“Y/N, I like you and I mean I like you as more than a friend.” Spider confessed to her which took her by surprise. “I’ve been wanting to tell you for a while now, but before I can get the words out, I always got interrupted.” Spider explained with a sigh. “Lo’ak told me I need to tell you, so you don’t think of me as a weirdo who just likes to stare at you.” Spider said. “I mean I only stare because every time I look at you, I just get lost in a daydream.” Spider said quickly adding onto his last statement.

Before he could say anything else Y/N connected her lips with his. Spider was taken back by the kiss but kissed her back. Y/N couldn’t find the words to tell him she liked him back, so she just took a chance and kissed him. They both felt electricity go through their bodies from the kiss.

When they released from the kiss they stared deep into each other’s eyes. “I like you, too!” Y/N confessed with a big smile on her face.

Somebody for the love of Eywa please please please write me a Neteyam or Spider hanahaki fic. Like could you imagine how cute yet absolutely angsty it could be. Like reader loves her best friend (Neteyam or Spider) but thinks she’d never be on their radar. So when she starts coughing up petals she distances herself the more she gets sick and (Neteyam or Spider) are just so absolutely confused on why she did. When they find out why they immediately rush over to her and all the sappy stuff that comes with a hanahaki fic.

Warnings: just kissing and fluff, I don’t think there’s any others!

Spider and you have always been super competitive. You guys hated each other. Why you guys were so competitive? No one knew. You guys would always race each other to and from places, race to finish your food first, and see who could train an irkyan first.

“Y/n” Spider whines after losing to get to the lab first. “You suck Spider! Just embrace it my god” you say with a sly smirk. “Wow so that’s how your gonna be” he says after being bent over from trying to catch his breath.

Lately you’ve been wanting more than just being his rival. You needed him. But oh god, you hated him. You can’t help but look at his muscles. They were just so perfect. He was just so perfect.

“Staring are we sweetheart?” He laughs as you look up from his muscles “don’t flatter yourself spider, no girl will ever want you” he looks at you with lust in his eyes “who said I wanted other girls?” You stare at him as he gets closer to you. You really wanted to jump into his arms and kiss his breath away.

He doesn’t stop looking at you. “Every girl in the lab wants you.” You plead “I have my eyes on this one girl actually” you had a history of overthinking, so that’s what you were doing right now. You made yourself think no one would ever want you. Making your feelings be hurt by his soft angelic words.

You role your eyes and try to walk away. “I’m trying to talk to you gorgeous”. He grabs your wrist as you look deep into his eyes. “I think Emma likes you, maybe she would be good as your mate” he roles his eyes “Jesus how blind are you” he says before smashing his soft plump lips onto yours. It doesn’t even take you a second till you start kissing him too.

“I thought that you said no girl would ever want me?” He laughs into the kiss “shut up and just kiss me already.”

If there was one thing tsu'tey liked to do in the afternoons, it was to go hunting alone. Walking through the jungle, with his bow and enjoying the silence that the jungle provided. He was very comfortable in various branches and bushes, the austrapede was right before his eyes, standing still while eating grass. Just as he was about to shoot, he saw the animal raise its head in alertness and run away. At the same time, he heard a noise coming from his feet. Looking down, he found a small creature. Little Y/N. He relaxed his shoulders, and lowered his bow. Watching as the girl was still literally sitting on her feet with a fruit. The girl was moving the fruit up and down and tapping it on the ground in order to break it.

"y/n" tsu'tey speaks softly, watching as the little girl looks up to see her favorite person. "Tsu…look!!!" speaks the little girl, lifting the fruit in the air. Tsu'tey laughs a little, and kneels down so that she can be at the same height as the little girl. The girl gets up from the ground, and automatically approaches the na'vi. Showing her the fruit. " I want….hunger" y/n speaks, in a very basic na'vi language. The poor thing was trying to learn to speak na'vi and English at the same time. Tsu'tey takes the fruit in her hands, the fruit was very big for a little girl. "What are you doing here alone?" asks tsu'tey stroking the little girl's hands, noticing that she had some scratches and her clothes were all dirty. Out of nowhere, a noise calls her attention…looking up to some bushes ahead. Tsu'tey takes the girl by the arm. Hugging her in order to protect her. "Y/N!!! LOOK…I FOUND MORE!!!" shouts spider, running to the direction where the girl was. Tsu'tey's heart calmed down, as he saw the other human child passing by in the village.

