K-POP INTERVIEW: Idol Group VAV Opens Up During First U.S. Tour
What The K-pop recently sat down with VAV for an exclusive interview during their first U.S. tour!
The group— consisting of the seven members St. Van, Jacob, Liu, Baron, Ace, Ayno, and Ziu— are a K-pop boy group who have dropped amazing music from a variety of genres like funky-disco, urban R&B, ballad, hip-hop, and even reggae! They embarked on their first international tour earlier this year and began the U.S. leg of the tour on August 17th in New Jersey, then followed up by hitting Atlanta, Dallas, and Chicago.
When VAV took to the stage in Atlanta on August 19th at the Buckhead Theatre, What The K-pop was lucky enough to see the group's amazing show, as well as speak to them personally in a lighthearted interview!
The day began with all of the fans lined up outside, talking excitedly with each other about VAV and handing out fan-made goods in honor of the group. Studio PAV's staff and volunteers handled the event in an organized manner that kept things running smoothly.
The fans with VIP tickets and VVIP tickets were given the chance to have a fanmeeting and autograph session with the members of VAV before the concert, and the boys were nothing but upbeat and happy to speak to the VAMPZ (VAV's fanclub) the entire time.
Just prior to the concert, our staff sat down with VAV backstage to chat for a little while. Fans will be thrilled to know that even off stage and away from cameras, the members are just as personal, friendly, and funny as they appear onstage. Once the cameras were rolling, they chatted about everything from their favorite songs to what they plan on dressing up as for Halloween. When the interview was over, they continued to sit around and talk a while, playing a game with our staff (and even winning a few prizes that made them laugh!). They had amazing, funny personalities, as well as being just very polite.
The band is named Very Awesome Voice for obvious reasons, and they proved it to be true through an incredible night of performances once the concert began. Starting it off with their most recent title track "Spotlight," VAV certainly kept the audience hype throughout the night. On top of this, the group took the time in-between songs to speak to everyone, answer questions, and even bring a few fans on stage to fulfill their wishes! Ayno and Ziu were even able to show off an epic duo performance to a song that Ayno himself wrote!
Their singing and dancing was on point and they never ceased their energy throughout the night. Even after the group photos and the Polaroid picture event— a process that took over a few hours to complete in total— the members of VAV were seen still smiling, dancing around, and talking excitedly with each fan.
On a personal level, even prior to the concert, I always thought of VAV as a sweet and loving group when dealing with everyone from their fans to their fellow band members. After seeing them in action for an entire night, they did nothing but confirm these facts and made me fully realize just how incredibly polite, fun-loving, and hard-working these guys are. And to answer one of the questions you must be thinking— yes, every member is truly so gorgeous up close!
Meeting VAV was a great experience, and after getting to know them a little bit in real life, we grew even fonder of the group and their down-to-earth attitudes and friendly personalities. Combining that with their amazing stage presence and talent, it's no wonder we're rooting for their continued success in the future! Although we have worked with other artists in the past, VAV was really a blast to be around.
We hope to see VAV once again in the U.S. and hopefully see them back in Atlanta as well! We know all VAMPZ around the nation certainly feel the same as well.

CaptainMal has been involved with Korean entertainment since 2010. She travels to conventions in her area, showcasing her “Kpop Game Show’” and occasional Kpop cosplay. Although her favorite bands are INFINITE, Super Junior, and VIXX, she boasts love for a huge variety of artists and has been lucky enough to see many perform live! Other than Kpop, CaptainMal loves Disney, 1980’s rock, Daft Punk, gaming, and orange juice.

There's also...Val. He's a vampire, but he's different from the others. Plus, he's got secrets too.
I get secrets. The wings that sprout from my back were hidden from me my entire life. I also sometimes breathe fire. But no one - including me - can figure out what I fully shift into. Honestly...a part of me doesn't want to know.
But if I'm going to avenge my family, I need to figure it out before I flunk out.
𝓟𝓲𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓰𝓮 & 𝓟𝓵𝓪𝓰𝓾𝓮
Turns out-I'm a stone-cold killer. And I'm not sure I like it.
Last school term I figured out I was a dragon shifter. And then I killed a bunch of monsters. It was to save my friends...but also I kinda liked it. Or my dragon did.
Now, it's summer term at Mount Olympus Academy. Besides classes I also need to: find my mom, rescue my best friend, and help figure out a cure for the shifter plague that's sweeping across campus.
Talk about a heavy course load!
My personal life isn't any easier. Even though my vampire crush, Val, brought his fiancee back to school with him - I'm the one he's kissing.
Val isn't my only boy problem. There's also Nico, a one-eyed werewolf who's been tortured by the monsters and has a major alpha thing going on.
On top of that we have a new professor. With her searing, charismatic speeches, Maddox Tralano has MOA students ready to follow her into battle.
The drumbeat of war is growing louder, soon everyone will be forced to fight for their lives. Because when gods and monsters battle it out - there is no middle ground.
𝓦𝓲𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻 & 𝓦𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓭
I've turned traitor and spy. By the end of this, someone big is gonna die.
I hope it's not me.
My sister, Mavis, is going to be put on trial. Mr. Zee is certain to find her guilty of helping the monsters in their war against the gods. And then he'll kill her.
I can't let that happen.
So when I find out about a sword capable of wounding him, I set out to the collect the pieces.
With the sword in hand, I'll convince him to step down and free Mavis.
Or get killed trying.
My time at Mount Olympus Academy is coming to an end. The only question is, whether I'll exit the gates dead or alive.
