hey, i remembered the login for this account!
it’s been ages.  more than five years since my last update.  multiple attempts to control my weight since then.  finally, it looks like i’ve been able to stick to it!
the first pic was from around the last time i tried to lose weight.  i weighed probably 20 pounds more than my starting weight this time, so the photos show about a 60 pound difference
i’ve been keeping track of my daily caloric intake every day since early september.  i haven’t been working out, or playing ddr [i don’t think my knees can handle it anymore lol].  i do work a job where i average about 18k-23k steps a day.  but beyond that, just portion control and routine 5/7 days of the week.
and damn has it worked.
i still have about 14 pounds i want to lose, but if i can keep to this for the next 2-3 months i think i can get there.  it’s just crazy to me, to see how far i’ve come, where i was and where i’m at now.  past me would not believe this, at all.
i don’t really know what to say.  to anybody that’s still around and still has me on their follow list, thanks for believing in me!  to anybody that might be seeing my dumb face for the first time, anything is possible!
i might try to spruce up the page a little bit, we’ll see.  until then, well... seeya next stage!

TODAY’S DATE: 1/6/2016 TODAY’S WEIGHT: 248.2lbs (-1.6lbs since last week’s 249.8)
happy new year, everybody!  i’d say a pound worth of progress in one week is pretty decent.  i keep going a little bit over my goals every now and then, but otherwise everything’s going pretty smoothly.  also, now that the holidays are over, i think it might be a bit easier to stay on track.
in any case, i’m feeling great! better than i have in months, and i’m still really excited to be back on this whole thing.  i’m determined to hit my goal weight this year!

i would say i am very much back on track!  it’s been two weeks so far but i’m already feeling way better about myself than i was, and i’m already back under 250, so there’s that. :D

Status report!
Haven't been on this blog in a while, so I guess I should let everybody know how things are going. I haven't quit doing the thing! I've mainly just plateaued, so there isn't much to update on really. The weather has gotten nicer, so I've been able to ride my bike and take walks around town and whatnot, so that's been pretty nice. I got together with a couple friends on my birthday (the 13th) and played a bunch of ddr/itg, which was great. I somehow got a AA on Max 300, which surprised the hell out of me. Felt pretty great! My weight has been meandering between 255-260 pounds for what feels like ages. I'm wondering when I'm gonna start making significant progress again. Ultimately, I've been more relaxed about my diet; maybe I should change that. But yeah, don't worry guys, still alive!

my weight loss journey seems to be a big ol’ sinewave these days, which is pretty alright with me as long as it’s at least breaking even or trending downwards.  today, it breaks even, and that’s fine!

hey, check it out, progress update!  some of these days it gets a little frustrating, and i feel like i’ve been stagnating around the same weight for too long, but looking at this puts things into significant perspective for me.
i never imagined i could even do this at the beginning of the year, but here i am now.  and i will keep going, until i reach my goal weight, and i will hold onto that for as long as i can, because i finally feel like i’m capable of doing this.
2015 is great.  2015 is way better than 2014.

Conversation
Went ahead and updated my banner image to reflect the stages of my weight loss. I'm officially onto stage two, three road to 240! I'll be updating that occasionally, and definitely doing something fresh and new between stages.
This morning I did bump back up to 262, but I'm not worried about that; I know weight fluctuates within a few pounds, and the fact that I hit 260 at all has me giddy like a teenager. My confidence has already shot way up since the beginning of January, I feel fantastic!

today, i got a membership at planet fitness.  today, i walked on a treadmill with an incline for 30 minutes.  i then proceeded to ride the stationary bike for 50 minutes, going about 15 miles.
altogether, the machines said i burned ~800 calories.  solid first day, i think!  my legs are so sore, and it's only going to be worse tomorrow, rofl.  but it's a good hurt.
in exchange, this means i get to have some extra food tonight! heck yesssss~
IN OTHER NEWS: my old pair of skinny jeans fit almost perfectly today for the first time in over a year.  also, a pair of shorts i bought last summer that were accidentally much smaller than i meant to purchase, actually fit now.  wow.