The child run, and bumped into tsu'tey's arm which had them reached out for the child to hug him. "spider…what are you doing here?" asks Tsutey, he knew that spider spoke the na'vi language better and was more extroverted than y/n. "We were hungry and went out hunting" says spider, playfully gesturing with his wooden bow, which tsu'tey had given him as a gift a couple of months ago. "you guys are hungry…wow" says tsu'tey, watching as y/n settles more on his chest. Tsu'tey noticed that spider was also dirty and his tired little face was showing. "Are you tired?" asks tsu'tey, wiping some of spider's hair. They both nod their heads. "How about we go to my hut and I help you cut this fruit?" says Tsutey, the children got happy and started jumping up and down. Tsu'tey stood up and began to guide both little ones home. He didn't have to worry much, both children knew the way very well.

It was not the first time tsu'tey had encountered these two human children. Left alone in the jungle, without parental supervision. This made him uncomfortable and annoyed him. He knew that spider was the son of the man who had hurt his clan, his planet. And he also knew that Y/N was the daughter of jake, well…of the human version of jake. He knew the whole story, neytiri had told him. At first it all seemed strange to him, but with time he could understand. What he couldn't understand was why jakesully didn't love you and always rejected you in some way. Y/n was still his daughter…whatever it was. But apparently he didn't understand this, which caused the man to care much more about the young children. They were both 5 years old, and he could not stop worrying about the welfare of both children. At first it was difficult for him to get close to the two children, but he got used to it.

"Ok…sit over there…and I'll help you cut that fruit" says tsu'tey watching the children running around the hut. Laughing and playing as they sat down where tsu'tey had ordered them to. The man reached for a container of water and a cloth. He had to clean the children up a bit, it pained him to see them so careless. He sat down next to spider, while y/n sat on his lap. "Tsu…I want a giant piece" says spider, yelling a little. Tsu'tey tapped him on the glass of his mask. "Spider…don't scream…I'm right here beside you" says tsu'tey laughing as he watched the boy get up to start playing with some toys tsu'tey had. He made some wooden toys for when they would visit him at his home. "Let's see…you know what you have to do. Hold your breath, pull up your mask and put the fruit in your mouth" says tsu'tey handing a piece to y/n. She was sitting on his lap all this time, quietly.

After the children eat their fruit, he cleans the children. Cleaning their hands, face, combing some of their hair. He even put some beads in their hair, according to him to make them look more of the clan. "How about if I make you some new clothes?" said tsu'tey. The children were so happy, spider grabbed y/n's hand, inviting her to play with him. Tsu'tey enjoyed the view, watching the children play and run around the hut. This felt so good, he always wanted a family. It all seemed so far from reality…he had gotten the idea that he was never going to find his mate. And that he would never have a family. So he enjoyed these moments with the children. After a fun afternoon for him, he decided to take the children to their respective homes. That was the ugly place which humans called 'laboratory'. Tsu'tey had the children carried in his arms, spider was on his neck holding his head, while y/n was on his left arm. The child was holding a little flower she had found on the road. "Y/N!!!" a somewhat loud voice was heard from the distance, tsu'tey watched as jake approached him. The man approached tsu'tey, and tried to take y/n in his arms. But the little girl clung to tsu'tey's arms. "Come here…we have to go home. Where had you gone?" asks jake, his tone of voice sounding annoyed. "They were in the jungle…both children" says tsu'tey holding both children tighter. "I think they ran away from me and…" jake started to give an explanation.

"There is no excuse…you have to be more aware of them. If you don't want y/n, at least watch out for their safety," tsu'tey says even more annoyed. Jake remains silent, he knew his friend was right. Jake did love you, but he didn't have the same connection he had with his children. He was never there during your pregnancy, or in your first years of life. So to him…y/n was just another child. Tsu'tey carefully handed both children to jake. "Take them to a safe place…please" tsu'tey talks, while releasing the little ones. They didn't want to get away from him. Spider was whining and y/n was starting to cry. Tsu'tey gave him a little kiss on the crown of his head and said goodbye to the children. Watching as jake tried to soothe them. It broke his heart, how he wished he could stay with them. But how could that be possible? He could pick up spider, he had no one. But y/n? She had her father…he couldn't go and ask her…that would never happen.

That same week, the children continued to hang out in their hut. Playing and spending all day with him. He practically had two new little tails. He would feed them, which was a difficult task because of the oxygen masks. He also taught them what they needed to know to survive in Pandora. And he gave them lots of love…who would have thought that a man like tsu'tey could be so loving. He combed and cared for his children. He liked to think of them as his…his little babies. Everyone in the clan was surprised to see tsu'tey with two human children, treating them as if they were his own. They talked and said comments but he didn't care. Someone had to take care of these two orphans and he was doing it. While jake and norm were in their own worlds…neytiri noticed tsu'tey's new behavior toward the human children.

Unlike jake, neytiri cared about you. She always tried to take care of you, when you were in the family hut. After all, you were half-sister to her children. It was the middle of the day…and she was sitting in the hut, looking after and watching her young children play. And in that group was y/n…playing with lo'ak. She watched as the little girl ran up, screaming. "'Dad…daddy!!!'" says y/n. Running toward the entrance, neytiri turns around expecting to see her mate. But she was surprised to see tsu'tey standing in the doorframe. The man had a basket full of vegetables, and was kneeling down waiting for the little girl's hug. The girl hugs him with all her heart, as he lifts her into the air, settling her in his arms. Walking to where neytiri was. "Hello…neytiri. I brought something for the family" says tsu'tey, he seemed to be very happy. "Thank you…I am grateful" says neytiri, accepting the basket and watching as her friend sat down next to her. All the children went to greet them, he lovingly greeted them one by one.

Neytiri appreciated the treatment and love tsu'tey had for her children. That's how it should be…after all he was practically her brother. After greeting all the children, Y/n hugged tsu'tey again and settled on her lap. "my pretty flower…how are you? Have you eaten?" asks tsu'tey, adjusting the girl's hair. "Yes… neyney gave me a nice meal" says the little girl lifting up her dirty shirt to show her stomach. Both adults laugh, neytiri reaches over and touches the little girl's stomach tickling it. She liked that nickname the little y/n had given her, neyney….sounded so adorable. "That sounds perfect…look I brought you something?" says Tsutey, pulling something out of a little pouch on his waist. Neteyam had come over, sitting right next to you on tsu'tey's lap. "Is that clothes?" asks the little neteyam, squeezing his sister. "yes, it's for y/n…it's just like kiri's" says tsu'tey, untangling the clothes. Stretching it out to show it to everyone, neytiri was surprised. It was small, but it was very beautiful. With feathers, and very delicate stones.

" My,my,my!!!" y/n speak, raising her arms so she could take her clothes. "Kiri…why don't you help your sister change" neytiri says, while kiri took y/n's hand. Behind the two of them, there was neteyam. "We have to put a bracelet on her" shouts the boy, both adults laugh. Tsu'tey was surprised at how attached the children were to y/n, even neytiri. So the problem was…jake. "She calls you dad," neytiri says, not mincing words. As she looked at what was in the basket. "She just calls 'jake' to her father…" neytiri was about to keep talking, when tsu'tey interrupts her. "Neytiri… being a parent is something you earn. And I think I have done an excellent job with those children." Tsu'tey says, he was proud of his words, for he knew they were true. "I know… and I am very proud of you. I'm aware that my partner doesn't give her the attention that child needs… so you've earned that title," the woman speaks. They both stand in silence for a while.

"I think I would be a better father to her? And also for the boy?" speaks tsu'tey, neytiri now looks at him with concern. She didn't know what to tell him now, this was a difficult situation. "You mean…you want to adopt them?" asks neytiri, she wanted to be sure she had listened well. "Yes, I want them to be my children. I will take complete care of them and Jake won't have to worry about anything…they will be in good hands."

Neytiri knows deep down that this is for the best. Although it was hard to believe, tsu'tey had accepted the presence of those human children. Maybe he felt sorry for them, since they spent all day alone. If Y/N was not with neytiri, she was alone with spider doing what things. She knew tsu'tey would be an excellent father, and she would support him. "I'll talk to jake…but I'm not promising anything" says neytiri, seeing how on tsu'tey's face a big smile was drawn. "She will still come and she will be with her brothers…I just want her to be safe" tsu'tey tries to convince neytiri. The woman puts a hand on her friend's shoulder. "Calm down…I will do what I can" neytiri speaks. They both looked up, when they heard the children approaching. Y/N had the na'vi clothes that tsu'tey had made for him. She also had a few accessories that her siblings had put on her. Y/N runs to neytiri, wrapping her small arms around her neck. "Let me see…you look very pretty. Do you like it?" says neytiri, arranging several pieces of the outfit. "Yessssss!!!" shouts the excited little girl. "Mom…did you see that I put my bracelet on y/n…it looks better on her" says neteyam, arranging more of the piece on her sister's arm.

"They did a great job," tsu'tey says. Neytiri fixes the girl's hair, while her brothers play with her. "Hey…how do you say?" orders neytiri looking at you with a serious look. "Thank you" y/n gets shy, while thanking tsu'tey. The latter reaches over and caresses a cheek of the little one. He could already feel the excitement, hopefully jake would accept. He felt grateful to know that someone cared for her, neytiri was doing a great job in taking care of her. And if he kept the little girl, he would bring y/n every day to spend time with her. He could tell they had a nice relationship. After a while, the man said goodbye to everyone, neytiri told him that she was going to stay with y/n and not to worry. He had to go to the lab to look for spider. He had also prepared an outfit for his little boy.

When he got to the lab, he knocked on the door. Norm let spider out, the man took good care of him. But not well enough, children need to be given love and time. And these people weren't doing that. He waited patiently for his boy to come out. According to Norm, Spider was asleep and he had to get him up. After about 5 minutes, the little boy came out, sleepy. Tsu'tey carries him, and the little boy hugs him. "I brought you a surprise," says tsu'tey, lowering the boy to the ground. As he pulled out a bundle, in which his new outfit was wrapped. Spider was so happy, tsu'tey's eyes lit up at the sight of the little boy's face. So excited, for such a simple gesture. Spider took the gift and ran inside the lab to change. "Wait for me here!!!" shouts the boy tsu'tey laughs and sits down on the metal stairs to wait for the boy. He is convinced that it was a good idea to create their own na'vi clothing, this way they will be cleaner and feel more comfortable.

The day happened just as he had planned it. If everything went well…Jake would agree to let him stay and take care of y/n. If he was a smart man he would agree to let him stay and take care of them. If he was a smart man he would agree right away. Tsu'tey began to clear away the mess he had in his hut. There were a few toys that the children had left in the morning, he was so happy. After a while, he heard someone enter his hut, "Hello…" tsu'tey spoke, noticing that it was Jake who had arrived. He quickly interrupts him. "You think you can just go to neytiri and ask her for me to give y/n to you. That's not how it works" says jake, he was a bit annoyed. This put tsu'tey on alert, how dare he complain to him if he didn't even want to and didn't even pay attention to y/n. "Are you listening to yourself… I'm the one who takes care of those children. I'm the one who feeds them, takes care of them and watches over them. You don't even pay attention to y/n" tsu'tey raises his voice, he is so upset. He wanted to hit this man right now, but he was controlling himself. Just then, neytiri arrives at the hut. She was agitated and you could see her worried face.

"Norm lost the children!!!" says neytiri worriedly. The woman had taken y/n to the lab in the afternoon. She handed her over to Norm, since y/n couldn't sleep all night in the hut, the oxygen wouldn't last long. But couple of minutes later, lo'ak came running to his mother saying that when he went to play with his sister and didn't find her and that norm was looking for her. And that with her was spider. Neytiri quickly tried to explain everything to the men in front of her, she felt that she had interrupted something that was about to end very badly. Hearing that spider and y/n were lost, he quickly ran, pushing jake aside and going to the lab area. Neytiri didn't even look at Jake and took off after his friend. Jake followed some time later.

Tsu'tey arrived at the lab upset, norm was in his avatar body holding a flashlight. Tsu'tey grabbed norm's shoulders, he had to tell him where the children were. "No…they said they were going to play nearby, they said something about some flowers" norm spoke quickly, tsu'tey could be quite an intimidating man. As soon as norm mentioned flowers, tsu'tey knew where both children are. He relaxed a little, but not at all, the road to that place could be quite dangerous at night. Tsu'tey started walking, ignoring some complaints from jake and some questions from neytiri. They decided to follow the man without any protests. The path was quite close, it was a place where tsu'tey used to take the children to play. A nice meadow that had a lot of flowers, bright. It was a beautiful place, but it could be a bit dangerous for two five year olds.

Arriving at the meadow tsu'tey saw two small figures in the dark, he approached slowly accompanied by jake, neytiri and norm. "And what are you two doing here?" speaks tsu'tey with a calm and sweet voice. Causing both children to look up, running a little towards the man. Tsu'tey wrapped his arms around them, sighing with relief. "I thought something serious happened to you guys…you shouldn't be here at night" says tsu'tey, looking annoyed at the children. "We're sorry!!!" says both children, holding hands. Jake walks over to where the children are, carrying them. "Well…we have to go" says jake, neytiri stood next to tsu'tey…she knew he was upset. She took his hand and gave it a squeeze. "I tried…but he's kind of stubborn" neytiri speaks. "He doesn't know how to take care of them…. y/n. He…" tsu'tey turns away from neytiri and starts walking home.

He could feel several tears running down his cheeks. He felt anger and insufficient… he only wanted the best for these children. He himself felt strange, to feel compassion and affection for human children. He arrived at his hut, and quickly lay down in his hammock. He had to get used to the idea that he could never have his own family, that he would never be able to take enough care of these children, because they did not belong to him and although he did not like the idea, they already had their own parents. He settled down, trying to relieve himself of his feelings. He almost got his sleep, but finally after a long time he was able to sleep. The night passed quickly, and as usual he got up early. Wiping his face, not noticing anything else around him.

Out of nowhere he felt someone moving something in his hut. Turning his eyes slowly, he saw a spider looking in the basket where the toys were. Then he saw y/n sitting down, she was playing with one of the wooden ikran. He couldn't believe it, what was going on? Why were the kids here so early in the morning? "Norm said he'll bring you an oxygen capsule later…so the kids can sleep in there" speaks jake…he was on the other side of the hut. Sitting on the floor. Tsu'tey is surprised, and pulls back. "What?" tsu'tey was surprised, he didn't understand what was going on. ""You're so right….I'm a bad father to Y/N"" speaks jake. Both men talk, and begin to set the record straight. Jake knew that he wasn't the best thing for Y/N, and that he neglected her too much.

He had talked to neytiri at night, she talked to him. That it was best for Y/N to be with tsu'tey. Jake had been thinking about it all night, it was the best thing to do. Besides, he wouldn't be far from her…besides, his daughter didn't call him father. To her, her father was the man in front of her, the one who had taken care of her for the last two years. Like Y/N, Jake talked to Norm…he told him that Spider should go with Tsu'tey, that he was the best thing for these children. Jake said goodbye to both children, and walked away without looking back. Although he didn't want to admit it, it hurt him a little to admit that he was a bad father and that it was too late now.

Left alone with both children, tsu'tey sits still stunned by the situation. He could not believe it, eywa had heard his prayers. His heart wanted to burst out of his chest, he was so happy. The little girl approaches her father, and hands him the toy. She had a cute smile on her face. "You know you will stay with me…I-I will be your daddy" says tsu'tey, taking the hand of spider, who had come closer. Both children nodded their heads. "I promise I will take care of you…I promise" both children hug their new father tightly. Even though they always knew…that he was their father.

𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: spider socorro x all!reader. 𝐰/𝐜: 697. 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐢

you lay in bed as you stared up through your skylight. the warm pandorian air filled your metal bunk as quiet chirps and screeches of creatures echoed around the forest. you tried closing your eyes again, hoping they somehow would just grow tired if you relaxed, but you were bored.

eclipse was still setting as the last of the daylight burned your eyes when you opened them again. you jolted as a gentle knock racked on your window, spider peeking through as he pointed to the latch. you pushed the thin sheets off as you tiptoed to the ledge, aware of the creaking metal trying to snitch on you to norm.

he smiles as you wave at him through the glass, swiping the latch to the side and pulling the window up. you could hear his quick, heavy, intakes of air slow down as he started to speak.

“come out, let’s watch eclipse!” he spoke in a hushed tone, turning slightly to watch the metal door to the lab connected to your bunk before he turned back, awaiting your answer. you thought about it for a second, looking towards your messy sheets, lightly running over as you stuffed clothes under the sheet, pulling the thin material over the top to make it look like you were sleeping.

you rushed back over to the window, smiling mischievously at the boy infront of you who snickered at your antics. spider threw his arms up slightly as you threw a leg over the windowsill, your hands gripped his shoulders, as his grabbed ahold of your waist, pulling you down and placing you on the ground, your bare feet touching the grass.

you gleamed up at the tall boy as he held your hips. he shot you a sweet smile before his sweaty palm took a hold of your small hand, pulling you forward, breaking into a jog as he dragged you along with him. branches, leaves and plants tickled your bodies as you started to giggle.

joyous laughs bounced off the oak trees and rippled through water. he slowed down as neon colours came into view. he brought you to the tree of souls. you stood still, gawking at the sight of the luminous willow branches. spider stared too, his gaze following the branches as they swayed slightly in the breeze.

he brought you back as he gently tugged on your hand, guiding you forward and closer to the base as he dropped to the ground. he crawled forward, leaning his shoulders back on the bark as he patted his thighs for you to lay between. you fell to your knees as you shuffled forward too, twisting your sides and slouching back on his bare chest.

his muscular arms wrapped around yours, pulling you up and closer to his body. the suns heat focused on you both, heating up your skin as you relaxed into his hold. you watched as it lowered, beginning to hide behind the rocky arches and mountains.

you glanced up at spider, his eyes closed, his body comfortable. his chest rose and fell leisurely as you focused back on the sun. your eyelids gradually closed, becoming heavy as you grew tired, you closed them again as a wave of sleep found you.

in the early hours of the morning, neteyam woke. deciding to take a wash without the nuisance of his siblings, he wandered through the forest. he could hear the screeching of ikrans as the village woke and bustle of his fellow clan members as he walked.

two figures caught his eye, you and spider. spider lay flat, his body cushioned by the plush grass and you, cuddled under his right arm, your palm resting above his left pec. light snores came from the boys mouth too as neteyam took notice of the woodsprites floating around you.

he smiled kindly as he watched them float from resting around you both on the ground, only moving as neteyam had approached, disturbed by his footsteps. he shook his head and laughed as he continued to the lake, reminding himself to tell his brother later as they both would want answers from spider.

i know a girl from an island she stands apart from the crowd she loves the sea and her people she makes her whole family proud…

being the daughter of the village chief wasn’t easy. you were the precious secondborn child to ronal and tonowari, adored by your people and doted on by your parents… but you would never be tsireya.

she was responsible, selfless, compassionate and of course, beautiful. always did as she was told, stayed out of trouble, would fiercely defend her family if she needed to. never talked back, cared deeply for the wildlife, made sure she stayed inside the reef. she was the perfect golden child.

you on the other hand, were headstrong, curious, defiant. you were also willing to defend your family fiercely, but also those who were unable to defend themselves. ready to fight. ready for the next big adventure. trouble always seemed to find you, regardless of how hard you tried to stay out of it. there was so much more to life than just staying in the same village, doing the same things everyday for the rest of your life. so, you were often found outside of the reef with your ilu, your spear and your thoughts - much to your parents disdain. 

when the sullys came, you had tried to avoid being caught up in the excitement of guests, but of course you had been dragged to the front by your brothers. you greeted the family respectfully like you had been taught to, but your eyes lingered on a certain boy. he had 2 strands of hair hanging on the side of his face adorned with rainbow beads. his lips curled into a tiny smile as he gestured to you, but as tsireya walked out from the water he turned and his smile dropped, eyes widening. 

that’s when you knew he would never be truly yours. you could give him the sun, pandora’s moon, the stars, anything he could possibly want - but he would always be tsireya’s. he never hesitated to rush to her if she needed help, or if she wanted to go for a walk, he was with her as much as he could be. and it crushed you. you tried to hide those feelings, focusing on how when you were old enough you would travel beyond the reef and finally fulfill what you thought was your purpose. but if he ever asked, you would throw all of that away for him. you both had so much more in common, but that wasn’t enough.

when the skypeople attacked, both you and you sister fought valiantly at the sully’s side. they had done too much damage to your island for you to stand in the sidelines. they went after the tulkun, killing roa, your mother’s spirit sister and her calf, and killing liyanin, your spirit sister in the midst of their rampage. you rushed at lo’ak’s side to help him warn payakan, coming head to head with the skypeople. they had captured you, lo’ak, tsireya and tuk aboard their warship, handcuffing you to the side as bait for their father. you tried not to despise him for bringing his war to your home, or for favoring neteyam over his second son. he treated them like soldiers rather than children and lo’ak would never be as good at neteyam in his parents’ eyes, much like you would never be as perfect as tsireya to your parents. maybe it should’ve been neteyam you fell for, maybe it would’ve been easier on your heart. but eywa and her will had other plans.

as soon as you had been cut free you should have ran to save yourself, but lo’ak couldn’t leave his adoptive brother spider behind. like the warrior you are, you followed him and neteyam to help. tsireya and tuk had run to find safety beyond the battle, and here you were running head first back into it. being sneaky was never one of your strong suits like it was for the forest boys. grabbing one of the guns the dead skypeople had dropped, you shot anything and everything you could in every direction to help them jump into the water free from harm. dropping the gun and diving head first yourself, the water seemed to fill your lungs faster than it ever had before. 

you had been shot. shielding neteyam from the bullets flying your way, one of them had gone right through your chest, a little below your collarbone. gasping, flailing, coughing up blood as they pulled you onto an ilu towards a bout of rocks amongst the warship carnage. tsireya’s screams and cries filled the air, her hands covering your bullet wound in an attempt to prevent blood loss. 

“no, no, no!” lo’ak cried, one hand gripping yours and the other resting upon your face.

“stay with me, stay with me. you need to keep your eyes open, please.” you couldn’t help but softly smile. it was your lo’ak here with you as you lay dying. his family surrounded you, silent as they watched your rugged breathing slow.

“take care of her for me, okay?” tsireya gripped your other hand, and you gave it as strong of a squeeze as you could. you stared at the stars, the sounds of their pleading growing quieter as you crossed into eywa’s arms.

lo’ak cradled your lifeless body in his arms, sobbing, kissing your face like he wished he had done when you were still alive. he rocked back and forth has he tucked the stray wet hairs behind your ears and away from your face. 

“i love you, please don’t leave me,” he chanted. i love you. i love you. i love you. if only he had told you sooner.

Ever since Spider had reunited with the Sully’s he hasn’t really been welcomed in by the Metkayina clan. It’s mostly because his father is Quaritch who had caused so much distraction to Pandora. The only one from the Metkayina clan that have showed the most kindness and welcoming to Spider is Y/N who is the the eldest daughter of Tonowari, the Olo’eyktan of the Metkayina clan and his wife Ronal.

Y/N has always been the kindest Metkayina along with her sister Tsireya but Y/N does have a whole lot more pressure on her for being the perfect sibling since she is the eldest and her parents want her to be a good role model to not just her younger siblings but all of the Metkayina children. Her parents also expect her to be the most responsible as well.

That’s why it worries her parents to see how much she has bonded with Spider. Y/N’s parents done trust Spider like the Sully’s do.

Y/N was hanging out with her sister, Tsireya. They were in the water on their Ilus just talking sister stuff like they always do. As Tsireya was telling Y/N a story she spotted Spider hanging out with the Sully kids, Lo’ak, Kiri, and Tuk on the shore line. It didn’t take long for Y/N to put all of her attention on just Spider. She could feel butterflies in her stomach when Spider laughed at something Tuk said. She probably told them a joke that she came up with. The only two that laughed were Spider and Kiri while Lo’ak just playfully rolled his eyes which is what he does all the time when Tuk tells a silly joke.

“Y/N!” Tsireya said waving one of her hands in front of Y/N which quickly got her attention. “Sorry.” Y/N told her feeling embarrassed. “What were you staring at?” Tsireya asked her in a curious tone. “Oh, um nothing.” Y/N said looking anywhere but her sister’s face. Tsireya looked over and when she saw Spider her lips curved up into a smile.

“Why won’t you just admit that you are growing feelings for him?” Tsireya said looking back at Y/N. “Well, you like Lo’ak.” Y/N said ignoring her question by putting the attention on her crush than hers. She still wasn’t looking at Tsireya. “And I have already admitted my feelings about him to you.” Tsireya said reminding her which made Y/N playfully roll her eyes.

“I don’t see why you won’t admit it. I see how happy you are when you are around him.” Tsireya said which made Y/N let out a heavy sigh. “I feel like if I do admit my feelings, I feel like I’ll disappoint mom and dad.” Y/N told her looking at her sister with sadness in her ocean blue eyes. “Aw Y/N.” Tsireya said as her lips turned down into a frown.

“I don’t care who his father is. He’s not him.” Y/N said with some frustration in her voice. “I know he’s not but after everything that has happened between the Na’vi, and his kind mom and dad are just trying to be cautious.” Tsireya explained to her. “It’s just going to take them a little longer to accept him.” Tsireya added in a reassuring tone. “We’ll see.” Y/N said with a sigh looking over at Spider who was talking to Kiri while Lo’ak was on his Ilu with Tuk.

Y/N just got done with her chores her parents gave her when she saw Spider sitting in the sand all by himself. When the water would reach where he was sitting, he would feel the water with his hands. Y/N started to feel a little concern about him sitting there all by himself, so she decided to walk over to him.

“Hi.” Y/N said to him as she stood next to him. “Hi, Y/N.” Spider said looking up at her. “Why are you sitting here all by yourself?” Y/N asked him. “Just trying to clear my head up a little.” Spider answered with a heavy sigh. “Do you want to join me?” Spider asked her in a curious tone. “Sure.” Y/N said with a soft smile. When she took a seat right down next to him, they both stared out into the ocean.

“I’m sorry that my clan hasn’t been very welcoming to you.” Y/N told him in a soft tone. “It’s okay. I’m used to that feeling.” Spider told her which made her heart ache. “I know that you’re on the Na’vi’s side in this long going war. But please tell me that you aren’t blaming yourself for what has happened recently.” Y/N said to him with hope in her voice. “I try not to but it’s hard because when anyone looks at me, they see him.” Spider said trying to keep himself together.

He’s tired of feeling vulnerable when it comes to what his father had done. He feels like the only one who looks at him as himself is Y/N. It breaks her heart to see all of the Metkayina kids brush him off and be really rude towards. It annoys her when her younger brothers, Aonung and Rotxo talk down to Spider and no matter how many times she’s told them to be nice to Spider they just brush her off too. It doesn’t help that their parents just take their side and keep letting them do it.

“You do blame yourself?” Y/N said looking over at him with concern in her eyes and voice. “Sometimes I feel like I could’ve done more to stop him. To stop them.” Spider told her as he avoided looking into her worried eyes. “But you knew everything they did was wrong.” Y/N told him. She took one of his hands into hers which made him look away from the water and at her. Her blue eyes connected with his brown eyes like they always do when they look at each other. “That’s all that matters.” Y/N told him with a comforting smile. Spider gave her a nod as his lips turned into a small smile. Y/N always know what to say to him when he gets down on himself.

“Y/N!” She heard a familiar voice call out her name in a stern voice. When both Y/N and Spider saw it was Ronal calling her daughter’s name they knew their hangout was over for the day. When Spider let go of her hand, she felt emptiness go through her.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Ronal asked looking down at her daughter with stern eyes. “I’m talking to my friend.” Y/N told her mom not being intimidated by her mother’s stern glance. She’s tired of her parents trying to control who she talks to or who she hangs out with. “Y/N to our Marui now!” Ronal told her in a stern tone. “No, I want to stay here and talk to Spider.” Y/N said standing her ground. “I’m your mother and I say go to our Marui now! I’m not going to say it again.” Ronal told her not letting her daughter tell her tell her no. “You should go with your mom.” Spider said before Y/N could respond to Ronal. “I should get back to the Sully’s anyways.” Spider said as he stood up. Y/N watched him walk away with sadness in her blue eyes.

“Y/N!” Ronal said breaking Y/N’s gaze away from Spider. Y/N let out a heavy sigh as she stood up from the sand and walked towards her families Mauri with her mom following behind her. Right when they got there Ronal told Y/N to sit which she did. Y/N folded her arms over her chest waiting for her daily lecture.

“No matter how many times your father and I have told you to stay away from that boy you just keep disobeying us.” Ronal said with anger in her voice. Y/N avoided her mom’s stern gaze. “You are the eldest sibling which means you are the role model to your younger siblings. They don’t need to see their older sibling disobeying their parents' orders.” Ronal lectured her. “You also have another sibling on the way, and you can’t keep stressing me out by being around that boy!” Ronal added as she put her hand on pregnant stomach. She added. Y/N just continued to stay silent.

“Y/N look at me!” Ronal told her in a demanding tone. Y/N sighed as she did what her mother told her to do. “I’m going to tell you for the last time.” Ronal started. “You are forbidden to see that boy.” Ronal told her in strict tone. “Do I make myself clear?” Ronal asked her but Y/N stayed silent which made her start to lose her patience. “Y/N answer me right now!” Ronal demanded. “No!” Y/N snapped finally talking. Ronal was caught off guard since Y/N has never talked to her in that tone before. She’s never heard her daughter talk in that tone ever. Y/N got up onto her feet.

“You and father have raised me to be accepting to everyone and anyone who come to our village and Spider is no exception.” Y/N told her now it being her time to talk. “I understand what Spider’s kind to us, but he is nothing like his father.” Y/N explained to her mother. “Just because you and dad don’t see him like I do doesn’t mean I am not allowed to be around him.” Y/N said in a stern tone.

“I think he’s very sweet and he cares so much about our people so no matter what you and dad say I’m going to continue to be around him.” Y/N told her. Without another word Y/N walked past her mother and out of the families Mauri.

Y/N has been clearing her mind out a little bit before she goes to talk to Spider. She wants to tell him that no matter what her parents tell her she isn’t going to stop seeing him. She finally feels free after standing up to her mom and she knows the perfect thing to say to Spider.

Y/N spotted Lo’ak talking with Tsireya so she walked over to them to ask Lo’ak if he knows where Spider is. “Hi, sorry to interrupt but I need to ask Lo’ak a quick question.” Y/N said getting their attention. “What’s up?” Lo’ak said in a curious tone. “Do you know where Spider is?” Y/N asked him. “Yeah, he’s in our Mauri with Kiri and Tuk.” Lo’ak answered her question. “Okay, thank you.” Y/N said and walked towards the Sully’s Mauri.

When Y/N walked into the Mauri she saw Spider sitting on the floor with Tuk and Kiri playing a game that Tuk most likely came up with. “Hi.” Y/N said only getting Kiri and Tuk’s attention. “Hi, Y/N!” Tuk said with an excited smile. “What brings you here?” Kiri asked in a curious tone. “Do you want to play my game with us?” Tuk asked before Y/N could answer Kiri’s question which made Kiri playfully roll her eyes at her. “Sure, but I need to talk to Spider outside first.” Y/N said which made Spider look up at her. “If that’s okay with him.” Y/N added. Spider gave her a nod as he stood up. Kiri and Tuk shared a smile as Spider followed Y/N outside.

“Y/N I don’t want to get you in trouble again.” Spider told her with worry. “I told my mother that no matter what her and my father tell me it’s not going to keep me away from you.” Y/N told him in a reassuring tone. “I love hanging out with you because it makes me happy!” Y/N told him with a warm smile. “Me too.” Spider said as his cheeks turned a light shade of red.

“Don’t listen to what everyone says. You’re not you’re father. You are a much better man than him.” Y/N told him locking her blue eyes with his brown eyes. “I see you.” Y/N told him. Spider smiled as he took one of her hands into hers just like she did earlier with his’s. “I see you, too.” Spider told her as he held onto her hand tight.
